Craig Cackowski is an American actor and improvisation comedian best known for his roles on Drunk History and Community.
Career
[edit]Cackowski was raised in Virginia and attended the College of William and Mary, where he earned a B.A. in theater.[1][2] He began doing improv comedy professionally in 1992, studying with Del Close and Charna Halpern and gaining experience at the ImprovOlympic, the iO West, and The Second City. He performs frequently as part of the three-man troupe Dasariski (with Bob Dassie and Rich Talarico) and the duo Orange Tuxedo (with his wife Carla Cackowski).
As an actor, he has more than 60 credits, including extended runs on Community (as Officer Cackowski), Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ (as Todd the janitor), and Veep (as personal assistant Cliff). He was a member of the ensemble cast of Drunk History for its entire run, appearing in 70 of its 72 episodes in a wide variety of roles. He has also appeared in Arrested Development, Curb Your Enthusiasm, How I Met Your Mother, Girlboss, Comedy Bang Bang, and The Mindy Project.[3]
Personal life
[edit]Cackowski is the brother of Liz Cackowski, a comedy writer and actress. He is married to comedy writer Carla Cackowski.[4]
