Edit conflict
I had an edit conflict, and then found you'd cleared your entire talk page. (Not ideal in my view for a Teahouse Host, as users often want to engage with you, or see how you've responded to others.) But anyway, I was going to post the following in answer to what I assume was the last thread:
- OK, and thanks for considering and acting on this so reasonably and so swiftly. Cheers, Nick Moyes (talk) 20:45, 5 December 2020 (UTC)
- Nick Moyes, I use Wikipedia on a Dell Chromebook, which isn't keen on running extended pages without causing everything to slow down drastically. Yes, I'm striving to be as good and knowledgeable of this website as possible, and I'll always act fast on what's not right. Thanks! Le Panini Talk 20:52, 5 December 2020 (UTC)
- Despite this learning curve, you're a valued member of our community Le Panini and i'm glad you respond to advice so well. Here's a massive photo of a kitten to help your talk page load faster.

I got alerted but you reverted!
Hi Le Panini
I got alerted by your addition just now on the Teahouse part on AfC. I thought I'd just say that the article you quoted is not one that I personally think should be in the encyclopaedia, as IMO it and similar stuff are fancruft of no long-term interest. However, I'm an organic chemist: I guess there are loads of articles on individual chemicals that you (if a non-chemist) might view as being equally unworthy of an article. Let's agree to differ, there's space on Wikipedia's servers for all sorts of things! Mike Turnbull (talk) 13:03, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
- Michael D. Turnbull, I think people do make stubs just for credit. Some articles can be improved, it's just nobody wants to; everyone is busy editing the Final Fantasy or something like that. Le Panini Talk 13:08, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
- I wasn't saying they shouldn't exist, I was saying stuff like this does exist, and just is left unanswered until it's nominated for deletion 10 years later. Le Panini Talk 13:09, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, that's why I much prefer editing existing articles rather than creating new ones. Many, many of the chemistry articles on here are WP:NOTABLE enough but dreadfully incomplete. Mike Turnbull (talk) 13:12, 8 December 2020 (UTC)
- Michael D. Turnbull, Me too. I don't take credit for creating Candleman, I take credit for substantially improving Paper Mario: The Origami King. Le Panini Talk 13:14, 8 December 2020 (UTC)

Paper Mario: The Origami King
Hello:
I was about to begin the copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Paper Mario: The Origami King when I checked the article's edit history. There is no point in an editor doing a copy edit if the article is changing rapidly. Are you and the other editors you're working with finished editing? If not, I would suggest you withdraw your request until you are satisfied that your work is finished and then resubmit it. Also, the GOCE's editors do not help write the articles they are asked to copy edit, they simply edit what is written. So, I would not be adding to the Gameplay section. (It's already over 600 words in length and, although I cannot find a suggested maximum length, Assassin's Creed is slightly over 600 words, for example. Perhaps it needs another player to take a look and make suggestions. I will copy edit the Reception section and may be able to clean up the summaries there, but I won't be reading reviews and adding additional points. That is the writer's job.
If you're good with this, let me know and I'll get on with the copy edit. The critical thing is that the article is stable.
Twofingered Typist (talk) 21:22, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
- Twofingered Typist, Well, it might have just been poor phrasing of my request. I understand you don't add content and wasn't expecting you to do so, just properly phrase what's there (as you said). Looking at the question, I phrased it horribly, and just need a proper gameplay and reception section. This issue probably came from the fact that I nominated the article a while back before GA, but finished a lot more in the meantime, thus only "rephrasing" my question.
- Although I am currently in a featured article nomination, I have not gotten any new suggestions for changing or adding content recently. One of the reasons why it's been changing rapidly is because somebody pointed out a controversy (which I couldn't just not do) and added some other discovered content while I was at it. I discovered some more interviews and added info from there, but I really cannot find anything else to add. As such, don't expect any major changes except from the general "fix typo" (because I make a lot apparently). In fact, I'm the only one doing the "major" changes, but half of it is just general copyediting of my own.
- If any requests do come for the featured article nomination, I will wait on changing them so you can do your business. And to answer your gameplay issue, I've been finding a concrete answer to gameplay length as well. I've brought this issue up multiple times (and other people brought it up to me in return), and from what I gathered it really doesn't matter unless if the point gets across. This battle system is hard to explain, according to multiple users.
- Hope this helps! Le Panini Talk 22:17, 9 December 2020 (UTC)
- Great! Away we go. Twofingered Typist (talk) 13:35, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
Paper Mario: The Origami King (Cont.)
A quick question. Is there a reason why the IGN citation appears in the lead? Citations are generally not put in the lead unless a statement is controversial. It can easily be moved into the gameplay section. Twofingered Typist (talk) 15:25, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
- Twofingered Typist, Back in July, there was a very long argument about what the game's genre was. The original editors couldn't decide, so they settled on this and ignored Gamerguy94. This debate was later carried on but was only slightly brutal, and the consensus was "Oh my god, just call it cross-genre". I believe this was left there to preserve this debate. However, I was not there for that, so you can ultimately move it if it'll serve better purpose in gameplay. Le Panini Talk 15:31, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
- @Le Panini: Okay, let's leave it where it is then. The FAC reviewer may want it moved, but that can be dealt with if and when. Twofingered Typist (talk) 15:40, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
Paper Mario: The Origami King (Cont.)
Hello:
The copy edit you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Paper Mario: The Origami King has been completed.
Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. I had to check the citations in a couple of cases to understand the text, so please read through it to make sure I haven't introduced any errors.
Best of luck with the FA review.

Cyberpunk 2077 most expensive game of all time
It's possible you're correct, I just couldn't immediately find any reliable sources to that effect. The source for that line only said it was "one of" the most expensive games. If you have a reliable source, I won't contest. --Elephanthunter (talk) 06:48, 21 December 2020 (UTC)

Hey, I wondered if you can help me?
Evening, so I was looking at your GA articles (by the way, great job on the Paper Mario articles) and I noticed that you used something called IABotManagementConsole [1.2] to "rescue" and "tag" sources for archiving. Currently, I went on the website https://iabot.toolforge.org/oauthcallback.php?returnedfrom=oauthcallback and have logged into it, but how do I rescue sources with it? Thank you in advance, CaptainGalaxy 17:52, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
- Captain Galaxy, If you go into the article's history, there's a button that says "fix dead links"; it will bring you to the analyze a page screen. Click the checkbox that says "Add archives to all non-dead references (Optional)" (I don't know what this does but everyone does it), and hit analyze. Le Panini [🥪] 18:34, 24 December 2020 (UTC)
- Thank you Le Panini, not just for this but for the whole year. Enjoy yourself tomorrow! CaptainGalaxy 18:47, 24 December 2020 (UTC)

Hello! Regarding Reception...
Hey, Panini. I've completed re-writing Reception (haven't yet converted Awards to prose, but will!). Any chance you'd give it a look for me? As happens, the PR has dried up a little and, given that it’s new, I'd just really appreciate some feedback. I really liked the word you did for PM's reception, so consider you a bit of an Recap-pro. If not, no trouble at all. Hope everything's well, and that Paper Mario resolves soon! — ImaginesTigers (talk) 19:35, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
- ImaginesTigers, I'll leave my opinions at the peer review. If the peer review is losing momentum, you could make a post at WT:VG and see if it catches someone's attention. Le Panini [🥪] 19:44, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
- I don't think I should... I've got 4/5 really detailed pieces of feedback, and lots of people don't get any (which sucks). The whole article has pretty much been looked at it now (I've also been talking with folks about it, at length, on discord); just reception that's left over. I'd usually ask David but he's really busy with ArbCom stuff. Thanks a lot, Panini. It means a lot. — ImaginesTigers (talk) 19:50, 4 January 2021 (UTC)
Oh dear
Um, hi, sorry to bother you, but I need help. I was working on my draft, Queen Iduna, and I accidentally hit "add tags to article". It said to continue I had to change something about how I saw Wikipedia. So I hit the button to change it, and now everything is all wonky, and I can't fix it. Can you help me?
Rosefeather of WindClan (talk) 16:08, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
- Rosefeather of WindClan, I'm not sure what problem you're having. The draft looks fine, and you haven't edited there in 2 weeks. I'm guessing you're having a problem with visual editor, so at the top of every page is the preferences button. Click it, and from there, go to editing, and click "Temporarily disable the visual editor while it is in beta". If this is not your issue, than I might need some more description. Le Panini [🥪] 18:14, 6 January 2021 (UTC)
I tried, but it didn't work. And it's not just when I'm editing, it's always. Nothing is working. I wish I knew how to give a screenshot! As for more description, basically the notifs icon, and search icon that were all in my top right corner before, are now spread outon the top of my screen, and instead of a small user icon which, when tapped, displayed links to my user page, talk page, contribs, watchlist, and sandbox, i now just have those links splayed on the top also. Rosefeather of WindClan (talk) — Preceding undated comment added 01:44, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
- Rosefeather of WindClan, Maybe it has something to do with the Wiki skin? To fix this, go to Preferences -> Appearance -> Skin -> Vector, and save. If that's not the problem, you might have more luck asking at the WP:Teahouse. Some hosts there are more knowledgeable than I am (and remember to sign your posts with four tildes!) Le Panini [🥪] 01:54, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
I think I fixed it; my skin is MinervaNeue. Or at least similar, some of the things are different from what I'm used to, but I'll get used to it.

So when I said "does this violate any policies..." I was asking if adding somebody else's signature was OK. I wonder if their is anything against doing that, so that is why I put that semi-rhetorical statement in my edit summary. -GoatLordServant(Talk-Contribs) 21:49, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
- GoatLordServant, I don't see anything on it in WP:SIG, but just in case, refrain from doing so. Copy and pasting would result on pasting over the wrong time and date, too. Le Panini [🥪] 21:56, 7 January 2021 (UTC)
- I was busy for a while. Here I am again, but what I tried to do was copy and paste the time you made the edit without a signature. I found your signature, pasted it there, formatted, added the date, formatted, added "(UTC)" then boom, I had a sig. I don't understand what was up with changing the date again though. -GoatLordServant(Talk-Contribs) 14:17, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
