Page mover granted
Hello, Significa liberdade. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect, move subpages when moving the parent page(s), and move category pages.
Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving a redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect
is used. This can be done using Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status can be revoked.
Useful links:
- Wikipedia:Requested moves
- Category:Requested moves, for article renaming requests awaiting action.
If you do not want the page mover right anymore, just let me know, and I'll remove it. Thank you, and happy editing! Hey man im josh (talk) 13:41, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
Hi, orphaned Francis Paul Walters page
Hi, You marked this page as orphaned https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Francis_Paul_Walters
As of now at least one page links to it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anne-Marie_Walters
More will be incoming. 113xSec (talk) 19:59, 7 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know, 113xSec! In the future, if a page has an orphan tag and you are able to link a page to it, you can remove the orphan tag. :) Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 01:23, 8 November 2023 (UTC)
Recognizing reverse copyvios and copying within Wikipedia
Hi,
I've declined several revel, and G12 requests from you recently because either the external website has copied from Wikipedia, or the material was copied from within Wikipedia. Here are some suggestions on how you can recognize these situations:
- Check the article history for comments indicating that the material was copied. The phrase "copied content from" or something similar often appears as an edit summary to provide attribution for the copying.
- Check the article talk page for notes indicating copying. The template {{Copied}} is often used for this purpose.
- Check the source site for attribution to Wikipedia. Our license requires that for reuse and web sites that adhere to the license will provide the attribution.
- Web sites that copy from Wikipedia without attribution will sometimes have "wiki" in the URL path.
- Generic celebrity bio sites often scrape web content including Wikipedia. A few random searches for other celebrity bios can often make it clear that Wikipedia s being copied.
Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 14:55, 8 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for letting me know, Whpq. I'll make sure to do more double-checks on all of this moving forward. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 16:13, 8 November 2023 (UTC)

- No worries, @Egeymi! If you notice an error the future and want to inform the editor, I recommend
- Make sure to double check the page history to check if the error is, in fact, an error. In this case, the bare URL tag was appropriate at the time it was placed; it just hadn't been updated.
- Double check the page history to see who made the error.
- Provide enough context in your talk page message so the editor can quickly and easily respond and/or resolve the issue.

Draft of Outside the Magic Circle
Hi there - At first, I was of course frustrated to find Draft:Outside_the_Magic_Circle not accepted, but now that I'm looking into it further, I see ways to improve it a lot, as well as hopefully add enough secondary sources. Thanks for the clear explanation of the reason for rejection. I will try it again in a few days when I've managed to add the new references. Thanks. Harborsparrow (talk) 17:13, 12 November 2023 (UTC)
- Glad to have helped, Harborsparrow! I completely understand how frustrating it can be to have your article declined, but I'm happy to have helped you understand so you can improve the article enough for it to be shared with the world! Draft:Cyrtonaias tampicoensis
You are being overly eager in jumping in with your AfC review - noting that I am currently working on a significant overview of the draft (and have tagged it as such). Dan arndt (talk) 04:36, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, Dan arndt! The article was submitted for review and thus, will be reviewed by an AfC reviewer. The {{Under construction}} tag is reserved for articles published in the main space. As you may have noticed, the tag was previously removed. In the draft space, users are expected to be working on their articles until they submit them for review -- at which point, an AfC reviewer will review it. Submission Declined
Hello! I saw that you declined my submission for Christopher Del Borrello. You stated that "This submission's references do not show that the subject qualifies for a Wikipedia article." What should I do to be able to find more / better sources? Thank you! Antny08 (talk) 00:54, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, Antny08! Thanks for reaching out! As I noted on the draft, it needs more secondary sources with significant coverage of Del Borrello. At present, the article relies heavily on primary sources, which do not indicate whether the subject is notable enough to earn their own Wikipedia page. To better understand how to improve the article, I would recommend reviewing Wikipedia's general notability guidelines, as well as the notability guidelines for politicians. I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any further questions. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 01:05, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, I added 5 more secondary sources to my article, yet it was still declined. I have seen other people with less sources than mine, how many am i supposed to have? Antny08 (talk) 10:51, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Antny08: It is not the quantity of sources, but the quality. If a source merely mentions Del Borrello in passing, but is not an article that is fully about him, it does not count as significant coverage. Most of the articles you have cited are about the race in general, but not about Del Borrello in particular. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:35, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for the feedback. I submitted my article again, but if it is still declined, I will look for better sources when I am home. Antny08 (talk) 16:55, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- Oh, I see it was already declined lol. Yeah, so I will look for better sources when I have the chance! Antny08 (talk) 16:56, 14 November 2023 (UTC)
- Hello, I just added 3 secondary articles that are fully about Chris Del Borrello. I will not submit it yet until I can find at least one more, but I just wanted to know if there are any citations you think I should remove? Or should I keep everything? Thanks!! Antny08 (talk) 17:21, 14 November 2023 (UTC)

A7 on drafts
Hi Significa liberdade -- You can't use A7 outside articles (that is what the A means). Deleting drafts purely for notability generally goes against policy and would need consensus at an MfD, which isn't usually obtained. Regards, Espresso Addict (talk) 02:44, 16 November 2023 (UTC)

Your draft article, Draft:Garrett Leigh
Hello, Significa liberdade. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Garrett Leigh".
In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been deleted. When you plan on working on it further and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Draft:2023 NAIA Cross Country Championships
Can you please explain why the uploaded article was declined when there are 100+ national championship meet result pages that have been approved that have the same references or even less? Examples:
2023 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships - Wikipedia
2022 NAIA Cross Country Championships - Wikipedia
I don't know what type of source is needed since it follows the same pattern as all other similar approved pages. CooperRiverRunner (talk) 21:28, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, CooperRiverRunner! Thank you for reaching out with your concern. I know it can be frustrating to have your article rejected, especially when many "worse" articles are already published to Wikipedia. When creating articles through Articles for Creation (AfC), the article needs to meet a certain standard to be approved. However, users with more experience often skip AfC, so the article doesn't receive the same scrutiny. However, that doesn't mean those other articles are good articles; they may end up receiving maintenance tags indicating that they need to be improved, or they may end up being deleted. The goal of AfC is to help newer users learn how to create good articles so that Wikipedia is a more valuable resource. Does that make sense? That said, to improve the article, I recommend adding WP:RELIABLE, secondary sources. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 21:34, 17 November 2023 (UTC)
- I added two additional sources to the article and also added two additional to 2022 NAIA Cross Country Championships - Wikipedia. CooperRiverRunner (talk) 02:18, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
- Those sources definitely help, CooperRiverRunner! Can you find any secondary sources that discuss the subject? Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 02:38, 18 November 2023 (UTC)

Rosicky's page
I don't understand why you did not accept Rosicky's page. The sources are the nlab, a wiki page specific to mathematics, and journal articles written by experts. Why are these sources considered primary? If you look at other pages of prominent mathematicians, the sources are similar.... This decision does not seem fair. Catsloverz (talk) 18:41, 20 November 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, Catsloverz! Thanks for reaching out to me about Draft:Jiří Rosický (mathematician). I know it can be frustrating when your draft is declined, especially when you see similar articles published on Wikipedia. A few things may be happening here:
- The other articles may not be good articles! Unfortunately, Wikipedia has many thousands of poor quality articles that should be improved or deleted, and no one has gotten around to them yet. Drafts that are of similar quality may be declined because we don't want to be adding more poor quality articles to the project. If you see poor quality existing articles, I would encourage you to improve them or nominate for deletion.
- The other articles may have better sources. Articles should be supported by reliable, secondary sources that provide significant coverage of the subject. As I noted on your draft, two of the sources on the page are unreliable as they are both user-generated and not fact checked. The third source is one of Rosický's own publications, making it a primary source.
- The other academics may meet specific notability guidelines that Rosický does not (according to the page). To make sure Rosický is notable enough to have a Wikipedia article, please see Wikipedia's notability guidelines for academics.
- I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further questions. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 22:32, 20 November 2023 (UTC)

- Hi, @Salandarianflag! Thanks for contacting me about this issue. At this point, I'm curious if some of the initial edit warring regarding the attendance was due to sources initially not being sure of the true number of people in attendance. Based on reliable sources, 50,000 to over 100,000 people were in attendance, which I've have written on the page using those sources. If edit warring brings the number back down, please let me know, and I can look into having the page protected. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 17:18, 28 November 2023 (UTC)

Speedy deletion declined: Rei Zulu
Hello Significa liberdade. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Rei Zulu, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: @PootisHeavy, Significa liberdade, Crisco 1492, Jeffrd10, and A. B.: I have reviewed the content of the article deleted after the 2014 Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Rei Zulu deletion discussion, and it would appear to me that it is not " substantially identical to the deleted version, and any changes do not address the reasons for which the material was deleted". This not to say that the 2023 version of the article has problems, but it would appear not to be a WP:G4 candidate. Shirt58 (talk) 🦘 09:46, 2 December 2023 (UTC) . Thank you. Red Charcoal
Hi I disagree with your attempt to delete the Red Charcoal/Caroline Karason page. Please see my reasons on the Red Charcoal talk page. SilhouetteCastle (talk) 22:03, 5 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hi
- I have seen your response at 23:05 and I have seen that the reason has changed from G12 to A7.
- I wrote the page and (also the IMDB page) and the reason why Red Charcoal/Caroline Karason is notable is because the invention that she was not credited for by Reckitt Benckiser while working on Veet was later cited twice in two patents for the treatment of Cancer. Once in 2019 and again in 2021, 9 and 11 years after Caroline Karason invented the product.

- Hi, SilhouetteCastle! I removed the A7 deletion. To help the page, it would be beneficial to add these references to it to show that Karason meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines for people. Additionally, it may be helpful to other editors to continue this conversation on the Red Charcoal talk page. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 00:37, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you, but while I was adding these references the article was prematurely deleted. SilhouetteCastle (talk) 10:23, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, SilhouetteCastle-- Thank you for your response. Please note that while these sources may verify the information on the page, they do not establish notability. As mentioned in the Articles for Deletion discussion, the article needs reliable, secondary sources to indicate notability. As an academic, I know this can be counter-intuitive as we are often looking for primary sources to verify information. However, to determine notability, the sources must be secondary. This helps indicate whether a subject should have their own Wikipedia page. I recommend checking out Wikipedia's notability guidelines for academics and musicians. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 16:22, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @Significa liberdade
- I think the whole thing was unfairly done. The key question in this entire discussion now is why @Whpq did not disagree that 'Red Charcoal' was notable and backed by a reliable sources but believes that 'Caroline Karason' is not when they are the same person and the same reliable sources where used. SilhouetteCastle (talk) 15:38, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- And I think being blocked for pointing out this type of unreasonableness shows what kind of discussion it really is. SilhouetteCastle (talk) 16:38, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, SilhouetteCastle-- Thank you for pointing out your concerns. From what I can tell, there is no evidence that Whpq believed Red Charcoal was notable. In order for a page to exist on Wikipedia, it must align with various guidelines and policies. In this case, the Red Charcoal page had significant copyright issues and was deleted for this reason. If a page is going to be deleted for copyright violations, there is no reason to double-check that the subject is also notable. Similarly, I removed the A7 deletion because I felt that using both G12 and A7 was overkill. If the page passed G12, I would have returned to double-check the notability. I also gave you a heads up that if the page was not deleted for copyright violations, it would need additional sources to indicate whether the subject is notable. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 16:47, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- I disagree and I do not need to go back and forth. If you go to the discussion you will see that @Whpq only had an issue with G12 and nothing else. You had an issue with A7 and then took it down. When I made the final edit it did not resemble and other published article and had the inclusions of the links that you suggested to add. At the point the article was completely free from both G12 and A7 and soon as I hit the publish button it said that there was no longer a 'Red Charcoal' page. There is eveidence that @Whpq had no issue with 'Red Charcoal' notability, they only said that they had an issue with copyright only. So that means that 'Red Charcoal' had not 'notability' issue but 'Caroline Karason' does which to me is bizarre and unreasonable. SilhouetteCastle (talk) 17:15, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- @SilhouetteCastle, @Whpq did not comment on Red Charcoal's notability. It had to be immediately deleted because of the copyright violation. Not commenting on notability is not the same as saying the subject is notable. As @Yamla put it on your talk page continuing with this behavior (meaning you misrepresenting others comments and accusing others of malicious intent) will only result in an indefinite block for you. I'm kindly asking you to take a step back. Philipnelson99 (talk) 17:21, 6 December 2023 (UTC)
- @SilhouetteCastle -- Rather than arguing that others have a personal vendetta against you, it would be beneficial to consider why multiple editors have indicated that the article doesn't meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. This would involve clicking the blue link provided and learning what notability means on Wikipedia. Then, prove that Karason meets those guidelines. Carrignacurra Castle page
Hi Significa liberdade,
I salute your Wikipedia knowledge! You seem very experienced at this game.
I am writing about the Carrignacurra Castle page which after years of minor additions, is my first new detailed Wikipedia page! I have noticed that the page has acquired a notice of a flag, as follows: "This article contains close paraphrasing of a non-free copyrighted source."
I have since re-edited the text multiple times, and it now is no longer considered a 'close paraphrase' by the bot that ran the comparison. I do not know how to remove this flag, which appears twice on the page. Can you please remove it for me?

Uluomato'otua Aiono page
Hi Significa liberdade, I have seen your edit on my article, thank you for your contribution. Could you please let me know what you think could be changed to make the article more neutral? Hs17127 (talk) 21:19, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, Hs17127! Thanks for reaching out! I think many aspects of the Uluomato'otua Aiono article are in great shape. My biggest recommendation is to refrain from "storying" Aiono's biography. That is, throughout the article, you shouldn't be trying to persuade the reader of anything. Instead, you should provide facts about Aiono's life. One example I would consider "storying" is the following sentence: "Ulu led a life from humble beginnings and his journey from an immigrant child to a millionaire has continued to influence the younger generation". This sentence simultaneously attempts to create a narrative of Aiono's life experiences and makes specific claims that tell the reader how they should interpret information. Does that make sense? Let me know if you'd like more specific input. I would also recommend checking out Wikipedia:Neutral point of view, which breaks down why Wikipedia uses a neutral POV and how to address POV concerns. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 21:29, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for clearing that up! I'm still starting out on here so it's always great to get some advice from other Wiki users. I'll go through and make some changes where I can. I appreciate the help! Hs17127 (talk) 22:17, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
Draft:Artistic swimming at the 2024 Summer Olympics – Women's duet submission declined
Hi Significa liberdade, I have seen your decline to my draft of the duet artistic swimming at the 2024 summer olympics wikipedia page and the comments about it. First of all thank you for your comments but I have some questions on how to correct it so it can be passed as an official wikipedia article. Regarding my sources I used the official FINA and Olympics rulebooks and news regarding to the topic and cited them at the end of the article. However at the correction it says the article does not have any reliable sources. I understand that I may have used direct sources from the entities that organize the event but there is not a lot of information regarding such a specific topic in independent sources (Specifically on the competition format as the rules are only stated in multiple FINA rulebooks and appendix to them). Also, the same sources have been used in other Artistic swimming wikipedia articles and there have not been any problems about them. So, what can I do to improve the reliability of my sources and make my article more neutral? As I do not want to indirectly promote the event with my sources, just inform about it.
Additionally, you talked about it being too soon to publish an article over the topic. However the same type of article but for the 2020 Tokyo olympics was created 1 year before the original date of the competition. We are 7 months away from this competition and I have a project to do multiple specific olympics events for Paris 2024 in the following months. So if not now when should this article be published?
Finally, I thank you for reading the article and verify the sources as well as doing comments about it. Im still an starter in Wikipedia and learning about this world so I really esteem all your contributions.
Pololos29 (talk) 01:11, 14 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, Pololos29! Thank you for reaching out with your questions, which I'll address below:
- The establish the notability of a subject according to Wikipedia's guidelines, an article needs to have sources that are reliable and independent and provide significant coverage of the topic. In this case, you have provided sources that are reliable and provide significant coverage. However, they are not independent from the subject, so they can't establish the subject's notability.
- That said, this event will obviously be notable at some point. As you said, though, there are not currently independent sources because it is too soon. I do not know if it's possible for this article to pass yet unless reliable, independent sources are found. As such, you might just have to wait.
- As you said, other articles on Wikipedia may exist without properly establishing notability. This doesn't mean these articles are any better than yours. Unfortunately, many bad articles exist on Wikipedia, and we depend on editors to either improve them or recommend they be deleted. In this case, editors may choose to overlook articles about upcoming events or add specific maintenance tags to them to inform readers that the article may not meet Wikipedia's standards.
- All that said, I'm curious about the project you said you're working on in which you have to create multiple articles related to the 2024 Olympics. Could you provide more information about this? Perhaps I can figure out a way to help without necessarily bypassing the existing systems. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 01:36, 14 December 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for your answers! I added two independent sources, tho for the rules im still having the FINA as they are the ones that regule them.
- My project is to do the different specific events wikipedia pages of at least 30 sport events in the Paris 2024 olympic games. I have already made this one and the open team event at artistic swimming too (Which is currently under draft review). Currently working in the men 3x3 olympic event. I want to do it just because im really interested in the olympics and in the past with other accounts I contributed in multiple sport wikipedia pages (Mainly the NBA ones). I appreciate your interest a lot!! Pololos29 (talk) 02:15, 14 December 2023 (UTC)

Under-representation of high schools of the developing world
Thanks for reviewing my list submission. Please compare Draft:List_of_high_schools_in_Hatay vs. List of high schools in New Hampshire. I picked these two because the two regions have approximately the same population, around 1.5 million. The first list has zero articles on Wikipedia whereas the second has dozens. Now the list itself has been deleted. Would really appreciate to hear your opinion if you believe this is indeed a problem that some editors can try to mitigate, or not. Really appreciate your response. Gorkem80 (talk) 18:10, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- Hi, Gorkem80! I really appreciate and understand your concern. Although I am not familiar specifically with pages created for schools, I do a lot of work creating and expanding pages for under-represented groups here on Wikipedia. I also volunteer to help ensure that the articles on Wikipedia follow certain guidelines. To help address your concerns, I have a few comments and recommendations:
- Please note that the page Draft:List of high schools in Hatay has not been deleted. You can still work on it to be improved and others can contribute to it. It's just not ready to be in the main space of Wikipedia yet because it does not align with Wikipedia's guidelines for stand-alone lists.
- Articles are created by other users, which means that what is created will be biased by what editors are interested in creating. For the English Wikipedia, this means that many more articles exist for places in English-speaking countries than others. This doesn't mean that it's justified.
- Given the above, you can start creating articles for the schools you included on the list, making sure the articles meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines for schools. You may also want to find a WikiProject, such as WikiProject Turkey, that may have specific goals and/or could help develop these pages with you. Additionally, you could see if the [tk.wikipedia.org|Turkish Wikipedia] has pages for any of the schools. If you are able to translate them, make sure to include attribution saying that the content was originally on the Turkish Wikipedia and link to the specific article.
- I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any further questions, comments, and/or concerns. :) Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 18:32, 16 December 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks so much, I have re-submitted the list removing the redlinks for the majority of the entries. Kept the redlinks for a small number that I believe are notable. Will wait for the feedback on the new form there. Gorkem80 (talk) 18:48, 16 December 2023 (UTC)

List of current American Indoor Football team rosters help
Hey @Significa liberdade I am messaging you because I wanted help on the page List of current American Indoor Football team rosters. I created the page as a little passion project to organize the AIF's roster in a similar manner to pages like List of current CFL team rosters, List of current National Arena League team rosters, List of current Indoor Football League team rosters, etc. I don't know how to fix the problem with the secondary citations because I added the navbox, and categories at the bottom like those other pages (changed to line up with the league of course) but I didn't see an external reference for any of those pages. - Hello! Can you tell me what article you're referring to? Generally speaking, articles are placed in the draft space because they do not have enough sources to establish notability according to Wikipedia's guidelines. While your article is in the draft space, you can work on improving it and submit it to be published, at which point, someone will review it and either published it to the main space or provide recommendations for further improvement. Hey, great WP:FIXIT attitude to bring the article at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Abuta bullata to an acceptable standard. That's an above and beyond in my book, definitely deserving of some recognition. microbiologyMarcus (petri dish·growths) 20:41, 27 December 2023 (UTC) |
- Aw, thank you, MicrobiologyMarcus! Honestly, once I opened the editing function on the article, I saw the original editor did a lot of great work; it just wasn't formatted well. After that it was just a few easy-to-find sources, including the one they likely used to create the original article. :) Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 21:37, 27 December 2023 (UTC)

Hi Significa liberdade -- I've declined this as I think it's mainly the long titles that are contributing to the Earwig %age. Anastasiya Tyurina (disambiguation)
Hello,
There is an article about the musician in French, German and Russian, see fr:Anastasia Tyurina, de:Anastassija Pawlowna Tjurina and ru:Тюрина, Анастасия Павловна, which in some way or other could certainly also be created in English. Is it possible to reconsider the speedy deletion? Thanks, --Khatschaturjan (talk) 20:15, 14 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, Khatschaturjan! Thanks for reaching out. At present, the disambiguation page includes a link to the Anastasiya Tyurina page, as well as a redlink to the Anastasiya Tyurina (musician) page. As you noted, the Anastasiya Tyurina (musician) page exists in other languages. In that case, I could remember two things:
- Be bold and create the article yourself!
- If you are proficient in one or more of the languages that already have a wiki page, you can translate from that page, given that you provide attribution. In your edit summary you'd write something like "Translated from the [[Article Name]] on the French Wikipedia."
- If you are not proficient in any of the languages, you can create a stub article (with at least some reliable, secondary sources) and include a {{Expand language|Article title}} template.
- For a starting point regarding translation, check out Wikipedia:Translation.
- Per WP:DABSISTER, you could do an inter-language link for a wiki article in another language. I'd suggest reading through DABSISTER and the associated discussion to see if this may be appropriate.
- Be bold and create the article yourself!
- Hopefully, that makes sense! Let me know if you have any further questions. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 20:27, 14 January 2024 (UTC)

- Since you have been reverted by an independent patroller for your move revert of mine, in the future, you might want to take more time to analyze the situation before posting talk page messages that point to basic policies, especially when addressing experienced editors. Talk page stalkers monitor those discussions for specific reasons. Cheers! Maliner (talk) 13:56, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- @Maliner: Can you explain what I might be looking for when analyzing the situation? I have also asked the other editor why they chose to re-draftify. I just want to better understand so I can help the community and be a better reviewer moving forward. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 14:18, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- ETA: After talking with Padgriffin, I was incorrect in moving the article back to the main space given that this counts as a DRAFTOBJECT, which is not what I intended. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 14:31, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- As far as I know, WP:Draftify is just an explanatory essay, which is totally different from Wikipedia: Policies and thus is not an ironclad argument for you to revert two patrollers (see WP: Consensus). Two patrollers thought that article didn't deserve mainspace, so they just moved it to draft space. Also, I am not sure how proper it is for you to accuse Padgriffin of violating some policy that never exists. Maliner (talk) 14:37, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- Maliner:
- This doesn't give me any information about how to move forward in the future. You initially told me I needed to "analyze the situation before posting talk page messages that point to basic policies". Did you mean that I shouldn't leave a message pointing to a "basic polic[y]" on an experienced editor's talk page or something else? I would love to learn what you meant so I can be a better reviewer moving forward.
- I didn't revert two patrollers. I reverted one patroller (you) because I thought the action violated a policy. Both you and Padgriffin were correct that the article shouldn't be in main space. I was also watching the article to draftify it once it had been stable for at least an hour. Once Padgriffin moved it back to the draft space, I left the page alone. After talking with Padgriffin, I now know I shouldn't have moved the article back into the main space as that counts as a objection, which is not what I intended, so I won't do that again.
- Can you point to where I accused Padgriffin of wrongdoing? I asked them why they chose to re-draftify the article, and they explained that they didn't see the page history, so didn't know that the page had previously been draftified -- only that the article was created, then I moved it to the main space. Due to some error, they saw it had been an hour since it had been last edited, so they draftified.
- Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 15:01, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- And you were wrong here:
- 1) To assume WP:Draftify as an ironclad policy.
- 2) You said,
Because this violated WP:DRAFTIFY
here in this edit. It was ridiculous, as you were asking them to violate an explanatory essay? Really. Maliner (talk) 15:24, 22 January 2024 (UTC)- Maliner:
- NPP tutorial also indicates that you should wait at least an hour before draftifying an article (see WP:NPPHOUR). The tutorial also points patrollers to WP:DRAFTIFY. This may not be an "ironclad policy" on Wikipedia, but it is highly recommended for patrollers "Unless there are serious content problems", i.e., attack, copyright issues, and/or blatant vandalism.
- I'm still not seeing what you're seeing. In my message to Padgriffin, I said that you violated a policy. Regardless of whether WP:DRAFTIFY is a policy, I didn't ask them to violate anything.
- Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 16:15, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- Please stop pinging me. I already told you in my last edit summary that I am not interested in bludgeon here. You were wrong in saying to me that
you violated a policy
and sayingbecause I thought the action violated a policy
above. It is literally ridiculous to quote essays like Wikipedia policy and accuse someone of violating some nonexistent policy. Two patrollers thought that the article was not ready for main space, so it’s kind of WP:Consensus. And I don’t expect someone to come to my talk to create drama just because I didn’t follow one explanatory essay by not waiting for 11 minutes to send a poorly sourced article to draft space (which was later declined at AFC by a third uninvolved patroller). Don’t you think you’re wasting your time here by bludgeoning? Please stop it now. Maliner (talk) 16:59, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

- No one cares about your hard and fast rule of 60 minutes. See this. This was the draftification in just 30 minutes by our former admin, Fram. And I appreciate their draftification because It was completely unreferenced. Maliner (talk) 17:41, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hello again, Maliner. I have agreed that 1) I should not have reverted your draftification and that 2) the draftification, had it happened later, would have been justified; I would have done it myself. Based on NPP guidelines, which I linked above, reviewers should wait at least 60 minutes before draftifying an article. Would you like a third opinion on this issue from a current admin on NPP, such as Hey man im josh or Rosguill? Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 17:55, 22 January 2024 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Hi @Maliner and Significa liberdade, I'm not an admin but I'll try to provide a 3O to defuse this. The oft-quoted one-hour wait time comes from the result of the discussion at Wikipedia talk:New pages patrol/Coordination/Archive 5#Minimum deletion time, where it was decided to change the grace period for deletion nominations from fifteen minutes to an hour. Draftifications were included in this discussion and it has been NPP's advice to wait for an hour since. Early taggings, draftings and nominations do happen of course, but editors are encouraged not to in order to avoid interrupting ongoing article creation and discouraging newcomers.
- Maliner, in regards to your comments:
"No one cares about your hard and fast rule of 60 minutes"
. I wholeheartedly disagree. Simply checking out the recent draftifications of most NPRs should show that we do care about this for the important reasons below."Two patrollers thought that the article was not ready for main space, so it’s kind of WP:Consensus"
: one could equally say that about the discussion I linked above. By my count, six NPRs advocating for the change here, four of which were NPP coordinators. To quote the Arbitration Committee in their 2013 case, Infoboxes:Where there is a global consensus to edit in a certain way, it should be respected and cannot be overruled by a local consensus. However, on subjects where there is no global consensus, a local consensus should be taken into account.
(emphasis mine)
- Regardless, I feel like debating over "essay" vs "guideline" vs "policy" is missing the point here. Editor retention is a large problem we face, especially when coming into contact with NPP and early tagging. A draftification when creating an article can be seriously demotivating, so we should give a larger window to soften the blow and allow as much time as is reasonable for creation. When reviewing new pages, unless there is a serious content violation, per WP:NPPHOUR we should avoid early tagging to minimise biting newcomers, which is a guideline:
A newcomer may save a tentative first draft to see if they are even allowed to start an article, with plans to expand it if there is no backlash. If, within a few minutes, the article is plastered with cleanup tags, assessed as a "stub" or even suggested for deletion, they may give up. It is better to wait a few days to see how a harmless article evolves than to rush to criticize.
(emphasis mine)
- Maliner, if you feel strongly about this and want to take it further, I would suggest posting at WT:NPP. All the best, Schminnte [talk to me] 21:38, 22 January 2024 (UTC)

Beyblade X episode descriptions
I was suprised to see that there were no descriptions that I had added for previous episodes. Is this a glitch or something? VizDsouz (talk) 08:07, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
- Hi, VizDsouz! The episode descriptions were removed for copyright violations. You may re-add the description using your own words. Significa liberdade (she/her) (talk) 17:49, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the suggestion but I won’t be adding them again until the english episodes start airing because the descriptions will be alternate but smaller when compared to the Japanese ones. I have a feeling that many sites have copied my descriptions and put them on their sites (except the wbo and the beyblade wiki) without giving credits or siting where they took it from. VizDsouz (talk) 04:22, 28 January 2024 (UTC)

Comments on Draft:Pretty Cure All Stars F
Your comment about being confused by the list of voice actors was valid. I recently changed up the list of voice actors to align with what is listed on the film's official website, while putting the other characters into another section. Some of the articles I've read (and added to the draft) said there were seventy-seven Pretty Cures featured in the film... but the official website ONLY listed 18 characters, and that page lists all the voice actors. At present, I am not sure whether the others listed in the "other characters" section even appear in the film at all, apart from cameos. Historyday01 (talk) 00:58, 29 January 2024 (UTC)
