2024 WTA Finals

[edit]

Hello, my apologies for being wrong about the WTA 1000s best 6 of 7 format. I thought that Beijing would go with the rest of the WTA 1000s because it's the same situation as with Dubai (both are WTA 1000 and ATP 500), but I know now that it is not the case. So I had this idea of putting all seven WTA 1000s and naming that section 'Combined WTA 1000' with the option of one tournament result being replaced with one from Best other, hence narrowing the Best other section from 7 to 6 tournaments because 7th would be shown as a replacement for the worst combined WTA 1000 tournament which player doesn't count. It should be, of course, noted somewhere (bellow or above table) about that, and that replaced result would be written in italics and wouldn't be coloured. I would consider that change very important because visually it's much easier if you see results in columns belonging to each tournament than to check for every single result of a player what tournament it is. Thank you in advance. Xperiaray610 (talk) 02:36, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I would strongly against that. That is just purely sacrificing the clarity of how the ranking points are consisted of for the sake of so-called aesthetics. Unnamelessness (talk) 12:27, 24 July 2024 (UTC)[reply]
