This is an important and complete list regarding the history of Northwest Territories, I belive it to be solid stable, comprehensive and well referenced. --Cloveious 02:42, 17 October 2005 (UTC)
- Comment it doesn't look much of a list to me. =Nichalp «Talk»= 19:08, 17 October 2005 (UTC)
- While true it is not a big list, only seven cities, the list is historically important to documenting the development of Northwest Territories, Canada. Five cities exist in modern times in different provinces. The list also try's to summarize why the location was changed, the historical impact of being the capital, and anything that might be relevant to being the capital. Comments on improvements and enhancements are always welcome. --Cloveious 22:58, 17 October 2005 (UTC)
- Support, because I can't find anything wrong with it. However, I wonder whether it might work better, (perhaps with a change of name and a little reworking) as a featured article rather than a list. OpenToppedBus - Talk to the driver 11:09, 26 October 2005 (UTC)
- Greetings, thanks for the support, I am not opposed to that idea, so if anyone has ideas to expand it to a featured article please post in the talk page. --Cloveious 02:14, 27 October 2005 (UTC)
NOTE:Due to insufficient comments to promote this list, and there being no oppose votes, I'll give this another 4 days to 02:42 GMT on 31 October, jguk 18:24, 27 October 2005 (UTC)
I created this a long time ago, then didn't touch it for awhile, then stumbled across it tonight, updated it and made it look prettier. I've also looked at List of discontinued merit badges in the Boy Scouts of America -- anyone with ideas on how to neatly organize that info, let me know. Tuf-Kat 08:17, 26 September 2005 (UTC)
- Support Looks good to me --Cloveious 11:57, 26 September 2005 (UTC)
- Comments a really nice list, but does it satisfy the criterion of "usefulness"? The list does not "[bring] together a group of related articles that are likely to be of interested to a user researching that topic" - none of the badges listed are linked, and I guess articles for each badge do not (and are not likely to) exist. As for improvements, it would be nice to have an image of each badge in the table, and the information in the discontinued badges list could be included here: for example, the "current" list could have a "replaced" column, and there could be a separate section for discontinued badges, with notes / footnotes / cross references where relevant. -- ALoan (Talk) 15:45, 26 September 2005 (UTC)
- Uploading pictures of the badges would presumably be a copyvio. I separated the historic and modern badges because it's not as simple as X was eventually changed to Y. Some badges were combined, separated, brought back, and renamed multiple times, so I thought it best to keep that separate. Tuf-Kat 16:34, 26 September 2005 (UTC)
- You might want to wikilink all the badges to their respective wikipedia articles. That would improve the list's usefulness. —thames 16:07, 26 September 2005 (UTC)
- I have doubts that that will actually be helpful, but I've done it. Tuf-Kat 16:34, 26 September 2005 (UTC)
- Support, looks good, though I'll echo ALoan's concerns about usefulness. Still, as a reference, it serves its purpose. The lead should probably be reworded so that something related to the title can be put in bold. --Spangineer (háblame) 14:15, 7 October 2005 (UTC)
- Comment: I still would like to hear how this list fulfills the criterion of usefulness, specially when the badges themselves are not even described and don't have articles of their own. -- Rune Welsh ταλκ 04:32, 8 October 2005 (UTC)
