Another editor has added the {{prod}} template to the article List of Italian football transfers Summer 2008, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the editor doesn't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and has explained why in the article (see also Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not and Wikipedia:Notability). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia or discuss the relevant issues at its talk page. If you remove the {{prod}} template, the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Markhiya.jpg

Thank you for uploading Image:Markhiya.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot (talk) 14:14, 8 March 2008 (UTC)

An editor has nominated List of Italian football transfers Summer 2008, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").

Fran90cabj - argentine footballers

Hello. What's wrong man? Why have you deleted the changes I made? http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=User_talk:201.235.1.32&redirect=no I will revert them. I did no harm to everybody, I could have misunderstood some word meaning, but I have good faith, and you have no right to delete the work that I've done with the good faith and for the community.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Fran90cabj (talkcontribs) 21:43, 18 March 2008 (UTC)

Srpska Liga Vojvodina, East, West, Belgrade

Blerim Xhemajli name switch

Earlier today, you reverted this footballer back to his Macedonian name. On principle, the original move by me to his Albanian name may have come as a surprise to some of the editors more familiar with me, as more often that not, I am in favour of adding a Slavic translation when the individual is born in the former Yugoslavia. The authors of the Kosovan people articles cannot even see the point of having the Slavic name in the first place. My point is that the Albanian language does have a legal status in Macedonia, and any Albanian nationalist who took notice of your revert would probably go bananas! Of course, we are not here to please certain groups. But the name as given in Macedonian is an indication of Macedonia's Slavic national dominance, particularly over Albanians, and linguistic rights were the main achievement of the rebel fighting in Macedonia in 2001 when it was agreed to end the fighting. With this in mind, it is better to present him in his Albanian form, giving immediate Macedonian translations. Evlekis (talk) 18:17, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Common name policy. Matthew_hk tc 18:18, 25 March 2008 (UTC)
But the Albanian is his common name, think how he'd present himself outside of Macedonia. Evlekis (talk) 21:14, 25 March 2008 (UTC)

Outside Macedonia, he is known as Blerim Džemaili in Switzerland, England, and even in the book of World Cup. OR even worse, Dzemaili. Matthew_hk tc 08:42, 26 March 2008 (UTC)

Hi, I appreciate that you improved my edits on the Dmitri Borodin page. But I noticed removed his national team years. I was just wondering why. I think that he is still in contention of one of the three goalkeeper spots in the Russia squad for Euro 2008. He is most likley competing with Anton Shunin, Vyacheslav Malafeev, Igor Akinfeev, and Vladimir Gaboulov. But anyway thanks and hope we can disscuss this.Thedefenceman (talk) 22:28, 30 March 2008 (UTC)

Just add it back after he actually played. Matthew_hk tc 14:02, 31 March 2008 (UTC)

Popović (apology)

Hi there, I'm sorry, I guess I accidently reverted your edit, accusing vandalism while patroling for recent edits. My sincere apologies once again.  S3000  ☎ 11:13, 1 April 2008 (UTC)

Stipan Đurić

Hallo, Matthew.
On the article Đurić, you've accidentally removed the line about the Hungarian actor Stipan Đurić. He's the actor of Pécsi Horvát Színház [4], also working with Croatian national theatre in Zagreb.
There, Stipan Đurić, [5], in Krleža's drama, plays the role of general Pei Lin–Tsi. Kamarad Walter (talk) 11:19, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Well, I want to be sure if Stipan Đurić is also the Croatian minority representative. This link Horvát Önkormányzat Budapest mentions person with the same name and surname, but I am not sure if that is the same person (there're not many persons with that name and surname in Hungary). If he's both actor and representative, I believe that should be enough for listing him on Wikipedia.
Because I hadn't seen some basic data about him (birthdate, birthplace, city/village of origin), I haven't made an article about him yet. Thanks for quick response, Kamarad Walter (talk) 11:35, 3 April 2008 (UTC)

Orphaned non-free media (Image:AlArabi.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:AlArabi.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 12:31, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
