So, I saw on the Red Hulk's page that he got beat by Hulk (Green) and Thor. Can you give me some details on the fight (mostly how they, Hulk (Green) Thor, beat him and how bad). Thanks!! The K.O. King (talk) 00:42, 12 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
We have now reached our goal of getting the number of Stub-Class articles below 600. The current count is 588. It still would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help expand and/or source an article or two. A list has been placed on the stub article subpage of stub articles of well-known wrestlers that should be fairly easy to improve.
The Collaboration has recently been revamped, and we will now have 6 collaborations at a time. The current collaborations will stand until they reach a certain goal, e.g. Good article status.

CB & MI13
Yes indeed - the second trade is already listed and Panini have published the the first one in the UK (interesting two page introduction - I'll see if there is anything we can use, like his idea for it to be a British Avengers), so hopefully good sales will make up for a dip in sales of the comic (although it really needs to level out now or there might be problems). I do wonder if the Marvel sales guy who suggested it was going to be deleted over on the CBR forums might have been trailing the idea to see what the reaction was. I suspect the main problem is that if people think it is doomed they might not invest their time and money in it and it might not work out very economical for Paul Cornell or Leonard Kirk to stay on. Fingers crossed though. Doctor Doom and Dracula, on the Moon!! That is a sure-fire winner!!
It is a pity such a critically acclaimed series isn't getting more readers. I am unsure what is happening with the Eagle Awards this year but I was planning on getting in early and nominating the series and creators (and it should do well enough to make it through to the short-list) - a few awards can't hurt either. (Emperor (talk) 15:34, 8 February 2009 (UTC))[reply]
It is indeed worrying as The Eternals was cancelled quietly the other week and it was only a few hundred below CB & MI13. I was hoping it'd stabilise around 20k, which is viable but then it dropped again. I'll be keeping an eye out on future sales and cross my fingers. It could that it is saved by trade sales and great reviews (where The Eternals met a lukewarm reception). Makes you wonder if that earlier cancellation business was them running up a flag to see what the reaction was. (Emperor (talk) 20:09, 16 March 2009 (UTC))[reply]
Yes well they are direct sales estimates from Diamond, so it is only a relative measure, although in most cases it is a useful measure (I have heard rumours that the best selling comic of last year chalked up sales of around 500,000 but direct sales only contributed 5% of that - it was based on a video game and most of the comics were sold to people through direct subscriptions). So yes, it could be the case something like CB&MI13 are chalking up more sales than the Diamond numbers show (and trade sales could be strong). It could also be the editorial staff have faith in it - one recent interview with Dan DiDio said Jonah Hex was largely still running because he liked it and it gave DC something important in a solid non-superhero title. However, CB&MI13 is still bumping along around the cancellation numbers. What I don't really understand is that when it started it had similar numbers to Guardians of the Galaxy but has shed a lot more sales and you can hardly blame the PR push behind the title. All very odd. (Emperor (talk) 14:37, 21 March 2009 (UTC))[reply]
Oh I've pondered that one a time or two. As I say you can't fault the effort Paul Cornell has put in on the marketing front and using Secret Invasion should have set the title up with a nice base of readers (I have rather changed my opinion of "events" when thinking about things from that angle as they can be useful for getting good coverage for titles that might otherwise get overlooked). I must conclude that people will just buy anything with the big characters in them, even though the most acclaimed comic runs (from people like Alan Moore and Grant Morrison) have been playing with the C-list characters because you can pretty much do what you want without people making a fuss. Ah well, here's hoping that it slowly snowballs back to decent numbers - that sales boost should keep it from being cancelled for now. (Emperor (talk) 21:16, 21 March 2009 (UTC))[reply]
And just when I had given up hope of the Eagles the nominations open [1]. I've thrown in CB&MI13 as best new comic book and best American colour comic book (as well as Cornell for writer an Kirk for art and passed along the link to Mark from It Came From Dartmoor, who has done a great pushing the title. That said sales dipped again although I possibly didn't add the new numbers into the article. (Emperor (talk) 18:13, 12 May 2009 (UTC))[reply]
I can't really blame Marvel - they launched it in their big event and there was a lot of publicity (OK that might be Paul Cornell and his agent doing that but still...) but in the end the sales were bumping along well below 20K and that is a bad place to be (it also might not be too economical for your time if you are in demand as he is) and I think it only lasted as long because of the good things everyone was saying about it (The Eternals was just dropped but then again no one has been able to sustain that as an ongoing, not even Kirby, so...).
That said I can't quite work out where it went wrong - was it the specific British focus? When CB has had a British focus it has usually been in British comics (as well as being written by powerhouses like Alan Moore). Perhaps he needs to be tied into more of a X-book? Really Excalibur was nominally an X-book but perhaps that helped, as did their roving far overseas. I can't see the problem being the characters as most have had high profile exposure in American titles. Ah I dunno. I might drop in the inevitable thread on the CBR forums and chew that one over.
I must admit I am inclined to the idea that some teams and characters can't sustain (like The Eternals) can't sustain an ongoing at the moment and it might be best to drop in mini-series to get people interested and then if sales are growing you could try a maxiseries or ongoing if the signs were right. I thought CB&MI13 could work as an ongoing but there was clearly not the interest, for now. Perhaps a better name might work. ;) (Emperor (talk) 18:39, 19 May 2009 (UTC))[reply]
There is quite a bit of discussion on the Comic Book Resources forum [2], including the idea about sending Joe Q tea bags, which sounds great. See also this on cancellation season by Sword (Mark who runs the It Came From Dartmoor blog). I'm registered there but haven't posted, looks like now might be the time ;)
Also the readership - it is horses for courses, 99% of TV is rubbish I don't want to watch (and the only popular show I watch is Dr Who), it is just surprising how good the quality of comics output is. I do worry about whether events are successful because of the marketing (people buying things because they are told to) but you can't fault the coverage, there is a tonne of interviews. I am still stumped on why this happened. (Emperor (talk) 21:20, 19 May 2009 (UTC))[reply]
I think the good thing is that, thanks to such a solid run, Cap's return will be sooner rather than later and if they learn from this run it could be dug in for a longer run. (Emperor (talk) 03:11, 26 July 2009 (UTC))[reply]

Thanks for the reply. I think the Terrax/Surfer battle will be close. The only reason I think Terrax will win is because when Galactus created him he said that Terrax was his most powerful herald of all. I hate to bother you and ask for so many opinions from you but, how bad do you think World War Hulk would beat Red Hulk? Anyway thanks for taking the time to chat with me no matter how annoying I get (I'll get worse). God bless and have a good day. The K.O. King (talk) 14:42, 23 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This question is not my fault (my friend Habil wants to know) who do you like better the Red Hulk or Green Hulk? Who would win in a battle between the Smart Green Hulk or Rulk? Do you not like Loeb like me and Habil (his story lines are crappy)? And lastly, who do you think is more powerful Hulk or Rulk? I will leave you alone for a while but be warned I will return.
