Hi RHaworth, please help me move Cao Lãnh District, Đồng Tháp to Cao Lãnh District or delete Cao Lãnh District so I can do the move myself. There's only one district in Vietnam named Cao Lãnh, so the provincename Đồng Tháp can be omitted. — Cn5900 (talk) 18:46, 5 October 2019 (UTC)

Thank you very much. If possible, can you also move Hòa Bình City to Hòa Bình (city), and Hồng Ngự Town to Hồng Ngự (town). After considering, I decided that the name with the capital "Town" or "City" is not very appropriate in these cases. — Cn5900 (talk) 04:15, 9 October 2019 (UTC)

Willing to submit code to geohack?
Hello, Roger. I don't know if you've seen the pings at my talk page. The Helmert transform code (helm_gb.php) you shared with me as part of the os/coor_g code would fix some longstanding bugs in geohack. Would you be willing to generate a pull request? Or did that code come from User:Egil? Thanks for your help! —hike395 (talk) 09:22, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
- I have no idea what a pull request is. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 22:39, 6 October 2019 (UTC)
A pull request is poorly named: it's a request by a developer to an owner of an open source software package to submit new code. Geohack has an outstanding bug in UK maps, where a lat/long is assumed to be in the OSGB36 coordinate system when it is converted to OS grid ref.
The Helmert transformation code (helm_gb.php) you shared with me exactly fixes this bug. I'm reluctant to submit the code myself, because that implies that I wrote and understand the code. So I was wondering whether you would consider submitting the code yourself. If you don't want to do that, could you tell me whether you wrote helm_gb.php? If not, do you remember where you got the code? — hike395 (talk) 02:53, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
- I have had a quick look and cannot find any record of whence I got the code. I suggest: be bold - push the code and wait to see if anybody complains. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:15, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
I did some sleuthing: it looks like you got the code from Telford at de.wikipedia in 2009, here. —hike395 (talk) 15:22, 7 October 2019 (UTC)
- That is good news. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:48, 8 October 2019 (UTC)

Reagarding the deletion of Draft:Eylean Board
Hello RHaworth, I'm writing regarding the draft for Eylean Board (I will try to include the wikilink: Eylean Board. In case it does not work, here is the URL: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Draft:Eylean_Board?action=edit&veswitched=1&oldid=0). The page was flagged as promotional (G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion) although I was trying to write it in a style and manner similar to other Wikipedia pages in the project management category (like Asana, Wrike and Trello). Since I am new to Wikipedia, could you please share your thoughts on what could be improved in the article in order for it to qualify as a Wikipedia page? Thank you! Renan Gomes
The page I was editing was deleted because it claimed to have advertising, but it is not advertising. It is a remarkable Portuguese digital model and influencer. He received a recognition award, won a trophy at the 5th edition of E! Red Carpet 2018, in Lisbon, in the digital category, one of the most important awards in the country, held annually by channel E! Entertainment in Portugal. — Brianleewiki (talk) 14:00, 10 October 2019 (UTC)
- If, and only if, you have no CoI, you could resubmit draft:Renan Gomes with better evidence of notability. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 06:35, 13 October 2019 (UTC)
RHaworth Ok, I'll resubmit again. How do I save it for you to review before? Thank you. Brianleewiki (talk) 02:28, 14 October 2019 (UTC)
- Brianleewiki, tautology: you either re-submit or submit again. How do you save it. Not sure what you mean - if it is sufficiently un-spammy, it should survive in draft space for six months. I don't do draft reviewing. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 06:26, 20 October 2019 (UTC)

Two invalid disambiguation pages
Hi RHaworth, how have you been? I hope you are doing great. Currently I just found out two invalid disambiguation pages, those are: Nguyễn Việt Khái and Tân Hưng Tây. Take Tân Hưng Tây as an example, there are two entries in there: Tân Hưng Tây, Cái Nước and Tân Hưng Tây, Phú Tân. These two are, in fact, mention the same subject, that is the commune of Tân Hưng Tây in Phú Tân. This community used to belong to Cái Nước, but Phú Tân District had been separated from Cái Nước in 2003, which is 16 years ago, so Tân Hưng Tây is now in Phú Tân. Meanwhile these two pages are created in 2009, so I have absolutely no idea why he would create both Tân Hưng Tây, Cái Nước and Tân Hưng Tây, Phú Tân (both the past and present existing at the same time). For Tân Hưng Tây, Cái Nước, I have already listed it in RfD. I was wondering if you could move Tân Hưng Tây, Phú Tân to Tân Hưng Tây (since currently no other location in Vietnam has the same name; and moreover, to get rid of that disambiguation page, and if possible, please suspress the redirect). The same applies to Nguyễn Việt Khái, Phú Tân. Thank you very much Cn5900 (talk) 08:14, 12 October 2019 (UTC)

Retrieve deleted draft
Hi, I wanted to ask why you deleted the page I had started to draft up, and wanted to start re-editing it again. The page isn't advertising, it is the bio and background information of an emerging Aboriginal rapper and musician from Australia. There is a whole new cohort of artists making waves and impacting the community locally and also internationally who I'd like to see on Wikipedia, this was the first one I was trying to include. I can see many other artists have pages on here, simply with bio and history info. What was it about the page I started to draft that triggered the deletion? This is my first article and slowly wrapping my head around all the processes. The page was Draft:DOBBY. You deleted it: 01:01, 8 October 2019 RHaworth — Ladyveeau (talk) 22:15, 12 October 2019 (UTC)

Finnic peoples
Hi, asking for a third opinion regarding the renamed Baltic Finns article. The article was originally named Finnic peoples, which the user Kwamikagami renamed without consensus (or even a comment) on the talk page. I believe that rename was incorrect, because
- Finnic peoples are a synonym for Baltic Finns
- Finnic peoples is used more in academic literature than Baltic Finns
- User Kwamikagami has provided no sources to back up their claim
- The user has created a new page Finnic peoples, listing Volga Finns, Permic peoples and Saami peoples, when none of the three are Finnic peoples. "Volga Finns", despite the name, are not considered Finnic peoples, because they do not speak a Finnic language.
I have had a lengthy discussion with the user on their Talk page here and also on the talk page of the Baltic Finns article. They have refused to provide sources, while I have indeed read the sources and have not found any proof for their claims. I'm asking for a third opinion and a possible revert to the status quo, because I cannot revert the article on my own. Thank you. Blomsterhagens (talk) 22:39, 13 October 2019 (UTC)

Good morning Could you please restore draft:South Atlantic Environmental Research Institute (SAERI)? Unfortunately, as you deleted the page so quickly, I do not have the wikilink. SAERI is an academic institution and as such, should have a wikipedia entry. You will notice that the Falkland Islands lags behind in wikipedia entries (for anything except 1982 conflict) and this is something that a group of us are trying to rectify. If you have issues with the content, could you please allow us time to update and edit before deleting? Many thanks Alenasaeri (talk) 11:03, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
- I think the person who tagged it for deletion took the same view as me: they saw those horrible shouted section headings and thought "here is someone who cannot be bothered to spend even a bit of time learning Wikipedia standards - they just want to advertise their organisation". It would be better if you were to wait until someone with no CoI thinks your institute is notable but you could try again with proper formatting and evidence of notability. Possible Restoration of this Article
Hello There RHaworth, I was checking out some list of Musicians in Bollywood and saw that this singer called Vivek Verma who is creation protected and blocked due to AFd resulted as 'Delete' also seems to be Salted a couple of times, whatever may be the scenarios but this dude seems be passing wp:musicbio as he Won a couple of Awards which also includes Web Ratna Award by Government Of India in the year 2009. And he also seem to be passing wp:gng as he is covered by a couple of notable news portals. He also seem to have worked in notable Bollywood movies like Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, Teraa Surroor and many others So I feel like this person can be restored, also I intend to work on it. Thanks, Bollymine (talk) 16:34, 24 October 2019 (UTC)
- Re-submit at draft:Vivek Verma (musician) and hope that the reviewer does not notice the sorry history at draft:Vivek Verma, etc. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:34, 25 October 2019 (UTC)
Thank you RHaworth for the suggestion, I just wanted to know that weather i shall disclose in the summary about the name being salted and deleted a couple of times or I shall just publish it after creating it for the review!? — Bollymine (talk) 03:31, 27 October 2019 (UTC)
- Bollymine, surely my message made it clear: the deletion and salting histories of Vivek Verma and draft:Vivek Verma suggest persistent attempts to advertise a non-notable person and would inevitably colour the views of anyone reviewing a new version. The hope is that someone reviewing draft:Vivek Verma (musician) might not see the other titles and might thus come to it with an open mind. What do you mean by "publish"? I say: create draft:Vivek Verma (musician) and submit it for review. If it gets accepted, I or some other admin will move it into mainspace. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:55, 28 October 2019 (UTC)
Please reconsider Draft:Wee dance company
Dear editor, You have recently deleted Draft:Wee dance company for being an "Unambiguous advertising or promotion". I'm kindly asking you to reconsider your decision. "Wee dance company" is a small dance group operating within the municipal theater in Gorlitz, a small and remote German town on the German-Polish border. This is a non-profit organization where the dancers and choreographers earn minimum wages and the theater is supported by the limited town's budget. They don't sell anything apart from tickets to their shows that are accessible to locals only. You can be sure that not even one local German/Polish speaking person will buy a ticket to the show because they have an entry in English Wikipedia.
On the other hand I think that, after being active for 20 years, they proved that they have a unique 'voice' in the dance world that might interest or even inspire people around the world and this is why they deserve a place in Wikipedia like many other dance companies list of dance companies.
All the positive praises in the article are quotes of reviews they received from the free media (in German).
Please help me publish this article. If there are things I can change to improve it please let me know and reinstate it so I can work on it.

- Hi RHaworth, thank you for the ping and נעמהפ, Greetings. The article at the present stand read somewhat promotional, you might want to remove some of sections such as "Artistic directors", "Full evenings" and "Short pieces". Do find sources from newspaper that talk about the subject or review of the performances. We need at least 3 sources. Official website, fb, user generates sites, press releases, marketing pieces, interview and etc can NOT be used to contribute to the notability requirements needed. We need independent, reliable sources such as from newspapers. Also do read WP:Your First Article on how to write an article in Wikipedia and referencing on how to provide source (inline citation). I will not do the review for I had request CSD and will let other patrollers to review the article. Btw, click on all the "blue highlighted text" for more information. Cheers. Hostingraja deletion
hi RHaworth the page I created was deleted without giving me option to contest it, saying it was promotional. whereas fact is HostGator, iPage, Directi, BlueHost all are in same field talk about same thing, do the same thing, so request you please reverse it as there is ample scope of improvement in this article. — Joydeep ghosh (talk) 13:51, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
- tbh, iPage also looks borderline, that can also be nominated. I believe I nominated the hostingraja article for being both non-notable and promotional. A company with an annual revenue of $2.4 million with no non-paid-promotion articles cannot be considered notable. — Daiyusha (talk) 14:48, 26 October 2019 (UTC)
hi RHaworth and Daiyusha (talk) please take a look at these links [1] [2], that clearly say the company has revenue of 19.1 million and is a ISO 9001-2015 certified company. Do you still think this not enough for notability. I am saying again this is not promotion or advertising, this page is being created as it deserves to be in wikipedia, with above 2 links enough to say this is notable. hi RHaworth request you to please restore this article. — Joydeep ghosh (talk) 18:49, 26 October 2019 (UTC)

I Moved Shiv Ram Singh Inter college to Residential Shiv Ram Inter college but any user visit the page and tag to speedy Deletion of ShiV Ram Singh Inter college, Sir A manager says that the residential Shivram Singh Inter College page is not popular. But it comes in the famous school of Uttar Pradesh, Please answer my questions. (Thanks for the talking) Vivek ji123 (talk) 04:45, 28 October 2019 (UTC)
- You say "please answer my questions". But I cannot see any questions to answer so I will ask you one which I would like you to answer. It was you who created the redirect from Shiv Ram Singh Inter College to Residential Shiv Ram Singh Inter College. So why did you blank it with this edit? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:55, 28 October 2019 (UTC)

Can you tell me why you deleted my user page at user:Thudster? I received a notice today that it was marked for speedy deletion for "misuse of web host", but I have no idea what that means or what I did. — 67.4.49.102 (talk) 12:17, 27 October 2019 (UTC)

Can you tell me why you deleted my Draft:Baazas? Where in the draft can you find an advertisement or promotion? — DodyPapi (talk) 00:41, 28 October 2019 (UTC)

What is the reason for deletion of the very page, even though it has adequate references and citations? Besides, it is not a copy of other works. — Goutamkumar Oinam (talk) 05:59, 29 October 2019 (UTC)
This page has been deleted, with no reason. However, it contains adequate references and citations. Besides, it is a page with no copies from other works. It should not meet deletion criteria. — Goutamkumar Oinam (talk) 06:07, 29 October 2019 (UTC)
The page Tourist attractions in Manipur is deleted, but it contains adequate references and citations. And I was supposed to add more references and citations, can it be restored, please? — Goutamkumar Oinam (talk) 08:47, 29 October 2019 (UTC)
- Draft:Traditional Culture of Manipur has never existed. Culture of Manipur has never been deleted and you have never done any edits to it. We do not need a separate article on tourist attractions in Manipur - this information can be added to the Manipur article. I can let you have your text: read this. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:30, 29 October 2019 (UTC)

Marcus Frohnmaier
Could you please explain to me, what is the problem with the Lemma? Thanks -- Outdoor-Bro (talk) 09:48, 29 October 2019 (UTC)
- Which lemma are you referring to that might have a problem. As to the Marcus Frohnmaier article, I happened to notice that it had been moved to draft space and that you had moved it back. I agreed with the first mover that it is probably not ready. When you think it is ready, click on the submit button and wait for a draft reviewer to give their opinion. Pointless coincidence: I was in Craiova recently - see photos. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:30, 29 October 2019 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Zivame
Hi RHaworth, Can you please address what went incorrect with the article submission? AFC requires time to check & I was trying to make this Article as per the Neutral point of view. I am working on this page with the latest news. Kindly help so that I can fix it if things went side ways. — Spatil666 (talk) 11:06, 29 October 2019 (UTC)
- Learn to provide a proper link whenever you talk about a page. My simplistic test says that possibly you do not have a CoI so I have restored Draft:Zivame. I ask Zanhe to let you continue to work on the article. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:30, 29 October 2019 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Art and Culture of Manipur, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Bug in tool?
Hey RHaworth. I see you maintain this tool. Would you know why the link on "TQ368976" in this article (within the infobox) works, but the link through P613 on Brimsdown Power Station (Q4968150) doesn't? Rehman 13:52, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
- Because each page is generating the link independently from the grid reference. The fix should be a simple matter of going to the Property P613 definition and changing the formatter URL item. But see Template:Ordnance Survey coordinates where the substantive action is
#invoke:Ordnance Survey coordinates
and I don't know how to translate that into a URL. I shall try and attend to the matter soon. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 14:24, 30 October 2019 (UTC)- Thank you, Roger. Cheers, Rehman 14:37, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
Hi, why did you Speedy delete the image file File:PrototypeJ.jpg ? The image is posted by the Government of Canada and is available for public use. You can see many of the same DND images being used on Wikipedia here: [3]. https://www.canada.ca/en/transparency/terms.html "Non-commercial reproduction". I look forward to receiving a response from you. — TFSA (talk) 15:00, 30 October 2019 (UTC)
- There is no need to copy from another page: I am capable of following a link. Apparently you did not read from the bit you copied on to the "commercial reproduction" section. Do you really think that that is compatible with the {{cc-by-sa-3.0}} licence that is required here, ie. without the NC clause. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:19, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

Request to Add a Profile Photo
Hi! This is Ramisa from Bangladesh. Hope you're well! Actually I'm here, knocking you because I wanted to edit a wiki page that has been restricted by you. I want to add a profile photo to the page: Walton Hi-Tech Industries Limited. I'm working in this company as a process engineer and whenever I check my work info out on Facebook, I find my working place (that is generated from Wikipedia) without its logo and that does not look good! :3 Can you kindly please, update it? I have uploaded it in Wikimedia Commons. Here it is: ( https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Walton_logo.png ). Love, Ramisa Nawar Promee — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ramisa Nawar Promee (talk • contribs) 03:57, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
- You did not do your research! The logo is already available here: File:Walton logo.png. But before we add any image to an article about Walton Hi-Tech Industries we need an article! It is a sad fact that while a company manufacturing three million fridges will probably be considered notable because people see the company's name, a company manufacturing three million fridge compressors will be not considered notable because people never see its name. Your company probably would qualify for an article so, even though you have a CoI, feel free to create an article via AfC. Text of a previous emailed to you. A new version must include independent evidence of notability and be made with suitable CoI and paid editing declarations. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:19, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
Dr. Hossam Abol Atta (Plastic Surgeon)

Bodhi Tree Educational Foundation
Hello RHaworth. This article Draft:The Bodhi Tree Educational Foundation, still in Draft version, was deleted because of adding one external article text, wrote by one colleague of our NGO team (so she is fully agree). After receiving this message, I removed this part of the article in order to not have problems, and I contacted Thuresson by "Contest this speedy deletion", who tagged the article, but with no response. And anyway the whole article was deleted. I ask you please to reactivate the article with the job done, because it is important to us and please you have to take into account that is was still in Draft version. Thank you Luis7Arroyo (talk • contribs) 13:16, 31 October 2019 (UTC)
- It would be much better if you were to wait until someone who has no CoI thinks your organisation is notable and writes about it here. But you could try again with a non-copyvio version. Text emailed. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:12, 1 November 2019 (UTC)
The Gloucestershire Wassail
I see you deleted the draft article The Gloucestershire Wassail. Why? Did you read my explanation in the talk page? Wikipedia's copyright bot thought that the lyrics I posted were a copyright infringement on the Mannheim Steamroller version of the song (Titled, "Wassail, Wassail") from 1984. But that song was an instrumental, and the lyrics were not written by them anyway. The lyrics were traditional, from the 19th century. — YouarelovedSOmuch (talk) 09:09, 1 November 2019 (UTC)

This page is being deleted by you, Sir. It contains adequate references and citations as well. Besides, it is on the process of development and I was supposed to add more information, please can you restore it? — Goutamkumar Oinam (talk) 16:18, 1 November 2019 (UTC)
- Learn to provide a link whenever you talk about a page thus: Hiyangthang Lairembi Temple. And what on earth are the curious invisible characters in the title as written by you? A one sentence stub stands no chance in mainspace. Draftified. Above all learn to provide proper references with piped URLs by using {{cite web}}. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 17:24, 2 November 2019 (UTC)

Article content templates by Ephert
Hey, you recently deleted the following templates per Wikipedia:Templates for discussion/Log/2019 October 16#Article content templates by Ephert. The problem is that these all required individual reviews for copyright status and depending on the outcome should either be merged with the parent article and then be deleted or be deleted as a copyright infringement. It seems to me as if youu haven't performed the complet review judging from the speed of deletion and that they still have transclusions I believe you didn't do a complete review. Could you either complete the process or restore them so I can do it? Thanks! ‑‑Trialpears (talk) 12:02, 2 November 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of Deleyaman
Dear Roger, I would like to kindly request the undeletion of this Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Deleyaman page that has been deleted because of not meeting WP:MUSICBIO or WP:GNG. But I deeply believe that the page and the content meets the Wikipedian criteria proposed to notable artists or bands. This article has been deleted 5 years ago when it was not meeting the abovementioned criteria. However, I have edited and rewritten the article a few months ago by strictly following the requested policies. The reason that it has been placed for speedy deletion just because it has been deleted once 5 years ago, I think, without looking into the new content, that seems to me unreasonable. Hoping for your sincere considering. HovhannesKarapetyan (talk) 06:10, 3 November 2019 (UTC)
