Ciao --100% Reporter (talk) 01:34, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
- Santander Group and Banco Santander were same article, unlike HSBC Holding and HSBC (HK), they were two separate legal entity. Crédit Agricole Italia is the trading name and brand name, which Cariparma only shown on the logo, but elsewhere were "Crédit Agricole Italia". It clearly started "Crédit Agricole Italia " in the business plan that "Crédit Agricole Italia " would be used as brand only. For year of establishment , Fondazione Cariparma stated 1859, unless "more" reliable source was dig. wikipedia was build on external source, not "fact" that they read somewhere but forget exactly where. Matthew_hk tc 05:41, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
- http://www.credit-agricole.it/pages/cariparma-una-storia-lunga-150-anni the bank used 1860 (date of Parma joined Italy / Piedmont Sardinia) Matthew_hk tc 05:51, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
--100% Reporter (talk) 05:03, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
- Cariparma Group and Credit Agricole Italia Group is the same group and same company. Only name change after 10 year after acquisition would be confusing to split it to two article. Matthew_hk tc 08:44, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
--100% Reporter (talk) 01:41, 14 February 2017 (UTC)

- To precise, Cariparma existed until 1992, after 1992 it was a product of merger under the brand Cariparma and after 2007 with the help of parent company to gain lots of branch from Intesa Sanpaolo and since then most often due branded, so what confuse people if the banking group phased out all 3 historical brand? Matthew_hk tc 08:58, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
--100% Reporter (talk) 05:39, 15 February 2017 (UTC)

How to upload a corporate logo in an article
Dear Matthew hk,
I really appreciate your help so far in changing OPAP article. I am working on some additional changes on this article and I am trying to find out how it is possible to upload the updated corporate logo on this article because the current logo on this article is outdated. Could you please inform me on how to do that?
Thank you in advance. User121980 (talk) 09:48, 2 February 2017 (UTC)
- Look like the logo was update to date to me (i'm not a designer i can't find different in detail). Matthew_hk tc 05:55, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
- The difference is that the new logo is flat with slightly different colors. In the old logo the shape is polished while in the new one the shape is flat. See for example the updated logo that is uploaded on the header of the official page of OPAP http://www.opap.gr/en/web/guest/corporate. Thanks User121980 (talk) 10:12, 3 February 2017 (UTC)
I found this link https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:UploadWizard that has specific instructions on how to upload images but I have to choose one of this legal documents "Release rights"on step 3 of the wizard . Could you inform me on which one is the right choice for me in order to upload the new logo and images? ThanksUser121980 (talk) 15:42, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
- It is not qualify for Wiki Common as it is not owned by you nor in the public domain. Matthew_hk tc 15:45, 6 February 2017 (UTC)
Hello Matthew_hk. I would like to add some additional content in OPAP article and I would appreciate your help in this matter. More specifically I would like to upload 1. a photo of the first PRO-PO slip in "The first PRO-PO slip" section (you can find this photo on this article http://www.tovima.gr/society/article/?aid=248336), 2. Hellenic Lotteries S.A. logo and Horse Races S.A. logo in the corresponding sections of OPAP's article and 3. two additional images in the new section called "Logo" which displays OPAP’s corporate logo over time. Since you updated OPAP’s corporate logo would it be possible to add those images as well? In order to see those five visuals you can visit OPAP's Greek wikipedia article (see here: el:ΟΠΑΠ). Best User121980 (talk) 14:16, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
- you need to own the photo in order to upload it. Don't stole anything from internet. Company logo was allowed just because "fair use" Matthew_hk tc 14:31, 13 February 2017 (UTC)
- Ok, I understand that but since four of these images are company logos as well, I believe that "fair use" also applies to those images as well. What do you think? You can see the company logos on these pages http://www.opap.gr/en/web/corporate.opap.gr/9, (see header and footer) http://www.hellenic-lotteries.gr/en/web/hellenic-lotteries, http://www.horseraces.gr/en Thank youUser121980 (talk) 10:29, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
- In theory one company one logo for wikipedia. historical logo i don't remember exactly allowed or not. But do you think create a well written article on horse racing section of OPAP first? Matthew_hk tc 10:32, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
- As far as I can see historical logos are allowed as well as more than one logos per company (See for example these articles: Ford Motor Company , Google). It is really important for me to make these additional changes as soon as possible so I would appreciate your help on this matter. If it is a big hustle for you, please inform me on how I can add those images on this article. Thank you in advance User121980 (talk) 14:19, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
- 4 out of 5 ford logos were no copyright (a special case); for Google, the second logo was actually a violation (should be used in just Google Doodle). Matthew_hk tc 14:42, 14 February 2017 (UTC)
- Would it be possible to treat this as a special case and upload those logos in OPAP's article? User121980 (talk) 11:18, 15 February 2017 (UTC)
- please ask an administrator for comment. Moreover, the source of the image of el:Αρχείο:OPAP logo.png doesn't match the actual file in Greek wiki. Matthew_hk tc 12:11, 15 February 2017 (UTC)
- How can I ask an administrator? Could you please send me a relevant link so I can do that? As far as the source of the image of el:Αρχείο:OPAP logo.png is concerned is exactly the same with the file that I want to upload (dimensions 65*57 pixels / size 9,99 KB) User121980 (talk) 14:08, 15 February 2017 (UTC)
- The easiest way was on your talk page type {{helpme}} or go to Wikipedia:Teahouse. el:Αρχείο:OPAP logo.png can't qualified as a source. The link in that image http://content-mcdn.ethnos.gr/filesystem/images/20130423/low/assets_LARGE_t_420_54192152.JPG doesn't match the file. Matthew_hk tc 14:12, 15 February 2017 (UTC)
- I opened a thread on my talk page. I hope this will work. Thank you Matthew_hk. I really appreciate your help. User121980 (talk) 11:09, 16 February 2017 (UTC)

Can we get some input in resolving an edit dispute?
Hello Govvy. I am hoping that you can lend some assistance. Me and user GiantSnowman need assistance in resolving an edit dispute concerning the kit section that was in the Nigerian national football team article. He removed it citing WP:NOTGALLERY. I disagree with his interpretation and I have shared my reasons on the talk page at WikiProject Football. We request the input of members of this project in order to resolve this issue. Your assistance would be appreciated if you have the time. Thanks! unak1978 17:07, 29 April 2017 (UTC)
The article Parallel Media Group has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Fails WP:CORP. Existing cited secondary coverage is an extremely brief passing comment in the telegraph. All I can find myself are other brief mentions about it's share price e.g. [1] [2] but those provide no information about the company.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. SmartSE (talk) 11:50, 9 May 2017 (UTC)

Dietrich Mateschitz
I'm not against the sort of approach you are advocating as to how we show his net worth. However, you'll need to reference it using the relevant annual Forbes lists, rather than just the one that updates in real time. I have considered using such an approach myself, but it is difficult to police, as people are wont to update net worth using the real time figures in Forbes and Bloomberg. If you're interested, maybe we could seek the views of other editors, perhaps at WP:BLPN. Any thoughts? Edwardx (talk) 12:00, 6 July 2017 (UTC)
- I saw Roman Abramovich was patrolled and no problem. There is no time scale in real time net worth, i am not sure Forbes.com update it daily or weekly, but it make no comparable value to other people because of time scale. Matthew_hk tc 12:02, 6 July 2017 (UTC)
- The Forbes real time numbers are algorithmically generated, and can update multiple times each day, especially if someone's net worth includes shares in quoted companies. The Abramovich article uses the 2017 "annual" figure, but without the 2016 annual figure there is no cited basis for using {{increase}}. Your revision to Dietrich Mateschitz needs a link to the 2016 annual list too. And this sort of approach is only likely to work for people in the global top 100, as otherwise, it will involve users in excessive scrolling to get down to the relevant entries. raiffeisen zentralbank
hello matthew,
my name is martin Schreiber and I work in the group communications at raiffeisen bank international (rzb's successor since march 17). I am currently trying to edit the pages of rbi and rzb in both german and English according to their current status quo after the companies' merger. quite contrary to you, I am new to the process of doing this, but trying to do a good job without deleting too much of existing content, which is, and I do appreciate that, based on hard work by people like you.
I noticed that you re-edited my changes of yesterday. as the site presents itself now (again), it does not reflect the company's status at all (as it simply does not exist anymore). may I suggest that I rework the site just so that it reflects the current status quo, leaving history etc of course untouched. I also felt it was fair to add a comment in the controversy section which I would be happy to index with material supporting my statement that none of the allegations were ever actually proven.
Is this ok with you? I just want to avoid us editing and re-editing in a loop. I would of course be very thankful for any advice you may have, and the same is true for criticism.
kind regards, martinM. Schreiber (talk) 10:26, 11 July 2017 (UTC) martin.schreiber@rbinternational.com

- @Xwejnusgozo: please create an article first. And i doubt the article you created would be an orphan. So, unless there is the third "Andrea Vassallo", better leave Andrea Vassallo the footballer as owner of the namespace "Andrea Vassallo" as it is the primary usage. - @Matthew hk: I just created the article Andrea Vassallo (architect), and moved the article about the footballer back to Andrea Vassallo (footballer), while retaining Andrea Vassallo as a disambiguation page.
