Yevhen Levchenko

[edit]

I noticed that the Russian wikipedia gives Yevhen Levchenko the Dutch and Ukrainian citizenship. That is not correct (unless you has a secret Dutch citizenship, since Ukraine forbids to have two passports). Mariah-Yulia (talk) 00:10, 24 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Огромное тебе спасибо :) A. Falcao (talk) 19:59, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, a small note about this player: Zsák is the family/last name and Károly is the first name here. So I sorted the articles and redirects out to follow the western order again. Regards from Hungary, Gruen (talk) 11:17, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Zsák - it is name, Károly - last name. A. Falcao (talk) 15:22, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • Believe me I am Hungarian myself. Zsák is the family/last/sur- name (the word "Zsák" stands for "Sack" or "Bag" in English), and Károly (Charles) is the first/christian name. I revert the articles again, and give explanation on the article discussion page too. Thanks for understanding. Regards, Gruen (talk) 18:10, 18 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AFC Ajax youth players

[edit]

Hi there. Even if a youth player has never played for the first team, they should still be included in the relevant team category (in this case Category:AFC Ajax players). Regards, GiantSnowman 12:42, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

And where the rules introducing the players in the category? A. Falcao (talk) 13:30, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You will find consensus here. Regards, GiantSnowman 13:40, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
This is not rules Wikipedia! A. Falcao (talk) 13:43, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No, it is consenus of the WikiCommunity. Please stop reverting my edits, you are going directly against WP:FOOTY. Regards, GiantSnowman 13:44, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
But this does not rule! Right! A. Falcao (talk) 13:46, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No, it isn't a rule - it is popular consensus! I have asked members of WP:FOOTY to persuade you to stop...GiantSnowman 13:48, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok! Try to convince me! A. Falcao (talk) 13:54, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I think you misunderstand how Wikipedia works. Some things are governed by strict rules, like WP:BLP says we're not to write things about living people which aren't backed up by reliable published sources. But everything else is governed by consensus. If a group of interested editors have a discussion and reach an agreement about how something should work, then that is called consensus, and until and unless a further discussion happens and decides things should be done differently, that consensus does rule. If you think these categories shouldn't be added, then you are more than welcome to start another discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football to see if community opinion has changed. But until you or someone else does establish a new consensus, then we must go by the one we have. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 14:03, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't agree! A. Falcao (talk) 14:06, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
One person's opinion is not consenus! GiantSnowman 14:08, 13 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposition

[edit]

Hi there FALCAO, VASCO from Portugal here,

I want to ask you a favour: could you please leave the player infoboxes small when it is possible to do it? See this case, Wenderson Arruda Said: i think it should be Ermis Aradippou in story, but only Ermis in infobox, because then infobox will be more compact.

Also, in this case, because ERMIS is the name of the club, and i think there is only one ERMIS in the world, and ARADIPPOU is the name of the city, for all that i think only ERMIS should be in the infobox, which is smaller.

Thank you for listening, happy editing,

VASCO AMARAL - --NothingButAGoodNothing (talk) 01:04, 25 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Viktor Lischenko

[edit]

Hello A. Falcao, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I declined the speedy deletion of Viktor Lischenko - a page you tagged - because: Google would suggest that this player does exist and is in the FC Sheriff squad, see also alt spelling Lishchenko. . Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. Nancy talk 15:44, 28 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Walter Crook infobox

[edit]

Hi there, can I please ask why you converted the infobox from the correct {{Infobox football biography 2}} to the obsolete {{Infobox football biography}} on the Walter Crook article? Regards, GiantSnowman 08:22, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
