New (Jan)

I´ve been active on Wikipedia for more than 3 years now and have worked on WP:NETH and WP:DEORPHAN, acquiring experience with PROD and AfD. I have created articles mainly on the Dutch Wikipedia but also on the english and spanish sites. I am convinced Wikipedia is a very important tool for research and source of information. I would like to do more to maintain Wikipedia and I would like to help others to start writing articles. I made a first (for now) unsuccessful attempt to become a New Page Reviewer and I hope that participating in the AfC process will be my next step to become a better Wikipedian. I think I meet the criteria, and would like to help review new pages in AfC. I've had experience going through the AfC process, with drafts both denied (for notability) and accepted (notable acceptances include Boris Sirpo and John A. Speziale). Staraction (talk) 01:47, 8 January 2024 (UTC)
Not done, fails minimum criteria. Primefac (talk) 08:38, 11 January 2024 (UTC)
I have good AfD participation and vandalism experience. I'd love to start to lighten the load for AfC reviewers. I took a glance at the recent AfC requests, did some cleanup editing on them, but a lot of them have problems that I think will be important to point out for those who submit the drafts. Thank you in advance for your consideration! TLA (talk) 11:53, 14 January 2024 (UTC)
Not done, fails minimum criteria. Primefac (talk) 13:09, 14 January 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for the review. So, to clarify, the 500 edit requirement needs to be on mainspace articles?
I think it may be a bit early indeed for this, so I'll continue editing for a bit and re-apply. TLA (talk) 19:55, 14 January 2024 (UTC)
Correct, 500 mainspace edits. LittlePuppers (talk) 20:00, 14 January 2024 (UTC)
Re-applying, as have 500+ mainspace edits. Per the above, and I'm frankly a little bit disappointed with the amount of questionable / lack of references here (many editors aren't super aware of the obscure paid markings, see this) so a chunk of my editing career so far has been dedicated to that. AfC is definitely a process that would really help with this notability policy. TLA (talk) 05:20, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
(Non-administrator comment): I'm tla, of your 1,000 edits, over 800 have been in the last day and a half, including 50 nominations at AfD. I'm just concerned that this is a bit fast - even while making a lot of edits, time is also helpful for gaining experience. Also, out of curiosity, how are you finding so many articles to nominate so quickly?
(NB: there is also an NPR request open at PERM.) LittlePuppers (talk) 05:41, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
Hi, thanks for the comment. You're right about it being a bit fast, but I like to say I'm a fast learner and am aware of the notability requirements. I typically go through WP:WikiProject_Unreferenced_articles, look at film festivals (which have a pattern of not having WP:GNG sources), search up deprecated sources. TLA (talk) 05:51, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
Not done, again, because you do not meet the requirements. You did not meet the numerical requirements yesterday, and smashing through 500 article-space gnoming edits (so many of which are wrong or unnecessary I stopped looking) does not demonstrate that you understand the notability guidelines. Nor does voting in 161(!!) AFDs in 24 hours. At this point in time I simply don't trust that you have good intentions. Do not come back for a while. Primefac (talk) 07:34, 15 January 2024 (UTC)

Completed a one-month new page patrol trial that included AFC rights, where I contributed to several AFC decisions and worked with some authors to improve the article to a standard of notability. Authored over 100 articles and developed 6 articles to a GA standard. Historically have been involved in AfD and PROD discussions and decisions in the WP:VG project space. I'm requesting to become a participant as I sometimes come across AFC nominations when reviewing possible copyright violations over at CopyPatrol and from new users I see at UAA and reviewing when I'm already on the draft makes only sense. I'd also like to participate in backlog drives. I have read and understood the Reviewing instructions. I have a decent understanding of our notability guidelines. I have been registered on Wikipedia since 2018, have participated in a number of AfDs historically. I have created and contributed to a number of articles I consider good quality so I am familiar with how to properly source & reference articles. I am very familiar with notability guidlines, including special ones for people, organisations and etc.
As of today, I have hit 509+ live edits.
I have reviewed new pages and nominated bad ones for speedy deletion in the past. I would like to take a kind approach AfCs to help new users become valuable contributors for articles that have potential but are missing certain qualities needed to be on Wikipedia. Hello, editors! My first article, Rimini Fiera (B-class), went through the AfC process. From this experience, I'm keen to review submitted drafts to help reduce the backlog, and also find some new and interesting articles and topic areas. Finally, as my userpage shows, I'm a keen if niche content expander with a track record of writing B-class entries, and I have a small but good record in AfD discussions (stats). Thank you for your consideration! IgnatiusofLondon (talk) 22:54, 7 February 2024 (UTC)

I would like to have this user right as it seems a good way to help the encyclopedia. I have 12000+ edits, have been active for about a year, and successfully submitted 5 articles to AfC with no rejections. Would like to review Articles for Creation. I am confident that I am familiar enough with Wikipedia policy to do so. Professor Penguino (talk) 10:46, 2 February 2024 (UTC)
Not done for now. I am a little concerned that at the moment you appear to have more declined drafts than accepted ones. If this changes please feel free to re-apply, as I believe people who have been through the process will have a good understanding of what is needed in an acceptable draft. Primefac (talk) 14:09, 6 February 2024 (UTC)
I believe that reviewing draft articles is an important part of Wikipedia, therefore, I am making this request. I have familiarized myself with a lot of policies and guidelines and have read the criteria and reviewing instructions. UserMemer (chat) Tribs 16:43, 4 February 2024 (UTC)

Hi there, I would like to help out at AfC. I believe I have a decent understanding of our core policies, such as WP:RS, WP:V, WP:N, and WP:CV, to mention a few, as a content creator here. Since my last request, I've created 17 articles (including 10 BLPs), none if which are deleted, and have maintained strong AfD records and refrained from gnoming, well surpassing the edit criteria. Would be happy to chip away the backlog. TLA (talk) 09:18, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
(Non-administrator comment) After reading this, I don’t think you have enough experience. You've been advised to take your time, but it looks like you are still rushing through things. – DreamRimmer (talk) 17:59, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
Thanks for raising that, but there were a few valid concerns with the user, at least from what I think. Also, I feel like that is more of an issue RE: NPP? TLA (talk) 21:09, 16 February 2024 (UTC)
DreamRimmer, are you interpreting that ANI thread as an issue with TLA's knowledge of the deletion policy? (please do not ping on reply) Primefac (talk) 16:56, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
@I'm tla now that the ANI discussion is closed, can you explain why your actions were incorrect along with you moving Civil Service lifeboats (i.e. User talk:I'm tla#The Lifeboat Fund)? Please also verify you have read WP:AFCR. I agree with @DreamRimmer you tend you rush into things without understanding guidelines/the situation so slow down (i.e. read more, ask questions, tread carefully) but I think you are here in AGF. S0091 (talk) 19:02, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
While the ANI article in question was blank, per WP:NPPHOUR, I should have allowed the creator at least an hour to prepare the article. This also applied to Civil Service lifeboats, which I rushed as well. Originally the lede was "The Lifeboat Fund is...." so I thought it would be an uncontroversial page move. So now I know for sure to give time for articles that look fine before any major changes; just helping with categories and some little formatting errors. So while I believe I have strong knowledge of notability requirements, it seems I have some issues with some of the guidelines regarding NPP. This is why I decided to sign up for WP:NPPSCHOOL.
Overall, I'm probably a little too WP:BOLD. But simultaneously, I think tackling these more complicated situations and being non-WP:GNOME gives me a lot more to learn as I plan to edit Wikipedia long-term. I've also begun to spend more time at teahouse asking questions.
AfC, in my opinion, is like NPP-lite as it deals with less things; encyclopedic terms, non-promo, and proper sourcing that supports notability, which is why I believe I was ready to work on it after spending time a month at NPP feed. And yes I have read WP:AFCR. TLA (talk) 20:38, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
@I'm tla thanks for the thoughtful response but just to clarify, the article you moved to draft was not blank. It had an infobox. Blank means literally nothing. Please also do not make any changes to a new article while someone is actively editing it, even to add categories as it creates edit conflicts for the creator. Believe me, it's frustrating to be in the middle of creating an article and loosing an edit you spent 15 minutes on because another editor added categories in the interim or some other minor edit, much less moving the page. Primefac, I don't have an issue with the standard probation period though DreamRimmer might understandably disagree. S0091 (talk) 21:22, 18 February 2024 (UTC)
The ANI thread isn’t the issue here. They have been advised many times to avoid moving any newly created article to draftspace or nominating them for deletion. However, they continue to draftify articles shortly after creation. I noticed this happening again when I saw that ANI thread. – DreamRimmer (talk) 00:49, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
I am fine with them becoming an AfC reviewer, but they should definitely respect the edit history. – DreamRimmer (talk) 00:59, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
Thanks DreamRimmer and S0091. I'll refrain from doing any major work from pages made before 2 hours or so is up. TLA (talk) 03:54, 19 February 2024 (UTC)
Actually @I'm tla, I am walking back my support given the other perm requests you've made within the same day (Autopatrol and AWB) along with the second NPP Reviewer request made on the 11th. I don't think you are hearing the "slow down" message. You were taken to ANI about you early/improper AfD closures yet in under a month you are back at it. S0091 (talk) 00:12, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
@S0091, I appreciate you caring for Wikipedia's goals in concerns about me acting too fast. But I would say that early AfD closures, don't relate in anyway to Autopatrolled, AWB, and AfC reviewing... (you're right about NPP reviewer I act too fast). None of that clouds my judgement of notability, formatting, and encyclopedic guidelines at all. TLAtlak 00:37, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
@I'm tla it goes to general competence and the ability to take on board what other experienced editors are telling you. All perms require you have gained the trust of the community which takes time. You've only been editing for about two months, have consistently been told to slow down and that some of things you are doing are out-of-process yet you barrel ahead. Primefac or another admin will make their own assessment and may find my concerns are not compelling/compelling enough. Side note - Primefac usually reviews requests on the weekend so it will likely be a few days before they respond. S0091 (talk) 16:38, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
I get it. It comes down to experience, definitely. But I hope it's worthy to consider that at the last ANI, a concern was closing AfDs before 7 days was up, which I haven't repeated since, and not marking "Non-admin closure", which I've marked consistently thanks to the XfD closer gadget. It was also suggested by other editors that I try to do more content creation, rather than just going through NPP feed and voting on AfDs, which I have carried out.
I understand that it may seem like hat collecting, but being an AfC reviewer looks like a great way to demonstrate my understanding of page creation on Wikipedia. I also often see that the backlog gets extremely big and a lot of submissions take weeks, which I can understand would be really annoying for editors waiting on their submissions' results. Same with Autopatrolled, if I remember correctly the backlog was 9K or something which is insane.
When I started article creation, I had a couple declines here and there, but I eventually turned them into acceptances (apart from the Draft:Christopher Slayton article which is ehh debatably notable, so I thought it was a sort of WP:TOOSOON case). Eventually I got comfortable making my articles in the mainspace and it seems I've been relatively successful in that. Anyway, you're right, it comes down to what Primefac assesses. Thanks. TLAtlak 17:08, 20 February 2024 (UTC)

I've largely used my 17 years of experience editing Wikipedia to make "Bold but not reckless" decisions on creating articles myself (often stubs for later expansion), primarily on topics related to spaceflight. I don't think they quite yet meet the criteria as they have 482 mainspace edits (473 non-automated) rather than 500. With that said, their last handful or so articles about video games have passed NPP review so appears they are moving in the right direction. A.C.R.O.N.Y.M. Games, a company, is tagged with issues and I agree it does not meet WP:NCORP and the use of LinkedIn is a little concerning. @MKsLifeInANutshell I think you should move A.C.R.O.N.Y.M to draft to give you time to gather better sources. I also suggest getting some CSD experience and participating in some AfD's. S0091 (talk) 18:01, 2 March 2024 (UTC)

Hello, I am a Wikipedia user that is interested in helping others improve their articles. I am an extended-confirmed user, and have over 1000 edits on here (some I have deleted). I have created many articles on Wikipedia, and am looking to help others do the same thing. I have never had any action taken against me for violating any rules, because I have not violated any. As an AfC participant, I will use my knowledge of Wikipedia and my skill to accurately, unbiasedly, and efficiently help to review articles to help make Wikipedia a better place. I am an active user and can actively check on articles and help improve them during the drafting process. Thank you for your time!

UPDATE TO APPLICATION: I have throughly reviewed Wikipedia notability guidelines, and countless other guidelines for Wikipedia, so I believe I am fit to review articles. I am fully willing to quickly answer questions from any users. Thank you.

Not done, too many deleted articles and problems at AFD. Primefac (talk) 08:00, 4 March 2024 (UTC)
The deleted articles I have deleted myself except for some, and I have not had problems with AFD, I have only had discussions with people about what is correct and what is not. I ask that you please reconsider, as I believe I am more than fit to be a reviewer. Thank you and have a good day. Antny08 (talk) 13:08, 4 March 2024 (UTC)
For further information, I have only had 6 actually articles deleted. The rest were on talk pages / deleted to clean up space, such as my request for adminship. 3 of the articles I created that have been deleted were deleted by me, either because I realized they were not notable enough, or because of a name misspell (Battle of Namka Chun). The 3 that were deleted by others, 1 of them I was able to recreate. And the final 2 that were deleted by others and I was not able to recreate, were articles I did earlier into my time as a Wikipedia editor. I have not had any "problems" at AFD unless you are considering not agreeing with others on certain decisions as problems. Any mistakes that I have made have shown me not to make those mistakes again and why, and I believe that making these mistakes has given me more knowledge than somebody who never makes any mistakes. Thank you for your time, and I once again ask that you reconsider. Antny08 (talk) 13:15, 4 March 2024 (UTC)
33% success at AFD is a problem. You are correct that the deleted pages are not a significant portion of the pages you have written overall, but I also just found the copyright violation among your deleted pages. This decline is not a "never", just a "not now". Primefac (talk) 08:33, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
That's because according to that it says I have only participated in 3 AfDs (which is incorrect). The one for the List of military engagements of World War II is wrong, I was the one who created the AfD and I wanted it to be merged. It saying that I wanted it to be deleted is an error with the system, so I should have 66% success. Although I have not participated in many AfDs directly, I have viewed countless other AfDs, so I am more familiar with the process than it shows. Antny08 (talk) 11:22, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
A 66% success rate is still very low and a recent copyright violation is an indicator that you are not yet experienced enough for this right.  Not done, please continue to gain experience with AfD and content policies rather than arguing with this decline. Spicy (talk) 14:09, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
The copyright violation was because I was basing the text on an article off of a source I was using. It does not show I am not experienced enough in any way. I realized my mistake and as I stated earlier mistakes help you learn better than not making them in the first place. I recreated the article using my own words and it still up to this day. Having only 1 AfD result turn out against the consensus is not bad. Also note the copyright violation was multiple months ago, in my earlier times on Wikipedia, it is not that recent. Please reconsider. Antny08 (talk) 14:24, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
Let me be blunt; you have had two admins tell you that you are not quite ready. I said earlier you were at a "not now". Continuing to insist that you must have access to this tool will very quickly turn that into a "never". Get some more experience, write some more articles, and come back in a couple of months. Primefac (talk) 14:31, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
Okay, I will, but I believe I do have a right to argue this decision, which I properly and respectfully did, but I will not comment any further unless asked. Have a good day. Antny08 (talk) 14:39, 5 March 2024 (UTC)
@Primefac I'm applying again after 9+ months. I'm requesting this for a probationary period of 1-3 weeks to prove my competency. Let it be. If not then how I can prove my competency and efficiency in AfC? Twinkle1990 (talk) 15:36, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
For reference see WT:WikiProject Articles for creation/Archive 53#We need to be more cautious which led to Twinkle1990 being removed. @Twinkle1990 what have you learned since that time and what would do differently? S0091 (talk) 17:02, 2 March 2024 (UTC)
@S0091 whatever I learned is simple, my old perceptions and doings were wrong. And I don't hesitate to admit that I did wrong. Twinkle1990 (talk) 08:57, 3 March 2024 (UTC)
Twinkle1990, could you elaborate a little bit on that? What did you do wrong? Primefac (talk) 08:00, 4 March 2024 (UTC)
I did wrong by rejecting a handful of AfC drafts those were eligible for acceptance. Also, I accepted one draft, which was later deleted by AfD. At that time, I also did wrong by ignoring non-English sourcing. Those were my grave mistake. I have realized it over the time. Twinkle1990 (talk) 09:18, 4 March 2024 (UTC)
@Primefac if you don't give chance for just a few (say 1-2 weeks) just deny my request. Otherwise, give me a chance to prove myself. Twinkle1990 (talk) 15:05, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
The other requests were rather straight-forward. I am still thinking about your answers above. Please be patient. Primefac (talk) 15:12, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
Well. You are free to do so. I will have no hard feelings even if I am denied.--Twinkle1990 (talk) 02:39, 12 March 2024 (UTC)

  • Experience in the quick-fail criteria review step from work on speedy deletions, vandalism patrols.
  • Experience in the notability and verifiability review step from participation in AfDs and my general editing/page creation.
  • Experience in the suitability review step through my own article creation, DYK submissions and general editing history. Jonathan Deamer (talk) 11:19, 21 March 2024 (UTC)

I have an experience with WP:AFD and reverting articles. As a participator of WikiProject Articles for creation, I have now the experience of:
  • reject/decline the draft if the draft has low on citations and no notable support between independent sources and the draft itself.
  • approve of these drafts and move them to article space if theres a connection between independent sources, affiliated sources and the draft must have a inline citations. If does the article had 1550 letters, then I slapped (means 'nominate deletion of the article) and copyright violation.
  • declining of the draft submitted because breaks the WP:GNG, WP:BIO, etc.

Requesting AfC reviewer to help out in more general areas of Wikipedia, which includes decreasing the backlog. My account is about a year old, and while I've created very few articles overall (25~), I would say I have pretty good comprehension of the notability guidelines. I have plenty of experience in AfD, having participated in it nearly as long as I've been on Wikipedia with a 62% success rate (+ more if you count merges). I also have a general idea of other notability guidelines, but I only say "general idea" because I don't write articles for, say, sports players. I would respond to questions quickly as I am very active on-wiki. λ NegativeMP1 04:41, 5 April 2024 (UTC) λ NegativeMP1 04:41, 5 April 2024 (UTC)

I've been a longtime editor with 3.5k+ edits, created (out of the 4 deleted articles 3 were self-delete) and contributed to a fair number of articles, having GA, and passed DYKs. I've participated in various WikiProjects, most notably WIR and WikiProject:Fungi. I've experience with AFDs and noticeboard discussions. For quite some time now, I'm almost regular to the wiki and if able, I hope to respond promptly to questions about my reviews. I have a good grasp of the policies and guidelines mentioned in the reviewing instructions, especially the various notability guidelines.

I'd like to help the AFC backlogs, especially with biological nomenclature articles, as I'm more often than not somewhat familiar with and passionate about these fields. X (talk) 14:14, 7 April 2024 (UTC) X (talk) 14:14, 7 April 2024 (UTC)

I would like to help move promising drafts into the mainspace and return the cruddier drafts back to their authors. Avs5221, you'll have to forgive me, but I'm not seeing any evidence you were formerly an AFC helper. When were you last active with the project? Primefac (talk) 20:04, 5 May 2024 (UTC)
No problem, it's been several years at least. If I need to reestablish a track record, I understand. I chose to take a more passive role in editing as real life got busier, but my knowledge of Wikipedia rules and policies is still pretty avs5221(talk|contrib) 05:10, 6 May 2024 (UTC)
Not done for now; you were last active in 2013, and the guidelines and policies have changed quite dramatically since then. A bit more activity, especially in areas such as XfD and CSD, will help to show that you're up-to-date on all the relevant criteria. Primefac (talk) 07:41, 7 May 2024 (UTC)

I applied because I have an account which is:
  • 90 days old (my account age is more than 11 months)
  • at least 500 undeleted edits (according to XTools I have 762 Live edits)
  • thoroughly read the reading instructions

(I read the reviewing instructions thoroughly, the notability guidelines, and the AFD guidelines)

Probation, which will be evaluated in 3-6 months. Being on probation only means that you can be removed from the list for any reason without prior discussion. Primefac (talk) 14:12, 12 May 2024 (UTC)
I've been on Wikipedia for a year and made 30k undeleted edits. As I understand the reviewing instructions, AfC is preemptive, conservative AfD: rejecting articles that would very likely, and for good reason, be deleted at AfD. (And outside of CSD material, notability is the main such reason.) I've spent some time participating in/reading deletion discussions, as well as reviewing/applying deletion and notability policy, and I think I have a decent grasp of these.
I want to participate because it's discouraging for a new editor to have their draft sit in pending for months. Keeping the AfC process running smoothly and correctly isn't just about the articles themselves, it's also about keeping Wikipedia welcoming to newcomers without sacrificing encyclopedic standards. jlwoodwa (talk) 05:47, 15 May 2024 (UTC)

@Primefac Sorry for late reply - the article was approved by someone else so I only just noticed this after I had added a new request below. Re the copyright issue I copied a chunk from an IPCC report and paraphrased it but not enough. I think someone else on the Climate change project may have asked the IPCC why their reports are copyright. The backlog is terrible, and I would like to help. I have a great grip on MoS, GNG, and requirements for both BLP's and WP:OGCRIT.

As i've grown in my editing skills, I feel that I would make informed judgements without being unfairly heavy handed to either decline or accept submissions.

As a reviewer, I would try to submit genuine feedback to other editors, especially new users, to help them submit content that is appropriate for wikipedia and within guidelines.

I do feel i'm proficient enough to review submissions thoroughly for requirements in an efficient and timely manner.

I will treat each decline or acceptance as if I am responsible for the content reviewed, and will take full responsibility for all the decisions/judgements I make. Comintell (talk) 04:12, 3 July 2024 (UTC)

I am writing article that a review failed because it was improperly sourced (AFCH) and need to run the script to see what failed. This is an important tool that will help me in reviewing my sandbox articles. Please approve!

Oppose @Greghenderson2006 The AFCH script does not highlight inappropriate references. It will serve no purpose for you. Additionally youi are blocked indefinitely from mainspace, and thus the tool is not of the slightest use to you. It is used to aid reviewers in automating the processes of review, but not the facts of the review. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 21:06, 31 July 2024 (UTC)

Firm oppose for the reasons @Timtrent said and the prior declines. This is disruptive and not the path to have your block lessened @Greghenderson2006. Star Mississippi 01:00, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
Thank you for your input. I met no harm in requesting a helper script. It has been advertised as a Wikipedia gadget to help when reviewing articles for submission. The page WP:AFCH does not clearly say who can't use it. The reason I tried to install it a 2nd time was in reference to a recent draft article that was not accepted based on the AFCH results. Thus, it made sense to use the tool to see if it would helpful. I am sorry if it appeared to be "disruptive." Greg Henderson (talk) 01:20, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
@Greghenderson2006 Please see Wikipedia:WikiProject Articles for creation/Helper script#What can I do using AFCH? which explains what it does. Nowhere does it say that it does what you thought it might do. "...need to run the script to see what failed" is patently not available.
We do not require notices at every point in our lives saying what can and cannot be done. This tool is of no use to you. I suggest you remove becoming an AFC reviewer from your wish list indefinitely. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 06:51, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
Oppose - [non-admin comment] This editor is partially blocked for poor sourcing including misrepresenting sources, close paraphrasing, UPE and other issues. They applied for ACHS on June 9 and again on July 2, now for the third time on Aug 1, which sees odd. I'd like to AGF, but it seems like it might be trying to game the system. Yes, lets Wikipedia:Assume good faith. That is always a better option that repeat someone's past mistakes. I am really a good person trying my best to create good articles! Greg Henderson (talk) 14:50, 1 August 2024 (UTC)
@Greghenderson2006 We know you to be a decent person, Greg. I believe everyone tries their best to help you to put past errors behind you. The difficulty faced by other editors here happens when you ask for something three times in close succession that has been denied to you twice already, and when the denial is because the item you asked for was inappropriate in the first place. Please try very hard always to use the good judgement you exhibit for a very great deal of the time. I doubt than anyone opposes your rehabilitation. I know I do not. You cannot measure the high volume of good faith directed towards you, not the strong desire for you to succeed and put this recent past behind you. 🇺🇦 FiddleTimtrent FaddleTalk to me 🇺🇦 16:45, 1 August 2024 (UTC)

  • Greghenderson2006, you do not seem to understand what this permission is for. It simply allows users to accept or decline drafts. It would not be of any use to you in improving your own draft articles - there is no part of the script that would allow you "to see what failed". Please do not request this permission again as you do not qualify for it and have no use for it.  Not done. Spicy (talk) 20:24, 1 August 2024 (UTC)

Not done You have had almost 25% of your article creations deleted. While most of these are some of your "earlier" creations (i.e. 2020 and earlier), and I know that consensus has changed a lot even over the last four years (i.e. I am not basing this judgement only on that deletion rate), but the lack of participation at the related AFDs and CSDs makes me concerned. In other words I'm seeing some reasonable page creation but no indication of experience on the other side of the coin (i.e. deletion-related activity) to indicate you know what is good/bad when it comes to reviewing new content. Primefac (talk) 20:14, 4 August 2024 (UTC)
Re-applying as I spent more time in the AfD as you guys said, I want to help with the backlog, Note, for some reason my AfD stats are not updating and some of my "Draftiy" votes are not counting. (might be because I mispelt it haha) Also even after getting this, I'll still monitor AfD, it's quite fun analyzing AfDs. Warm Regards, Miminity (talk) (contribs) 00:40, 5 August 2024 (UTC)

What do you exactly mean by that. As of 8 August, I've been here for three months, I've made over 1000 edits in total, and I've read all the reviewing instructions. OhHaiMark (talk) 15:07, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
1000 edits is not one of the criteria. Primefac (talk) 17:37, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
The criteria are:
  • a Wikipedia account at least 90 days old. (mine's is over 3 months old)
  • a minimum of 500 undeleted edits to articles (this is not the same as total number of edits). (I have over 1000 undeleted edits, so I'm not sure why you said that edit count doesn't matter)
  • read and understood the reviewing instructions. (I did that)
  • a demonstrated understanding of the policies and guidelines mentioned in the reviewing instructions, including the various notability guidelines. (I did that)
  • evidence of understanding the deletion policy (experience in areas such as CSD/AfD/PROD or page curation, while not mandatory, are beneficial). (I did that)
  • a willingness and ability to respond in a timely manner to questions about their reviews. (I will do that)
In conclusion, I'm really not sure which criteria I failed at. OhHaiMark (talk) 21:45, 18 August 2024 (UTC)
You have 486 undeleted edits to articles. Primefac (talk) 00:48, 19 August 2024 (UTC)

I'm here after going way in over my head several weeks ago by applying for NPP rights, which probably wasn't the greatest idea. The reason I'm applying is to help out with reviewing of AfC pages and to just help out overall and gain experience. I have 9.1k contributions, an 83% AfD match rate among 111-or-so votes (I started ramping up my AfD votes after the NPP application, since that was the main issue highlighted), and experience interacting with new editors and at AIV. I believe I have applied (and been denied) before, although that was several months ago, and a lot has changed since then. Before I re-apply at NPP, I want to start small and help out here.
