C.P Dubb

Trying to start wiki page for C. P. Dubb. It's for a music producer. Has a lot of music currently in radio rotation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.202.68.228 (talk) 01:24, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

Can I proceed with setting up his page? His real name is Christopher P Washington. Links: [1] [2] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.106.149.244 (talk) 17:22, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

My apologies. Can we proceed with unlocking? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fiero1234 (talkcontribs) 22:40, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

Yesterday morning, you deleted the above article on the grounds that it is a hoax. The article had been prodded on the grouns of unreferenced and non notable. The article had been created the day before it was prodded. I thought the article was a good faith attempt to fill a hole, so to speak. Therefore I objected on the grounds that the prod was to quick and the article should be left a little while to allow for improvements (it being too close to my bedtime to do any more). About an hour later I got a message from a "friend" of the prodder asking for an explanation. About 40 minutes after that, you deleted the article anyway, so as it stands, there is no means of rectifying any problem whether real or apparant. Who actually determines whether an article is in fact a blatant hoax or not? Any way, I have a reference that would support the article and the information stated within it (and the correct information if the information given is in anyway inaccurate). I would appreciate it if it were possible for the article to be undeleted so that its deficiencies can be rectified. Op47 (talk) 12:39, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

Having stripped out some dubious-looking stuff and then Prodded it as unref and non-notable (do we need an article about every single given name? Probably not), I was surprised to see it deleted as a hoax: (a) PROD would have given the original editor a week to find sources or otherwise justify its existence, and (b) it certainly exists as a name, as there are two WP articles on people with it. All a bit strange. PamD 16:15, 13 April 2012 (UTC)
Thankyou for undeleting the article. It is appreciated. Also for the benefit of anyone reading my request above, "friend" means I can't think of a precise word to describe the person and yet I needed to describe the person. The 2 people are not necesserily actual friends. Sorry for any confusion. Op47 (talk) 17:38, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

Request for undeletion

I request that you undelete Glucojasinogen (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views). As you will be able to ascertain from the archived discussion on Jimmy Wales' talk page, it was judicially created. It was also tagged with {{R from other namespace}} which would also have been a heads-up about this. __meco (talk) 21:41, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

What I meant is that this is a highly unusual situation. It is the documentation of a case where a vandal's insertion of fictitious information has been plagiarized by two peer-reviewed scientific publications. I inform you of this per your question just in case you didn't appraise yourself of the discussion on Jimbo's talk page. I'm basically citing WP:IAR for this exceptional matter, and I was hoping you would see that this is in fact an excellent axample of where this guideline is needed. For that reason I await your reconsideration before going to deletion review. __meco (talk) 22:59, 13 April 2012 (UTC)

I think you are confusing something. I'm not sure what you are referring to. __meco (talk) 15:27, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

  • Not sure what I am referring to? I am referring to the utterly inappropriate use of Jimbo's talk page to raise the matter. Since when did Jimbo make policy round here? The only confusion was that I thought you had started the discussion there. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:38, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
  • Either you didn't read the section on Jimmy Wales' page or you have misunderstood what you read. I don't find your description of it congruent with reality. __meco (talk) 19:04, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

BE@TKiCKEDiN

It has come to my attention that you have been deleting an article I have worked for hours and hours on and have not saved at all. I demand you restore the article for its original purpose. You also noted to me that the page had no reason to it and was not important when I clearly stated that the article was put up as the content on the article was clearly notable and about a famous musician and YouTuber who has thousands of subscribers and has recorded in the world's most famous recording studio. I demand that my article is put back up onto Wikipedia and that you start doing your job properly instead of making teenagers think they have done something wrong. Good day. BE@TKiCKEDiN (talk) 12:57, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

  • I am willing to e-mail you a copy of your text but: a) tell me which article you are talking about and b) read this. You have recourse to deletion review. Please moderate your language. Phrases such as "users like you disgust me", "banned from posting on this page" or "demand you restore the article" will simply antagonise people against you. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:24, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

Beykenthoca

Mobbing is when you intimidate people about things or put them on spot. Asking any one their identity or asking them to disclose themselves ? Have you looked at the updates made on all pages before insulting people and accusing them ??? and for what for god sake ? (Beykenthoca (talk) 17:29, 14 April 2012 (UTC))

  • Re personal details: did you actually see the words "stress that doing so is entirely optional". There are hundreds of updates being made every hour. Obviously it is impossible for me to look at all of them. But why are you wasting your time moaning at me? I made some helpful suggestions on your talk page and I see that you have not acted on any of them. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:38, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

Block evasion by Beatkickedin?

Hi, I am trying to clean up one of Beatkickedin's creations, Charli XCX, and have started to clear out a lot of the junk (she is slightly notable though, I have checked), I noticed this IP 78.150.136.35 adding stuff, if you check the contributions it's *only* to articles that Beat created, ok so only four edits so far, but would appear to be the same user. Thought I would point this out to you rather than going to ANI, this could become problematic if the IP takes umbrage at my article pruning. Cheers! CaptainScreebo Parley! 11:33, 15 April 2012 (UTC)

  • Agreed, almost certainly the same. Problem with blocking: those edits were less than 24 hrs after my blocking Beatkickedin with "autoblock any IP addresses used". This implies that the kid had changed to a different IP address from that which he had used when logged in. See also 78.147.64.107 (talk) - same ISP also editing Charli XCX. In short, blocking may be pointless - he will just change to a new IP address. But I shall watch it and please let me know if you detect any more - especially if it involves personal attack. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:21, 15 April 2012 (UTC)
Ok, thanks I'll keep my eyes open. CaptainScreebo Parley! 00:14, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

Evisible

You have deleted my entry for my company [Evisible, doubly spammed at Evisible integrated media], I understand that you are ensuring that Wikipedia content remains of good quality, so I would be grateful if you give me some pointers on how to do it properly, I have no interest in creating an overtly promotional page just a description of the business. I have tried adding references but the editor doesn't seem to recognise the <references /> or {{Reflist}} tags that I have deployed. I am sure you are very busy, but any guidance you can offer would be gratefully recieved. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dcbreeze (talkcontribs)

  • It is an hallmark of spammers that they cannot be bothered to learn wiki markup or even look at how other articles do things. Kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks your company is notable and writes about it. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:59, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

I'm sorry but I think my company is notable enough for an entry in as much as it is actually a company registered in the UK and providing services to other organisations around the world, I have accepted your point on COI and advertorial content and have attempted to remove promotional content and talk just about the type of organisation we are in general terms and the history of our company.

I feel your tone and insinuation that I am a spammer after my request for constructive guidance is quite insulting and uterly subjective, you may personally not find my entry as interesting or notable, I could say the same about your page which seems to me to be aggressive towards and dismissive of new users of Wikipedia, even you were a newbie once. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dcbreeze (talkcontribs) 13:36, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

May I refer you to this guidance for editors. I will be seeking arbitration on this issue. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dcbreeze (talkcontribs) 13:57, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

I have no interest in the notability or otherwise of your own page or whether notability is required for it, I do however take offence at your tone and your insinuation that I am a spammer and as such I will seek investigation of your practices as an administrator on Wikipedia and with regard to the slanderous nature of your comments on a public forum. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dcbreeze (talkcontribs) 08:46, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Copyvio?

While patrolling new files, I ran across this File:Sukhbir - Self Portrait.png which appears to be an image of text. The text itself should be under copyright, so isn't this a copyvio, even if unintentional? I'm not 100% on this, thus I didn't tag for speedy. Dennis Brown (talk) 12:31, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

Can we please take off these names?

I think I have finished uniforming my URI references to the way they should be. Will re-check if not. Can we p l e a s e take off all but the first name on the beautiful nav template which is ruined by the additions of those other names since they were not Mayflower pilgrims and came later and therefore have no connection with the Mayflower? (Please be kind my nerves are not the best today . Really they aren't.) Thankyou. Mugginsx (talk) 16:00, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

Now you can yell. I meant the ADVERSARIES section only - all but the first name. The other names have nothing to do with the Mayflower. Sorry. Mugginsx (talk) 16:21, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

  • Please learn to spell my username. Once and, hopefully, for all the usage of {{talkback}} is this: I have left a message on user talk:Example. Several days later Example gets round to replying. Being unsure whether I am still watching his page, Example places {{Talkback|Example|section title}} on my talk page. If you leave a message for me on my talk page, I will be alerted automatically. Adding a talkback tag to the message merely serves to suggest that you are a newbie. Do you get it now? Why do I have to change the template - at the time you were reverting my frivolous edit you could have removed the names in question. Why did you not do so?RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:32, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

Because I did revert them once and you put them back in. here April 13th. Did not know you were alerted immediately and did not need talkback tag. Mugginsx (talk) 16:43, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

It was an accident, and I usually ask before I revert an Administrator's edit but I know for a fact that some Wiki articles that say the subject was a Mayflower passenger are in error and I assume you picked up the information from one of those articles while making the template. I am trying to clean those up. I will not bother any further and Thank you. Mugginsx (talk) 17:00, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

I see. Well they are colonists who came on later ships to live at Plymouth and many moved to establish other colonies. There is a basic misunderstanding with the meaning of the word Pilgrims among Americans. The meaning of the term has changed in later years and is used more generally but it is historically incorrect and the earlier meaning (the meaning ascribed by scholars) is in the religious context i.e., the Separatists, all those who did not accept the Church of England. The rest were adventurers, and other people. The template is so good because it brings all of the Mayflower articles together for easy access to all readers, researchers, and scholars and for that I thank you very much Mugginsx (talk) 17:40, 16 April 2012 (UTC)

RfA

I'm contemplating a go at RfA, and would invite your opinion on my talk page. Several people like the idea, but I've noticed your ability to cut through the BS, being both honest and blunt. If you would rather not comment or do not have the time, feel free to ignore. No offense will be taken. Dennis Brown (talk) (contrib) 14:19, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Just as much commercial as TurboCASH, but if you keep on deleting before I can even write a proper story... what the hell do you expect???

User RHaworth (talk) deleted this article after you started editing it, with a reason of: G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion

Thanks but no thanks: Than I'm quite done in putting more effort into it. Go and delete TurboCASH and see what happens wise guy! --DeTandarts (talk) 18:19, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

  • Your contributions history suggests that you may not have a COI in this subject. It is extremely unwise to try and develop an article in the (article) namespace. You should always start with a {{userspace draft}} in, for example, user:DeTandarts/sandbox. Do not move it into the (article) namespace until it is fleshed out and, above all, contains links to reliable, independent sources. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 19:21, 17 April 2012 (UTC)

Hi. When you recently edited Erythema ab igne, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Kangri (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Walter, if you were really sorry, why do you insist on continuing to create sockpuppets? Blocks apply to individuals, not accounts. If you would really like to come back you need to be sock free for at least six months to a year. Bmusician 12:36, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

Retry...

May I wish you a very good day RHaworth. Earlier today you deleted my article David mulcrone as a hoax. Whilst I admit that there was little truth in it, the birthday I provided was true, thus making it the involved David Mulcrone's birthday today. I was hoping of printing it off and giving it to him as a birthday card before it was taken down, but I have to say your speed and agility as a Wikipedia moderator surprised me. Is it possible that you reinstate the article for -say- 5 minutes so I can print it? There is a joke between me and my friend (dave) that we Wikipedia everything - keep on trucking my man - Wikipedia is awesome. — Tr74 (talk) 14:56, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

  • Speed? It had survived for more than half an hour which is far to long for crap like that. Don't you realise that Wikipedia is awesome simply because we keep it free of rubbisch like yours? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:56, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

Question

Can you give me permission to release the bit about that the admin's "outbirsts" to my mentor, ItsZippy via email? Tomtomn00 (talkcontributions) 18:37, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

  • Which "bit" do you mean? Perhaps you mean: "I was shocked by Fetchcomms outburts and doubly shocked to see that he is an admin. The first requirement of a Wikipedia admin is that they must have a thick skin so I had no hesitation in giving him this public reprimand." I cannot be bothered to read Fetchcomms' long-winded reply in full but I suggest that you do. I think it constitutes the nearest you will get to an apology and I suggest you let the matter drop. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 23:56, 18 April 2012 (UTC)

Rob Kendrick deletion

Hi, my written article on rob kendrick has been speedy delete on the grounds there is already a rob kendrick. however, the rob kendrick page that exists on the wiki site is for rob kendrick the band member- i'm writing a page on rob kendrick the actor (different person altogether). As the head of the fan club, I took it upon myself to write his page and it is my first. can i ask why it's been deleted? i saw the programs he worked on were here, and as such felt i could add this page. thanks! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Felrg (talkcontribs) 10:11, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

Okay - what should i provide? interviews? reviews? i figured because he's mentioned on multiple other wiki pages it would warrant it. sorry for asking so many questions- very new to this — Preceding unsigned comment added by Felrg (talkcontribs) 10:44, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

from them- majorly in Sugartown (TV series). he also features in the list of episodes and conrtibutors sections of New Tricks (TV series) and Caerdydd. i've got national newspaper interviews to put up here if that helps too! the sugartown one links to the wrong rob kendrick atm... — Preceding unsigned comment added by Felrg (talkcontribs) 11:05, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

VERY GOOD POINT- will change that now! have put references- his agency page, an interview and his actors spotlight page. thanks for all your help in this, i know i must be a pain in the arse =) Felrg (talk) 15:42, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

MCP's project

Thank you Roger for moving them to es:wp. I think that better than interwikied, their history should be moved. I never did it before and I don't have interwiki rights, but I think that there are a method to do that. Well, "complicated" is a way to say inapropiated things, like their intention of starting Spanish articles on en:wp when I "recomended" strongly to work on the Wikipedia of the same language of the final article, or a demand to protect Spanish articles (before they were created) to prevent their creation by other people (I might refuse that idea). As I said, I'll try to talk another time with them and show them where the problem was. See you. --Millars (talk) 13:48, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

Hi Roger. I liked to keep my e-mail for you, as a personal e-mail and not to send it without asking me before, but well, don't worry. I met Maria Calzada at her office before, and we were in contact but I don't know why, the contact was losing. When I said that I'll try to talk one time more, I was thinking about a personal meeting to make the project useful for everybody, without problems for nobody. I want to clarify that I sent you my first e-mail because I feel a bit responsible for these editions because I couldn't handle it better. Thanks. --Millars (talk) 14:23, 20 April 2012 (UTC)

Hi Roger, Thank you for your work. Marbora is working on migrating contents in Spanish to the Spanish wikipedia. We will keep an eye on students work and will make sure contents go to the Spanish wikipedia. Thanks. --Mcptrad (talk) 16:20, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
  • Millars, my humble apologies for sending your e-mail to Maria without permission. It was a breach of etiquette. I completely agreed with you so it just seemed simpler to forward it rather than re-writing it in my own words. Nyttend rejected your deletion tags because they were inappropriate. There is no need to learn the extensive range of deletion tags; you can always use {{db|reason}}
Maria, pleased to read your reply. I note that UJI specialises in information technology. I recommend that you contact someone in your IT department and get them to install the MediaWiki software on the university's internet. It can be set up so that wikilinks can point to Wikipedias. On it hundreds of students can write their own translations of the Penguin Books article and no-one will accuse you freeloading. I look forward to your project actually producing some live pages on es:. (I'm sure you have been told this before but I do find it amusing that your initials suggest "male chauvinist pig" to English speakers - or at least to this one!) — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:50, 26 April 2012 (UTC)
  • Roger, I have already talked to a lecturer at the Computing Department and, for next academic year, we are going to do precisely what you recommend. Best for now and thanks again. On mcp HAHAHA, I actually never thought about it, but it does convey a rather implicit message to non-advisable males doesn't it?

--Mcptrad (talk) 18:11, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

What do you think of this?

You blocked Press10corsocomo (talk · contribs) last year. We also have Silgrif (talk · contribs) editing, and only editing, the same articles. Dougweller (talk) 12:28, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

It could be someone with a WP:COI the same as them. I've requested a Sockpuppet Investigation here. --Tomtomn00 (talkcontributions) 12:31, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
If someone has been blocked for spam user name as Press10corsocomo was, it is not a wikicrime for them to create a new account. I see no grounds to block Silgrif. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:41, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
I requested the SPI to just see if they are the same. --Tomtomn00 (talkcontributions) 12:46, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
Why bother? I am prepared to accept that they are the same. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:48, 21 April 2012 (UTC)
I agree, which means we have COI issues. Dougweller (talk) 12:52, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for putting to my attention that my talk page had been cluttered with a big archive using a lot of space. I have taken your kind advice and moved all materials pertaining to materials December 31, 2011 and earlier plus non-esssential materials (disambiguation links suggestions, photo deletions etc) to their respective archive pages. All I am left with in my current talk page are essential 2012 talk materials which is much more manageable now. Regards werldwayd (talk) 14:57, 21 April 2012 (UTC)

7eventh Time Down

Just to notify you, I recreated 7eventh Time Down, an article that you deleted yesterday. Let me just tell you once and for all that these sources (band's website, facebook, twitter) prove their existence. I plan to develop this article and, yes, provide sources to their song "Alive In You."Qxukhgiels56 (talk) 18:39, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

  • Let me tell you once and for all that I never doubted the band's existence. But every two bit band has a website and pages on Facebook, Twitter and (you missed out) Myspace and Youtube. But none of those provide evidence of notability which is what we need here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 20:22, 22 April 2012 (UTC)
Hello RHaworth, This band is notable for an article on wikipedia because they charted a song "Alive in You" on one chart and they charted their album Alive in You on two charts. So, I think you might want to close the deletion debate after finding out via my sources the facts of the matter. This is some badx editing work, but it is not deletable after I found notability.HotHat (talk) 21:59, 22 April 2012 (UTC)

Requesting (again) that NE LHIN page be undeleted...."notability" was evident through proper citations akin to other LHINs on Wikipedia? Thanks for undeleting the North East LHIN (Local Health Integration Network) page last week, however; someone else with the alias of "Explicit" has now deleted it. Explanation was absence of "notability," which we thought was abundantly clear, thanks to help with Wikipedia conventions for citations. Sorry about creating two General Colton disambiguation pages there I did not give the first one the parenthetical name formatting. Anyway I was unsure how to add to the page, can you please tell me how I go about adding to a new disambiguation page "this may refer to" as I am still learning to contribute to Wikipedia. Thank you! More Spanish

Hi Roger. Thank you for showing me that, but I red that text and I think we can't use it in es:wp. It seems like a sumary or something like that, but without coherence and many ortograph and grammar mistakes. In my opinion, you can delete this. See you. --Millars (talk) 20:27, 26 April 2012 (UTC)

Synergy Resources

The Synergy Resources page was on par with the Epicor page. Both were references for ERP software creators. If the Epicor page continues to exist, then that is an inconsistent application of the guidelines. The "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" link was not available. Making a notification at 1:30AM, then a deletion thereafter gives me no opportunity to respond to the nomination before it is deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dewolfe001 (talkcontribs) 15:44, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

  • No, it was not on a par. The Epicor page is 7k bytes long and well referenced. The Synergy Resources page was 1k byte long, could not even manage to state in the body text what the company does and was totally devoid of independent references. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:45, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Deletion review for As Blood Runs Black

An editor has asked for a deletion review of As Blood Runs Black. Because you closed the deletion discussion for this page, speedily deleted it, or otherwise were interested in the page, you might want to participate in the deletion review.

This band has become more prominent since you deleted the original article. Specifically, they've released a new album and they're touring internationally. The french, german, spanish, italian, portuguese, russian, and polish wikipedia's have this article in place. I believe that given their recent release (3/15/2011) and their touring schedule, this article needs to be reconsidered. — Kevinh456 (talk) 17:01, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Deletion of Social forestry

Hi, I'm new to trying to delete an article|remove a redirect & would appreciate your assistance in walking through the process. Currently, Social forestry redirects to Social forestry in India. The problem is 'social forestry' is an important topic in and of itself. Rather than redirect, a new article needs to be developed. How would you suggest approaching this? Thanks, DA Sonnenfeld (talk) 13:53, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

Thomas Rathnam

I don't know why you people deleted Thomas Rathnam wiki. It has been placed as Thomas Rathnam fans wiki as user page. To make particular , we made it as Thomas Rathnam wiki. Thomas Rathnam is a upcoming Music Composer from India. He already scored music for Tamil , kannada films and English albums. Citation for verification reference also already given. Please kindly re post it as "Thomas Rathnam wiki" There were no pages about him now in the wiki. Request undeletation "Shaheenbag"

Dear, I'm the resident of the place named Shaheenbag. I found a similar page named 'Shaheen Bag'. But I want to confirm you that the name 'Shaheen Bag' spelled incorrectly. The accurate spelling is 'Shaheenbag'. I wanted to edit this name. But I failed. I need you help. — Rakib — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bdrakib (talkcontribs) 12:21, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

Leebotwood

I hope you can help - you recently dealt with "redlink" editor ‎JonathanSherrington when he bizarrely uploaded an image (twice) from the Shropshire Star website to Wikipedia for the Leebotwood article. Well unfortunately he is continuing to write this article in his own fashion, ignoring your edit and my edits, writing not only in an unencyclopaedic way (certainly not meeting Wikipedia guidelines) but also gibberish. I don't know really what's going on. He clearly doesn't know what he's writing about and I have no idea why he's picked out Leebotwood, a place I doubt he's ever been to or really knows where it is! Could you please assist me, as I have very little dealings with admins etc - this user needs to be blocked I think. I'm not even sure he's a human - could well be some (very odd) computer bot or something! Thanks. David (talk) 11:23, 3 May 2012 (UTC)

  • There is a spooky similarity between Jonathan's edits and those of Jess3122 (talk · contribs). However Jess knows how to do an infobox and does not use masses of bold, so I think they are different people. But very likely pupils at the same school - have a quick look for edits to all villages within school run distance of Shrewsbury!
I think you are overreacting a bit. To suggest "unclear about the subject" seems inappropriate when the guy is clearly familiar with the local tradespeople. But both he and Jess do need to be told firmly to build on existing work not replace it - trouble is, schoolteachers find it easier to assess essays than work through diff reports! So I have applied a block. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:14, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
He's clearly just typed in "Leebotwood" into a search engine and slapped onto the article anything found. I think you're right about possibly schoolchildren each taking on a village in the area (though seemingly a very wide area, beyond their personal knowledge/experience). Other local examples (in the Church Stretton area) are: Longnor, Rushbury, and Hope Bowdler. It's quite a headache keeping track - some are good writers... others not so! David (talk) 14:19, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
First year geography at Univ of Portsmouth is a common factor between User:Edwardalanpetersears of Hope Bowdler and User:EdwardSpencer of Longnor, Shropshire. User:Dpaajones crops up on several of them, but might just be a Salopian editor rather than anyone involved in the course as tutor etc. PamD 16:21, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
Confusion caused by signature not matching username - didn't realise "David" was dpaajones! PamD 16:23, 3 May 2012 (UTC)
I find it hard to believe writing a Wikipedia article for a Shropshire village is part of a geography course! Frankly I'm not sure what's going on. Really, it doesn't matter so long as articles are written properly, but the issue with Leebotwood was that it not only wasn't in proper Wikipedia prose and style, but was also woefully inaccurate and/or included irrelevant material, often copied from another Wikipedia article or just bits from the web (such as the description of the Pound pub, taken from its homepage). Anyway, sorry for any confusion caused by signing as "David" - I've done this for years now and I'm not even sure how to change it! (Not that I want to..) David (talk) 17:34, 3 May 2012 (UTC)

Why was the image for "Flexion test" deleted?

Could you please tell me what we are doing wrong in trying to include this image (File:Flexion test performed on the hindlimb of a horse.jpg) obtained via Creative Commons? It has a CC BY-NC-SA 2.0 license, and we provided attribution for it. Why is it a copyright violation?Amnot Areso (talk) 18:04, 3 May 2012 (UTC)

Hello R, a question to your arcticle move moved page Helmut Wagner (Paratrooper) to Helmut Wagner (pilot)[[3]]. The source [4] says he was a Fallschirmjäger (paratrooper), not a pilot. Please note that the German paratroopers in WWII were a part of the Air Force (Luftwaffe), not of the Army. [5] Even if the original author has taged it with Category:German World War II pilots, the source states as his unit FJR6 with stands for Fallschirmjägerregiment 6.--Ben Ben (talk) 15:54, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

Move done, plus added a second reference from Google Books. Sorry for my capitalization, it's still German. --Ben Ben (talk) 20:09, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

Sorry for messing it up. Links fixed and G6 requested.--Ben Ben (talk) 20:52, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

In general, yes, red links are fine when the subject is likely to have a page created. If this hospital still does not have a page, and its only claim to fame is that a movie filmed there once then that tells me it isn't likely to ever have a page created. This isn't like a red link for an actor that will likely be developed as they acquire more roles. As for the list of hospitals page, I'm not sure what that even exists. Wikipedia is not a directory. That looks like something better served as a category than a page.  BIGNOLE  (Contact me) 22:19, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

Star Trek: The Next Generation DVD

I noticed that your name is listed as having a page with the above title deleted as of April 8 (less than a month ago), thus causing numerous articles referring to various seasons of the DVD sets to have red links. Is there any way to have the page resurrected? Or if not, why the deletion in the first place? For now, just curious, not an accusation. — Glenn L (talk) 23:51, 6 May 2012 (UTC)

I now understand. Thanks. — Glenn L (talk) 00:40, 7 May 2012 (UTC)

Hey, RHaworth. Would you mind userfying this article for me? I think the band is notable but I need to do some more research before I decide. The articles posted may be useless and if they are, don't bother with userfying. OlYeller21Talktome 07:23, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
