Help

It looks like this IP User talk:112.200.229.227 might actually be User:C.Gesualdo, and/or User:Max Eisenhardt; judging by their edits at Art of Europe and comments on the talk page. I hope I'm mistaken...Modernist (talk) 14:39, 12 May 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for letting me know, Modernist. I woke up and it was sorted out. Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:02, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

Hello there AaronCanton. It's okay. I was going to ask you to wait five minutes before your next edit at List of tallest statues. I just had a massive edit ready and you were editing at the same time. I managed to slip it in. I hope I didn't give you an edit conflict. So, all is well, I think. Thank you for adding those photos! Best wishes, and if there is anything you ever need or have any questions, please ask. Thank you, and happy editing. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 18:06, 15 May 2018 (UTC)

Infobox photo discussion

Hi. Can you offer your opinion in this discussion? Thanks. Nightscream (talk) 18:53, 15 May 2018 (UTC)

Oooh, I like these. Okay! :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:30, 15 May 2018 (UTC)

Conflict of Interest?

Hi Anna,

You mentioned that you removed links to the baijiu page I added because of an apparent conflict of interest. I don't believe I have added any links to the page, aside from internal links to other wikipedia articles. Can you please advise?

Derek — Preceding unsigned comment added by Derek Sandhaus (talkcontribs) 08:15, 17 May 2018 (UTC)

Hi Derek Sandhaus. Looking at the article history, when you edited, who you work for, and this edit, I'd say that was you. There is other evidence too which I will keep to myself. Please do not forget to log in. Please do not promote your company. Please edit neutrally. Please be honest. Thank you and happy editing. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:33, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
Hi Anna,
Odd. The editor you cited misspelled baijiu, has a New York IP address (I live in Jerusalem), and has commented on several things about which I have no interest. It wasn't me, nor do I know who it was. You are correct that I have been editing this page in great detail over the past few weeks, not to promote any of my personal business (I'm planning to add citations for all of my changes as soon as I have time to do so), but to correct a misleading entry that is full of factual errors and brand marketing spin. I regularly encounter people citing incorrect information that they read about baijiu on wikipedia, and this does everyone who wishes to learn about it a disservice. All of my edits have been done while I have been signed in under my own name (or at least it says my name at the top of my screen, I don't have a deep grasp of editing here yet). I don't appreciate the insinuation that I am trying to mislead or act selfishly, but I understand your concerns and will continue to edit honestly.
Derek — Preceding unsigned comment added by Derek Sandhaus (talkcontribs) 11:48, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
Hi Derek Sandhaus. The article gets 2 or 3 edits a month. Suddenly you edit. Sandwiched between your May 2 and 5 edits is this IP, likely a dynamic IP. The IP's edit summary starts "Adding..." There are lots of ways to start an edit summary. That is somewhat rare. See here for 2000 edits and other articles. The last time someone started an edit summary at Baijiu with "Adding..." was eight years ago.
Your 13:56, 5 May 2018‎ edit, 2 days later, started the same way with "Adding..." and added two external links, one of which at least is a company you work for. I've been here for a decade. I think it is very unlikely that IP edit was not you. Happy editing. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 13:26, 17 May 2018 (UTC)
Hi Anna,
Like I said, I didn't write that and think this is kind of crazy thing to accuse me of. I've been writing for over a decade and never promoted my work on Wikipedia, because I value it as an independent public resource. I know how to spell baijiu, I haven't edited with a vpn, and I don't work for Vinn (though I do like them). I'll happily defend any edit I made to the article, and can back them up with independent research, but I don't need to defend myself against false accusations. Please let me know if there is an appeals process, because I am disappointed that Wikipedia would allow unchallenged public questioning of my integrity.
Derek — Preceding unsigned comment added by Derek Sandhaus (talkcontribs) 13:40, 17 May 2018 (UTC)

Hi Derek Sandhaus. Understood. There were two external links added in this edit, one was Ming River. You may not work for Vinn, but you have a financial connection to Ming River, and a recent one too.
If you wish to appeal this "...public questioning of my integrity..." I guess you could ask other administrators at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Aside, the content you added is largely unsourced, and you did remove a lot of existing sources in your edits. I do suggest you source your additions because I do not wish them to be reverted. You are known in your field and your edits are valued here. Please source them.
Best wishes. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 13:53, 17 May 2018 (UTC)

Incident report

As noted earlier I have been updating the information when I time, which I don't have much of at the moment, and I just got to the end of the page today. The next step will be to add sources, which I hope to be able to do by the end of the month. I will also do my best to add back in any sources that may have been deleted in error. Thank you for pointing that out (again, I'm new to this). I repeat that I did not add either of the links related to me or my work that you have deleted. It's your right to censor other editors if you feel their contributions don't belong in the entry, and I wouldn't have noticed if you had not brought them to my attention. But until you delete your slanderous and untrue allegations against me, I'll be taking this matter up with the administrators. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Derek Sandhaus (talkcontribs) 15:29, 17 May 2018 (UTC) Information icon There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Pantheon-Sorbonne University

Hello, You told me to write to you if I have a question. I made some edits on Pantheon-Sorbonne University article and because an alumnus was reversing my edits, I created an account. I see that other accounts are trying to reverse my edits. I see three issues: 1. they want big vertical pictures for the building, especially many pictures of the Sorbonne, even though it is mainly the seat of Sorbonne University and Sorbonne Nouvelle University, and not the main seat of Pantheon-Sorbonne which is the Pantheon building, and many other building that are solely belonging to Paris I. I tried to find a middle-ground. 2. they want only the positive rankings to be in the introduction. So I removed them all. 3. the Tolbiac blockade issue was written in a deeply biased way ("unpopular president", "fascist", "cheerful and light-hearted", etc.) What to do if I still get reversed? Thanks, --Xuo Tran (talk) 15:00, 2 May 2018 (UTC)

Hello, Xuo Tran. This explains thing: Talk:Pantheon-Sorbonne University#Discussion about disputed April 29 to May 2, 2018 edits

Hello, Another account, perhaps the same user, is editing the page in the same way without talking. What to do? --Xuo Tran (talk) 07:16, 14 May 2018 (UTC)

Checking.... Anna Frodesiak (talk) 07:17, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
Hi Xuo Tran. I reverted and asked editors to use talk page first in the edit summary. Would you consider the IP's edits disputed by you? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:02, 14 May 2018 (UTC)
Hi, regarding the IP edits, partially yes, but there aren’t so wrong. The last edit of Epée, he did not actually put the last rankings but only changed the overall date, so it is disputed too. And MapChecker is editing exactly with the same way of the other accounts, and it is perhaps the same users (as Epée, IP addresses, Marco Caroso, etc.) It should be reverted. Shouldn't the article be protected for a long period of time to prevent this kind of thing in the future?
Moreover, I understood that personal attacks are prohibited on Wikipedia. Isn't what Epée wrote just an indictment against me rather than content talking?
Thanks for your help Anna.
--Xuo Tran (talk) 09:43, 16 May 2018 (UTC)
Hi Xuo Tran.
I have reverted both of the edits, as you can see.
It appears that there were discussions and no consensus. I have therefore protected the article for 3 days and warned Epée.
I am not convinced those editors are the same people, but it is certainly possible. If I see evidence, I will act.
I am not convinced there was a personal attack against you that is worth a warning. If I'm missing something, please let me know by quoting the phrase. I just do not see it.

Anna Frodesiak (talk) 12:29, 16 May 2018 (UTC)
Hello,
Thank you!
Regarding the personal attacks, it is true he lessened the attacks originally made, but "I also suspect the judgement of Xuo Tran is clouded", "Xuo Tran has disturbed irremediably the peace of Wikipedia community", "Xuo Tran deliberately diminishes the school", "Xuo Tran's editing, disregarding the well-researched and reasonable arguments advanced by me and others", "Xuo Tran has ignored criticisms and challenges systematically, all my points raised in the talk page were disregarded with disrepect for Wikipedia community's rules, showing no consideration for contributing to the quality of Wikipedia page", don't sound very friendly to me. But I don't really know Wikipedia rules about such statements.
Regarding the accounts, I see that that account exist only since two year ago, but he is here speaking about three years ago.
Anyway, I try to discuss in talk page, let see if he will be more cooperative now.
Thanks,
--Xuo Tran (talk) 22:40, 18 May 2018 (UTC)
Those statements by User:EpéeDeLaProvidence are not really personal attacks, in my view. EpéeDeLaProvidence, rather than, "...Xuo Tran deliberately diminishes the school..." comment on the edits and not the editor with "...Xuo Tran's edits deliberately diminishes the school...". Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:12, 18 May 2018 (UTC)

Hello, I initiated talks on the dedicated page, yet received no response. Thank you for intervening.

Although it is unfortunate that I must disagree with your mitigating approach. Xuo Tran's editing has provoked several reactions, by introducing political sensitive and recent happening (which have not received thorough investigation or tribunal judgement), Xuo Tran has disturbed irremediably the peace of Wikipedia community.

The university page has not witness such agitation and polirizing opinions for more than 3 years. I have been silently monitoring and maintaining the page for years out of citizen's responsibility. Then came a new user Xuo Tran introducing content that has been contested by several Wikipedia users (not just me), the damage has been severe.

Therefore, I would like to ask you to revert the page back to 09:43, 18 April 2018 version. Prior to the editing war. Your current intervention favours one party (Xuo Tran's party) over others. I find the operation problematic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EpéeDeLaProvidence (talkcontribs)

Please see here for an explanation. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:26, 16 May 2018 (UTC)

Hello,

Again an article edit without any talking. (The change of Holliniv is not a problem, it is the following ones.)

--Xuo Tran (talk) 12:36, 20 May 2018 (UTC)

Reverted. Please engage the editor at talk. They have initiated discussion. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 12:41, 20 May 2018 (UTC)
And you can see I answered each time, but they never follow up nor take into account what I write. --Xuo Tran (talk) 12:43, 20 May 2018 (UTC)

Hello,

As you can see, the user is now making a catalogue of every school inside Paris 1 university, and is opening some kind of blog article on the "Sorbonne name dispute": https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/MapcheckerParis

--Xuo Tran (talk) 16:33, 21 May 2018 (UTC)

Why is this an issue for you? The article on the Sorbonne name dispute is not a blog article. Do not distort the facts. On the other hand you are vandalizing the Bibliothèque de la Sorbonne article. Your statement about the source is false. Please do not vandalize the article (first warning).MapcheckerParis (talk) 00:31, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
Xuo Tran, if you think this is a blog article, then you may modify it or nominate it for deletion. What exactly are you asking me to do about it? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 02:59, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
Do any of these allegations need any proof to be actionable by you? It seems to me that you simply take User:Xuo Tran's word for it, and disregard any concrete verifiable evidence I put forward.MapcheckerParis (talk) 08:00, 22 May 2018 (UTC)
MapcheckerParis, please understand that my role in all of this is as an administrator. If there has been a policy violation that is actionable, please say. I can help with that. Otherwise, you two sort it out at article talk pages and do not edit war. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:10, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

MapcheckerParis, Xuo Tran, my patience is nearing an end. This disruption must end, one way or the other. Discuss things back and forth at article talk pages and come to an agreement about what should be in the articles. It is as simple as that. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:10, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

Hello, regarding the nomination for deletion, I try to read the process, but it is really too complicated, especially the process when the different articles are linked. The different pages are Sorbonne Law School (Ecole de Droit de la Sorbonne) (I see it has already been deleted in French: https://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Discussion:%C3%89cole_de_droit_de_la_Sorbonne/Suppression ), Sorbonne Publishing, Sorbonne Art School, Sorbonne Business School for notability, and Sorbonne name dispute for blog article. Sorry I do not understand how to do it. --Xuo Tran (talk) 09:30, 22 May 2018 (UTC)

Xuo Tran, see where it says "Does this look too complicated?" after clicking WP:AFDHOWTO? That is definitely the easiest way. Be advised that any or all of the articles you wish to delete may not be suitable for deletion nomination. Be sure to read WP:BEFORE thoroughly before deciding. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 00:01, 23 May 2018 (UTC)
Thanks! --Xuo Tran (talk) 17:34, 23 May 2018 (UTC)

Hello, In spite of your warning, EpéeDeLaProvidence has reverted the article to his version (refering to a non-existent tacit consensus). --Xuo Tran (talk) 08:17, 26 May 2018 (UTC) Mapchecker changes are ok, we agreed on this. --Xuo Tran (talk) 08:18, 26 May 2018 (UTC)

Consensus is achieved, the proof is that Xuo Tran has no objection to my input. If Xuo Tran has any objection, yet refuses to act cooperatively at the Talk page, then he is in holding in contempt Wikipedia community code of conduct.

I will be happy to compromise, but seeing that Xuo Tran is either uncooperative or tacitly supportive, I am entitled to act, unless clear rule states otherwise, in which case, competent and impartial editor such as you will kindly remind me of their existence. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by EpéeDeLaProvidence (talkcontribs) 19:13, 26 May 2018 (UTC)

EpéeDeLaProvidence, you are now blocked for 2 weeks after being sufficiently warned and then twice restoring disputed edits. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:24, 26 May 2018 (UTC)

Eon

Seems like a ton of time has gone by. Thank you for commenting on my page. I probably could use some help. Bleucheeses (talk) 11:24, 30 May 2018 (UTC)

Razan al-Najar photo

I noticed you changed the version of the Razan al-Najar photo and I would like to know why; you did not provide any reason in your edit summary and the version you reverted to is much more grainy than the other version; the whole point of having the photo is for easy visual identification of the subject, not to just have a placeholder in the infobox. You said "see subject article talk" but there are only wikiproject banners there, no reasoning.--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 01:39, 5 June 2018 (UTC)

I'm so sorry PlanespotterA320. First edit of the day, and I clicked the wrong thing, so the edit summary is on the previous edit. Please see Talk:Razan al-Najar and I will join you there. Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 01:43, 5 June 2018 (UTC)

A guess

I think I'll need your help! I'd like you to realize it's not a cut and dried thing on here; there are plenty or more than enough difficult people on the site. I can't avoid them all and even if I wanted to (which probably I don't) they pop up... I think you quite likely avoid or steer your way around them by using avoidance maneuvers, maybe not even consciously. I am not willing to leave whole topics and fields to the whims of whoever.

Could be incorrect in saying you pick and choose where you edit. It's not a huge deal either way; my point is this site has many critics. A lot does not work correctly and nothing appears likely to change soon. I will not choose an easy path but one that can be valued, even across an encylopedia like this one. Bleucheeses (talk) 12:27, 5 June 2018 (UTC)

Hi Bleucheeses. You just say how I can help, and I'll do my best. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 18:29, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
Done deal, certainly taking you up on that offer. Here are the talk pages for the top 4 pages currently having problems: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:2017_Atlantic_hurricane_season, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:, and en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Michael_Jackson, en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:Amy_Adams, and en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Talk:America%27s_Got_Talent_(season_13) Bleucheeses (talk) 03:12, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
Hi Bleucheeses. I'm not exactly clear how you want me to help. Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 05:01, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
On the AGT season 13 page I had put that there were three golden buzzer winners on the show (one from the Judges Cuts round). The relevance to the current season is that a golden buzzer winner will quite likely win this season also. Hiwilms is disputing that as you can see from the talk page. I guess if you read the talk page you will see what people are saying lately. On the Michael Jackson page I have made a couple minor edits with no problems. I had added the new documentary that was on ABC TV and that was contested by a user. I also put some info about the patent with the shoe for moonwalking - I'll put that one back in a day or two and see what happens. Twice I asked to have a couple edits posted. The way talk pages work or do not work on here is that people ignore them often - they wait for you to edit, then dispute the edits.
On the hurricane page we may have hit upon a resolution - too early yet to say. You can read the talk page. On the page for Amy Adams you could review the edits I made. Just because the article won FAC and certain statuses doesn't mean that it can't be edited for clarity, etc. Plus the BOLD philosophy on Wikipedia applies to it too. Bleucheeses (talk) 05:10, 6 June 2018 (UTC)
Okay, I think I understand the problems you are having. But what specifically do you want me to do to help? Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 06:05, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

Anna Frodesiak, could you look at those four pages and talk pages? I don't have that many edits, maybe 1000. Bleucheeses (talk) 06:09, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

Okay, I've read parts of those pages and a lot of what you've written. Here is what I see:
 • You are canvassing.
 • You are saying things to people that are insulting and aggressive.
 • You, with 792 edits, are telling vastly more experienced editors what's what.
Here is my advice:
 • Please do not canvass.
 • Please be polite and respectful.
 • Please learn from others.
 • Please be patient with articles.
 • Please read and follow WP:BRD. You were told about that before you were blocked.
Best wishes,
Anna Frodesiak (talk) 07:19, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

This is not help! I have tried to be very civil and other users do not listen. Also it is very hard to get anyone to do anything on here. You almost have to go to noticeboards. Bleucheeses (talk) 07:32, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

You like many others assume things! I have vast experience and I am not going to comment further about that. People have real lives and occupations. Bleucheeses (talk) 07:33, 6 June 2018 (UTC)

I saw that you can't use Flickr or Google

I just saw that you can't use Flickr or Google to search for biographical images because of your location. I'm very sorry to hear that so just ping me with any search requests if you need them. I honestly don't know where I would be without Google or other websites. If you are ever unable to get to Wikipedia there's a myriad of mirror sites and transclusions available like revolvy.com and VPNs.--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 13:30, 5 June 2018 (UTC)

Thank you so much, PlanespotterA320. That is very, very kind of you. I'm guessing you've already tried Flickr for a freebie of Razan al-Najar. I asked at IRC but it was the middle of the night in the west at the time and nobody answered my request.
Yes, no Google is really bad. Idiotic bing, and no Google books! As for mirror sites, they certainly would be good to have if Wikipedia get blocked.
What's really annoying is that now http://www.tineye.com/ seems blocked. Though, these blocked sites often become available again. The great firewall works in mysterious ways. :)
Best wishes and thank you again! Anna Frodesiak (talk) 18:11, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
I've checked Flickr under every spelling variation I could think of but there were no acceptably-licenced-for-Commons photos of her on Flickr. I think the best chance of getting a free file is 1. Waiting for the news coverage of the story to decrease to the point that a media company would be willing to release a photograph of her due to a decreased commercial value to the photo. CNN took video of Najar about a month before her death and maybe in a month or two we could get them to let us use a screenshot, but that is not likely given that even years after the death of Natalya Estemirova Reuters wouldn't release us a photo. 2. Waiting for her family to donate a photograph to a non-profit third party that would be able to release it to Commons (ex, an anonymous human rights activist snapped a photo of Mohamed Cheikh Ould Mkhaitir and donated it to the International Humanist and Ethical Union, who then released it to Commons. I'm keeping my eyes peeled and if we can't get a better photo in a few months I'll send out release requests. Again, please don't send any "Google searches" through me; I'm really to come across another writing Wikipedian.--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 19:43, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
Hi PlanespotterA320. Understood about the image. Actually, the current one is fine with me, and probably with the owner. It's super low res., and if you don't want to go to the trouble, consider just leaving it. It is a good pic in that it shows her at work. Now, the last part about google searches, I don't understand. Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 20:27, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
Since Bing is such a pain just ping me with your search request, ex "Aeroflot Tupolev-104 crash February 1981" and I'll put it through google and send you all the info I found. And if there's a book from Google books you want to check just ping me the title or ISBN and keywords, (Ex, "Tupolev: The Man and His Aircraft", keyword Aeroflot) then I will tell you what it says in relation to the keywords and on what pages if numbered. Because of copyright I'm not sure about putting a book-paragraph in quotes so I will put it in the <!--- --> brackets and you can just read the source text on the page. Or I could email you if you are somehow able to use Gmail, but I'm under the impression it's also blocked. As for the sketchup of a Detachable pod aircraft, I'm happy to do it, but will need a rough sketch first. Just upload a simple sketch to commons (doesn't need dimensions or anything fancy) and I will try my best to put it into sketchup. --PlanespotterA320 (talk) 20:41, 5 June 2018 (UTC)
Oh, I understand now. You wrote "don't", so I was confused. Actually, that is very kind of you to offer, but I will manage with Bing. I do not do a heck of a lot of writing anymore, so it is okay. Also, asking someone to do search engine searches like that is a heck of an imposition. I'd rather see you continuing to write your wonderful articles on Russian women.
As for the pod thing, I will maybe try to draw something. Images on the net show the basic thing, so perhaps you could think of an image layout that would really show readers what it looks like - the plane with the pod attached, and then maybe an arrow pointing to the pod itself beside it with a person or something for scale. It sounds like quite a chore, so pass on that if you like. Besides, the article only gets around 3k hits a year.
Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 21:06, 5 June 2018 (UTC)

From Gupta Dindayal

Hello there,

Thanks for the attention and sparing your valuable time to write to me. I was explaining the ASO process in a step-by-step manner that would help anyone to optimize their app for a better search visibility. Keyword research is always followed by placing the textual information regarding the app in a right way that is read by the app store algorithm as well as the users. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Gupta Dindayal (talkcontribs) 04:56, 15 June 2018 (UTC)

Thanks for telling me that, Gupta Dindayal. However, that is not what I asked about. Please answer the question I asked at your talk page below my question. Thank you. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 05:00, 15 June 2018 (UTC)

Final warning

Hi Anna,

Thank you for your concern about my edit article.

For 100plus article: It was created in 1983 and named 100PLUS to commemorate 100 years of Fraser & Neave in Asia.

100OPLUS was launched in Malaysia in 1983 and named 100PLUS to commemorate 100 years of Fraser & Neave in Asia.

The Synonyms of: Created-- develop in mind or physically Launched-- inaugurate, institute, or to start (a program or business)

For Example, XXX created 100PLUS idea, but still improving and finally officially launched in 1983.

Hope you able to accept my explanation about.

Thank you, Michelle — Preceding unsigned comment added by Michelle glennie (talkcontribs) 05:53, 5 July 2018 (UTC)

Hi Michelle glennie. Thank you so much for writing to me.
My concern is about copy pasting. That means when you copy text from some website and then add it to an article at Wikipedia exactly how it was at the website. You are not allowed to do that. You must rewrite it in your own words. Do you understand what I mean? Best wishes, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 06:00, 5 July 2018 (UTC)

You may have noticed it didn't stick - 24 h later, right back at reverting [1]. Maybe you'll have to interdict for a little longer now :/ --Elmidae (talk · contribs) 13:58, 9 July 2018 (UTC)

Hi Anna the word Bananus is the common word for the black tip on the bottom of a banana. I searched Wikipedia and could not find a reference to this word. Spelling

Hey AF, just a note that on your user page you spelled "color" wrong, where it says "Colour picker 1", etc. Just thought I'd alert you to this. North America1000 13:46, 30 July 2018 (UTC)

British spelling. I'm from London originally and that was taught to me by my dear Mum. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 13:53, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
I guess I fooled you (I knew it was British). Just joking around. Anyway, what are you working on on the Wiki lately? North America1000 18:40, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
Hello, dear friend. Working on?
Well, I started CMA CGM 22,000 TEU container ships and will expand it when new info comes along. It will likely get split into 9 articles. Does it need a hyphen?
I started a bit of TOOSOON, GNG-failing, AfD fodder, titled ORB (disco ball).
Following serious introspection after creating that, I was inspired to create the pointless nanodumbbell, an article which is ironically less stupid than the thing itself. It has a graphic that I created which is stupider than both the article and the subject, quite an accomplishment - a sort of hat trick of stupidity. The image conveys, as the British say, "bugger all".
So, now, I'm having early morning tea, will ask you two questions, and then do some UAA:
1. What are you working on these days?
2. If you (or someone stalking this page), providing you are not afraid of your real-life name at Wikipedia, like the character Bebe Glazer from the show Fraiser, would you be willing to write to her at her Facebook page asking for a photo?
Oh, and I finally uploaded a photo of Carrefour pizza (Miracle Whip instead of cheese! Mmmmmmmmmmmmyyyeeeukkk!).
Best wishes,
Anna Frodesiak (talk) 21:24, 30 July 2018 (UTC)
Disco

The orb has actually received a decent amount of news coverage. I haven't been to Burning Man yet, but it's on my bucket list. Heck, Burning Man would be worth going to just to check out the 30 ton disco ball. Plus, it's a big party with a bunch of crazy hippies! Woo hoo!

CMA CGM 22,000 TEU container ships is interesting. Anything that will be the largest in the world (when completed) is going to be of interest to some readers. With some expansion, this could become a DYK entry (hint, hint).

Regarding the Nanodumbbell article, it is what it is, but I wouldn't characterize it as dumb. My idea is that if something can be made to spin 60 billion times per minute, this could theoretically be applied to powering electrical turbines to generate electricity on the cheap. After all, turbines spin. That's right. Nobody will likely listen to this idea though, so I send it to you. Also, the energy used to create the spinning would have to be less than the energy created for it to be feasible. I'm full of ideas.

Regarding use of real names: I decided long ago to not reveal it. For a long time, I didn't even state which country I live in. I finally added a "this user lives in the U.S." userbox to my user page. That may be about as far as I go. The whole Facebook fiasco with people's personal information being outed has only solidified my notions of not revealing personal details.

I haven't published many new articles lately; for whatever reasons, I have burned out a bit on it. However, this may change sometime, but I'm not certain when. List of buckwheat dishes was the most recent one. I've been doing a lot of gnomish work on articles and AfD stuff (closing discussions, relistings, deletion sorting, etc). For some time I've been patrolling new articles published out of Articles for creation, which often have minor errors that need fixing. I've been going through some biographical articles and nominating some for deletion that don't meet notabiliy standards (importantly, as per WP:BEFORE, not only based upon the sourcing in the articles (WP:NEXIST). I plan on doing another run of article creations sometime, but not ready to get started yet. North America1000 15:54, 31 July 2018 (UTC)

Also, I remember that you don't like marmite. So, to even the score, I'll let you know that I don't like Miracle Whip. It just tastes weird. Blech. Just use mayonnaise! North America1000 16:09, 31 July 2018 (UTC)

Whirling dervishes, at 57 billion revolutions per minute, were gutted to have their record broken.
Hi, North America.
Burning Man would be quite something to see.
I won't DYK the ships, but any stalker is welcome to.
No worries about the Bebe thing. Anon is best, especially for admins.
What you are working on is good and useful.
Marmite and Miracle Whip are both gross. Also gross is Marmot, a sandwich spread described as "a bit rodenty".

The Grateful Dead broke up on 1995. There's been various shows with band members, but it was never the same imo. I was always much more a fan of the music, rather than the "scene". North America1000 05:34, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
Good. Those scenes have drugs and such. I listened to the Grateful Dead recently and quite liked it. I think you have good taste in music. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 05:42, 5 August 2018 (UTC)

Just say ugh to drugs and nope to dope. However, alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, etc. is fine! Ha. If you can access youtube, here's a bit [2]. A saying about them is "they're not the best at what they do, but they're the only one's that do what they do". Dead scene drugs included LSD, psilocybin mushrooms, cannabis, that sort of thing. Some considered them to be mind expanding relative to the music. North America1000 05:50, 5 August 2018 (UTC)

No tube, oh well. Actually, tobacco sucks. I was trying to make a joke, but bleh. Here's the same show I posted above, on Internet Archive: [3]. I like the Slipknot, pretty spacey stuff. North America1000 06:11, 5 August 2018 (UTC)

Arhatic yoga

Hello again Anna Frodesiak. I recently noticed the recreation of Arhatic yoga. Because of the length of time and since I cannot read previous versions, it's unclear if I should tag them (Pranic healing and Arhatic yoga) for WP:G4. G4 states that a previous deletion discussion should exist; we indirectly have this for Choa Kok Sui. They are now both redirects to Energy medicine. I wrote about my concerns at Talk:Arhatic yoga. Since you were one of the administrators who deleted related page(s), I thought it'd be a good idea to ask. Thanks, —PaleoNeonate20:27, 4 August 2018 (UTC)

Hi PaleoNeonate. Did I delete related pages? Which? Thanks. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 20:41, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
I was likely mistaken: you creation-protected Master Choa Kok Sui. —PaleoNeonate21:15, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
Hi PaleoNeonate. Okay. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 21:19, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
So no G4 necessary? I'll keep those redirects on my watchlist anyway. Thanks again, —PaleoNeonate08:22, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
Hi PaleoNeonate. The talk pages definitely need to remain. I see no reason to delte the articles themselves. The content is safely in the history. Usually, when one boldy redirects an article to another without merge, the whole thing is kept. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 00:34, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
Thanks again, —PaleoNeonate01:50, 10 August 2018 (UTC)

User Time left

hi Anna, Thank you. Per me the block is completely justified. You may know this already but the said editor was continuing disruptions on several WP:ARBIPA articles. I make it a habit of templating the disruptive editors as the talk page provides a log of such things. I was not sure if I should Template a blocked editor but then for the sake of logging purpose i went ahead and templated him. I understand your revert. its ok. Just wanted to explain my actions as well. cheers and have a great day ahead. --DBigXray 12:32, 2 September 2018 (UTC)

Hi DBigXray. Understood. Please put it back if you wish, but it could be considered to be grave dancing or a bit antagonistic. If you do put it back, please consider removing the part about being blocked if you continue... Best wishes. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 12:39, 2 September 2018 (UTC)
Nah, I agree with your justification. Plus I feel it to be a cardinal sin to revert an admin "doing the right thing" :D . The Talk page history has already logged my report for any future reviewer, so my logging purpose has already been served.--DBigXray 12:42, 2 September 2018 (UTC)

The diffs

Dear Anna Frodesiak: the list with diffs may not be short, I’m afraid, and I’ll compile step by step today. Please let me know when you get bored by this, and I’ll stop, since I much prefer to contribute content.
Some background info for you: since late August this year, I maintain the pages about the two recognized lion subspecies Panthera leo leo and Panthera leo melanochaita. The understanding of their geographical distribution changed when lion taxonomy was revised in 2017 (see Kitchener et al. 2017 ref’ed in both pages). This group of authors did not give new vernacular names to the subspecies, therefore imo the use of Latin names as page titles are appropriate.
The other editor has a different opinion re use of names and created a page titled ‘East-Southern African lion’, see https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=East-Southern_African_lion&diff=next&oldid=858303919 on 6 Sept without page talk discussion, but essentially a very similar content as in Panthera leo melanochaita. More soon. -- BhagyaMani (talk) 12:58, 23 September 2018 (UTC)

In the following list with diffs, I refer to the page titled Panthera leo melanochaita as 1) and to duplicates in East-Southern African lion as 2), but sparing small details like refs that I checked and changed in 1):

Next, I will refer to the page titled Panthera leo leo as 3), to duplicates in ‘Northern lion’ as 4), and in ‘African lion’ as 5) starting with:

More soon. -- BhagyaMani (talk) 14:09, 23 September 2018 (UTC)

I think I caught most of the duplicated content now. -- BhagyaMani (talk) 14:49, 23 September 2018 (UTC)

Just discovered another one:

I changed a few images in 1) when I found the same ones used with same captions in 2) and/or 5). -- BhagyaMani (talk) 15:15, 23 September 2018 (UTC)

Hi BhagyaMani.
Okay, I see two issues, only one of which is my concern.
When User:Leo1pard takes content from one article and puts it into another, without rewriting it, and it appears from diffs that he has done that, there needs to be attribution. For that, see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. User:Leo1pard, as you have been pinged, please attribute.
Whether or not the content should appear in two articles at once is another matter. Like I said at your talk page, somtimes it is okay, often not. Considering this is about cats, that I know little about cats, and that I do not like cats because they have a serious attitude problem, it is best to ask the cat people at Wikipedia:WikiProject Cats about that.
So, thanks for the diffs. Just one or two pointed out the missing attribution. The rest you can show to people at Project Cats for opinions there.
Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 20:10, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
And I thank you. -- BhagyaMani (talk) 20:16, 23 September 2018 (UTC)

Anna Frodesiak I see, but what about the fact that after BhagyMani had turned Panthera leo leo into an article separate from either Barbary lion or Northern lion, both of which he worked on, like here, I had talked to him about the complexities of doing such a thing, but he proceeded to turn Panthera leo melanochaita into an article of its own, separate from Cape lion and what is now East-Southern African lion (formerly Southern lion, and contrary to what he said, I did talk about it before renaming it), and BhagyaMani also worked on both of these articles, like even after turning Panthera leo melanochaita into an article, and it was after I thought that I had convinced BhagyaMani that Panthera leo leo and Panthera leo melanochaita should respectively be redirected to Northern lion and what is now East-Southern African lion, and BhagyaMani did not reply until 3 days later, that I changed Panthera leo melanochaita, Panthera leo leo, East-Southern African lion and Northern lion, to be able to merge Panthera leo leo and Panthera leo melanochaita into Northern lion and East-Southern African lion respectively (since BhagyaMani did not seem to oppose what I said in the talk-page for the main article about merging them, during the time-being), before BhagyaMani opposed my attempt to merge them, thus proving wrong my assumption that I had convinced him to have them merged? Leo1pard (talk) 06:12, 24 September 2018 (UTC)

Hi, Leo1pard. What does all of that have to do with attribution? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 07:09, 24 September 2018 (UTC)
The issue of attribution that you and BhagyaMani have been talking about is actually part of a bigger issue involving the splitting of Panthera leo leo from Barbary lion, and Panthera leo melanochaita from Cape lion, and subsequent attempts to merge Panthera leo leo with Northern lion, and Panthera leo melanochaita with East-Southern African lion. Before the 29th of August, Panthera leo leo was a redirect to Barbary lion, Panthera leo melanochita was a redirect to Cape lion, and both BhagyaMani and I have been working on Northern lion and East-Southern African lion. Then on the 28th of August, in the article Barbary lion, he turned Panthera leo leo into a link, without saying in any talk-page what he wanted to do, and since Panthera leo leo was still a redirect to Barbary lion at that time, he essentially made a self-link in the article Barbary lion. Then on the 29th of August, he replaced the link to the article Northern lion with Panthera leo leo in pages like Asiatic lion, even before turning Panthera leo leo into an article of its own, without saying what he wanted to do in any of the relevant talk-pages. After he turned Panthera leo leo into an article of its own, his intention became clear to me, and decided to talk to him about merging Panthera leo leo and Panthera leo melanochaita into Northern lion and Southern lion, and after I talked about merging them on the 6th of September, he did not say anything there for almost 3 days, instead doing other edits like this during the time being, so I thought I had convinced him to have them merged, and proceeded to merge them on the 8th of September, but then he reverted my changes. To put it simply, BhagyaMani doesn't always let people know what he knows or thinks in talk-pages like this or that of the article that of the article Lion, or he doesn't always let people know what they may want to know. For example, as of now, he did not say what an "East African lion" is in the article Panthera leo melanochaita, whereas in the article East-Southern African lion, which he to an extent modeled Panthera leo melanochaita (and I can say that because I turned East-Southern African lion, formerly Southern lion, and Northern lion into articles, and subsequently modified them with the help of others, including BhagyaMani, weeks before he turned Panthera leo leo and Panthera leo melanochaita into articles), whereas I would say in talk-pages about what I would do, for example, I talked about merging Panthera leo leo and Panthera leo melanochaita into Northern lion and East-Southern African lion respectively, including to him, more than a day before doing attempting that. Leo1pard (talk) 08:29, 24 September 2018 (UTC)
That is WP:TLDR. I am sorry. You cannot expect anyone to read these walls of text. Please read up on attribution and attribute. It does not matter where the source came from or went. You have to attribute. Please take content disputes to the dispute resolution noticeboard or ask for guidance from project cats. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 09:19, 24 September 2018 (UTC)
Hi, after BhagyaMani said this to me, I decided to avoid engaging BhagyaMani in any argument or discussion, but then he changes his mind and decides to engage me in an argument later, when he sees an opportunity, forcing me to make a reply. Was this supposed to happen? Leo1pard (talk) 13:05, 25 September 2018 (UTC)

Hi Knightrises10. I think if you come on IRC (make any nickname and join #wikipedia-en), we could have a private chat, which would be helpful. If that is not convenient, please say. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 20:22, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
If this is something you wish to do, please post here to alert me that you are on IRC. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 21:38, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
Sorry for the delay, we have different times. I'm not much aware of IRC but I might be able to join if you say so. But we both have to be online, right? So I'll not be able to do so for the next few hours. Knightrises10 (talk) 01:42, 24 September 2018 (UTC)

Uh, I dunno. Guess you got some work to do! North America1000 23:57, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
I did. I looked and looked. No lists. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:59, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
And Talk:Forests of Canada#Possible page move? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:59, 23 September 2018 (UTC)
I haven't thought it over enough yet to comment there. However, by not making it a list, it can then be expanded in content easier compared to being in list format. North America1000 01:59, 24 September 2018 (UTC)
True. And maybe it could even absorb some orbiting articles, like Provincial forest. Maybe it could be both list and article and then the list could break away at some point. Hmmmmm. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 02:09, 24 September 2018 (UTC)
I commented at the talk page. North America1000 15:15, 24 September 2018 (UTC)

These look better compared to the one you described to me that you ate. North America1000 22:41, 24 September 2018 (UTC)
They do. However, it is never the best food to choose. All dough and meat and fat. That can't be good. Odd how some people never eat raw veggies or even cooked veggies. I know someone who eats maybe 1 lb of greens a year. The rest is all meat and starch. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 22:51, 24 September 2018 (UTC)
Dough, meat and fat...good hangover food! Wash it all down with a sugary soft drink and you have the four hangover food groups. Hey, I eat veggies: potatoes and mushy peas, that's good enough. Ha ha. Actually, a balanced diet helps out in life. North America1000 05:41, 25 September 2018 (UTC)

Nosey question

Hi, Anna. Here's a personal question, which of course you don't have to answer, and please feel free to tell me to mind my own fucking business if you like. (Or the same sentiment in either more polite or even less polite terms, if you prefer.) For a long time I just assumed that "Anna Frodesiak" was your real name, without really giving it a thought, until some years ago I read a post from another editor pointing out the pun. Once I had seen it, it was so glaringly obvious that I couldn't imagine how I could have missed it so long. Ever since then I have still thought of you as "Anna", but I find every time I come across you in the course of editing I am distracted by wondering whether you really are named Anna or not. If you would be willing to settle it with a yeah or a nay that would help to settle my mind.

(As I have stated on my user page for many years, and implied in my signature for a smaller number of years, my name isn't really "James". However, my real name is not a totally guarded secret: there are dozens of editors who know my real first name, and a few who know my full personal identity.)

Totally irrelevant piece of information: my wife's first name is Anna.

The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 20:23, 25 September 2018 (UTC)

Is your wife a secret Wikipedia editor by any chance? Theroadislong (talk) 20:31, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
If she is then she's so secretive about it that she doesn't let me know. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 10:26, 26 September 2018 (UTC)
I may be able to answer this one. The user name is actually an anagram for another secret phrase, such as those below. North America1000 21:00, 25 September 2018 (UTC)
 • Afrikaans node
 • Aidan forsaken
 • Diana forsaken
 • Dianna forsake
 • forsaken Nadia
 • Aaron ask fiend
 • More here, just c/p the name. Flashing bulbB

Sorry for the late reply. Actually, yeah and nay at the same time because "Anna" is very close but not exact. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 02:25, 27 September 2018 (UTC)

OK, don't tell me. I can now amuse myself by speculating whether it's Ann, Anne, Annie, Ana, Annabel, Ani, Angie, .... The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 15:03, 27 September 2018 (UTC)

Help

Greeting! I am from a Serbian Wikipedia and I need help on making an article about Serbian actress and journalist. The page is here. Because I'm not Autoconfirmed, I can not move the page and link it to a page in Serbian Wikipedia. Thank you. Serbian Nickmen (talk) 11:20, 3 October 2018 (UTC)

Serbian Nickmen, I'm about to be really busy off-wiki at the moment. Maybe a page stalker can help, or ask someone else. I see some issues, by the way. Is that photo really your own work? Did you have an account here before? Sorry I can't help right now. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 11:40, 3 October 2018 (UTC)
Thank you for your prompt response! I contacted some other administrators, there is currently an interview with some of them. The picture is not exactly my work, I posted it under a free license in Serbian Wikipedia, so I tried it here, but it's not the same principle of uploading. Нисам имао налог овде. Hi Anna Frodesiak! I was going through reports at UAA and saw this account listed. Looking into the account's edits, I noticed that you deleted the user's sandbox under G11 (and correctly so) and added the promotional username hard block notification (uw-spamublock) to the user's talk page, but you didn't actually block the account... lol. I'm just letting you know that I took care of that for you, as I assumed that you meant to do so ;-). If this is not correct, let me know and I'll be happy to work with you to fix it. Cheers :-) ~Oshwah~(talk) (contribs) 08:33, 9 October 2018 (UTC)

Pakepake for you!

Outstanding cover art on user page
Your cover is great... how did you do it?

(Oh, I uploaded it to Wiki-Commons and then placed it somewhere in the script) No offense intended. Rebestalic (talk) 08:23, 11 October 2018 (UTC)

Pakepake is a term from the Maori language meaning "applause" or "congratulations". Love from New Zealand.

Thank you, Rebestalic!! :) I'm not sure how I did it. Click edit at the userpage and you will see some sort of clue at the top.
I'm not sure what you mean by "(Oh, I uploaded it to Wiki-Commons and then placed it somewhere in the script)". I do not see it uploaded by you at commons or here.
Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 08:46, 11 October 2018 (UTC)
Thank you too. Just a clarification: "(Oh, I uploaded it to Wiki-Commons and then placed it somewhere in the script)" was a sarcastic example of you replying to me; that is, you might have replied to me with "Oh, I uploaded it to Wiki-Commons and then placed it somewhere in the script". I hope that helps.

Logan Marr

Hi, Anna! When I archived some pages about the Death of Logan Marr I saw your userbox draft page come up on the list of Wikipedia articles linking to a PBS page. (see page) Since though the user draft page was deleted, I wasn't sure if you were interested in working on this article or if you had thought about it.

WhisperToMe (talk) 10:45, 12 October 2018 (UTC)

Hi, WhisperToMe. Long time. I'm totally confused. :) My userbox what now? How am I connected here? Best wishes, and nice to hear from you. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 11:13, 12 October 2018 (UTC)
Sorry.. I meant the userspace draft page. Each archive.is archive snapshot keeps track of which wiki (meaning any wiki) pages link to it. It can include articles, subpages, etc. The pages seem to stay listed even when they are deleted. Based on the list it seems like one of the draft pages (at User:Anna Frodesiak/Orange sandbox) at one time used the article as a source. Anyway, nice to hear from you too! WhisperToMe (talk) 11:27, 12 October 2018 (UTC)
Ah, I see now. Actually, that site is blocked here in China. And looking here, I think it's too much to look through. Hi Velella. Long time. :) Side swipe? That was a direct hit. And the one right after was even harder. But not so brave. A star with lazyosis
I think there's some BS with people always saying they're afraid of clowns, not you, just other people; seems too common. Not scary at all, really. If lazyosis is chronic, then it's ironic that the chronic can cause lazyosis in some people. North America1000 21:19, 19 October 2018 (UTC)
Really, I totally believe anyone who says they are scared of clowns. I find them utterly horrifying. I think it's about the unknown. Its real self is completely concealed by its false, happy face.
Lazyosis is chronic and so is cannabis. I loathe the stuff. With heroin, one knows it's terrible. Cannabis is a wolf in sheep's clothing. A clever wolf. It gets users to befriend it, and defend it. They say it is the solution to their problems. But it is the reason for the problems because of the lethargy, procrastination, and lowered IQ that it produces. Scary stuff with a happy exterior. You know you're addicted when you defend it. Recognizing and despising its insidiousness is the way out. Remember, I lived in Amsterdam for 4 years, and Vancouver for 10 before that. I know whereof I speak. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 22:53, 19 October 2018 (UTC)

Well, anyway, not really a strong interest of mine. What really interests me is why the Obnoxio the Clown article does not have an image yet. Needs one badly! From the article, "Obnoxio was portrayed as a slovenly, vulgar, cigar-puffing middle-aged man in a torn and dirty clown suit, with a dyspeptic and cynical attitude." The clown's appearance matches the description quite nicely. North America1000 11:17, 21 October 2018 (UTC)

Dexter is still very much with us, my friend. One week ago, he had surgery to remove a Mastocytoma tumor on his right rear haunch. The hours after he got home were rough, and I held him in my lap, with a compress to control his bleeding, and doing my best to calm and comfort him. His recovery since then has been remarkable, and we are considering further treatment options. He is like a puppy right now, and he is a real joy to me. He will be "Frankendoggie" for Halloween, with his dramatic sutures. As for me, I am almost blind in one eye, so the eyepatch comes naturally, and I do not need any makeup to look like an old man. Facts, after all, are facts. Cullen328 Let's discuss it 07:56, 23 October 2018 (UTC)
Hi, Cullen328. You certainly don't look like an old man to me. And I'm sorry about your eye. I almost remember having this conversation before. Sometimes I think I have but one brain cell left. :) I'm pleased Dexter is still on Earth. He is just so nice. I can't stop looking at that photo of him. His face keeps expressing so much. I'm mad about doggies, and he looks like the nicest one ever. Please tell him so for me. Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 09:03, 23 October 2018 (UTC)

WP:PATT

Good day Anna Frodesiak! There is a ‘new kid on the block’ of lion subpages, a new editor who repeatedly copy-pasted content from one to the other page in the past few days. But s/he completely ignores WP:PATT instructions, despite a notice at Talk:East_African_lion#About_"Attacks_on_humans"_section and an earlier one at their talk page. You certainly do like cat's don't you? Are you aware that they often ambush you in your own home? Anna Frodesiak (talk) 22:15, 2 November 2018 (UTC)
Yes, I do like cats, grew up with cats. I once raised orphaned leopard cubs, so have a very personal experience of how intelligent they are, and affectionate. They also ambushed me, but playfully, and liked jumping on my back, quite a heavy load when they were 2.5 years old --
Wow, BhagyaMani. That is quite a privilege. I would love to play with a leopard, provided it promised no ambush. Now I know why you like cats so much. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 05:23, 3 November 2018 (UTC)

Ambush – a short story for you:

As long as the leopard was still a cub, we went walking in the mornings and evenings. Sometimes we passed by livestock grazing in a field. In case the cattle and shoats had not noticed us, the leopard immediately crouched, watched them intently and insisted on moving veeery slowly. But as soon as they turned their heads to look at us, the leopard stopped crouching instantly, raised its tail, turned its head into a different direction – pretending that it was not in the least interested in the livestock. Often it looked at me, as if it wanted to say: what a pity, damn! Once it succeeded to stalk a calf so closely that it jumped on its back and down by the neck. And then it returned to me with a facial expression resembling a . – BhagyaMani (talk) 10:10, 3 November 2018 (UTC)

And cockroaches, well, they are a really good indicator that it's high time to clean the kitchen so they won't have to do that job any longer. I used to not like spiders as a kid; meanwhile I realised that they devour mosquitoes. Hainan turtle farms

Hello,

Ages ago, I was wondering if somebody in Hainan would have a chance to take a chance to take a picture of a turtle farm there. (Something like what CCTV shows in its programs: 黄河鳖养殖技术). Well, next month I may spend a bit of time in Hainan myself - I just need to find a turtle farm! :-) I wonder if during your travel on that island (or in the western part of Guangdong) you ever heard of a turtle farm that is opened to visits by tourists (like some alligator farms in Florida)? Maybe saw a roadside sign for one? Any suggestions?

Kind regards, -- Vmenkov (talk) 05:52, 4 November 2018 (UTC)

So I removed this and explained why. He reverted. Another wiki editor again removed the false statements. He again reverted, and the other wiki editor again removed, every time explaining why. Discussions

Hi, since I feel that you don't want to be mentioned in the talk-page of Lion, I would like you to consider this. For a long time now, there has been discussion regarding what BhagyaMani did to pages like that, and it was repeatedly said in there that Central African lion clade should be an article, and Central African lion redirected to another larger article with WP:reliable sources that cover subjects like that population of lions, and this was agreed, particularly after BhagyaMani got into trouble with another user. Then, after I did the agreed changes, partly to stop any more arguments on that, BhagyaMani once again shows disregard for discussions, by turning Central African lion back into an article, and Central African lion clade back into a stub, accusing me of edit-warring, when in fact I was doing something that was agreed in a discussion, and I see that a suspicion about me being Punetor i Rregullt5 has been raised, I've tackled that already. Leo1pard (talk) 06:29, 6 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi, Leo1pard. Maybe you should all consider an WP:RfC. Please see that link for how. The discussion could take place at an RfC subpage. It could be publicized at Wikiproject Cats. Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 07:02, 6 November 2018 (UTC)
Never mind. I can see it is being sorted out at Lion talk. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 10:40, 6 November 2018 (UTC)

Investigation about me behind my back?

Hi, can I ask how an administrator like Casliber is allowed to make a sockpuppet investigation about me being Punetor i Rregullt5 without telling me about this? Leo1pard (talk) 11:35, 8 November 2018 (UTC)

Casliber is within his rights to do so. Informing you was optional. Leo1pard, I'll be looking into this for evidence too as part of my work here. Nobody is out to get you and you know me to be a fair person. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 11:40, 8 November 2018 (UTC)

I saw that you blocked 146.74.94.78 indefinitely. Was that deliberate? To my knowledge we usually do not indef-block IPs because they might be reassigned (though long blocks, say a year, are sometimes used, depending on the IP's history). Huon (talk) 23:02, 17 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi, Huon. Well, I'll be darned. So I did. No, it was not deliberate. I just checked all my IP blocks since Feb, and that was the only indef. I'm not sure how I did that, but it was surely accidental as I know that we do not indef IPs. Thanks for catching that. Best, Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:13, 17 November 2018 (UTC)

Robert S. Mueller military decorations section

Hello Anna,

I was reading Robert S. Mueller's military career section/page.

I would like to bring to your attention some things you should really consider in adding to his awards & decorations graphics.

1. Marines do attend Army schools frequently (I went to airborne school, jumpmaster school with marines).

a. At the very least he earned a Basic Parachutist Badge (5 jumps), as in this link below.

7 As a marine, he was automatically authorized to wear these wings on his marine uniform.

b. I do NOT KNOW if he made a 6th, or more jump(s) and earned the US Navy/Marine Corps jump wings, as the link below.

8 Somebody else will have to research that to verify.

2. Marines do attend the US Army Ranger school, when (and if) they successfully graduate they do get pinned in the ceremony. HOWEVER, the Ranger tab is not authorized for a marine to wear on his uniform (only Army soldiers can wear it). the link is below. [Ranger_Tab]

We live in a politically turbulent time, I imagine he gets googled frequently and his wiki page is most probably one of the most read. However, he has earned 2 of the most prestigious badges in past and present American military history.

I am advocating for him as a fellow combat wounded and decorated Vietnam Veteran ( I was an Army veteran, with many of his awards and decorations). I feel he is under attack, and this is the best support I can give him at the moment.

You mention these 2 schools in his bio; the Ranger tab and Parachute badge graphics dutifully belong on his page. Please honor his accomplishments and add them. If you want to verify me google "Mark Praught Youtube", I did do a commercial for Sen. Heinrich in support for veterans care & benefits.

Thank You, Mark

Hi. In the past you've offered your opinion in choosing photos for the Infobox. Can you offer your opinion in this discussion on a related topic? It may go toward a precedent regarding captions. Thanks, and Happy Holidays. Nightscream (talk) 19:56, 23 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi Nightscream.
Done, with pleasure.

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Lists of superheroes, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. DYK for Taylor oil spill

On 25 November 2018, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Taylor oil spill, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the 2004 Taylor oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico leaks 300 to 700 barrels of oil per day and could continue for the next 100 years if not contained? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Taylor oil spill. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Taylor oil spill), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Thank you, — Maile ! I had no idea it was DYK. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:22, 25 November 2018 (UTC)

New article

A strapping job!
Nice work in creating the new Russell Crowe's jockstrap article. The one pictured here in your award can be boiled, and can be returned after a two week trial if not satisfied! North America1000 17:37, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
I agree. Also, I think you should take it to WP:DYK quickly before it becomes ineligible because this needs to be on the Main Page! Regards SoWhy 18:21, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
Nominate it now so it's within the seven days, so it can be put on hold per D5. Now; what's the chances of that AfD being speeeeedilly kept as of now...? Sup, SoWhy. ——SerialNumber54129 18:35, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
Actually, I'm out of the DYK business, but I encourage you or anyone to do it. If you do, I will write whatever emails I can about a photo. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 19:22, 25 November 2018 (UTC)

Russian dwarf hamsters

Hi, I note that you were involved with a renaming of Djungarian hamster in 2010. I don't think it is the correct name, Djungarian describes both these hamsters and Campbell's dwarf hamster so it is confusing for users. To illustrate this point there is a ref here [9] showing "campbells" called Djungarian and here [10] "winter whites" called Djungarian. In the UK breeders will call these "Winter white hamsters" to distinguish them from pet shops which call them "Russian dwarf hamsters" because the pet shops sometimes sell cross bred winter whites and campbells, with winter whites always being pure. Anyway I want to move this page to either Russian dwarf hamster or Winter white hamster, either is OK just not Djungarian. Thoughts? And what was the article name before? Regards, Szzuk (talk) 20:25, 25 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi Szzuk. I'm afraid I don't remember a thing about any of this. I am also totally confused about what you are saying and which is which. Please use article talk pages and involve others who will know what to do. I have no idea. All I know is that I have a bunch of them and they really like peanuts and they are really fat and cute. Sorry I can't help. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 20:36, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
I was taking a picture of mine earlier in the hope of getting it to be a featured pic, total waste of time! :) It appears from the talk page you did the move, if you weren't an admin I would have just got on with it, which I will now do, regards. Szzuk (talk) 20:45, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
Hi Szzuk. My being an admin doesn't mean I have a clue about hamster species. :) Oh, and they are really hard to photograph, aren't they. They never stay still and if you put a camera in the tank, they are all over it in two seconds. I love them so much. They are like little Disney characters. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 20:55, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
I have a picture of Champster in the air, on a spoon, eating jam off it. He looks hilarious but it isn't featured pic material! Szzuk (talk) 21:01, 25 November 2018 (UTC)
Hi Szzuk. Champster sounds very dear. You ought to upload the pic. :) Anna Frodesiak (talk) 21:11, 25 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi Durchkitzeln. Done. Anna Frodesiak (talk) 23:09, 26 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. RonBot (talk) 18:04, 27 November 2018 (UTC)

5%? Oh No!!!! RonBot, you need to relax a little! Anna Frodesiak (talk) 00:14, 28 November 2018 (UTC)
