Church boxing bouts
[edit]O.K. KO. Since I am the one bringing the gloves, I have full control on who gets to fight and who doesn't. I have no bias to any party, and am "fair, but firm". When we talk about this, we talk not as frends, but as businessmen. It is purely professional. When they fight, I expect good, clean, conduct. This is business, and while I know you understand that, I need you to make sure that Habil, Jake, and whoever else fights my brother understands this. If they feel that they can't be friends with him or never talk to him again if defeated and act they like sore losers, they will not fight at all.
We'll need to find judges who don't have any bias towards one party, meaning no parents or close friends, although it would be a good idea if say, my mom, your mom, and Sister Jenny observed the fight. I could do the judging, like they did in the old days, but I've got my hands full as it is. I guess I could do judging, though, since I don't care whether he or the opponent wins or not, just so long as one doesn't kill the other.
Here are the rules:
- 6 three minute rounds
- 10 point must system
- No 3 knockdown rule
- Only referee (that's me) can stop the fight
- No illegal punches
- Can be saved by the bell in final round
Since I will be purchasng two sets of headgear shortly, each fighter will wear these, allowing for head shots. All fighters must wear jock-straps as a precaution, please have them give me the money, and I will gladly buy the straps for them. I have bought three mouthguards, and will fit in fighter's mouths at the most a week before the actual fight. Wraps will be used on fighter's gloves, and will be signed by me. They will also be used on a fighter's hands. If you have any questions, please contact me at home, the cell phone, my talk page, or just talk to me on Saturday. Thanks.--Jedi Kasra (talk) 08:05, 22 May 2008 (UTC)

- Yeah I got some decent contacts at a few gyms in NY. The first thing they are going to ask is what I asked - "how did he get on at the Golden Gloves" - unfortunately Virginia GG finished in March. Are registered you with a gym?--Vintagekits (talk) 18:34, 28 May 2008 (UTC)

- I think you have to be registered with a club to enter into the Golden Gloves. If yer serious about the game you need to be going to a club and getting training. You'll be ingraining bad habits now if yer trainin yerself mate. Getting yerself joined to yer local club - enter the GG's and if you do well I'll be happy to sort out a trip up to Gleasons Gym for someone to have a look at ya.--Vintagekits (talk) 18:40, 30 May 2008 (UTC)

Re: Jesus
[edit]Hi The K.O. King, and thank you for your query. In response to your question I would like to point out that there is no other forum in our world in which we can make bold statements about something without any evidence, and we’re not aloud to question them without being deemed intolerant. If a scientist were to write a book about the true nature of the universe and have zero evidence to back up his theories, he would be shunned from the scientific community. But if he had written such a book in pre-scientific times then suddenly it could be considered a credible source of information for the meaning of everything. I want to suggest that there is a giant unicorn that created everything and everyone. This unicorn continues to watch over the world and make decisions about the events that take place on it. I’m sure this unicorn-based religion sounds ridiculous, but if it was taught to us from our birth and we went to meetings every week to worship the giant unicorn, it wouldn’t seem so outlandish to 90% of the people. There is just as much scientific evidence supporting the religion that I just made up as there is for any existent religion. I don’t believe in God at all, just like I don’t believe in Zeus, Apollo, Allah, or Mother Goose. MagicBullet5 (talk) 15:13, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- No, the unicorn was used as a metaphor to show how there is no basis or evidence for religions. What makes you think that God wrote the Bible? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Magicbullet5 (talk • contribs) 15:32, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- A bunch of men in robes who wanted power wrote it. MagicBullet5 (talk) 15:43, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- Christians made it their prerogative to stop stem-cell research from being funded and stealing new hope from people with spinal injuries and diseases of the central nervous system. Christians may say that they do wonderful work in the third world helping many suffering people every day. Christians do some good work in the third world but they are still doing good things for bad reasons. What is nobler: helping the sick and the poor because you want to help alleviate human suffering, or doing it because you think that God wants you to help them? There are many Christians who preach against condom use in parts of Africa where AIDS kills millions of people a year; the late pope for example. They also have no trouble preaching the word of Christianity in Africa, fueling wars between Christians and Muslims that continue to rage on to this day. I often see Christian ministers on TV talking about how evil Islam is and about the disgusting things found in the Koran. Christians can be the most hypocritical religion in that sense. MagicBullet5 (talk) 15:44, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- I agree with some of your points The K.O. King, but I do not believe in the slightest that there is scientific evidence supporting the Bible. MagicBullet5 (talk) 14:44, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- The Grand Canyon is from Noah's flood? Give me a break. None of the things you mentioned have any scientific merit. There is no God, and I think that deep down you know that. MagicBullet5 (talk) 14:50, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- What sinful evil things have you done? I can't imagine that a nice guy like you has done anything too bad. The church just wants you to feel bad over petty things that don't matter. I suggest you look into secular humanism. MagicBullet5 (talk) 14:58, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
- You were only twelve, you couldn't have done anything very bad. You weren't saved, you were brainwashed. 198.237.17.15 (talk) 15:11, 5 June 2008 (UTC)

Red vs Green
[edit]Lol, well its Red's title so he seemed to be winning and he definitely had the last shot before Thor got in the way. But i doubt we have seen the last of the green. --- Paulley (talk) 21:31, 26 June 2008 (UTC)
- Ok well 1) if G Hulk is lacking in intelligence then i would go with Red as it is obvious that they are a match in strength and Red has far better combat training. 2) personally im not a DC fan so im want to say Hulk but im not sure how The Incredible Hulk vs. Superman: Double Lives ended. Anyway my guess would be that Superman would find away to defeat Hulk due to his wide variety of powers. Personally id heat blast hulks brain and while hes regenerating pick him up and throw him towards the sun by the time Hulk awoke he would not be able to counter the effects of inertia and would get pulled in by the suns gravity. But thats just me lol --- Paulley (talk) 08:28, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
- Fair enough, it sounds good but where did it say Red Hulk had a limit with much the same powers as Hulk you would think he too has unlimited strength. I take it your a great fan of Hulk so sorry about mentioning this but im sure Hulk has been defeated in combat before lol. Anyway, whats with the questions? not that i mind --- Paulley (talk) 20:44, 27 June 2008 (UTC)
- The question is pointless. Simply put, the WRITER of the comic makes whoever he wants win. That said, simple physics os iin Superman's side. take away a place to stand, and hulk's strength loses it's effectiveness. ThuranX (talk) 22:38, 29 June 2008 (UTC)
- Please be aware that Wikipedia is not a forum. Read this for more :WP:FORUM. ThuranX (talk) 05:06, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
- Red hulk would win. The Green hulk has had alot to deal with lately. The Red hulk seems more determined. He knows what he wants and how to address the Green Hulk (like someone so much lower than him). Sorry for the late reply. Also, I only just read the issue, and have been lacking on the Comic buying front lately, but is Samson the Red Hulk??? Nice to hear from you 2 Knockout. Savre (talk) 23:19, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

I'm new to Wikipedia, so my main page isn't that cool, but I’m getting there. You're welcome to come check it out. Peace.--Watchout4snakes! (talk) 22:25, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Christian Music
[edit]I Know you like christian music, (So do I) but what are you listening to? Do you have any favorite christian artists? I would like to know some. If you could write em' on my talk page that be tight! Thanks. entertainU (talk) 20:46, 26 July 2008 (UTC)
RE: Christian Music
[edit]tobyMac is also my favorite artist of all time. I have all of his albums! My favorite songs of his are Ignition (off of Alive and Transported), Boomin (Portable Sounds), Extreme Days (alive & Transported), Yours (Momentum), and Made to love (Portable Sounds). And I also am a big dcTalk fan too (gotta love the classics). I also think Jeremy Camp is cool: Tonight, Give you Glory, This man. Hawk Nelson and Newsboys are okay, I listen to em' frequently. I have newsboys posters on walls in my room. Thanks! entertainU (talk) 02:24, 27 July 2008 (UTC)

[edit]Congrats on your CD that sounds way tight! If i ever come across your music, i'll be sure to listen to it. I'm not sure where you can get your CD out there, though. [edit]Hey, it's me again. So you like Tobymac? Me too. Made To Love is one of my favorites song by him! And Gone, that one's cool, too. I was surprised to see how many of my favorite songs are done by Casting Crowns. I love the Newsboys and I have The Show by Hawk Nelson and i like it. It seems to me that you have pretty good taste in music. Take care..--Watchout4snakes! (talk) 17:33, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
T vs. RH
[edit]Lol, that's Loeb for you! -- Paulley (talk) 05:47, 15 August 2008 (UTC)
- Jeph Loeb is the guy who writes it... and he decided to mess up all the work that has been done on the return of Thor. Loeb is known for messing up all continuity and writing poor stories, ala The Ultimates 3.. and worse of all Marvel let him do it. Thor lost cus Loeb wanted to write horrible stories and put over Red Hulk. -- Paulley (talk)

Section length, Book titles, et al.
[edit]Hi. Can you read this section and then offer your opinion on the points raised, specifically the issue of titles in the FCB, length and detail of given sections, what constitutes “fannishness”, etc.? Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 14:36, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
Bills
[edit]Sorry for the belated reply. Yes, I'm kind of disappointed by how this season has turned out for Buffalo. The Browns game was a huge lost opportunity, IMO. Not only the inept execution, and inability to hold a lead, but some of the stupid little things, like the Kamika Mitchell incident, really annoyed me. The catastrophic injuries haven't helped either.
Ruthfulbarbarity (talk) 22:15, 23 November 2008 (UTC)
Bills (cont.)
[edit]Yeah, I think the T.O. trade may be more of a publicity stunt than anything else. Try to entice the fans in Buffalo to turn out for their hometown team before they move across the border. Owens could have another good year in him though, you never know. Most wideouts see their career peak before 36. Ruthfulbarbarity (talk) 22:24, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
I was rooting for a halfway decent game. It was a great fourth quarter, but not a great Super Bowl. I don't see why people compared it to the Giants-Patriots, which was epic. I'm pretty tired of Pittsburgh winning NFL championships too. Ruthfulbarbarity (talk) 02:40, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
Answer
[edit]Sorry for late reply. I think your choices are about right, though id like to think Silver Surfer/Terrax to be a close battle. I hear they are renumbering Hulk soon to #600 like they have with a few other titles. --- Paulley (talk) 17:18, 22 April 2009 (UTC)
- Umm by WWH, i take it you mean an intelligent yet extremely angry Hulk.. so i goes he'd beat him pretty badly.. more so if he though Red Hulk killed his wife and destroyed his planet.
- Loebs work at Marvel recently has been horrible, his stories have been terribly stupid and completely pointless, and dont even get me started on what he is doing to the Ultimate Universe. However, his earlier work, like Batman: Hush and the Marvel colour books (Spider-Man Blue, Daredevil Yellow etc) were good.. so i kinda have hopes for Captain America White. In a battle Smart Hulk/Rulk depends on the situation but Rulk being willing to fight dirty and having combat training could but him at an advantage over a muscle bound banner. As a character, Hulk is always gonna be far better the Rulk because he has history, meaning and a mythology that Rulk is unlikely ever to attain. --- 06:39, 28 April 2009 (UTC)

[edit]I made several edits to The Expendables article. I think it will be awesome if it's R-rated, although if it is rated PG-13 I think I will pretend that it does not exist. I don't think there is an Arnold Schwarzenegger userbox although there are several Terminator userboxes, I see you already have one on your userpage. Do you mind if I ask why you asked me these things. The Editor 155 (talk) 17:26, 21 July 2009 (UTC)

[edit]You know, we're not really supposed to talk about stuff like this on Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a forum. I will, however, awnser your questions. My favorite action hero of all time is Ray Stevenson and Arnold Schwarzenegger's cameo in The Expendables will kick-butt.The Editor 155 (talk) 18:29, 27 July 2009 (UTC)
I would like Arnold Schwarzenegger to play a character who really kicks some butt. The Editor 155 (talk) 17:41, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

Question
[edit]Hey buddy, what's up? I was wondering if I could get your opinion on something...if you've noticed, there are a lot of pro-evolutionary articles on Wikipedia that state it as if it were fact.
