Lockdown (2008) (review page) and Over the Edge (1999) (review page) were promoted to Featured article status.
List of WWF Light Heavyweight Champions (review page) was promoted to Featured list status.
List of WWE Divas Champions and List of WWE Cruiserweight Champions (review page) were added and removed, respectively, from the Lists of World Wrestling Entertainment champions Featured topic.

Good content news

Masa Saito, No Mercy (2004), Slammiversary (2008), Survivor Series (1992), Survivor Series (2007), The Undertaker, and World Heavyweight Championship (WWE) are current Good article nominees.
Night of Champions (2008) (review page), Royal Rumble (1993) (review page), and The Simpsons Wrestling (review page) were promoted to Good article status.

Editing tips

This is a new section in the newsletter to help familiarize project members with the Manual of Style and general editing tips.

When expanding pay-per-view articles, avoid using wrestling jargon without an explanation, per WP:JARGON, maintain an out-of-universe perspective of the article, per WP:IN-U, and avoid writing in excess detail, per WP:PLOT. For further information see WP:PW/PPVG.
Our project has a cleanup listing. Please help by adding sources or expanding any articles listed here.
Per WP:MOSCAPS, television shows, such as RAW and iMPACT!, should be written as Raw and Impact!.
Due to a new consensus formed by Wikipedia users, dates should be unlinked in all articles, per WP:MOSNUM.
Please familiarize yourself with the general notability policy of Wikipedia. Avoid creating new articles that do not satisfy the requirements.
Avoid overlinking in an article. If a subject has been linked once already in the body paragraphs, there is no need to link it again, unless the length of the article requires it to be linked a second time. Lists are the only exceptions to this policy.

There are currently 617 articles in Category:Stub-Class Professional wrestling articles. It still would be greatly appreciated if anyone could help expand and/or source an article or two. A list has been placed on the stub article subpage of stub articles of well-known wrestlers that should be fairly easy to improve.

Recent wrestling news

On December 22:
- On Raw, Trish Stratus wrestled her first match in over two years in her native Toronto, Canada. She and John Cena defeated Santino Marella and Beth Phoenix in a Tag team match.
- It was reported by World Wrestling Entertainment that Batista was sidelined with a hamstring tear that required surgery.
- Maryse defeated Michelle McCool to win the WWE Divas Championship on an episode of Friday Night SmackDown, which aired on December 26.
On December 26:
- Independent Wrestling Association's Roland Montgomery, known as Rollin' Hard, died at his home in Louisville, Kentucky.
- WWE Divas Champion Maryse dislocated her kneecap at a WWE live event; it is unknown how long the injury will sideline her from in-ring competition.
World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) moved Paul Burchill and Katie Lea from the Raw brand to the ECW brand on December 30.
On January 2, U.S. Senator Henry Waxman filed a letter to the Office of National Drug Control Policy requesting a review of professional wrestling's steroid testing and usage.
