Just to avoid an edit war. His brother Pierre has been loaned to Dijon, not him. [1] [2]Luxic (talk) 23:10, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

I really don't understand what is your problem with this article. Why did you remove the statement about his possible loan spell at Le Mans? He's not listed in the first team roster anymore and he's too old to play in the next Primavera championship, so it's obvious that he's going to leave. Moreover, he has already been doing a trial with Le Mans this week. [3] - Luxic (talk) 21:46, 17 July 2008 (UTC)

WP:HAU, Status, and you!

As you may know, the StatusBot responsible for maintaining the status of the Highly Active Users was taken offline. We now have a replacement in the Qui status system. This semi-automatic system will allow you to easily update your status page found at Special:Mypage/Status which the HAU page code is now designed to read from. If you are already using Qui (or a compatible system) - great! - no action is needed (other than remembering to update your status as necessary). If not, consider installing Qui. You can also manually update this status by changing the page text to online, offline, or busy. While it is not mandatory, the nature of HAU is that people are often seeking a quick answer from someone who is online and keeping our statuses up-to-date will assist with this. Note if you were previously using your /Status page as something other than a one-word status indicator, your HAU entry may have been set to "status=n" to correct display issues. Please clear this parameter if you change things to be "HAU compatible". Further questions can be raised at WT:HAU. This message was delivered by xenobot 23:15, 8 July 2008 (UTC)

Non-notable articles

If you are going to accuse me of "unconstructive edits", it would be helpful if you specified to what you are referring. I'm afraid I've absolutely no idea what your comment is in connection with. Unspecified threats to block me from editing are certainly not appreciated. If you disagree with anything I have done, you are at liberty to challenge me about, but kindly refrain from these casual, non-specific criticisms and threats. Mooretwin (talk) 14:05, 22 July 2008 (UTC)

C&P move

Rather than respond to my post above, you have simply continued with your unreasonable behaviour - yet another criticism about an unspecified subject and another threat to ban me from editing.

Please desist from this conduct. If you disagree with something I have done, at least have the courtesy (a) to explain what it is instead of making this vague posts and threats, and (b) to respond when I post on your talk page. Totally unreasonable. >:-( Mooretwin (talk) —Preceding undated comment was added at 07:41, 23 July 2008 (UTC)

Re: disambiguation

Hello. Please see Wikipedia:disambiguation for information on writing disambiguation pages, such as that on Leandro de Almeida. Piping, adding a link but covering the page's correct title is not allowed on disambiguation pages unless part of the title should be in italics, e.g. a film's title.

"Piping" means concealing the actual title of a linked article by replacing it with other text, typically to suppress parenthetical expressions.

Do not pipe the name of the links to the articles being listed. For example, in the entry for Moment (physics), the word "physics" should be visible to the reader. In many cases, what would be hidden by a pipe is exactly what the user would need to be able to find the intended article.

Exceptions: Use piping if you are linking to an anchor point on the target page.

Use piping if the article title differs from what it should be due to technical limitations per

; for instance, The Singles 81>85 or Softimage|XSI.

Use piping to add italics or quotation marks to part of an article name; for instance, Harvey (film), USS Adder (SS-3), "School" (song), Saturnalia (dinosaur), "Hush" (Buffy episode), Neo (The Matrix).

I hope this clears it up for you; the title is what they are looking for and must be clear. It doesn't look quite as good, but improves clarity. Thanks Boleyn (talk) 16:20, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

I assume the edit summary 'use your brain pls', was aimed at myself, as the other person who has edited this recently. The dates were not put in by me, I just didn't notice to take them out - I (like every editor on here) don't always notice everything. I've never had someone leave an uncivil message before, which clearly goes against your own ideas of Be polite Assume good faith No personal attacks Be welcoming that you put at the top of your talk page. I edited the page, let you know why in a polite manner and assumed good faith. Please refrain from personal attacks in future, we all want the same thing here. Irish football pages

Stop undoing changes to these articles. They are accurate and up-to-date and are the result of a considerable amount of work. If you've nothing constructive to add, leave them alone.Mooretwin (talk) 11:56, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

PLEASE STOP VANDALISING THESE PAGES Leave them alone. Mooretwin (talk) 07:27, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Why are you repeatedly vandalising these articles? You are changing them from being accurate to being inaccurate. The Irish First Division no longer exists. Nor does the Irish Second Division. Hence those pages are redirected to IFA Championship and IFA Interim Intermediate League, which do exist. Your behaviour is unreasonable. LEAVE THEM ALONE Mooretwin (talk) 17:18, 31 July 2008 (UTC)
Stop vandalising the Irish football pages and then accusing ME of vandalism when I repair them Mooretwin (talk) 11:16, 2 August 2008 (UTC)

Speedy deletion of "Loïc Lumbilla Kandja"

A page you created, Loïc Lumbilla Kandja, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how they are important or significant, and thus why they should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and the guidelines for biographies in particular.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Mexican football pages

Hi, i've noticed that some user named Kaka12o has moved every single mexican football teams' articles, i've seen the history of the articles, you reverted some of them. For example Monarcas Morelia, thank you for moving them back. My question is, should we move back the rest of the other clubs articles, to their original titles? I think you warned him about the copy, paste, and move thing. BlueRed 02:09, 3 August 2008 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use Image:Tardelli Inter.jpg

Replaceable fair use
Replaceable fair use

Thanks for uploading Image:Tardelli Inter.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Mosmof (talk) 02:28, 5 August 2008 (UTC)

Dusan Djuric move

Hello Matthew! I was wondering why you moved Dusan Djuric to Dušan Đurić. Do you have any reliable sources that he actually uses the Serbian spelling? He is born in Halmstad, Sweden and I've never seen anyone use the Serbian spelling of his name. I took the liberty to move the page back. Cheers! Sebisthlm (talk) 19:31, 11 September 2008 (UTC) EDIT: The page had to be moved by an admin so I have to bring it up at WP:RM. Sebisthlm (talk) 19:34, 11 September 2008 (UTC)

Neven Subotic

Matthew , Subotic has right to play for Croatia and Serbia because he was born in Yugoslavia meaning he is deemed to have been a citizen of all countries in Ex-Yu so he can choose which one to play for if he so wishes. . But the problem is that he is SERB and not CROAT. This article can shed some light onto the subject.http://soccernet.espn.go.com/columns/story?id=557869&sec=americansabroad&root=americansabroad&&cc=5739 Germany have almost no chance of getting Subotic . Subotic played for the US-17 team, and at the time, didn't have a German passport. This rules him out for Germany, unless corrupt FIFA bend over for them. Read FIFA statute , Article 18. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Serbov (talkcontribs) 08:53, 21 September 2008 (UTC) --89.111.197.194 (talk) 08:55, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Source for value ranges in "Mullard-Philips tube designation"

Hi Matthew_hk, I saw your edits on Mullard-Philips tube designation. Can you help to solve the mystery of this? Do you know a source to check? --BEG (talk) 09:19, 7 November 2008 (UTC)

BD vs YOB and YOD categories

Hi. Concerning this editof yours, I would like to comment that there is no consensus in replacing YOB and YOD categories with BD. These edits are considered as nonconstructive. Thanks, Magioladitis (talk) 15:22, 22 November 2008 (UTC)

If you want to get some real expansion happening then use this source. It has plenty of early life stuff too. Take care! Sillyfolkboy (talk) 05:30, 6 December 2008 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Category:Brazilian-Belgians, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Category:Brazilian-Belgians is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Category:Brazilian-Belgians, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. I don't know what you know about Croatia but naselje and opcina are different entities. Maybe compare it with New York and New York City. One is a part of the other Talk:Municipalities of Croatia. Can you please move back all the articles that you moved? LocodeMaster (talk) 15:10, 14 December 2008 (UTC)

I asked you to revert, because I thought you were an admin. The stuff cannot be moved back, because the targets have been edited. I think the moves can be postponed. I started with bringing Zagreb County to new format, see Talk:Municipalities of Croatia. If you like to move and copy paste data from hr:wikipedia ... :-) LocodeMaster (talk) 17:04, 14 December 2008 (UTC)
