Sinovoip
I am looking into the possibility that User:Sinovoip has a COI regarding [ http://www.sinovoip.com.cn/eindex.asp ]. I noticed that you deleted their userpage under U5. Was the nature of the deleted page such that it supports a conclusion of a COI, or was it unrelated to the sinovoip.com.cn website and the products they sell?

Shanaya makani
Okay so I found a page in the new page feed of Shanaya makani who I was unsure of notability, so the first thing I was going to do though was to see if there was a page for Shanaya Makani and move it there since that be uppercase, looks like it has been salted, so I was wondering if this is the same person and if this page should be salted also. Thanks. (Looks like there is also a Draft:Shanaya Makani.) I was originally going to do a AFD until I saw it was page protected so I figure i ask you since you salted it. — Wgolf (talk) 20:46, 25 April 2019 (UTC)

Christian Francis Roth - Deleted Page
Hi, You deleted my draft, which was waiting for approval. The reason was "unambiguous copyright infringement" but the content you claim was infringed upon came from my own website, so I am only copying from myself. I am Christian Francis Roth. Can you please restore the draft, and perhaps even approve it for publishing? I have been waiting several months for approval. My references are from well known publications and the subject matter is valid and noteworthy according to your editors who have helped me work through the writing style so that the subject could be approved more quickly. Thank you, Christian Francis Roth — Preceding unsigned comment added by Grindylow212 (talk • contribs) 21:34, 29 April 2019 (UTC)
- One obvious change is to place a {{cc-by-sa-3.0}} or compatible declaration on the copyvio source. Even though TheForeignOne is allowed to say "kindly" (see below), I am no longer allowed to use the word. So I will just say: when you become notable enough that other people write about you in third-party independent reliable sources, then someone with no CoI will be interested enough to come here and write your biography. I am willing to email your text - read this. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:12, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

Thanks for speedy deleting Template:Ellipsis. I didn't realize that I'd used the wrong speedy deletion criteria when I tagged it, but I appreciate you handling it appropriately. — eπi (talk | contribs) 18:33, 30 April 2019 (UTC)

- "I feel that I am being stalked by people eager to criticise my every action" I'm sorry you feel like that, but it's not true. If I can offer some advice (which I appreciate given the current climate may not be appreciated, but still) .... stop using the admin tools for a bit. Don't delete anything, block anyone, or use any tags. WP:AIV and CAT:CSD are not going to suddenly get insanely backlogged if you have a break. East Croydon station is assessed as B-class, but I find that questionable as much of the content is unreferenced and the article could do with a good copyedit. Why not have a go at that? You can get most of the source material you need from Ian Allan's bookshop near Waterloo, and the British Transport Museum shop probably has some suitable books, as no doubt has your local library. Or, if you're really stuck, Redrose64 has a ridiculously large corpus of The Railway Magazine archives to work with. Or, even easier, Balham (memorably described by Peter Sellers as "Bal-ham, gateway to the south!") needs a proper lead. Give article writing another go, and you'll suddenly discover how much nicer this place can be. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:20, 1 May 2019 (UTC)

Help re. contents on deleted page
Hi Roger, I hope you are well. I was wondering if you could help me. A while back I tagged University of Calgary as being edited by a potentially connected user. I used a diff on a now deleted talk page as support for this. The user has engaged me in a conversation about the possible COI and I would like to review my rationale from back then. Would it be possible to access this diff. Cheers! pseudonym Jake Brockman talk 07:00, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
- For reasons which I can just about understand, when I view deleted pages the revision id of each edit is hidden from me - instead the link is via a time stamp. So I have emailed you the entire discussion. If you really want to see the exact diff report, give me the timestamps. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:44, 2 May 2019 (UTC)

Deleted Page: UTP Merchant Services
Ref: link Hi RHaworth, I am new to this, but understand you deleted the page UTP Merchant Services on the lines that it breached copyright infringements (you supplied links to the articles in question and to let you know that I wrote those articles). I did use a couple of phrases from them (I must confess) as I felt it is a good explaination, but I can confirm that I wrote those articles you referenced and should you need any proof, happy to supply. Everything else in that page complies with the Wiki rules.
Can you please reconsider your decision for deletion or help me with suggestions for this to work. I look forward to hearing from you. Regards -- Paulutp1 (talk) 11:02, 2 May 2019 (UTC)Paulutp1

Global Hotelier deletion
Dear Mr. Haworth, You recently deleted my first attempt at a Wikipedia article, entitled Global Hotelier. As a freelance writer, I felt it would be beneficial for me to get some hands on experience contributing for this free global resource. I chose a company who are brand new to the scene, yet in my opinion will be huge in years to come. That was my motivation, to be the first to write an article on an unknown that will later gain renown. Your reasons for removing my content was that it was promotional / advertising. I hoped that I had been completely objective, sticking to technical data and facts that I took from the companies web site as well as reputable sources such as Bitcoin Magazine and Forbes Magazine.
If you can spare the time please let me know which sections you feel were not acceptable so that I may correct them. I would very much like my first addition to Wikipedia to be successfully published, and feel a little disheartened by the removal of the entire article without knowing where I went wrong. Any help that you can afford me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Warmest Regards, Christopher Roper. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ChristopherRoper (talk • contribs)
P.S I do not understand why 'Merchant Services' link is appearing at the foot of this post. My post is https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Draft:Global_Hotelier&action=edit&redlink=1 . I will place the content back onto this draft so that you may recap which elements required change. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ChristopherRoper (talk • contribs)
- When you write about a page it is far more useful to bracket its title with [[]] rather than "" . When your company becomes notable enough that other people write about it in third-party independent reliable sources, then someone with no CoI will be interested enough to come here and write about it. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:44, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
- User:ChristopherRoper - I see that you haven't answered the question about whether you have a conflict of interest. That is an answer, just not an answer that complies with Wikipedia rules. I also see that you are asking in detail what portions of your draft need correction. The way that you are wording that question, very eager to make specified tweaks to a draft, is characteristic of editors who are being paid on contingency, that is, who need to get the article accepted in order to be paid. My advice to you is that there are other easier ways to make a living, even within the sphere of freelance writing. Robert McClenon (talk) 01:52, 4 May 2019 (UTC)
B. J. Snowden
Why does BJ Snowden (which you deleted and protected) not redirect to B. J. Snowden? — JudahH (talk) 14:05, 2 May 2019 (UTC)
- It was a "dirty po" in my opinion. A Google search for "BJ Snowden" (with quotes round it) returns the article as its first hit. Ditto, a wiki search. So I say we do not need a redirect. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 18:44, 2 May 2019 (UTC)

Hi, RHaworth! Had I missed something at Draft:2004 Alor earthquake when I removed the G12 tag that Sphilbrick had put on it, leaving the edit summary "decline G12, this content was copied from revision 869611460 of Alor Island; this edit summary provides attribution"? Template:Vexill used by Infobox castrum
Hi, you deleted Template:Vexill affecting the display of Template:Infobox castrum (eg. Castra of Hoghiz). Please fix all the instances where Template:Vexill is used. -- Regards, Saturnian (talk) 19:07, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
- So how come it took a fortnight for anyone to notice the deletion? Restored and the applier of the speedy tag has been admonished. Appropriate example Hoghiz - I shall be going to Romania in October and will add it to my suggested itinerary. In fact it is stand-alone template which can be used anywhere not just in template:Infobox castrum. Also, it probably ought to have a "this template must be substed" setting to remove a totally unnecessary template resolution when viewing a page. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:04, 3 May 2019 (UTC)
Well, it was by accident. I added a new picture noticing that wrong text in infobox. I was surprised that someone decided deleting that template after it was fine in the last six years. Thank you for the fix. I'm glad that you will visit my country. Here we have more than 170 Roman forts but only few of them have touristic potential. It is a nice landscape at Hoghiz but the fort itself is not obvious. -- Saturnian (talk) 20:58, 4 May 2019 (UTC)

Deletion of Pokémon Detective Pikachu
I'm confused as to why you deleted this redirect. You deleted it as a "temporary category", but it's not a category. Was it a mistake, or am I missing something? SkyWarrior 20:55, 4 May 2019 (UTC)
- Uhhh, I don't know why you moved the article title to the (then-)deleted redirect, since it's currently under discussion (I've reverted it back due to that) and I didn't request for you to do that (I was just wondering why you deleted the redirect in the first place). SkyWarrior 22:07, 4 May 2019 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) To editor SkyWarrior: An editor previously closed the RM out of process with this edit, and then placed a speedy deletion box on this redirect so the article could be moved to this title. That's why the redirect was deleted and the page was moved. Somewhere in between I reverted the close. Paine Ellsworth, ed. put'r there 03:11, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
- That makes sense, though the logs suggest that this didn't happen somewhere between the closure revert. Instead, all this happened after your revert (you reverted the close at 16:08 (UTC); the first deletion happened at 20:36, the restoration (?) at 21:43, and the second deletion/move at 21:46). All this also happened while the RM notice was still on the article (it was never removed when the discussion was closed) and the discussion ongoing; it also doesn't explain the initial deletion reason as a "temporary category" (which I'm assuming was an honest mistake). SkyWarrior 07:54, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
- Actually, I said exactly that: "somewhere in between I reverted the close", which means I reverted the close between the time the speedy deletion template was placed on the redirect and the time RHaworth deleted the redirect and moved the page. The "temporary category" language is probably just a reminder that the deletion is temporary and awaiting the page move. I only caught all this because the RM closure was out-of-process and resulted in a "malformed request", which I monitor. RHaworth was monitoring the speedy deletion log and just acted upon an entry in that log. Paine Ellsworth, ed. put'r there 08:25, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
- I'm sorry, but unless things were removed from the logs that I'm not seeing, your claim of "I reverted the close between the time the speedy deletion template was placed on the redirect and the time RHaworth deleted the redirect and moved the page" is just straight up false, since RHaworth deleted the page four hours after you reverted the close (and moving it one hour after that, or about 40 minutes after I initially left the message on his talk), not between it. That also doesn't explain the restoration RHaworth did before deleting it again and moving.
- As for the "temporary category" thing, RHaworth appears to have been actually deleting temporary categories and the redirect probably got caught into the mix accidentally. A mistake, it seems. SkyWarrior 18:17, 5 May 2019 (UTC)

- Deletion as "temporary category" was a mistake. I am very sorry. Are there any further actions which you would like me to take? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:27, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
- Thanks for the response, and further action is not needed, though I am curious as to why you restored the page only to delete/move it 3 minutes later. SkyWarrior 21:35, 5 May 2019 (UTC)
- Restoration was a knee jerk reaction to my terrible mistake. On further investigation, the talk page discussion seemed to be strongly in favour of a move. So I did it. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:13, 6 May 2019 (UTC)
- That makes sense, thank you (though you probably should have closed the discussion when moving the page, that would've made it easier for all of us). SkyWarrior 02:15, 7 May 2019 (UTC)
Administrator account security
Correction to Arbcom 2019 special circular. ArbCom would like to apologise and correct our previous mass message in light of the response from the community.
Since November 2018, six administrator accounts have been compromised and temporarily desysopped. In an effort to help improve account security, our intention was to remind administrators of existing policies on account security — that they are required to "have strong passwords and follow appropriate personal security practices." We have updated our procedures to ensure that we enforce these policies more strictly in the future. The policies themselves have not changed. In particular, two-factor authentication remains an optional means of adding extra security to your account. The choice not to enable 2FA will not be considered when deciding to restore sysop privileges to administrator accounts that were compromised.
We are sorry for the wording of our previous message, which did not accurately convey this, and deeply regret the tone in which it was delivered. For the Arbitration Committee, -Cameron11598 21:04, 4 May 2019 (UTC)

Roger, Further to our last exchange here, I have set up an account as requested. You can email me if you wish. With reference to my comments posted on this talk page on 30 March 2019, please restore the draft article you deleted. I will make changes to allay your concerns regarding copyright. There had been a number of supportive comments to the draft made by other editors, these together with the timeline of edits may be relevant to future reviewers, so it would be desirable to have the full deleted page restored, rather than simply emailing me a copy of the deleted text. With thanks, Arpad Mihalyi (talk) 15:27, 5 May 2019 (UTC)

@RHaworth if possible can you move this article on main space ..?? — Padavalam Kuttan Pilla Talk 06:09, 10 May 2019 (UTC)
- There is no need to ping me when you write on this page. I do not do draft reviewing. If a regular reviewer accepts it, come back to me and I will remove the protection on the mainspace title. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:24, 10 May 2019 (UTC)
Stuart Patton Article
Hi RHaworth,
You deleted an article I was working on for my aunt, about her father, Stuart Patton. My aunt supplied me with an obituary. Thank you for deleting this page. I was able to go back to my aunt and explain that the obituary, even if used with permission (which I failed to include) was a copy right infringement, and also didn't do the job of explaining why Stuart Patton was noteworthy.
I'm going to try again and submit a different draft of a Stuart Patton article with better citations and better information on why this particular scientist is noteworthy. I'm new to Wikipedia, but it said I should let you know that I was going to try for round two.
Thanks for your help. Sincerely, Amy — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amy.hworth (talk • contribs)

My page deleted
Hello, Draft:Aivo_-_Customer_Service_solutions_with_Artificial_Intelligence, a page I edited about Aivo, an artificial intelligence company, was deleted. My goal is to create pages about latin american tech companies and organizations with international recognition to give them more visibility online. I am new to Wikipedia so I'm not entirely sure why the page was deleted. I read the guidelines and I can understand why the content might seem promotional. But I've used many wikipedia pages about other companies as an example to write my article (for instance, Zendesk, that apparently has issues but it is not deleted) and I didn't see a lot of differences in the content. Any tips on how to add content about companies or organizations without violating Wikipedia guidelines and sounding promotional? Thanks!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lrainero (talk • contribs)
- It may seem unimportant but the first thing a reviewer saw in your article was <h1> headings. This screams: "created by spammer who cannot be bothered to learn Wikipedia standards". The lack of independent references did not help either. But the fact is that the company probably does not meet our notability standards. Only write about indisputably notable companies. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:01, 9 May 2019 (UTC)
Poop Chimp
deletion of the poop chimp as a symbol of peace and fertility. in the following extract, i´d like to clarify the statements i had previously made on the topic of the poop chimp. I have actually seen the poop chimp. It is very real and very stinky, and i can proove it, for it has attacked me and my broskis on several occasions. i both have photo evidence of the encounters and poopy scratchmarks to prove my claims and i am fully willing to fight for my right to freely express these infos i have aquired through my independent research. i have a degree in advanced theology and i am fully capable of sending you straight down to the depths of heck. frankly i am ENRAGED that my democratic ability to freely express myself is being hindered in such a fashion and i´d like to speak to the manager you cannot stop the poop train from rolling. with the kindest regards, fucj — Preceding unsigned comment added by MMOOOMiEATme (talk • contribs)

La Luna Roja - Deleted Entry
Hi, you deleted my draft La Luna Roja which I submitted for review. The reason I put the article in draft form was because I needed assistance in making sure the article was correctly created. Considering how much I work I put into on the wikipedia entry (several months), would you allow me to fix the issues in the article? The reason for the undeletion was copyright infringement. If my memory serves me correctly (I'm not sure since I can't view the article since it has now been deleted) I quoted from several articles (with the language from the article in quotation marks). I was careful to cite all my sources. — Ellenath (talk) 05:48, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
Hi again. I've just spent a large amount of time on the wikipedia desk chat trying to figure out the issues with my entry. Might I have my entry in text and perhaps a few tips (did I quote too much? Were my quotes overlong?) so I can re-write the entry correctly? I apologize for what must seem to be you to be very basic mistakes but this is my first major entry and it took several months to write and I am trying my best to conform with Wikipedia's standards. I would appreciate the last text so I can attempt to re-write the entry again. — Ellenath (talk) 05:48, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
- The idea of a link is to help me get to the page under discussion. Posting a link to a never-existed page is pointless. Your article could and should be cut down to about a quarter of its current length. The "reception and reviews" section which is, I suspect, the only copyvio bit can be slashed down to a few external links. I have emailed your text but please wait until someone with no CoI comes here and writes about your ballet. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:41, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
Thank you, I'll trim it down. It's not my ballet, I've read on COI link and it appears I have no COI relationship with the creators, in fact I'm from a different country but very interested in flamenco. I saw the show while I was holiday though and being a big fan of the art form I was very impressed, which is why I thought I'd try writing the ballet as an entry. I strongly believe other countries' art forms should gain recognition for pushing the boundaries of their art form (instead of just Broadway plays for instance). I have tried to be as unbiased as possible, quoting from many newspaper articles on the ballet instead of giving my own personal opinion (which may be the reason I received the copyright violation notice). Thank you again for your help and I hope I do better in round 2. Ellenath (talk) 19:25, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
Deleted Draft:Marek Szczęsny
Hi RHaworth, Thank you for taking the time to review the draft page I created on Marek Szczęsny (Polish artist). I had previous feedback on this page by Robert McClenon back in March at user talk:Caroline Borowy, to shorten some of the lists of exhibitions and fix referencing errors which I thought I had done - I spoke to one of your wikipedia colleagues on the slack 'helpdesk' forum to double check this before resubmission to avoid it being deleted, who said, based on the corrections I had done, it looked ready for resubmission. This was my first wikipedia page and I worked really hard on it. I would really like to be able to understand better why the page was deleted. I can see the deletion log comment as to why which gives me some indication, but I used the PDF on the l'etrangere website as a citation so I don't understand why this is an unambiguous copyright infringement? I trust your judgement but just want to understand why, so I can refine the page and resubmit without it being deleted. Draft:Marek Szczęsny
Hope to hear from you soon Thanks in advance for your guidance! Kind regards, Caroline Caroline Borowy (talk) 12:40, 11 May 2019 (UTC)
- Please note this edit. When you wrote Marek's bio you used wikilinks. Why could you not use them here? Please reply. It is possible that the copyvio was just the lists, so the answer is simple: omit them entirely from your article and point to the lists on the page whence you copied them. I have emailed your text but please wait until someone with no CoI comes here and writes about the guy. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 21:59, 12 May 2019 (UTC)
@RHaworth thank you for your quick and detailed response, I understand a lot better now, appreciate the help. Thank you for emailing the text - received. Will wait for someone without COI. Kind regards

Hi RHaworth. Thanks for deleting the draft. For some bizarre reason, wp's not letting me move Emily Skinner to Emily Skinner (actress, born 1970). It's like there is an article there blocking the move. I can create a new article, but that's not the point, the article needs to be moved, so that we can create a dab to differentiate from the other actress of the same name. Thanks. American Stream Solar Page deleted.
Hello Sir, I am writing to know the reasons for the deletion of my page. May I know the reasons. The writings are similar to Solar City and Sempris solaria. They should be deleted too then. We are all in the same category. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Dan49er (talk • contribs)

Hey Bob , I was wondering what breed Charlie is. Irish terrier comes to mind. Kindly ping while replying. — usernamekiran(talk) 10:05, 15 May 2019 (UTC)

I also have a theory that Bbb23 is a typo which was intended to be Bob23.I am obiously interested in your answer/Charlie. But watchlisting a busy talkpage isnt affordable for me. And unfortunately my activity has decreased, so I sort of needed the ping. Anyways, thanks for the reply Bob. See you around with other Bobs like BU Rob —usernamekiran(talk) 18:19, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
draft:Kunal Jaisingh
Kunal Jaisingh the page you protected is notable and passes criteria to have biographical article. Hello @RHaworth: I asked about unprotecting Kunal Jaisingh at Wikipedia:Teahouse after checking deletion I see that you're the one has protected page from being created indefinitely, can you unprotect it so that someone can create the page, because Subject is almost famous as any Bollywood actor in India, He has done big shows in Indian Television, and also Passes WP:NACTOR. — WikiLover97 (talk) 14:30, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
- There is nothing whatsoever notable about the page! And I am very dubious about the notability of the person who is the subject of the page. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 16:02, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
Hello RHaworth ! One year ago you deleted my article about Hugo Freund due to the lack of links. Now I have found more links in czech, german and english languages. In any case, this article is translated from the Czech language cs:Hugo Freund. Can I add it again? Article about his company (cs:Hugo Freund & Co) in Czech language. Thank you in advance. - For goodness sake, learn to use the tools MediaWiki gives you: wikilinks and deletion logs in this case. You created the article a year ago but I deleted it only four months ago and where does the deletion log entry say anything about "lack of links"? Deleted Page: CYST Company Limited
Ref: link Hello RHaworth. A tag was placed on Draft:CYST COMPANY LIMITED, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The page was tagged for unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. The draft was written with as much factual information as possible. I hoped I was as objective as possible, as the information was taken from the company's site and articles they are featured in.
Can please reconsider this decision for deletion or help me with suggestions for this to work. Please point out, if you can, the sections of the draft that were seen as advertising the company and were subjective? I look forward to hearing from you. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

SALTING of Kunal Jaisingh
Hello RHaworth,
I was reviewing article today at AFC and while trying to review this draft i realized it has been salted. I am reaching out because you are the deleting administrator and also to know if you can unsalt it so i can move the draft to mainspace as i believe it satisfies WP:NACTOR if its not too much trouble. You can also have a look at the draft to make sure its okay before moving forward. Best regards Lapablo (talk) 21:40, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
