Reminder to participate in Wikipedia research

[edit]

Hello,

I recently invited you to take a survey about administration on Wikipedia. If you haven’t yet had a chance, there is still time to participate– we’d truly appreciate your feedback. The survey is anonymous and should take about 10-15 minutes to complete. You may read more about the study on its Meta page and view its privacy statement.

Take the survey here.

Kind Regards,

WMF Research Team

Hi Keith. Please would you kindly help with moving a page created in userspace, to the above page title which was previously used as a redirect? The userspace page is User:Storye book/editing/Sandbox 137. I have added a redlink in Clifton House School to prevent the new page from being an orphan, and will add more links to it later. Its talk page will need the following tags:

{{British English}} {{WikiProject banner shell|class=c |living=no |listas=Styan, Harold|1= {{WikiProject Biography }} {{WikiProject Education|importance=low}} {{WikiProject Yorkshire|importance=low}} {{WikiProject Theatre|importance=low}} }}

Note: You may spot that the Clifton House School page already has a large section on Harold Styan, but I cannot reduce that and insert a "main" template until the Harold Styan article has been published. (I am not asking for help with that bit, just explaining the situation). Sorry to have to ask you for help, but the system does not permit me to do the page move myself.

@Storye book: Hello, I have done the move for you & created talk page. I would change the early Harrogate usages to be West Riding of Yorkshire as North Yorkshire only applies after 1974. There is also a reference error in the middle of the page. Keith D (talk) 20:03, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you so much for that, Keith. I have mostly sorted out the Yorkshires, but it is still confusing. Was it, I wonder, in the North Riding in between the WRoY and NY? Thanks for the prompt about West Yorkshire, and the ref typo. I hope I have got it right now. I'll do my best to sort out any redirects, and the "what links here", today. Your help has been much appreciated. Storye book (talk) 09:35, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2024 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:17, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
