Wikipedia:Requests for undeletion

This page is NOT for challenging the outcome of deletion discussions or to address the pending deletion of any page.

Requests for undeletion is a process intended to assist users in two cases. The first case is restoring pages or files that were uncontroversially deleted via proposed deletion, under certain speedy deletion criteria (such as maintenance deletions (G6) or stale Articles for creation drafts (G13)), or in deletion debates with little or no participation other than the nominator. In the second use case, this page is also intended to serve as a central location to request that deleted content be "userfied", i.e., restored as a draft or emailed to you; this way, the content can be improved upon prior to re-insertion into the mainspace, or used elsewhere (you may also make a request directly to one of the administrators listed here). Be clear as to which namespace is intended, when requesting a refund of a deleted article.

This means that content deleted after discussion – through deletion processes – may in some cases be provided to you, but such controversial page deletions will not be overturned through this process but through deletion review instead. Copyright violations and attack pages will not be provided.

Do not request that pages or media deleted under speedy deletion criteria F7, F9, F11, U5, A7, A9, A11, G3, G4, G10, G11 or G12 be undeleted here.

Hello.

On notability, has it been considered that the subject was elected an Associate Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics in 1995. And that he is Director of the New Jersey Space Grant Consortium, which is funded by NASA. This latter is not a normal grant, but a very competitive Federal selection. Plus two single-author textbooks. (Would it help approval if I dug up citations to these books and his articles on Scopus?)

I also find it confusing that a university's website appears to be considered a primary source. Is that Wikipedia's policy? My experience with universities is that they will not put anything up on their website without vetting it. Trying to understand.

You suggested that I "continue to work on the draft". I tried to make some edits, but could not "Publish" the results. Could you kindly explain how to correct and update the Draft, without attempting to "Publish" it? Or is that what needs to be done?

My page was accidentally submitted for review before it was finished and before I could get it back from this under-review status RandyKitty had deleted it within 5 minutes and now I can no longer find it or continue editing and all the content has been deleted, wrongfully I believe. I think that RandyKitty would not have even had a chance to read the whole page before deleting it and realizing it was unfinished, if she cared. I would like to the page to be userfied, or undeleted, or even the content to be emailed to me so I can finish creating and editing the page and will not make the same mistake of accidentally submitting it for review whilst unfinished.
