Clarification

Sir, just for my information and guidance, can you please specify the exact reason for which the images were deleted? I believe it was due to G5 and not F3. Thanks.—TripWire talk 09:24, 7 July 2015 (UTC)

Admin, you also clarify whether images File:The fourth round, Indo-Pak war, 1984.jpg and File:The Trekker's Guide to the Himalaya and Karakoram 01.jpg. that you deleted was already having G5 tag or not? Because Topic banned user TripWire doing personal attack on me regarding this issue. He thinks that I didn't tagged it with G5 as on his talk page notice of speedy deletion there is mention of only F3. --Human3015 knock knock • 11:19, 7 July 2015 (UTC)
Plz don't get me wrong, I'm asking you this question just because of my this discussion with uploader and banned user TripWire User talk:TripWire#Uploading Images due to Ignorance. You just have to clarify that does I have tagged image with G5 or not? Uploader blaming me for tagging image under wrong category because he got notification of only F3 and not about G5. If you remember you just have to clarify that does image was having tag of G5 or not? Thank you. --Human3015 knock knock • 23:25, 7 July 2015 (UTC)
Thanks Admin for clarification, hope @TripWire: don't have any doubt now. Admin, we will not disturb you further on this issue. Thanks again.--Human3015 knock knock • 13:20, 8 July 2015 (UTC)

Thornbury railway station, Gloucestershire

Hi, Useddenim (talk · contribs) tagged and you deleted Thornbury railway station, Gloucestershire as G6 with the rationale "it is an unused redirect – no pages link to Thornbury railway station, Gloucestershire" - however this does not fall within one of the G6 criteria (such as blocking a page move). At WP:RFD we find "redirects should not be deleted simply because they do not have any incoming links. Please do not list this as the only reason to delete a redirect" and this is expanded upon at WP:RFD#HARMFUL. So if this redir would not have been deleted at RFD, I don't see how it qualifies for G6. -- Redrose64 (talk) 14:57, 7 July 2015 (UTC)

Thanks; but R3 doesn't apply to redirs created as a result of page move. -- Redrose64 (talk) 23:24, 7 July 2015 (UTC)

deletion user page

Dear RHaorth. you deleted my user page Henriduvent. because it would be advertising. I really do not understand. Can you repair it ? Thanks a lot, best regards, Henriduvent (talk) 21:51, 7 July 2015 (UTC)

Dear RHaworth, You deleted this draft as a copyright violation but there is a valid release for the text under ticket:2015070710016037. Is it possible for you to restore this draft? — Natuur12 (talk) 22:28, 7 July 2015 (UTC)

Sorry to bother you, but since this article was kept at WP:AfD, should it really have been speedy-deleted? — SuperMarioMan ( talk ) 00:24, 8 July 2015 (UTC)

Sandbox deletion

Wondering why you deleted my sandbox? I was planning to check out whether I could merge the fact/ref/taxobox of Callicebus miltoni with Milton's titi. My problem is I lost another article I was working a draft on in the history. Could you kindly restore the version of my sandbox prior to the copying of Callicebus miltoni if you feel that violates Wikipedia policy. Thanks in advance, AshLin (talk) 01:12, 8 July 2015 (UTC)

  • @AshLin: Comment I would point out that you had placed a PROD tag on the page with your final edit to it. Perhaps you did so inadvertently. I mistook that as a request for deletion by user. Sorry for the mix up. Safiel (talk) 16:38, 8 July 2015 (UTC)

I don't think this article qualified for speedy deletion given that there were several independent news sources covering the TV channel (and who knows how many additional sources could exist in Tamil). Could you restore it so that it could be the subject of an AFD instead? I think it is worth having eyes on it from those who speak Tamil or are familiar with television in Sri Lanka. Thanks, Calliopejen1 (talk) 01:12, 8 July 2015 (UTC)

Thanks. I agree the article is not the best, but I don't think it's an unequivocal delete, and I assume that Hell in a Bucket is equally incapable of finding potential sources in Tamil. I'd just like further input (hopefully from those that can) before it's deleted. Thanks, Calliopejen1 (talk) 15:55, 8 July 2015 (UTC)

We have AFC for a process. If you wanted to help with adding those Tamil sources (i sympathize, i have posted on wikiprojects surrounding those to gauge notability elsewhere on other occasions) This was an abandoned article for creation, and not ready for mainspace. It shouldn't have been passed at all with that prose and sourcing. Hell in a Bucket (talk) 16:44, 8 July 2015 (UTC)

Somos Next

Hi, A couple of months ago I created a Somos Next wiki page, but you deleted it. I am trying to recreate it, now that I have more sources to back it up. I cannot provide you with a wikilink since it got deleted. Can you please help me find a way to re create the page that was deleted. Thank you very much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Somoscompany (talkcontribs) 20:39, 8 July 2015 (UTC)

  • Cannot provide a link! So why cannot you provide a link to the page that tells you that I deleted it? Kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks your company is notable and writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 10:03, 9 July 2015 (UTC)

Karindas

User:MKarindas/KGS The Karindas Grading System. Dear Roger, The article in the above link was deleted by you.

- In this article, I am not talking about myself or advertising myself. The article I mention in the content was written by me and it presents a new, important tumor grading system for the good of the science of medicine; it is something vital, important and necessary for clinical practice in oncology and for cancer patients.

- The article has recently been published in AJBM, an international medical journal: [2].

- I would greatly appreciate your doing the necessary for the replacement of the article.

- One more thing which I would also appreciate your doing: There are two related google links about your deletion (below) telling the world how and why you have deleted the article. These are two totally unnecessary, extremely downgrading and irritatingly senseless pages. Could you please delete them??? [3] [4].

Thank you and I definitely look forward to hearing from you soon... Best regards, Mark (M. M. Karindas) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.85.253.193 (talk) 21:02, 8 July 2015 (UTC)

Berkshire

Hi There,

The Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices California Properties page was recently deleted. I'd like to recover and edit the page to better meet Wikipedia standards. Is this something you can help me with? I'm not seeing any of the old content. Not sure if I've done something incorrectly or how to recover what's been submitted. Your guidance would be much appreciated. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BHHSCalifornia (talkcontribs) 23:53, 8 July 2015 (UTC)

  • The best guidance I can give is to guide you as far from Wikipedia as possible. Kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks your company is notable and writes about it here. Stay off my user and talk pages please

Stay off my talk and user pages, thanks. Freedom of speech and democracy is a good virtue Sukuk51 (talk) 22:39, 9 July 2015 (UTC)

Sukuk51, If advising you on how to use your user page and talk page is what you abysmally consider inappropriate, then you are getting it wrong. Persistent misuse of both pages (user page and talk page) is considered disruptive and could result in an indefinite block. Wikigyt@lk to M£ 23:10, 9 July 2015 (UTC)

Why have you blocked my user page? It is called Censorship, Wikipedia is not North Korea, which policy or rule has been broken? Islamophobes rejoice. Sukuk51 (talk) 22:52, 9 July 2015 (UTC)

Sukuk51, you have to read What Wikipedia is NOT also its subsection Wikipedia is not a Democracy. You are comparing Wikipedia with North Korea but sometimes Wikipedia can be worst than North Korea. One can get blocked for lifetime for continuous disruptive editing. Don't think that Wikipedia is blog writing, Facebook has 100 times more freedom than Wikipedia. Hi , I want to start the page addanki sridhar babu (User:Sakthi_swaroop/sandbox) which was deleted ..I have collected more references and citations, and I don't want to do the same mistakes which I have done earlier ..I will complete the article first in the sandbox .. Dear Roger, I tried to get Nassir Navab restored yesterday and was told on Wikipedia:Requests_for_undeletion#Nassir_Navab that it was speed-deleted under A7, and that I should contact you. Nassir Navab is a full professor at Johns Hopkins University and University of Technology Munich, Germany (TUM). Significant impact in the field of computer vision and medical imaging, with over 10k citations. Fellow of the MICCAI society, the organizer of the world’s leading conference on medical image computing and computer assisted intervention. One of the founders of IEEE International Symposium on Mixed and Augmented Reality (ISMAR). Is associate editor or on editorial board of the two journals in the field with the highest impact factor. Won Siemens Inventor of the Year award in 2001, holding 44 granted US and over 50 international patents. So I think he fulfills the notability criteria - could you please restore the article? I'd be happy to improve it in a timely manner. Thank you! -- OliverZettinig (talk) 14:45, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

Oh, I was neither aware that the original article was misspelled nor that it was such a stub. My apologies for the inconveniences. I've started drafting a proper article in my user NS. May I kindly ask you later, once I'm done, for having a look at it before it's moved to the MNS? -- OliverZettinig (talk) 22:50, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

Merely by coincidence. If you type "nassir n" on an iPhone search bar these days, there will be a small box with the Wikipedia logo showing around half of the first sentence that used to be there. Apparently, Apple doesn't update its index that often. This is how I learned that there used to be an article. If I had paid close attention, I would have noticed the different spelling but I didn't. And nobody told me on Wikipedia:Requests_for_undeletion about the misspelling either. --OliverZettinig (talk) 17:11, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

Talk page of deleted page

I assume you forgot to delete File talk:Leilamaknoun.jpg. — ww2censor (talk) 22:37, 10 July 2015 (UTC)

Why is this page protected? I wanted to create this article but I see it's been deleted many times. But I think there's enough information about him to create the page. — ItsJustine (talk) 18:55, 11 July 2015 (UTC)

(talk page stalker) @ItsJustine: Then I'd suggest you write a draft via the Article Wizard. If we have to delete an article more than a half-dozen times, we tend to weary of deleting it over and over again. — Huon (talk) 20:39, 11 July 2015 (UTC)

El Seven deletion

Some months ago you deleted my wiki page for my business El Seven. Since then my business has made many strides including a revamped website, subsidiaries and a few publications. If businesses like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SB.TV can have pages without being deleted I cannot see why mine would be. So I am contacting you again because I definitely need to make a page now and do not want it to get deleted again. Also is there a way of restoring the deleted page as it would save me time redrafting it all again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ElSevenuk (talkcontribs) 15:48, 12 July 2015 (UTC)

Kindly have the patience to wait until someone with no WP:COI thinks your El Seven is notable and writes about it here. — Wikigyt@lk to M£ 16:47, 12 July 2015 (UTC)

Marianne Hirsch deletion

Hi Mr. Haworth, checking in about my article on Marianne Hirsch, which Sulfurboy marked for deletion due to copyright violations and you then deleted. Four sentences directly matched the source, either stating her position (“MH is the xxx Professor of xxx) or providing lists (“one of the founders of x,” “recipient of fellowships from x,” “has served on x”). The first can’t be changed, and if the others are to remain accurate they can at most be changed by 2-3 words; I’d be happy to make those changes or remove them. The rest contained new information, citations, and language, and some of what was marked as plagiarism was not found on the cited page. I’d really appreciate the opportunity to fix the violating sentences and publish a more acceptable article. Apologies for this, and thanks for your time and work! — Knifegames (talk) 19:06, 12 July 2015 (UTC)

Thanks so much; I'm hopeful that the new version is up to par, and I've added a few more in-line citations. Knifegames (talk) 22:51, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

Robert B. Stone

Dear Mr. Haworth, I am writing about the page that I'm developing for author Robert B. Stone (my father). The initial draft was deleted last year. I very much understand the reason and we will be happy to write an original, un-copyrighted narrative of his history and works. My only request is for you to temporarily reinstate the page, if that is possible, as I spent a bit of time learning and setting up the format. If that is impossible, I do understand and will be happy to climb that mountain again as a wikipedia novice.

We are preparing for the centenary of his birth, this coming February, and thus we will be spending time to develop on-line reference materials on Dr. Stone, author of 87 books and international lecturer on achieving health and successful living. We will thus appreciate your assistance. Thank you. Dennis Stone Dstone2 (talk) 21:16, 12 July 2015 (UTC)

Deletion of image Manish Godha.png

Hello, This is regarding deletion of file:Manish Godha.png from page Manish Godha. I have the permission to use this image, and had also mentioned the source link for the original image. What else would I need to use this image for this article? —Vishal0soni (talk) 12:25, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

  • Please read this. The first thing you need is a proper JPG file at least 640px high instead of insulting us with a thumbnail. Fair use is not allowed for images of living people so the copyright owner must be willing to release the image under {{cc-by-sa-4.0}} or compatible. It should be uploaded to the Commons and permission should be confirmed as explained here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 15:45, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

Requested undeletion of several articles

Hi, recently you have speedy deleted some articles that I think were not covered under the speedy deletion criteria, especially the A7 criterion. This criterion states that it "does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance even if the claim is not supported by a reliable source or does not qualify on Wikipedia's notability guidelines." Accordingly, I think that the following articles should be undeleted since they are disqualified from A7 under this restriction. For each article, I have listed a web source or two that I found by brief googling to reinforce the credible claim of significance present in the article. If it is possible, it would be best to recreate some of the articles under a different title with the old article's contents and history. If this is not possible, feel free to undelete under the original title, and I will move them myself.

Deletion review

An editor has asked for a deletion review of Paul Johnson (Broadcaster). Because you closed the deletion discussion for this page, speedily deleted it, or otherwise were interested in the page, you might want to participate in the deletion review.

I also requested DRVs of Suryakant Lokhande, Washington center for equitable growth, Castratii, and Barfchal tradition, but I'm not going to trouble you with five templates. I do not mean to seem to be picking on you in particular-- it's just that you happened to be the deleting admin for Paul Johnson (Broadcaster) (which I remembered) and your deletion log offered a few more good A7 cases. Since I already had your log open, I picked your A7 speedies purely to save myself time in searching. I promise to not request any more DRVs until these five are resolved. A2soup (talk) 05:52, 14 July 2015 (UTC)

I looked at the Google cache, which had the text for all of them except Paul Johnson, which was from memory and seems to be no longer cached. I'm trying to develop a clearer definition of "credible claim of significance" than what we have now. I thought all of the articles listed above contained such a claim based on my reasoning from what is currently written at WP:A7 and WP:Credible claim of significance. Thanks in large part to these DRVs, I see that consensus is that my proposed definition is too broad, so I'll be discussing what a better definition would look like. You can read and critique my reasoning on this stuff (and, ideally, propose your own definition) here. A2soup (talk) 15:40, 14 July 2015 (UTC)

  • @A2soup: suspicions withdrawn - you did look at the text. Next question: you moved the ClearTax message to the bottom of this page - good. Why did you leave the Tutor-web message in the wrong place? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:47, 15 July 2015 (UTC)
Trying to muck around with your talk page as little as possible. If I were you, my recent actions would have made me a bit touchy, so I was trying to be sensitive to that. A2soup (talk) 15:10, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

Straight Up Films Deletion

Hello RHawroth, On April 16, 2015 you deleted an entry for Straight Up Films. The reason given was: A7: Article about an eligible subject, which does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject. I am interested in creating a new entry for them. Do I have your permission? Thank you. Bavli2000 (talk) 07:22, 14 July 2015 (UTC)

  • Please learn how to copy&paste (you cannot even spell my user name) and how to create wikilinks. "Do I have your permission" is the wrong question - you don't need my permission! The message below is asking the right question: "if I repost, are you likely to re-delete?" The answer is: if it as badly written and poorly referenced as what I deleted, then it is likely to get deleted again. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:12, 14 July 2015 (UTC)

Tutor-web

The Tutor-web is an on-line resource (not a web page), including a mobile web system (being developed into an "education in a suitcase" system). It is a completely public, free and open resource and quite unique in that it includes self-assessment for students, peer-evaluation etc etc etc. My plan was to start with a little stub and continue writing it with the help of others in the tutor-web user community.

The wikipedia entry got deleted (by you) within a few hours of generation. I believe I was only up to a sentence or two: (The tutor-web is an on-line system for learning and providing educational material. The tutor-web uses an internal currency, the Smileycoin (SMLY <ref>"Smileycoin info". tutor-web.net. Retrieved 2015-07-15.</ref>) to reward students for their performance.) Can you clarify whether your action implies means I can not expect to ever include a description of this project on Wikipedia? — Gstefans (talk) 17:50, 14 July 2015 (UTC)

  • Yes, my action implies very firmly that you should not try to re-submit. It is possible that if the website (the distinction between online resource and web page in the context of speedy deletions is too subtle for my simple brain) becomes notable, someone with no COI may write about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:47, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

review protected article

Hello dear i created an article Ataa Ullah Khan Wato Kheshgi on a great Islamic sufi from early era of Islam. His history belongs to 5th century after Islam. 1000 year before he worked for humanity. Many history writers mentioned him in their books. Great sufi saints visited his grave like Moinuddin Chishti and Qutbuddin Bakhtiar Kaki in 12th century(C.E). Many rulers also visited his grave like famous king Muhammad of Ghor. I created an article on his life, Unfortunately, it has been marked as protected. Kindly review this article. -- Syed ali moeen (talk) 01:49, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

  • The operative word is "article". I have not yet seem anything substantial enough about the guy to qualify as an article. But at the top of every page you look at you have a prominent flag saying "you have new messages". Why have you not followed that link? — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:47, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

And restore at least File:Keith Ansell-Pearson.jpg to retain which, I think, I had given reasonable justification? Thanks. -Mohanbhan (talk) 09:53, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

  • Please learn to provide links. Fair use is not allowed for images of living people. Also do not insult Wikipedia with a thumbnail with the word "Pearson" on it. Get hold of a decent size image (>=1024px high) which is available under a {{cc-by-sa-4.0}} licence and upload it to the Commons. If you cannot find such an image, then the article must go un-illustrated. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 13:47, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

ClearTax deletion

Hey RHaworth, Hope you're doing great. I noticed that the article ClearTax was deleted on the grounds of being promotional - G11.

As far as I understand, G11 clearly states that "Note: An article which describes its subject from a neutral point of view does not qualify for this criterion". My point is two fold -
1. ClearTax is notable enough - First India focused YCombinator start-up. A lot of start-ups in India look up to ClearTax in India and ClearTax has essentially begun a trend of Indian companies making it to YCombinator.
2. The article is completely matter of fact and there is no promotional nature to it. If there are any concerns around any content, the content can be worked on to add further information & reliable links.

Let me know what you think about it! Thanks, have a good day. P.S. - I am in no way affiliated to ClearTax. I admire them as a company and was surprised to not find them here. Went ahead and gave a shot to write this as my first article. — Trustandhonesty (talk) 09:07, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

FYI, this same article was kept at AfD, so speedy deletion would not seem to be an appropriate action. A2soup (talk) 10:00, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

May I request that a page be undeleted?

I have noticed that this page, qwertzuiopasdfghjklyxcvbnm, a redirect to QWERTZ was deleted, but I believe that it is useful. I assume that you were not aware of the QWERTZ keyboard, whose keys were neatly arranged in the way how my redirect was. I believe that it may be useful for those who ever wish to know what the keyboard is called. To remove the redirect is also ironic because we already keep qwertyuiopasdfghjklzxcvbnm, which links to QWERTY, for those who wish to know what this keyboard is called. I assume that you were not familiar with the QWERTZ keyboard. It is a lot like QWERTY, but the Y and Z keys are swapped. Unless there be a reason to keep it deleted, I really do not see why it must be removed, for it is ironic to remove one thing but not the other. Gamingforfun365 (talk) 23:19, 15 July 2015 (UTC)

  • In fact I think that the redirect I deleted and the qwerty… redirect are both utterly pointless. But: a) redirects are cheap, b) in this case other stuff exists seems a totally valid argument and c) the speedy tag on qwertZ… had been applied by Compassionate727 (talk · contribs) whose heart is in the right place but just does not seem to be able to distinguish between valid redirects and dud ones. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:23, 17 July 2015 (UTC)

Hello Mr. Haworth, I can you please send me the deleted article for the link below regarding Anthiny Inman. I have met this man and am trying to verify his credentials or lack there of, any help would be much appreciated. I'm not that tech savy so I hope I attached the link correctly: Anthony Inman. Best Regards, 05:04, 16 July 2015 (UTC) Shannon 05:04, 16 July 2015 (UTC) Angels224 (talk)

  • The link was not in the preferred format but at least it was a working link which is more than some people provide. Since it is nearly four years down the road from the deletions, I am going to assume good faith. I hope that the Anthony Inman that you know is not the one illustrated on the right and educated at Lake Worth High School and Wellington High School. The article was a childish bit of nonsense most being a copy of the Sean Parker article. I can let you see the text - read this. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:23, 17 July 2015 (UTC)

Sarasindia

Hi Sir, May I know the reason why my page Sarasindia was deleted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Srikanth.source (talkcontribs) 05:37, 16 July 2015 (UTC)

  • A page containing ten words and having no references stands no chance. But kindly have the decency to wait until someone with no COI thinks your company is notable and writes about it here. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 12:23, 17 July 2015 (UTC)

American Logic Machines

Mr. Roger Hoawrth, 23:19, 4 July 2015 RHaworth (talk | contribs) deleted page American Logic Machines (A7: Article about an eligible subject, which does not credibly indicate the importance or significance of the subject). This show your ignorance about this company. There are several people that have asked why American Logic Machines has not had a wiki presence over the years. There are hundreds of pages like Egenera which are similar to the wiki page submitted.

Moving user page to sandbox

Hi RHaworth,

Is there a reason you moved Dragonfly5660's user page to their sandbox (actually, the talk page of the sandbox)? As far as I understood it, "sandbox" content can exist on any page in user space provided it doesn't run afoul of our content policies. The sandbox subpage just serves as a convenient location for editors that might choose to use it. Adam (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:28, 17 July 2015 (UTC)

I've left a note for the student should you want to comment there rather than here. Thanks. Adam (Wiki Ed) (talk) 15:52, 17 July 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for your reply on the student's talk page. Wikipedia:User pages does not in any way proscribe the use of a user page (not just a user sub-page) for drafts. Nor was it ever (in the years when I was an admin) common practice to move or modify someone's user page unless really necessary. Adam (Wiki Ed) (talk) 18:47, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

Seeds of Death: Unveiling the Lies of GMOs

Dear RHaworth, I totally disagree with the deletion of Seeds of Death: Unveiling the Lies of GMOs. The reasons given for its deletion and totally incorrect. There is nothing about the article that is intentionally or unintentionally promotional in any way. If that were the case then we could argue that X-Men: Days of Future Past is nothing more than a shameless promotion for Lauren Shuler Donner and 20th Century Fox and their shareholders. And if that's the case then we had better set about deleting 99% of the film articles in Wikipedia. Either that or Wikipedia must re-brand itself. It must announce a new policy that anything to do with controversial subject or anything that may lead to people questioning the official version of things such as GMOs, BIG PHARMA, vaccinations, the military industry be banned. I'm in no way saying that your actions are anything to do with certain agendas taking place. Not at all. But I am saying now that there are serious discussions taking place. Serious discussions taking place about who may really control and influence Wikipedia. Many thanks. Mr Bill Truth (talk) 09:37, 18 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi RHaworth, I would support taking another look at whether this article should have been deleted at all, let alone without community input. Would you consider reversing your decision? Thanks, petrarchan47คุ 23:31, 18 July 2015 (UTC)
What do references have to do with the G11 criteria? A2soup (talk) 13:41, 19 July 2015 (UTC)

I'm wondering the same thing. The original reason for the deletion was (G11: Unambiguous advertising or promotion) which I totally dispute. Now it's references. Oh well ..... If you can please restore the article others can improve on it and iron out rough edges if any. Nothing like team effort. Thanks. BTW: I noticed you must of accidentally trimmed the title of this when you changed == Seeds of Death: Unveiling the Lies of GMOs - Please restore article == [5] to == Unveiling the Lies of GMOs == [6]. So I've restored this section to == Seeds of Death: Unveiling the Lies of GMOs == — Mr Bill Truth (talk) 10:10, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

I contested the deletion of this article addressing the concerns of WP:CSD A7 on the articles talk page. Did you happen to notice it before deletion? -- N8 19:35, 18 July 2015 (UTC)

I just noticed this was moved to my userspace pages. I'll get to work on it there. Thanks! --N8 19:44, 18 July 2015 (UTC)

Albert Eutropius

Hello there, A stub article that I recently created, Albert Eutropius, was tagged with CSD A7 and you then deleted it. The article refers to a rugby player who played for France and was killed in WWI. It's part of a series I'm doing based on List of international rugby union players killed in World War I. I believe that means that A7 does not apply, since it "does not apply to any article that makes any credible claim of significance or importance". Please could it be undeleted? Many thanks, FunkyCanute (talk) 21:06, 18 July 2015 (UTC)

Deletion of D. Ray Heisey

Dear Colleague, You have deleted D. Ray Heisey for copyright infringment. I wish you gave us enough time to remove the copyrighted material. Would it be possible to give me that opportunity? — Esmatly (talk) 04:47, 19 July 2015 (UTC)

Dear RHaworth, it seems an intercultural misunderstanding has happened. I am Iranian and it is not uncommon for the Iranians to use "us" to refer to "me." And, I am a real person; I teach media studies and I do not represent any corporation. By first message, I meant to ask you to restore the page, so I could remove the copyrighted material, which was not inserted by me.Esmatly (talk) 20:06, 19 July 2015 (UTC)

Sharaf Khorasani

hi. thanks for noticing. you mentioned "no meaningful, substantive content" as reasons for the deletion of Sharaf_Khorasani. I think that give you some information about him. professor Doctor sharaf Khorasani the late is one of the prominent and famous in Iran on Islamic philosophy and western philosophy. he educated in Cambridge university and at the same time was inversed in five languages. he also has written many works in philosophy and translate many books from Germany and French to Persian. besides he was one of the credited persons in Islamic great encyclopedia in writing important articles such as Avicenna , brothern of purity and so on. these characters makes him as notable person. I hope these traits would be enough to revert the page and don't count the page as unmeanningful.-- m,sharaf (talk) 05:29, 19 July 2015 (UTC)

RHaworth: anyway thanks for restoring. I try to develop it then bring to mainspace. -- m,sharaf (talk) 09:20, 19 July 2015 (UTC)

Potential page move

Hello RHaworth: I received a note on my talk page (diff) regarding the potential of moving Tommy Sotomayor (radio host) to Tommy Sotomayor, the latter of which you fully protected back in 11 July 2014. The subject appears to meet WP:BASIC at this time, and since there is no other article for a subject with this name, the move is warranted. I request your input to avoid any potential for wheel warring regarding this matter. North America1000 08:31, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

Thanks for the prompt action and reply. North America1000 20:32, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

John Peck (poet)

Hello Roger, My name is Steel Wagstaff. I'm writing because I noticed that the John Peck (poet) for the American poet John Peck was deleted by you in December 2012. I was wondering if you'd be willing to check on the page's status and/or restore the page, so that a small group of Peck's readers can edit/improve it. Peck is a real poet, and of real significance, and justly deserves a Wikipedia page, which I (and some others) would be willing to begin building when the page is restored. Many thanks, Steel — Preceding unsigned comment added by SteelWagstaff (talkcontribs) 15:36, 20 July 2015 (UTC)

Request to rewrite deleted article

I wrote the article Food Neophiles: Profiling the Adventurous Eater but it was deleted due to copyright infringement (I asked that it be deleted upon discovering this, so thank you!) Europe Prize

Hi Roger, May I put up a defence of my use of the material appearing on this draft page, recently deleted by you? Draft:Europe_Prize. The Council of Europe, the 47-nation international organisation for whom I work, allows the material on its websites to be used in accordance with this policy: http://www.coe.int/en/web/portal/disclaimer

That states that reproduction of material posted on Council of Europe websites is authorised for "informational and educational uses relating to the Council of Europe’s work", subject to the condition that the source be indicated and no charge made for reproduction. Both conditions are fulfilled in this case, and therefore I submit that my draft entry is fully in line with Wikipedia's guidelines. (It's not directly relevant here, but - for info - the CoE page that I quote from was actually drafted by me!). Many thanks for considering these points and, if you consider it appropriate, re-posting my draft. Regards, GAKM GAKM (talk) 14:49, 24 July 2015 (UTC)
