Darent
River Darent I am trying to make this entry as accurate as possible. In providing what I believe to be the correct derivation of the name I used a reference to an Irish (Gaeilge) published by M.H.Gill in 1959 in Dublin. It was not my intention to produce a new and original article on the subject. During the work which is ongoing, and unless you continue to interfere, WILL be on-going I inadvertantly made the phrase (M.H.Gill) into a wikilink. After saving and SEEING it in blue I decided to check, discovered there was no link, but was invited by the code to produce one. because I am far too busy to be chasing butterflies I entered a couple of salient facts about M.H.Gill with the intention of returning to do the the job properly at a future date.
While I may be a little unconventional in my methodology, it is my main intent in life to ensure the truth is always told, most particularly on the internet, and irrespective of how I arrive at a result I have no problem in having a mentor, who will pick up the flotsam, or 'pull me up' and suggest a better way of doing things.
In the case of the River Darent, some previous subscriber had given a wrong explanation of the origin of the name. (I must now confess that my native language is Irish, English being acquired later.) Having researched the possibilities using an actual copy of Bartholomews Gazetteer (1951)i realise that the previous contributor had used the internet as a primary source and in particular had used an internet published appendix of the 1901 Gazetteer to arrive at an erroneous conclusion: a. that Darent and Darenth are the same word which they patently are NOT and b. obviously did not not check the primary source for the entries "Darent" and/or Darenth. This is the same sloppy research which has the Irish greet each other (and strangers) with "May the road rise to meet you".
And if that sounds like a grumpy old man, it's because I am ... However, I would love to here from you. Yours in letters etc. Seán de Bhál (Shaun Wall) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Southockendon (talk • contribs) 18:58, 10 January 2015 (UTC)

- If you waffle at me I will waffle back. I once drove my car into the ford at Eynesford and got stuck. I was surprised to discover recently the rivers Eden and Darent start very close to each other, virtually in the same field behind Clacket Lane services.
- Surely you mean that you had created a red link? I beseech you to think it possible that you may be mistaken if you think the title you created was optimum. You created M.H.Gill&Son Ltd. Dublin - this had a significant lack of spaces and the word Dublin was redundant. If you had bothered to do a bit of searching you would have found Gill & Macmillan and I suggest that if you have anything more to say about M. H. Gill & Son it should be added to that article. Note that creating redirects can be useful. I have restored your stub - check your contribs history.
- On the other hand, if after diligent searching you cannot find any article on a certain subject, then it is foolhardy to leave an unreferenced stub in mainspace for more that five minutes. Start your article in a user sandbox. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:02, 12 January 2015 (UTC)
About the Hindi name of Dhalsim
Hi, I'm a new user in English Wiki. I want to ask you about how do you know that the Hindi name of Dhalsim is "धल्सिम"? Can you give me some source? The reason why I'm ask you is I edited "धल्सिम" in Japanese Wiki for Dhalsim, but someone undid my edit ([1]). That's why I need a source to prove my viewpoint is right. I Hope you can help me and thank you very much. Nächsten erbe (talk) 01:57, 11 January 2015 (UTC)

Regarding Peacelink page deleted
Hi, with regards to the page PeaceLinkLive which was deleted under speedy deletion. I have re-created the page here User:VA1979/Peacelink with a few changes. Kindly review and also note that most of the material that matches the linked pages are celebrity names and statements made to describe the movement which are similar on all PR websites and the official website also. I think this may not be a violation. If you disagree please help me understand why exactly this page should remain deleted and how I can bring it back again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by VA1979 (talk • contribs) 19:59, 13 January 2015 (UTC)

Barbara Jordan School of Public Affairs
Hello. Barbara Jordan School of Public Affairs was deleted a while ago. I'm a Graduate Assistant for the department of public affairs and i was assigned to design a wiki-page for the school. Contents that were presumed copied from the webpage school of affairs are contents for the school. It was later i read that there were terms and conditions to fulfill. I made that known to the school, and materials as been provided to continue with the page. Would wait for your response as soon as possible. Hi, I have realized that you have changed the content of article Biram Dah Abeid yesterday. This article was a stub when I first saw it and I expanded it to include more references and details. But you have reverted the article back to original text. Kindly help me understand what was wrong with the expansion and details added. — VA1979 (talk) 09:36, 15 January 2015 (UTC)
- Please learn a) to put new messages at the bottom of a talk page and b) to use wikilinks not external link format. The phrases "rising star", "unrelenting desire", etc. triggered my attention. In Wikipedia we prefer articles to grow organically. Heavy re-writes are usually only acceptable when the previous version was deplorable. In this case, at 5k bytes the previous article was far from being a stub. To do a heavy replace was dubious. To do a heavy replace inserting copyvio material was little better than vandalism. Please discuss any further changes to this article on the talk page. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:40, 15 January 2015 (UTC)

User page Moseley101 deletion
Sorry, am I missing something? I am trying to get my draft article assessed by someone so I can apply appropriate changes. That is very difficult when it is not up for more than 12 hours. If the sandbox is not the appropriate place (it has already suffered speedy deletion twice), and clearly my user page is also the wrong place, where should I do this? — Moseley101 (talk) 18:21, 15 January 2015 (UTC)

Şahdağ Turizm Mərkəzi
Hi it looks like you deleted Sahdağ Turizm Mərkəzi. This page should not be speedily deleted because: The article Şahdağ Turizm Mərkəzi substitutes the article Az:Şahdağ Qış-Yay Turizm Kompleksi. Şahdağ Turizm Mərkəzi is the new official name of the ski resort as it is included in www.shahdag.az or in the Wikipedia article Shahdag Mountain Resort.
The article Şahdağ Turizm Mərkəzi include many of the information covered in Az:Şahdağ Qış-Yay Turizm Kompleksi and includes many other updated information about the ski resort. The article in Azeri includes very similar information included in the articles in English Shahdag Mountain Resort and the article in Russian ru:Шахдагский зимне-летний туристический комплекс.
The article has been created and traduced from the articles English Shahdag Mountain Resort and Шахдагский зимне-летний туристический комплекс by the professional writer and translator from Azerbaijan Saida Asvarova. History of the Ordeal in England
Hello, I recently created an article called History of the Ordeal in England that you deleted for copyright violation. I am the copyright holder of the work that was copied and I have made this work available under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution-Sharealike 3.0 Unported License and the GNU Free Documentation License. I was hoping that you could reinstate the page or give me the text of the deleted page so that I can re-post it. — AlexanderGerten (talk) 15:32, 16 January 2015 (UTC)
- Not that it makes any difference at all but you use cc-by-sa-4.0 for your page and do not mention the gnu. The copyvio aspect can easily be solved. More problematical is the style - essays are deprecated. Wikipedia is not a free host but your essay smacked very much of using it as one. You have done an absolute minimum to create a Wikipedia article - you could not even manage to link to the ordeal article. You created one wikilink and could not get that one right. I have restored it to Draft:History of the ordeal in England. But if you actually want to contribute to Wikipedia, I recommend you to go carefully through existing articles in this area and improve them. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:17, 16 January 2015 (UTC)
Deleted file (photo)
Dear Mr. Haworth, You recently deleted a file I uploaded to my page, citing copyright violation. I noted in my upload the the file was released to the public as a publicity photo by Warner Brothers, as such anyone can use it with attribution. Please explain what other information you need that will allow me to use that file in on my page. Here is the link to my page: Ira Flatow. Thank you. Iflatow (talk) 03:21, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
- Terminology: even if you are Ira Flatow, you cannot refer to Ira Flatow as "my page" - read this. It is the page about you. Please provide a link to the deleted file and, more importantly, evidence that the image has been released. "Evidence provided on request" is simply not good enough - evidence must be provided at the time of upload. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:08, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
OR national societies pages
Hello, You proposed deletion of some national Operations Research pages for the lack of evidence of notability.
- Finnish Operations Research Society
- Hungarian Operations Research Society
- Italian Operations Research Society
I strongly disagree with that: Operations Research is a very important topic in academy and research, and national OR societies are at the heart of contributing and promoting the discipline. For example, many mathematical national societies have their wiki page, I don't see why OR would have a different treatment.
Furthermore, no such problem seems to exist for
- Danish Operations Research Society
- Operations Research Society of South Africa
- Operational Research Society
I don't see why some national OR societies should deserve different treatment. My goal in the long run is to have one wiki page for all European OR societies. Bfortz (talk) 11:11, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
- I have prodded the articles where no attempt has been made to provide evidence of notability. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:08, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
"Removed vandalism by...?"
Hi. Just noticed this edit on my watchlist. Fair comment about the vandalism, but I think you might mean "rapper" instead of [redacted]. I don't know if you can change your summary, but it might be an idea to fix that. — Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:32, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
- It is not possible to change edit summaries, so I have deleted the summary (the edit is fine and remains). Ritchie333, I have also redacted it from your comment above and will be deleting that edit too. Even though it is almost certainly an innocent error, it is not something that should be publicly visible. — Thryduulf (talk) 13:50, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
That's fine - I think this was nothing more than a typo that was misread. — Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:55, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
- I was surprised how long Private Eye allowed Bill Tidy to write about the Blagdon amateur [redacted]. But is the word so sensitive that it may not even be used humorously in an edit summary? The edit I reverted unambiguously stated "he started [redacted] in 2013". — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:08, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
The trouble with humour is it doesn't travel well internationally at all - I'm sure stereotypical Americans watching Frankie Boyle in his heyday on Mock The Week would be shocked, and we all know about Charlie Hebdo which, at the bottom line, has humour as a core value. For what it's worth, I laughed at the typo, but somebody who's prepared to use WT:CSD as a place to contest (what appears to be) a very obvious A7, and who might not have English as a first language might not see the funny side of it over a spelling mistake. Jus' saying. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 15:30, 17 January 2015 (UTC)
- It's all about context. You have to assume that an edit summary will be read without reference to the associated edit or any other context not explicitly referenced (hence the "see talk" summaries). In this case it read like the editor who was reverted was being accused of being a serious criminal, even if that was not the intent. Thryduulf (talk) 17:04, 17 January 2015 (UTC)

I am reviewing the user's UTRS ticket, and I am wondering about something: WP:SOCK says that: If you have lost the password to an existing Wikipedia account (...) you may well want to create a new account with a clean password.
This seems to be what the user did, as they now claim, including putting the new account name on the old one's userpage. And yet you blocked the later account as a sock of the former one, despite no overlap and clear linking by the user themselves. Is there something else going on I am not aware of and that I should know before unblocking? Thanks. ☺ · Salvidrim! · ✉ 21:14, 18 January 2015 (UTC)

Could you send me the deleted article as I am going to write a contribution on this topic, which is a rather new concept in academia and practice (currently there are 2-3 research papers on Wikimedia which successfully applied the concept). Now I want to repost the same with other external links and with more detailed outlook. Ronald Savage deletion
RHaworth - How can you delete a research on a great man that stands for hope for so many people with disability, you call yourself admin, you should be band yourself, being that you did not fully read WHY the first contributions to Ronald Savage was deleted because I didn't add the useful meaning of Author Ronald Savage to which I added it as I was told. Then you come behind and say it is a dub of the first, of cause it is but the usefulness was added (re-look at the bold text which was added, and you deleted something that was asked to be put in). How dear you even delete someone who gives hope to so many people. I think I will report this to the news this is clearly an attack on people with disabilities BY YOU. I will send this research on Ronald Savage with your deleted Admin and see what the NEWS HAS TO SAY ABOUT YOU ON WIKIPEDIA.ORG. I think you really need to think about what you deleted, and how this is a clear attack on people with disabilities. You need to rethink what you did and UN-BLOCK your CRUEL BLOCK ON SOMEONE WITH disabilities that has done great things and doing great things. — 98.116.213.162 (talk) 03:39, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
- @anon. user - The article was simply created too many times, mainly because of copyright infringements. You cannot just simply copy/paste from a website and put it on here (especially when it comes to biographies of living persons), it needs to be rewritten with your own words. DivineAlpha (talk) 04:39, 20 January 2015 (UTC)
See this is where he is wrong this was not a cut and paste at all, nothing about this story was copied. This is why I say people really need to get their FACTS RIGHT before commenting or deleting anything, if this was the case for it being took down, then it needs to be UN-Blocked. The FIRST [and second] story was cut and paste, but this story was not copied or cut from anywhere. This block was and is a mis-use OF POWER and violates Wikipedia rule. This story is written in my own words, and no Content of the story violates any copyrights, therefore it needs to go back up, before anyone deletes it again or blocks it do your own research FIRST before blocking it again, and there is no one on this site that can say this was or is a cut and paste token from anywhere, how I can say this it's because I wrote this on my own and is my research paper for school, I took down my own notes from when he spoke at my Community Center and I told him I was going to write about him from these notes. — 98.116.213.162 (talk) 11:25, 20 January 2015 (UTC) BE
Ronald Savage deletion. RHaworth - I have read your response to the unjust deletion on the Contents of Author Ronald Savage, that does not violate any copyrights and the useful meaning of this Author was added new to the article, The consensus decision as you claim seem to be judged on the issue of the missing importance of the Author that I left out that was not in the first article but since has been added as requested and your new deletion was done without you reading the new added contents. I would LOVE to hear your response to the deletion of this fine author and one of the only elected officials with Tourette Syndrome be deleted after the new important information that shows its significances was added as requested. — Ronald Savage 23:58, 20 January 2015 (UTC) buzzent Ronald Savage 23:58, 20 January 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Buzzent (talk • contribs)

Now I know you are not now claiming that I am auther Ronald Savage, if I was him why in the world would I be on here writing a story on him, this Man has hundreds of thousands of dollars, It seem that now you are trying to claim that I am writing about myself and just wait for someone to write about me, I hope that is not what you are claiming, if so that is a loser move to me, as if you have nothing else to say because I was right about you just blocking the article without reading it, as you admitted to me that is what you did, now you're claiming I'm a author, is this a professional website ? What a defamation of character claim, this is the first... SMH, I will just handle this by bringing it up to the next level and deal with Wikipedia, I trued to deal with you as it states to do first, now you're claiming I'm author Ronald Savage the author because that is what it sound like to me. — (UTC) Buzzent 00:50, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) The fact that you signed your previous message "Ronald Savage" (as you did when you originally posted this message itself before you changed the signature on it, and as you did in your most recent message on your own talk page) was reasonable grounds for RHaworth to assume that you are Ronald Savage. --David Biddulph (talk) 02:43, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
- Please explain why your signature included the name Ronald Savage if you are not he. The best I can offer as far as getting an article in, is that you should follow this advice and find an experienced Wikipedian to write about you. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:59, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
Airborne Tactical Advantage Company
Please reinstate the article I wrote on Airborne Tactical Advantage Company back in 2012. It's deletion was wrong because the sources were legitimate and this company just crashed yet another airplane (October 2013 in California, see <http://losangeles.cbslocal.com/2014/10/29/aircraft-reported-down-in-city-of-port-hueneme/>) which is why I wrote the article to begin with. I recall the reason for deletion in 2012 was related to using supposedly poor sources, but there are lots of decent sources available on this company, and its (many) airplane crashes including mainstream US media (CBS, CNN, ABC, NPR etc.) plus US Government agency sources (NTSB, Federal Aviation Administration), and I can list more if you would just put the article back up. They crash jets a lot and Wikipedia needs this article! C/J — Preceding unsigned comment added by Concept Jet (talk • contribs)
- (talk page stalker) this was a G13 deletion and following a request at WP:REFUND it has been restored to Draft:Airborne Tactical Advantage Company. JohnCD (talk) 20:02, 20 January 2015 (UTC)

Some part of your comment on my talk page really disappointed me, plus encouraged me also. I take your comment as a compliment. I don't need any kind of adminship for my own purpose or any COI if you think like that, I am fine with the tools I am working on. I can also work manually without any further tool if you think that I am only looking for adminship tools etc. I won't tell anyone what experience I have or won't ask anyone for RfA nomination, will never ever go for adminship. You can't judge anyone with the No. of edits, but you can only judge with the way how an editor makes edits. Sometime I get disappointed alot when things become personal but I always assume good faith....Do respect, get respect...! A.Minkowiski _Lets t@lk 19:15, 22 January 2015 (UTC)

Robert T. Beyer
Please restore Robert T. Beyer. I was in the process of looking up sources. There's a biography of him at the American Acoustics Society. Why the rush to wipe out something that's obviously a work in progress? Thanks! 12:54, 22 January 2015 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eleuther (talk • contribs)
- It was not obvious that it was wip. It had been sitting untouched for three hours and it was no different from similar one sentence stubs which get rightly deleted by dozens every day. An editor with eight years experience ought to jolly well know that it is utterly foolhardy to start a page in mainspace. Restored to user:Eleuther/Robert T. Breyer. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:16, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
Three hours, wow! I would say instead that an editor with eight years experience ought to receive a bit of slack from the pissant patrol. But that's just me, it's not a policy. Eleuther (talk) 00:07, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
- @Eleuther: be realistic - how am I expected to recognise that an article has been submitted by an experienced editor. It would at least treble the number of pages I need to view. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:07, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
Wow, treble. And it might require some thinking too. You're right, it's much too much of a burden to place on a such an elevated person as yourself. Pardon my intrusion. Eleuther (talk) 17:53, 24 January 2015 (UTC)
Daubism
I came across a reference to the term "daubist movement" online, so I looked up daubism on Wikipedia to find out what, if anything, it was. I discovered that the page was deleted by you in April 2011, on the grounds that it was a "blatant hoax".
Having never heard of it myself I clearly have no bias here, but it does appear to be a real thing, and arguably notable as a catalyst for a 2000 reform of Australian copyright law. Mentions on reputable websites include this and this (footnote 297).
In light of this, I wonder if you can provide any information supporting your decision to delete the page. I realise it was a long time ago. — 14.2.51.24 (talk) 14:13, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
- (See also this AfD discussion.) The deletion decision was very simple. A more realistic deletion reason would have been "non-notable art movement with no evidence offered". But since that is not a standard speedy deletion criterion, I was happy to let the nominator's "hoax" tag stand.
- But it was about something completely different. Its text is preserved here in the Wikibin.
- A quick Google search suggests that there are sufficient reliable sources for the Australian daubism. So if you were to create an account and write an article, it would probably stick. Or you could request a new article here and here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:51, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
Canyouhearmeknocking415 & co.
As you've started cleaning this sock drawer, may I direct you to a few more?
Like the late User:Bentsutomu1234, these accounts did nothing but post the anti-Einsteinian ramblings of "Ben T. Ito" to userspace pages, now deleted. One more, User:Coolcatgogo, is now at MfD—perhaps you could put it out of its misery? Thanks, הסרפד (call me Hasirpad) 18:57, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
- Was there ever an SPI for any of the Canyouhearmeknocking415 (Ben T. Ito) socks? — Meters (talk) 20:45, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
- User:Bentsutomu is clearly him too (but now dormant). Gives full name in User:Bentsutomu/sandbox as Ben Tsutomu Ito. — Meters (talk) 20:51, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
- Why do we need an SPI? The sock puppetry is so self-evident. I did think of starting one myself to document the situation but there is a standard, rather messy format with which I am not familiar. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:58, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
- Just asking. For those of us who are not admins it is not possible to easily deal with future socks without either having an existing SPI or starting one (it can be viewed as a personal attack to revert an edit as socking unless there is an SPI case or one is then started). I've seen new sock cases sometimes sit for a week or two before anyone looks at them, so it can be rather frustrating. Anyways, it looks as if Bentsutomu is actually the master. Meters (talk)
- Thank you. Formalizing the sockpuppetry charge—whether by the usual SPI, or as you did here—also helps with marking future nonsense (and there will be: see his MO on other sites) as G5. הסרפד (call me Hasirpad) 23:32, 22 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi RHaworth, I was trying to take a look at the srticle Kuttiattoor Thittayil Sree Daivathar Temple, which is up for deletion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Kuttiattoor Thittayil Sree Daivathar Temple (2nd nomination). - So what are you suggesting or asking me to do? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:22, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
Restore it, possibly with a note at the two closest related articles suggesting consolidation. — Anmccaff (talk) 15:26, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
- So which do you consider to be the "two closest related articles"? The entire content of the article was
In engineering, a pavement or pavement structure is a multi-layered structure designed and built for the purpose of bearing loads and enduring the weather.
- If you can provide reliable evidence that this is a widely used definition, add it to the road surface article and create a redirect at pavement (engineering). If not, nothing needs to be done. — — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:37, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
"Pavement" is the default term for "any road material bar fill" in many anglophone countries, and even seen in British technical publications. "Road surface," on the other hand, often means literally that, the uppermost boundary. This is akin to deleting the entry for "dog" and redirecting it to "fur."Anmccaff (talk) 17:04, 23 January 2015 (UTC)

Hi, What happened with the Androphobia AfD? As I posted on the requests for move page, I nominated it. Twinkle created it as 2nd nomination. I saw "2 nomination" already existed and thus my nomination was the third. I moved the "2nd" I just created to "3rd" and requested "2" be moved to "2nd" for naming purposes. Now it looks like you've deleted the original second nomination and moved the third into its place? Sara Goldrick-Rab
Hi, I would like to request a reduction in the protection level for Sara Goldrick-Rab. A draft of the proposed new article is available at Draft:Sara Goldrick-Rab. While she did not meet notability guidelines in the past, I believe she does now according to the guidelines and "Average Professor Test" suggested here, given her influence on President Obama's free community college proposal. I hope that my draft has demonstrated this notability, though I'm happy to include more (and different) types of sources to show her influence within higher education more clearly. Additionally, if you have any additional suggestions for the article, I would appreciate your feedback. This article is my first, so I'm sure your comments would be helpful. Thank you for your time. Have a great day! OkfochushTikabi (talk) 17:55, 25 January 2015 (UTC)

Do you remember the story with this IP editor?
I see you deleted Agaton Sax and the Byköpings Village Festival in 2013. I recall that there is a disruptive Swedish-based IP editor with a thing for these animated children's films and a tendency to create articles on them and associated actors in talk space, but I don't remember whether he/she is banned or what. 192.36.199.130 is currently active and has recreated Talk:Agaton Sax och Byköpings gästabud (film), which you deleted in November 2014, and which has just been redeleted. Clearly the same person or group; do you recall whether it's a revert on sight or an expect bad edits but judge on the merits case? Yngvadottir (talk) 12:31, 26 January 2015 (UTC)
They have successfully created a couple of new articles via others moving them out of talk space into article space. Of these Krakel Spektakel is seriously problematic. The Swedish is coherent and depending on the editor's status, I'll either expand it and try to demonstrate notability or pursue deletion. I'm going to leave a note on the editor's talk page about unexplained blanking, removal of maintenance templates, and bad English, again in case the user is not banned. Yngvadottir (talk) 13:09, 26 January 2015 (UTC)
- If 192.36.199.133 (talk) is currently globally blocked, then 192.36.199.130 should be blocked as well so I have done that. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:42, 26 January 2015 (UTC)
