Help in Sunderland

[edit]

Hi, how are you? Sorry to bother you about it.

There is a graffiti in Sunderland with Raich Carter, here's a link: [1].

I don't know how to do it, so could I please ask you to upload that photo to Wiki? I would like to add it to theCity of Sunderland, Hendon, Sunderland, Raich Carter and Sunderland AFC articles. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Maxim.il89 (talkcontribs) 15:47, 20 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Maxim.il89 That photo is copyrighted, so cannot be used on wikipedia. Please see WP:NFC for more information. NiciVampireHeart 17:33, 20 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Amaerican Revolution article

[edit]

Hi, can you tell me if you are currently acting as admin for this article? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Godwhale (talkcontribs)

@Godwhale: No, that's not how wikipedia works. Admins have extra technical abilities, but are not in charge of content moderation. If you having disagreements with other users, try discussing it on the talk page of the article or their talk pages. NiciVampireHeart 11:07, 8 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the reply and link. I’m familiar with how WP works, its just that I note that recently the article has been subject to ‘semi-protected edit requests,’ most recently on 11th March this year. I have added some text in the discussion page, as I have previously. I would greatly appreciate your thoughts on the points I have made. --Godwhale (talk) 08:45, 13 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Godwhale: edit requests are just that: requests for edits to be made by users who cannot otherwise edit the page. They can be answered by any editor who has the requisite ability to edit the article. As I have the ability to edit semi-protected articles, I go through Category:Wikipedia semi-protected edit requests to see if I can help, which is the limit of my interest in that topic. Thanks for the invitation, but I have no intention of involving myself in the discussions. NiciVampireHeart 11:31, 13 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

One of the major complaints made about WP is that it doesn’t enforce its own rules, allowing militant editors to bully newcomers and make others give up trying to achieve balanced articles because they know it is pointless. This is what has happened here; for years numerous editors have complained about Rjensen, a former major contributor to Conservapedia who uses sock-puppets to back up his arguments and wear people down by sheer bloody-minded attrition. Yet nothing is ever done to control his behavior and he is left alone to work with other militant editors to turn previously balanced articles into nationalistic BS. This article was far better ten years ago and as before, the points I have made on the talk page will be ignored because they know perfectly well they have no defence. I don't really understand why you would bother to become an admin and then not want to even try to deal with this. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7F:1888:300:E599:B6A:B450:874D (talk) 07:32, 18 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not an admin. I'm also not American, and couldn't care less about the American Revolution. As such, I have no idea of the clashing viewpoints on this article. I have no intention of getting involved in this, so please find somebody else's talk page to make your points on. NiciVampireHeart 12:02, 18 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Talk:List of school shootings in the United States

[edit]

Hello NiciVampireHeart, Thank you for responding so quickly to my attempt to add 4 four school shootings to the List of school shootings in the United States. I made the changes you suggested and titled the subject "Change === 2000s === to include four more school shootings & sources." I would greatly appreciate your expertise with Wikipedia if you could take a look in order to make sure I formatted it correctly this time.

Please help protect the honor of master Bruce Lee

[edit]

Hello NiciVampireHeart! I'm sorry to disturb you. Sorry for my English. Please help me defend the honor of martial artist Bruce Lee. The page dedicated to Bruce Lee was corrected by unscrupulous personalities and they removed the line “martial artist” in it. I tried to just fix it. But my corrections were quickly removed and said that Bruce Lee is not a master. With mockery, they asked me to personally prove to them that Bruce Lee is a master. And I began to prove it in the discussion. To prove something that does not need evidence for a long time ago. I spent 5 sleepless nights to find reputable sources and, moreover, the opinions of real experts on Bruce Lee's account. I have provided a million arguments. You yourself can see them. But they still don’t want to understand me. I am writing to you from Russia, all this happens on the Russian Wikipedia branch, on the Russian page dedicated to Bruce Lee. She is not protected in any way. And none of the Russian participants comes to my aid. At the moment, they refuse to fully recognize him as martial artists. I ask them to acknowledge the fact of the world and write it in the preamble without any unnecessary comments that they personally added now, they belittle it as a master. I want everything to be like the English version of Bruce Lee's Wikipedia page. Everything is well written there. Please, help. AfighterN (talk) 21:42, 22 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
