Technique

[edit]
Double exposure photos example

On top of using traditional analogue photography technique, Alexandra is using for most of her work double exposition, without any automated adjustment, to bring in light contrasts between different subjects:

  • Environmentalism
  • Urbanization
  • Society

In these fantasy photographies, she plays with contrast of the everyday life. Nature get mixed with buildings, modernity with old-school, industrialisation with ecologie and even the rich with the poor. These oneirics worlds bring the spectator on the reflection of his world.[1]

« I'm working like some kind of social researcher. I'm looking for contradictions in the society by drawing attention to the contrast of the daily life. The main idea is to combine two subjects in conflict and create a mix that will bring on social reflection to people »[1]
