Help

AP - Please could you move User:Raintheone/Marta Del Sol to Marta Del Sol. It will be my last article of 2012 then? :DRain the 1 23:44, 31 December 2012 (UTC)

Done but since it was a red link, you could have done it yourself :-) Happy new year! –anemoneprojectors23:47, 31 December 2012 (UTC)
I did not even notice it was a redlink. I am so used to redirects being in place. Happy New Year! Hope 2013 is great for you.Rain the 1 23:55, 31 December 2012 (UTC)

Happy New Year :D

Happy New Year! :D Ulterior motive, can you move User:M.Mario/sandbox:Missing, to Missing (Body of Proof)? Thank you very much for doing this, have a good 2013! :D — M.Mario (T/C) 21:29, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

Done, and a happy new year to you too! –anemoneprojectors21:33, 1 January 2013 (UTC)
Thank you very much! — M.Mario (T/C) 21:34, 1 January 2013 (UTC)

Emmerdale

Hey, do you think you could use AWB to change all of the List of minor Emmerdale characters to List of Emmerdale characters? I believe there was a consensus to do this somewhere, but it never got done. - JuneGloom Talk 19:33, 4 January 2013 (UTC)

I'll see what I can get AWB to do :-) –anemoneprojectors08:19, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
Well I can definitely do page moves and remove the word "minor" from the pages, but I might have to do it in parts so there might be some red links on pages for a while. I hope to finish it today though. –anemoneprojectors09:05, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for your help so far. :) - JuneGloom Talk 16:40, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
It should be all done now. I haven't changed links in other articles but the redirects should all still work, so it shouldn't have an effect. –anemoneprojectors19:28, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

CBB sidebar

Hi, how do I add the current series celebrities into the sidebar? --MSalmon (talk) 16:04, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Apparently you need to edit Template:Big Brother sidebar/Celebrity UK. –anemoneprojectors16:11, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
Would you mind doing it for me? --MSalmon (talk) 16:18, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
I don't really know what format it's supposed to take, otherwise I would. –anemoneprojectors16:44, 5 January 2013 (UTC)
I guess I was wrong. Sorry. The main sidebar template explains how it all works. –anemoneprojectors22:23, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Sigh

A user, whom we know very well for "correcting" EastEnders articles, has moved onto Body of Proof episodes... yay, here. The user is like a pesky fly! :D Can you put forward any opinion? — M.Mario (T/C) 16:57, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

To be honest I can't remember what he used to do to EE pages... I think I have worse users to deal with at the moment! Not sure what to suggest right now :S –anemoneprojectors17:05, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
Ah sorry, I guess you do with the 1 IP claiming to be loads of different ones. He just deleted a load of EastEnders images, proposed to delete Ashley Cotton, merging images, yeah aha Sorry; if you need any help, you know where I am! — M.Mario (T/C) 17:08, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
Well the IP seems to be getting the message now, but I'm also using page protection! Oh yeah the images, was that on lists? I guess that was right. It could be that he treats the policies very strictly, and perhaps some people don't like that. If you think he's doing anything wrong, I guess you could take it up with him first off, I dunno :S –anemoneprojectors17:15, 6 January 2013 (UTC)
No, no the user is fine ;D ahah; If I keep breathing slowly to control my anger, I will be fine :D — M.Mario (T/C) 17:17, 6 January 2013 (UTC)

Disruptive user

Hello AP. This is about User talk:Wigglewoggle There is a user that I would like you or any other admin looking - to keep an eye on their contribs. For a long time they have been disrupting. I have let it slide a few times now. I have been fair by explaining in edit summaries, warnings and notes. But still wigglewoggle refuses to use sources. I am fed up with them and I think it was time they listened to the rules.Rain the 1 21:35, 8 January 2013 (UTC)

I agree. I'm not sure I'll be around tomorrow as today I had problems getting online all day, so I would suggest going to the appropriate board if you have any more problems, just in case I'm not about. –anemoneprojectors22:17, 8 January 2013 (UTC)
Hello again. Thank you for your response. I will certainly alert at the correct board. I wanted to also draw light on User talk:Eaststreetlover - I feel that since July 2011 this individual has been given more chances than anyone. They are one of the worst editors that contribute without sources I have ever encountered. Despite the mass of warnings, pleas and begs - they just keep on and on. I think there comes a time (after near enough two years) that someone may be juust laughing at the project. This is one of them. I would suggest serious admin intervention is needed. They performed more edits today on Joel Dexter and Bart McQueen. But just looking at their contribs you can see the problem is still as bad as day one.Rain the 1 00:54, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
I decided to issue a final warning, because they've received two only warnings and a final warning before, but have never been blocked. Let me know if they do anything block-worthy! Hopefully I'll be around. I'm certainly around all day today and most of tomorrow. –anemoneprojectors09:11, 10 January 2013 (UTC)
I think after a while I stopped giving warnings because they had zero effect. I am glad an extra pair of eyes have now been cast on both situations. It just gets tiring. But this is a step in the right direction, thanks.Rain the 1 13:16, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
So depsite your last warning, EastStreetlover has now decided that Nana McQueen has left Hollyoaks. Without a shred of evidence either. The character has not been on-screen for a fortnight.. but they have decided that she has left, stated so as "fact" in two edit summaries here and here. I can find sources of her return, Langton's fellow cast members praising her return - but nothing to suggest it was short-term or confirmation of a departure.Rain the 1 18:39, 12 January 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for bringing this to my attention. Unfortunately I've had loads of computer problems so haven't been able to get on for a few days! But I'm going to block the user for a while now. –anemoneprojectors12:22, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
I'm thinking 48 hours might be too short as they might not even log in in that time! We shall see though. –anemoneprojectors12:25, 13 January 2013 (UTC)

Your messages.

I am sorry but what are you talking about?--AngieWattsFan (talk) 01:02, 12 January 2013 (UTC)

You know exactly what I'm talking about - you've been using several IP addresses to pretend you're not the same person, and using it as an excuse to edit war. –anemoneprojectors12:30, 13 January 2013 (UTC)
Rubbish. Just because people disagree with you.--AngieWattsFan (talk) 15:21, 16 January 2013 (UTC)

Stop with your threats and bullying

You are going against Wikipedia guidelines by vandalising Lucy Beale's page. What clear reason do you have to remove Kathy or even to block Pauline from appearing? None. You are conspiring to undermine the integrity of Wikipedia. You are not making Wikipedia a safe place to edit because instead of working together you are obsessed with one upmanship. Just let me tell you something, I used to edit Wikipedia on a regular basis a very long time ago and some of the pages that have been created have been my work. Now instead of just reversing things and using your sockpuppets to start an edit war, work with me, use my expertise on the subject and perhaps we can build on each other's work. I hope we can do that together but you need to start maturing otherwise you will not have seen anything yet - trust me.--AngieWattsFan (talk) 15:21, 16 January 2013 (UTC)

AP, AngieWattsFan has been disruptive and edit warring on another page - University Technical College. You may also want to have a look at this - User talk:82.30.29.154. Bleaney (talk) 15:23, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
I know. AngieWattsFan has now been blocked for 31 hours, since they were on a final warning when they posted a message on another user's talk page about me. I was about to remove the above message as well. I'm not even going to read it, since I'm sure there's nothing of interest there. –anemoneprojectors15:27, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
He accuses you sockpuppeting, do you think he means me? lol. Bleaney (talk) 15:31, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
Yes, you are clearly my sockpuppet. <sigh> –anemoneprojectors15:32, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
I have re-sectionalised this discussion in case you want to delete any abuse. Bleaney (talk) 16:03, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
That's fine, I'll let it stand. If this user has written Wikipedia articles before, they should be logging into that account instead of creating a new one - and quite frankly should know better. Not sure I believe that. –anemoneprojectors16:05, 16 January 2013 (UTC)
Well, I do not care whether you believe it or not but it is true.--AngieWattsFan (talk) 10:41, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

Good morning AnemoneProjectors,
Thank you for throwing some common sense (uninvited?) onto this absurd wrangle.
I have only one point to address to you, and that is, my initial involvement was to revert a *bold*, thus restoring the status quo and this was subsequently endorsed by Simply south here
Sincerely –
 – Gareth Griffith-Jones |The Welsh Buzzard| 11:18, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

That's ok. I'm not sure there was actual edit warring going on but it did look like it, I saw the interchange of England and United Kingdom a few times. I think it's settled now. I really only wanted to reply to the "avoiding redirect" comment that User:Govvy made, because that's one of my pet peeves on Wikipedia. –anemoneprojectors11:21, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for your swift reply. I agree with you re- the above.
Sincerely –
 – Gareth Griffith-Jones |The Welsh Buzzard| 11:27, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

Thank you

Thank you for accepting my apology, however launching another threat and using your power as an administrator in order to try and wield power over me is not the best way to try and achieve consensus in fact I think it goes against Wikipedia guidelines. I do hope that rather than engaging in such aggression we should work as partners and build on each others' work. What do you say?--AngieWattsFan (talk) 19:48, 18 January 2013 (UTC)

I didn't launch a threat but I'm sorry if it came across like that. I just wanted you to know that your behaviour needs to change, because as soon as your block ended, you continued to make the kind of edits that got you blocked in the first place. It would be a shame if you were blocked again. I was basically saying that I don't want that to happen. I don't really like this idea of working as "partners" - we're simply two Wikipedia editors who sometimes can agree and sometimes won't. This is the same as any editors. I work with the other members of the project but not "as partners". Example: Bleaney has been very helpful in updating some of the older articles, putting the storylines into present tense and adding the names of actors. When he does this, I know that I don't need to check that what he has done is helpful, because I know it will be. The same goes for work done by most others. To be honest, the family members in the infobox is one of the least important things you can be doing. Be good to build up that level of trust. We could do with more good editors who want to improve the articles by adding sourced, real-world information, and not just updating storylines (though that needs to be done as well). So let's just see what happens. We'll take it one article at a time. –anemoneprojectors10:17, 19 January 2013 (UTC)

Proposition

Would you be interested in bringing "Stop Crying Your Heart Out" and "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" to GA together, and add Leona's covers to each article? As they both charted and been performed live several times each. AARONTALK 14:03, 20 January 2013 (UTC)

I'd love to see it happen but I don't think I have the time right now to dedicate to the articles, when I have so much other stuff I'm working on already! Sorry. –anemoneprojectors15:04, 20 January 2013 (UTC)
Okay. AARONTALK 15:18, 20 January 2013 (UTC)
Could you possibly find some sources for live performances for "Take a Bow" please, I couldn't really find any.  — AARONTALK 15:23, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
I'll see what I can find. –anemoneprojectors15:42, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
Thanks.  — AARONTALK 15:44, 21 January 2013 (UTC)
Just to clarify, do you want references for the live performances we know about, or to see if she did any other live performances? –anemoneprojectors16:37, 21 January 2013 (UTC)

Important message

Hi, I don't mean to disturb you from your peace but do you by any chance remember me? User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium I use to comment on your talk page about the List of The X Factor finalists (U.S. season 2) btw I think you need to make another look and check up back on it because I figured you have been laying off of it which is okay I just thought we get reacquainted since its been awhile since we've last blogged together. User talk:Welcometothenewmillenium 03:17, 22 January 2013 (UTC)

Well there's no need for that, just contact me when you need something, right? :-) I've re-redirect Fifth Harmony because I still don't think they're notable outside of The X Factor - just because they've been signed doesn't mean much yet. –anemoneprojectors09:00, 22 January 2013 (UTC)
Ditto Emblem3. –anemoneprojectors09:02, 22 January 2013 (UTC)

Good I'm glad then! I just didn't want you to take that the wrong way! I just wanted to inform you on stuff but I'm good now! ;) I also try to keep a good close eye out on it too! Welcometothenewmillenium 20:20, 22 January 2013 (UTC)

Gillian is definately 100% a cockney.

Okay, she was born in Islington. Parts of Islington is very near the East End. The point I was making is that she is 100% Cockney and she grew up eating jellied eels, pie and mash on Sundays which is an East End tradition.--AngieWattsFan (talk) 20:29, 23 January 2013 (UTC)

I understand. She may have been brought up away from Islington, who knows? I checked and her sister Kim was also born in Islington. –anemoneprojectors08:50, 24 January 2013 (UTC)

Flickr

I see you are good at Flickr. Can you please check, if there are free pictures of the directors included in the table and transfer it on Wikipedia? I will be really grateful if you can find a free picture of Anthony Mandler. Thank you :) — Tomíca(T2ME) 20:02, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

Yeah I'll have a look for you today. If there are unfree images, it's always possible to contact the copyright holder to see if they will release a picture freely. In most cases, they don't seem to mind. –anemoneprojectors10:16, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
Oh, great. I never learned how to use Flick tbh lol. Please inform if you find smthg. — Tomíca(T2ME) 10:47, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
Not been able to find anything free to use, for any of them. I looked for other pictures of Anthony Mandler but most of them were of Taylor Lautner for some reason! –anemoneprojectors10:59, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
Oh, alright then. :/ Thanks anyway...:) — Tomíca(T2ME) 17:32, 28 January 2013 (UTC)

Old file version

Can you remember the time old files juust refused to leave - despite new images being uploaded - even with refreshing or test editing the page etc - well that has happened again on the following: File:Ned Parker.JPG, File:Boyd Hoyland.jpg and File:Max Hoyland.jpg. Obviously I am here to see whether or not you have the solution again. =]Rain the 1 17:23, 28 January 2013 (UTC)

Oh no! I'll delete the old revisions to see if that works, but I don't think it always did! I'll try with Ned first –anemoneprojectors17:27, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
Well that didn't work! Hmm, I'll try something else. –anemoneprojectors17:30, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
Only way I can think of is to change image size in the article. Purged all sorts but nothing else worked. –anemoneprojectors17:36, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
Oh dear, I have lead you on a right mission. Thank you for solving it though. It is a funny glitch isn't it? Like it has never happened since the last time - but then all of a sudden all three have the same issue.Rain the 1 18:18, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
We have seen some odd edits over the times. But this type never fails to amaze me... [1] - People without names marrying other people without names who have never been on-screen. It just does not work!Rain the 1 23:34, 28 January 2013 (UTC)
Well, if Victor McQueen is the child of an unknown person, who is the child of Queenie McQueen, then the unknown person needs to be listed, otherwise it looks like Victor is the child of Marlena. Same may apply to Jennifique. But I agree that you don't necessarily have to say Queenie married an unknown person. For example, look at my Moon family draft. Because Eddie is Alfie's second cousin, I've had to list two generations of unknown people. –anemoneprojectors08:38, 29 January 2013 (UTC)
Well maybe it can work. But it just looked odd in the McQueen family article. It does seem more aceptable mentioning that a known character married an unknown - rather than an unknown marrying an unknown. And User talk:Eaststreetlover has made more unsourced changes despite the block. They called a new character "Kevin Walker" when the character is actually called "Kevin Foster" per [2]. They also listed the character as Walker's (another character) son - when there is zero source or evidence to support it [3].Rain the 1 23:42, 30 January 2013 (UTC)
I think you need to include the unknown characters if they fit between two known characters, otherwise it makes people look like they're the child of the wrong person. But you don't have to say they are married unless you know. See also the Brannings - we found out about Jim's grandfather but not his father so added "Unnamed son, married unnamed wife". If Eaststreetlover is causing problems you should speak to them, but I don't think they've contested your corrections so problem solved for now? –anemoneprojectors08:49, 31 January 2013 (UTC)
Well I have tried before but it does not make a difference. But then 10 million warnings did not make a difference either. Like I said before, two years and nothings changed. It is just unfair to those who do follow the rules, but you learn to live with it on here. As for the family generations issue, I am not sure why I am letting it bother me right now. The article is such a mess and I do not have the time to fix it up any time soon. Mays well leave it be. I do not seem to have much optimism tonight. :/Rain the 1 00:15, 1 February 2013 (UTC)
Thing is, unless there's been talk page discussions, there's nothing on the user's talk page since last September to tell the user what they've actually done wrong. For example, they made this edit to a page on my watchlist, which wasn't very helpful or accurate, but also wasn't vandalism or unconstructive, it was just a difference of opinion, or some sort of incorrect assumption, so there's not really anything to warn about there. The Kevin Walker stuff was annoying, and who knows where he came to that conclusion, but unless you talk to him or warn him about adding unreferenced information, there's not much that can be done about it! –anemoneprojectors09:03, 1 February 2013 (UTC)

Sorry to butt in but the image problems are solved...simply a case of moving the images to a new file name :-) GeorgePing! 23:52, 30 January 2013 (UTC)

That probably also works but it's far easier to just change the image size in the article - it's unnecessary work to move the file, especially when the file name is already a good one. –anemoneprojectors08:49, 31 January 2013 (UTC)

Long serving characters

Should Mandy Salter, David and Simon Wicks be included as long serving characters. They have returned recently but their tenures weren't very long (Mandy 2.5 years, David 3 years and Simon 5). Also should Dr Legg be included as a long serving original character- like Ethel, he originally appeared between 1985-97 but has made returns since — Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.66.200.4 (talk)

I'd include anyone who's appeared for more than say, 14 years in total, which is about half the current duration of the show. If we count 5 years as a long serving character, we can add the Masoods and anyone who joined the show before them. So no, I don't think so. –anemoneprojectors08:43, 31 January 2013 (UTC)

Glassheart Tour

I was just wondering if you believe the Scarborough and Kew Gardens dates should be included in the 'Glassheart Tour' dates. Even if they cannot be (at this current time) considered a part of the tour, they should still be included with annotations stating they're a part of a festival etc. Many thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Krusty111 (talkcontribs) 12:55, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

If they're not part of the tour, they shouldn't go with the tour - but they could be included in the album's article anyway under promotion. It's the same as when peopl tried to add some festival to the Labyrinth tour, that wasn't part of it but was just close to it in date. –anemoneprojectors13:29, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for the reply. I belive it should be included just with annotations, and referred to in the "Festivals and other miscellaneous performances" found in these tour articles - Kelly Clarkson's here, Ke$ha's here and Nicki Minaj's here. Especially as Scarborough and Kew are esentially just open air dates, NOT festivals. She will perform her full set list, unlike at festivals where they're limited to say 30 - 60 minutes.
It just doesn't seem right to be as they're not an official part of the tour. The tour doesn't have its own article, so personally I'd prefer these to go under the "Live performances" section of the album. Other people may have other ideas. I've not done much work on the Glassheart article really, or much work on any tour or album articles in the last year or so... –anemoneprojectors15:37, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

Fifth Harmony

I was given permission to create the page and the group is notable outside the competition for "placing on a reality singing show."

- Jjj1238 (talk) 21:32, 3 February 2013 (UTC)

Who gave this "permission"? I suggest you read the AFD Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Fifth Harmony. Nothing has changed since then, so the AFD result still stands now. Therefore you do not have permission to recreate the article. –anemoneprojectors21:34, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
"Has won or placed in a major music competition." which they've done so they do qualify and User:Bensci54 did
- Jjj1238 (talk) 21:36, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
That qualifies them for inclusion in Wikipedia, not necessarily for a stand alone article. They are included in Wikipedia, in the list. The AFD addressed this. I've just left a note with that user as well, just to let them know as they may not have been aware of the AFD. You are now, so please do not recreate the article. They are still not notable outside of The X Factor. –anemoneprojectors21:39, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
Well what would make them qualify for an article
-Jjj1238 (talk) 21:40, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
Having a single or album that charts would be the main thing for a musical group. –anemoneprojectors21:42, 3 February 2013 (UTC)
Ok thank you

"I See You"

Thanks. Others I found also missed it off.  — AARONTALK 17:40, 6 February 2013 (UTC)

I thought it should be easy but the Grammys site doesn't have an archive! So that was the best I could do. –anemoneprojectors17:59, 6 February 2013 (UTC)
It does have an archive but they don't for this category.  — AARONTALK 19:20, 8 February 2013 (UTC)
I could only find a list of past winners, not nominees. Never mind. –anemoneprojectors13:41, 12 February 2013 (UTC)

Favour

Hello, I was wondering if you would be able to comment and/or cast a vote in support or opposition on my FAC Wikipedia:Featured list candidates/List of songs recorded by Cheryl Cole/archive1, as only a couple of reviewers have posted comments and it has stalled in the last couple of weeks. Thank you.  — AARONTALK 19:20, 8 February 2013 (UTC)

Ooh I've never really got involved with FAs or FLs so I wouldn't really know what to say! But I see you've had some more support since you asked me... –anemoneprojectors13:43, 12 February 2013 (UTC)

Scarlet elf cap

I understand the logic of your recent edits but it doesn't solve the problem that Sarcoscypha coccinea is called both Scarlet elf cup and Scarlet elf cap depending on which sources are used - one of the enduring problems of using common names. By constructing a disambig page it enabled readers to see both potential species, both of which might be known by either variant of the name. At present is seems as though S. coccinea is always called Scarlet elf cup which is not the case. Any suggestions ?  Velella  Velella Talk   17:51, 15 February 2013 (UTC)

Ah, I didn't know that was going to be a problem as I just looked and thought "one is cup, one is cap, no problem". I've just had a read of WP:2DABS which says "If neither of the two meanings is primary, then a normal disambiguation page is used at the base name." Therefore, I shall revert myself, or you can if you get there quick enough! I suppose adding the names to the articles would also make sense. I wouldn't have even noticed this but I just happened to have one of the redirects on my watchlist for some reason! –anemoneprojectors17:58, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. I'll be able to fix it later this evening if you don't get there ahead of me ! Regards  Velella  Velella Talk   18:03, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
I've already reverted my edits. –anemoneprojectors18:08, 15 February 2013 (UTC)

Esther Bloom

Please may you help with Esther Bloom. For well over a month there have been large storyline dumps and it is ongoing. Masses of sotrylines going into every little detail - you know the type. Maybe protection for a little while? It is really making the article unstable atm.Rain the 1 15:22, 17 February 2013 (UTC)

Semi-protected for 3 weeks :-) –anemoneprojectors15:44, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
Thank you. No doubt they will find another way, but this helps.Rain the 1 15:51, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
Well, by becoming autoconfirmed, but that's when individuals can be warned and blocked. I suppose it would just count as "unconstructive editing". –anemoneprojectors15:54, 17 February 2013 (UTC)

Hey AP, could you move User:JuneGloom07/Dani Sutherland to Dani Sutherland for me? I think it's safe to say that I've vastly improved the article from this version - [4]. - JuneGloom Talk 19:25, 19 February 2013 (UTC)

Done and just in time! I'm off now –anemoneprojectors19:27, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
I was lucky then, thank you! - JuneGloom Talk 19:29, 19 February 2013 (UTC)
Is there anyway to merge User:JuneGloom07/Heading Out with Heading Out? - JuneGloom Talk 15:58, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
I can merge the histories... do you want to update your draft so the info in the article is all in the merged version? Or just have yours as the article as it is? –anemoneprojectors16:21, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
The latter I think. I've got most of what's there now covered by other sources. I've added the BBC ex link and the cats to my draft. - JuneGloom Talk 16:33, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
Done. The only other thing I noticed was the episode dates but was unsourced anyway. –anemoneprojectors16:42, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
Thank you so much! I hadn't quite finished my draft, so I've still got a bit of work to do. I can always source and add back the episode dates. - JuneGloom Talk 16:46, 25 February 2013 (UTC)
No probs. –anemoneprojectors16:50, 25 February 2013 (UTC)

Recreation Request (Joey Rainbow)

Hi.

Would you be able to move/restore User:Conquistador2k6/Joey to Joey Rainbow for me? Raintheone, JuneGloom and Myself have made significant improvements to the article over the last few months and have secured a massive hunk of development and reception (mainly the former). I've already made notifications in advance to a few wikiprojects and have recieved no objections.

Thanks in advance.

Conquistador2k6 20 February 2013 12:06 (UTC)

Done! Looks like you all did a really good job! –anemoneprojectors12:56, 20 February 2013 (UTC)

Thanks a million, mate. Appreciate it. Conquistador2k6 20 February 2013 13:13 (UTC)

Your talk page

Hey!

Thought you might like to know, someone seemed to copy your talk page?--5 albert square (talk) 19:31, 17 February 2013 (UTC)

I think it was Trueman31 who used to do that. Can tell from the edits it's the same person - the Steve McFadden is Bond stuff. –anemoneprojectors19:37, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
Can you believe he's been doing this since 2007? Hasn't matured at all in 6 years. [5]anemoneprojectors19:42, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
God I forgot about Trueman31, I thought he'd have grown up in 6 years and stopped all that nonsense. He said all that time ago as well that Dot Cotton was leaving, funny how she's still there!! Anyway him and his immaturity now at the mercy of SPI. I'm gonna message Delta Quad Bot's owner as well, see if we can't get him added to Delta Quad's watchlist--5 albert square (talk) 19:59, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
Well he went quiet for a while, so perhaps his circumstances changed. Clearly has too much time on his hands. Why do people behave this way? –anemoneprojectors20:03, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
He seems to go away and come back every few months. I think his editing is changing though but still vandalism and still a sock, this is the first time though he's named himself after the BBC test card! Normally he names himself after Patrick and family. He must just be bored lol!--5 albert square (talk) 20:28, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
If I was bored I wouldn't go around vandalising things! Probably thinks it's safer than criminal damage. Maybe it's some 70 year old guy. –anemoneprojectors21:18, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
It's a bit strange that it's only EastEnders and BBC articles. I think he copied my talk page at one stage haha!--5 albert square (talk) 22:35, 17 February 2013 (UTC)
Yeah I seem to remember that. Mostly EastEnders but has also undone my edits on other articles, and loves to post messages on people's talk pages like "I am Trueman31". –anemoneprojectors08:02, 18 February 2013 (UTC)
made me laugh tonight!--5 albert square (talk) 02:09, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
Copied my pages again though... see most recent section below! –anemoneprojectors09:56, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
Oh he copied again after being blocked - I added some stuff so it doesn't display the page, just a sockpuppet of Trueman31 notice ;-) –anemoneprojectors10:24, 27 February 2013 (UTC)
And I see they're now targeting any EastEnders page because they can't access their usual targets.--5 albert square (talk) 17:48, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
It's kind of why I thought maybe I should leave one or two of the pages unprotected, so that the vandalism is only contained to those pages, instead of lots. He's targeted other pages in this way before. Started off with Patrick, I don't know why he only wants to target Dot, Steve and EastEnders now! –anemoneprojectors18:34, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
It's very weird. With the way Steve McFadden's page is now, anyone can edit it, but unless you're an autoconfirmed user the encyclopedia will automatically hold back the edit from being on public display until someone who is autoconfirmed reviews it. Trueman's edits should never get passed, not only are they vandalism but they also fail WP:BLP as they are unverifiable!--5 albert square (talk) 19:32, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
Yeah. I have a few pages with PC on my watchlist, mostly where unverified information is added. Hopefully the vandalism won't get approved, but we'll still be able to see Trueman31 as he's likely to target that page. –anemoneprojectors20:26, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

BB5 article

Ok, obviously we're having a difference of opinion on the title of the article. I have titled it List of Big Brother 5 (UK) Housemates, to match that of the US pages, which are titled List of Big Brother xx (U.S.) HouseGuests. Normally, Housemates is not a proper noun, however, as exhibited in the US articles, HouseGuests and Housemates should be referred to using capital letters. However, I'm not one of those people who feels that "I'm right and you're wrong," so I'd love to hear your opinion on this, AnemoneProjectors. -- Sethjohnson95 13:36, 22 February, 2013

Sure. The UK articles all have these titles, such as List of Big Brother 7 housemates (UK) or List of Big Brother (UK) housemates. The UK articles should match each other, and if the U.S. does it differently, the UK articles don't necessarily have to follow, since they have different production and different formats. Because page moves will affect many different articles (not just the titles either but the text throughout), I think it's better to discuss it at the Big Brother WikiProject with editors involved in the UK articles. –anemoneprojectors19:06, 22 February 2013 (UTC)
I see your point. I will discuss this in the talk page of the WikiProject, to see how the others feel. :) -- Sethjohnson95 - 14:35, 23 February 2013 (UTC)

User:Peteerh

User:Peteerh has been blocked numerous times for disrupting Dallas articles. He has moved two articles to new titles without explanation or discussion. Plus they have added those bracketed notes to info box fields - which WP:SOAPS decided against. I did not warn because of their history of disruptive editing and notified an admin (you) asap.Rain the 1 23:21, 1 March 2013 (UTC)

Still better to give warnings though, so he knows he's doing something wrong. That way, he might actually participate in discussion because I don't think he wants to be indefinitely blocked. He's made seven edits to three articles since his last block ended, and moved two articles. Yes the moves were wrong, so perhaps you should send him a message about that. If he ignores your message, and keeps moving pages without discussion, then we can start issuing more warnings. I do agree that some of the edits are incorrect - such as adding miscarried children to infoboxes - but other than that and the page moves I can't see what you're talking about in relation to bracketed notes, and I'm not sure what you want me to do. –anemoneprojectors11:21, 2 March 2013 (UTC)
Okay, that sounds like a good way of dealing with it. Thank you for looking into the situation.Rain the 1 22:40, 2 March 2013 (UTC)

Yes I know, that's why I removed the information I added to Gurpreet Singh (actor) and added a line to Gurpreet Singh on 22 January. It was sorted over a month ago, so no need to tell me. Thanks anyway. –anemoneprojectors20:09, 8 March 2013 (UTC)

Article Feedback deployment

Hey AnemoneProjectors; I'm dropping you this note because you've used the article feedback tool in the last month or so. On Thursday and Friday the tool will be down for a major deployment; it should be up by Saturday, failing anything going wrong, and by Monday if something does :). Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 23:17, 13 March 2013 (UTC)

Given that the article has been changed substantially since the previous AfD, I have proposed a new nomination. I obviously don't think it will result in a keep, but it seems like the smoothest path. Feel free to reply here or my talk if you have any thoughts on my nomination. Cheers! --Tgeairn (talk) 00:35, 16 March 2013 (UTC)

That's good because if the result is keep then I'm happy to let it stand, but if it's redirect then we have a more recent discussion to refer to. –anemoneprojectors09:58, 16 March 2013 (UTC)

I also want to put in and add as well. I made it aware to all editors on the List of The X Factor finalists (U.S. season 2) not to post information on it that does not seem valuable or notable. Which is why the page is semi-protected so people cannot just randomly change it whenever they feel like it but it looks like to me we have bigger things on our hands now. I have agreed numerously with you that the girl group is still not notable enough but apparently other users are trying to prove us wrong! I've been able to juggle Wiki and work before, but that's when I was single and had evenings to myself! –anemoneprojectors18:43, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
You will have to dedicate your days off. Having a job means I do not edit as much. But this place has been lucky enough to have the spare time off us all that it has so far.Rain the 1 18:53, 20 March 2013 (UTC)
Would you be able to offer semi-protection to the List of Hollyoaks characters because there are so many cast changes and lack of sources. A lot of IP edits over the last few weeks that have been unsourced. Plus someone on Digital Spy keeps using it a source for departures to start rumour threads on the forum.Rain the 1 21:07, 20 March 2013 (UTC)

Wikipédia beginner asking a question

Hello,

I've seen that you have done some changes on Björk's page, I was going to do others, but I was wondering whether they are correct for a Wikipedia page ? Technical informations, like her main sound engineer, ones of the music producers who worked or still work with her, her current manager...

Sorry for this message, I didn't know to who I could send my question...

Yours faithfully,

Jean-Baptiste — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jean-Baptiste11 (talkcontribs) 16:27, 20 March 2013 (UTC)

Hi, thanks for getting in touch. I don't actually make many edits to Björk but I don't mind you contacting me. My opinion is that that information probably isn't needed on the page, but if you want, you can go to Talk:Björk and post a message there, like the one you posted here. Hope that helps. –anemoneprojectors16:35, 20 March 2013 (UTC)

I reckon the editor is out to cause disruption only. It does suggest to me that they are familiar with your work. Perhaps someone who fancies annoying you or AP. If AP does not feel a block will help with them, it may be worth reporting to an appropriate board because they disable many vandalism/disruption only accounts by the daily. It is all a little odd isn't it though.Rain the 1 02:18, 22 March 2013 (UTC)

Big Brother

Agree with your comments on the AfD. I pointed this out on the BB10 HM List AfD but it was ignored. I did the merge for the BB10 article before the delete took place. This got rid of the 'cruft as well as the deadlinks. It's a 2 hour job per article. These 10 articles will need to be userfied before deletion to retain the useful material and sources. Where else were problems caused by the BB10 merge, I wasn't aware that it had created subsequent issues. Leaky Caldron 14:01, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

If the pages aren't userfied, I can still view the deleted content as an admin and would be willing to provide copies. I found red links (that were blue before) on May 17 (for Sophia Brown), Freddie Fisher, List of Big Brother (UK) housemates and List of Old Salopians (for Freddie Fisher), Brian Belo (for Charlie Drummond), Kingstanding (for Lisa Wallace) and The Real World: Sydney (for Noirin Kelly). I also had to recreate the redirect for Freddie Fisher (Big Brother), because it was deleted as linking to a non-existent page. –anemoneprojectors14:18, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
Oh and Template:Big Brother sidebar/UK of course! That took more work, because every name for series 10 linked to the deleted page. I thought it better to unlink them all, as the redirects all point to the same place now. We could use anchors, but it means doing more work again. –anemoneprojectors14:24, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
Many thanks. Didn't realise you were an Admin., apologies! That would be good. Some of the comments at AfD are really ignorant. Surely the nominator is supposed to check what links? Then the main article pages could be flagged to widen the discussion. I'm not against deletion but the collateral damage to the main articles is too much without a merge, as would have happened with BB10. Leaky Caldron 14:37, 24 March 2013 (UTC)
I agree, and thanks for doing the merge beforehand! –anemoneprojectors14:40, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

Kudos

I just wanted to say thank you for deleting the article Fifth Harmony as I was well in favor of deleting it as well! notability but I'm still questioning how the thing ruled out for it being redirected I don't understand too much confusion going on there because it seemed like to me that it was a split tie but oh well you did what you had to do and job well done I credit you for it. Welcometothenewmillennium 23:25, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

It was redirected. Thanks, but it wasn't really down to me :-) –anemoneprojectors22:35, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

Is it true that he's officially gay because if you look right here List of The X Factor finalists (UK series 9)#Christopher Maloney It indicates that he's gay right here in the article. I just wanted make sure that no one was just posting stuff there! There's no source behind it also. Welcometothenewmillennium 06:37, 25 March 2013 (UTC)

Help

Hey. I'm hoping you can help with my first Neighbours problem of the day. If a man adopts a child and then marries the child's biological mother, do we list him as the child's step father or does he remain listed as the adoptive father in the infobox? - JuneGloom Talk 13:40, 19 March 2013 (UTC)

Lol never come across that one (and lol @ "first"!). Well, being the adoptive father is a more legal connection than being a step father, in my opinion, so I'd probably go with that. Because it's also quite normal for it to happen the other way around - a step father becomes an adoptive father. That's what happened with a cousin of mine, her mother married a man who then adopted her. You could always go with both, I suppose. –anemoneprojectors13:47, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
I think adoptive father is better too, thanks. Neighbours doesn't like to be normal. ;). - JuneGloom Talk 14:45, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
Did you have a second problem, or are you just anticipating more later? –anemoneprojectors14:47, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
Ha, I changed the infobox for the father and son back to adoptive and they got changed to step again. The user who did it never leaves an edit summary, never communicates and I swear sometimes they do things just to wind other editors up. Definitely more problems to come this week. I've got two regular characters dying as part of the wedding explosion storyline that started today. - JuneGloom Talk 15:21, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
Well the page is on my watchlist now and I've warned the user about edit warring! Don't wanna have to block them but if they do it again I will! Only for a little while though :-) –anemoneprojectors15:39, 19 March 2013 (UTC)

If the person adopts their spouse's child, their stepchild, then they are in effect the adoptive parent, ala Joe and Kerry on Neighbours. Conquistador2k6 16:02 19 March 2013 (UTC)

Yeah that's what I thought. It's happened the other way around here - the adoption came first - but the same thing still applies. –anemoneprojectors16:04, 19 March 2013 (UTC)
Channel 5 are promoting the wedding storyline as "Neighbours: The Explosion". Should I use that for the title of the article I'm working on or should I go with "The Explosion"? I'm favouring the latter only so the lead doesn't repeat Neighbours twice in one sentence. - JuneGloom Talk 00:29, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
Umm umm umm I don't think it matters to say Neighbours twice if the storyline name has Neighbours in it and that's the official name... –anemoneprojectors13:25, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
I thought you would say that lol. It's just me, I don't like repetition. ""Neighbours: The Explosion" is a storyline from the Australian television soap opera Neighbours..." - JuneGloom Talk 13:55, 22 March 2013 (UTC)
Well, look at EastEnders Live... –anemoneprojectors17:56, 22 March 2013 (UTC)

EastEnders

Did you see this story today?

We might be in for a bit of vandalism--5 albert square (talk) 23:29, 24 March 2013 (UTC)

I noticed that story was posted in the DS forums. I'll probably be around, if you need any help. - JuneGloom Talk 01:17, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
I've added a bit about it in the BBC article. Personally I don't think it belongs on the EastEnders page as the allegations seem to be directed at the BBC rather than EastEnders. From what I can understand about the article the BBC staff members involved happened to be working on EastEnders at the time and it's alleged that they used their jobs to groom youngsters waiting to get cast autographs, but the source is also saying that it is not alleged that senior production staff or any cast members were involved. It's also saying though that it's "believed" the Elstree set has been partially searched by the Police, and that the BBC have said though that they didn't know of these allegations until contacted by the paper. Quite how the Police would have searched Elstree without making appropriate people at the BBC aware I'm not quite sure, that's the only doubt I have about the story. I really hope that the allegations turn out to be untrue though as this would not be good for the BBC given what's happened with Jimmy Saville recently--5 albert square (talk) 01:58, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
I did see the story but I didn't think how it might affect Wikipedia. I agree it belongs on the BBC page but not the EastEnders one. –anemoneprojectors09:01, 25 March 2013 (UTC)
Well Daily Fail is now saying that the EastEnders allegation is completely untrue. I do wish The Sun would actually research articles before printing them! Didn't they realise what a serious allegation they made? I hope they get in trouble for it. Daily Fail though is now saying that there's been a similar allegation made against staff on Doctor Who though :(--5 albert square (talk) 21:37, 31 March 2013 (UTC)

Ryan Tedder

Hi AnemoneProjectors! I seem to recall you doing a lot of work on OneRepublic-related articles. Would you mind taking a look at this discussion I started on Ryan Tedder's talk page? It doesn't seem like a high-traffic page so I thought I'd ask someone familiar with the subject for input. Thanks! :) Acalamari 15:11, 3 April 2013 (UTC)

Hmm, yes I have done some work in the past, in fact I can be credited with creating the Ryan Tedder page, but I don't know much about him and who his associated acts are. I've taken a look and posted a reply. But I took the page off my watchlist a while ago! –anemoneprojectors15:22, 3 April 2013 (UTC)

Please don't just remove my edits, if your stating that it's not cited then add a CN note. The edit at question was on the page from birth until the 8th of feb when someone vandalized the page, when the vandalism was cleaned up the text was also removed. as for the first paragraph, thats simply your opinion. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.176.249.75 (talk) 22:28, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

Everything should be sourced, so if you want to readd it, add a source with it. Don't add unsourced things just because they were there before with a source. You added the information and I removed it, therefore per WP:BRD you should start a discussion if you do not have a source for it. Was this sourced before? If not, do you know it's true or are you just adding it because it was there before, unchallenged for a long time? –anemoneprojectors23:02, 20 April 2013 (UTC)

Page move volleyball

AN/I

Hi there! You recently commented on my talk page about the edit warring made by AngieWattsFan. I assume you found the discussion via the post I made at AN/I; however, unfortunately there has as of yet been no admin intervention or input at the AN/I discussion. Would you mind seeing what you can do there, please? Thanks! — Richard BB 07:52, 26 April 2013 (UTC)

I've left a comment, but I think I'd rather a different admin to do something, one who hasn't previously been involved, because I think I'd be biased. –anemoneprojectors08:07, 26 April 2013 (UTC)

Appearance question

If a character appears as a vision before their existence (i.e. a child), Should that appearance count as first or their actual physical one (birth)? This relates to Don and Marilyn's son Byron on H&A who appeared in Marilyn's dream in 1998 but was not born until 1999.

Conquistador2k6 28 April 2013 00:09 (UTC)

Hmm, perhaps put two first appearances in, a bit like we did for Lydia Simmonds's two last appearances. If you don't want to put both, I reckon the proper birth is the real first appearance, but then again I don't watch it - was the vision of the actual same child that was born? –anemoneprojectors06:41, 28 April 2013 (UTC)

Pretty much. Marilyn was pregnant at the time, imagined the child as a fair bit older in the dream. Also the doctor gave away the baby's gender to Don and the child's name was listed as Byron in the credits of that particular ep. It's just I have two 90s characters lists in the works and am not sure where to put him; 1998 or 1999. Conquistador2k6 28 April 2013 13:32 (UTC)

I thought you were asking for the infobox but when it comes to what list to put the character in, that's more complicated! I'm starting to think go with the vision as it's clear it's meant to be the same character - the question I suppose is "do visions count?" –anemoneprojectors19:53, 28 April 2013 (UTC)

Fifth Harmony

I saw that you reverted the article on Fifth Harmony. I understand your logic as the article was recently redirected after a discuss at AfD. However, there have been numerous references from WP:RS that have emerged since the AfD and therefore the AfD no longer applies. I have reverted the article and sent to AfD to save you the time of doing so. Thanks. Also, I am not sure if I listed the discussion correctly so any help would be appreciated. Michael COLLINGS

I am restoring the Michael Collings Page you removed, and removing your redirect. Please call the Britain's Got Talent office on 0207 291 9000 if you plan on removing it again. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Waited99 (talkcontribs) 09:34, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

I'm afraid it's nothing to do with the Britain's Got Talent office, sorry. Wikipedia has strict guidelines on notability, which should be adhered to. –anemoneprojectors10:31, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for explaining your point on notability. However Michael Collings has become a YouTube sensation. All the points listed on his own page are related to Michael, not BGT. He didn't win, or get a recording contract but has released his own records 3 singles and an EP, become one of the 10 most viewed YouTube videos of 2011, etc etc. If you are applying this logic to Michael collings page then you need to delete or merge Jai McDowall, Ronan_Parke, Loveable_Rogues, The_Mend, The_Zimmers, Twist_and_Pulse - basically all the people that have not done anything since BGT. If you agree that they should stay, then Michael Collings should certainly stay with his own page, as he's done much much more in his own right. This is michael collings on ITV news 3 weeks ago http://www.itv.com/news/westcountry/update/2013-04-03/michael-collings-life-after-britains-got-talent/ . I look forward to your reply. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Waited99 (talkcontribs) 12:31, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

I don't know if having many people view your videos on YouTube makes someone notable by Wikipedia's standards, but if it does then I apologise. But please read Wikipedia:Other stuff exists. I don't follow the majority of those articles but I do know that McDowell and Parke have had albums in the charts, Loveable Rogues' single has just charted, The Mend and The Zimmers have apparently had singles that charted, and Twist and Pulse have been on many television shows, including this year. So I think they've all achieved more than Collings has. –anemoneprojectors17:49, 2 May 2013 (UTC)
Do you work for Phil McIntyre Entertainments? That's the number you gave me. If so, perhaps you should also read Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. –anemoneprojectors17:53, 2 May 2013 (UTC)

I put an attribution notice on the talk page, cos really we should do that for every character we split off! I just used the diffs relating to the page move, I think that'll be fine. Have to remember to do this for all of them in future! –anemoneprojectors15:14, 30 April 2013 (UTC)

Is there a warning for falsifying sources? I can't seem to find one, so I'm guessing not. - JuneGloom Talk 17:34, 2 May 2013 (UTC)
Probably not a specific one if you can't find it but you could use the {{uw-disruptive1}} series. That's what I used for someone who ignored WP:NOTBROKEN after several requests not to. They ended up blocked several times! –anemoneprojectors17:40, 2 May 2013 (UTC)
Oh and when using that, don't forget to add your own additional text to make clear what they're doing wrong! –anemoneprojectors17:41, 2 May 2013 (UTC)
Hmm, I think I'm just going to go with a (probably long winded) explanation of why they shouldn't fake sources. If they do it again, then I'll use that warning. - JuneGloom Talk 19:42, 2 May 2013 (UTC)
Is it possible for you to merge User:JuneGloom07/Slip with Slip (song)? I would hate for our work to go to waste because someone started the article already. X Factor NZ

Hi there. As good Wikipedian and a person who's knowledgeable about X Factor series pages, could I asked for your opinion and some advice on a situation that's happening with the page for The X Factor (New Zealand series 1)?

In the section for judges' retreats (the NZ version of judges' houses), I had the information about judges, locations, assistants and the eliminated contestants presented in a table, based on the same format as pages for the UK and USA X Factor. I think this is the clearest and most efficient way to present the data. But an unregistered user (someone who makes a lot of changes to X Factor shows around the world) keeps changing it to the format that The X Factor Australia uses - a simple list for the eliminated contestants, with the rest explained in paragraphs.

It's turning into a bit of a ridiculous edit war. I've created an entry in the talk page, but whoever is making the other edits hasn't taken up my invitation to discuss the situation. I'm not sure what to do now, so I'd appreciate your view on the situation, and any advice you might have. Thanks! Robyn2000 (talk) 22:42, 8 May 2013 (UTC)

I shall post a reply on that talk page. Page protection may be the next step, or warning the user against edit warring. I will also add that page to my watchlist. –anemoneprojectors08:08, 9 May 2013 (UTC)

Didn't see that the edit broke the page. Not sure why the general fix doesn't catch them and the TOC didn't work right. Thanks for fixing it. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 13:36, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

No probs. It seems a weird thing for AWB to do. It didn't really break the page, just put the TOC in the archive box! :-) –anemoneprojectors13:38, 12 May 2013 (UTC)

WHat do you make of this being a single cover?  — AARONTALK 19:19, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

Although the site itself checks out here, the page where the single cover is sourced from is here and nowhere there does it point to the single cover. Also its factually inaccurate as it calles "Outta My Head" a single but nowhere does it so when or where this was confirmed nor does it provide a release date. so in short... no. — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 22:09, 15 May 2013 (UTC)

If you have a problem with it, ask Wikipedia:WikiProject Disambiguation or take it up on the talk page of Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Disambiguation pages. The exact wording is "Include exactly one navigable (blue) link to efficiently guide readers to the most relevant article for that use of the ambiguous term. Do not wikilink any other words in the line." I don't appreciate the personal attack. I didn't write the rule. –anemoneprojectors06:20, 20 May 2013 (UTC)

Your much needed opinion on Ava and Sam James?

Where was it said that they were married? I thought if anything that they had Dexter out of wedlock because he has his mother's maiden name which is usually what happens when you have a child out of wedlock. If they are divorced, OK but I never read anything about it. Arjoccolenty (talk) 04:50, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

I'm sure I read it somewhere at the time... anyway, this page says "He quickly made an honest woman out of her", which is a euphemism for marriage. –anemoneprojectors06:18, 21 May 2013 (UTC)

What you did is right. They didn't attempt to move the pages but instead cut and paste the contents from the old title to the new one. Even if the pages did need to be moved, they shouldn't be moved like that. If you think it's necessary, you can issue a warning with {{Uw-c&pmove}}anemoneprojectors16:43, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. I hate cut and paste moves and I just found the warning template. I think Mitchell and Jones are still the character's common names as they only changed them recently. I can always break out the hits box again if necessary though. - JuneGloom Talk 16:48, 30 May 2013 (UTC)
I would probably agree - I tend to think if someone's been in a show for say 4 years and have had a new name for 1 year then it's probably best to stay with the original name. I think when one name overtakes the other in duration then it's time to bring out the hits box and work out what actually is the best known and most used. –anemoneprojectors16:57, 30 May 2013 (UTC)

Revertion of Francine Lewis article

Hello.

I want to discuss you recent revert of article Francine Lewis to an article on Britain's Got Talent. This article has enough detail to exist by itself. Maybe you could help build rather than reverting. The reverted page provides minimal details, the separate page is a lot better; of which there is enough detail to merit a page.

Please do not revert again, if you want to talk to me about it, please fell free. I will be happy to hear your opinion on this page. Bruno Russell (talk) 18:07, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

There's nothing in the article to establish her notability, therefore a redirect to a show that she has appeared in is appropriate until notability can be established. Of the sources in the article, only two are reliable. Two references isn't enough to pass WP:GNG. –anemoneprojectors18:11, 4 June 2013 (UTC)
Also note that User:J Milburn redirected the page first and I was agreeing with them. There should probably be a list article for the finalists, but nobody has created one. –anemoneprojectors18:13, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

Additions are currently being added (in the process). I am sorting out more info for the BGT section - please give time for this to be sorted. Bruno Russell (talk) 18:32, 4 June 2013 (UTC)

Well, you didn't seem to add much that was about Lewis herself, only information about BGT. So J Milburn has correctly redirected it again. –anemoneprojectors08:02, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

More additions have been made, on her notable work outside BGT. Please look and comment further if you feel the need. Please do not re-direct again prior discussion.Bruno Russell (talk) 12:55, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

Thanks, I already made a comment. I disagree that it's all "notable" work, it's just work. VIP is probably notable and BGT is definitely notable, but I'm not sure about the rest. –anemoneprojectors15:01, 5 June 2013 (UTC)

Images

Hey AP! Long time no speak! I hope you are well. Regarding the Peter Beale image, you said I need to be more specific? I capture the images using my Virgin Tivo, I pause the scene and I then screencap it with my capture card...do I need to put all that on there? lol...but seriously, how can I be more specific than I captured it "from the episode broadcast on xxx"? GeorgePing! 23:41, 9 June 2013 (UTC)

Well, maybe it's ok to just say captured from the episode rather than saying how. Sometimes I wonder if we're supposed to say the duration into the episode it was captured, but maybe that's too picky. I dunno. But I do think we should say captured from this episode, and that it's a single frame. :-) –anemoneprojectors08:20, 10 June 2013 (UTC)

Reducing excess amount of non-free images; finding free replacements

I think I should replace a section (first appearance) image of Christian Clarke with a free image of John Partridge. What about David Wicks, or is difference between two are very significant? I put Frasier Crane images into WP:non-free content review and was advised to remove one of two images in order to keep the other. I don't know if I should bring this first to members of EastEnders Wikiproject, but I guess that I should be on the safe side. --George Ho (talk) 02:40, 2 June 2013 (UTC)

Two images doesn't seem that excessive to me, and usually when someone's been in the show for a long time (or there's been a long time between their first and last appearances), we tend to show how they looked at the start as well as the end. –anemoneprojectors12:05, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
To be honest, I can't find a text about the very first appearance in the Christian Clarke article, so how does the presence of that section image help when that appearance is not mentioned? --George Ho (talk) 14:21, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
His first appearance was the dinner at Fargo's Restaurant where "Christian reveals that he was once in love with Jane's first husband David Collins (Dan Milne). Ashley storms out of the restaurant and the couple end their relationship." I think you should ask the image's uploaders. I tend not to get involved with images much. –anemoneprojectors14:32, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
Contacted GSorby and Gungadin a few weeks back; I did not realize that they are inactive as of now, according to contribution logs. So what else do I do besides being bold? --George Ho (talk) 16:52, 10 June 2013 (UTC)
GSorby is active right now but yes Gungadin is inactive. I think the image is probably replaceable though with a free one, especially as some are available. –anemoneprojectors17:02, 10 June 2013 (UTC)

Bob Lister?

Hi there. I dont know the timing, but I think it was the scene where Danny first arrives at the restaurant and Ian calls Mr Lister Bob, then corrects himself and calls him Robert as if to appear 'posh' to Danny. By the way I have no strong feelings on this, if you want to get rid of the Bob label, feel free. Its just that small exchange seemed to me to suggest that Ian knows Mr Lister more as Bob than Robert. But I i'm happy to wait and see if the name is mentioned again. Bleaney (talk) 20:21, 13 June 2013 (UTC)

I'm happy for it to be included, but I just want to hear it for myself. The episode is, thankfully, still on iPlayer so I shall try to find that scene. I only heard "Robert" in the scene where Danny says he's not investing. –anemoneprojectors08:33, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
Thanks, I've found it now! It's not when Danny first arrives, but Danny's next scene, at about 12 minutes. Ian says "And like Bob - Robert - said, there's a champagne dinner for two any time you want." I don't know how I managed to miss it. Councillor Byford from the planning office was also a character that could be included in the 2013 "others" list! –anemoneprojectors08:41, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

List of songs recorded by Rihanna

Good work and rationale for moving back the above. Any chance of doing the same for List of songs written and/or recorded by Nicki Minaj, List of songs written and recorded by Mariah Carey and List of songs written and/or recorded by Katy Perry. Alternatively an RM? Cheers --Richhoncho (talk) 18:17, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

Hi, I've discussed this with the person who moved the pages. I moved Perry and Minaj back too, but they were moved on because some songs were apparently added that were written by those people but not recorded by them. I've move Minaj back again because looking at it, it's only songs she recorded. Katy Perry has, though, written songs that Kelly Clarkson recorded, so renaming that page wouldn't be right unless they are removed. Mariah Carey I hadn't looked at but it's all songs she recorded so I'll move that after I've eaten. –anemoneprojectors18:30, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
I've moved the Carey page. To be honest I think it's probably best to keep them as songs recorded by the artist, not written by them but recorded by others. I also looked at the lists of songs recorded/written by Leona Lewis, Adele and Emeli Sandé. –anemoneprojectors18:36, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Thanks, I've spotted one more for consideration, List of songs written and recorded by Alicia Keys. Quite frankly the moves were contrary to whole discussions about the naming of the contents of Category:Lists of songs by recording artists and at 240+ list articles it's silly to start another stylisation. It also ignores completely several things, 1. Writing and performance (recording) are not the same thing, 2. Most of the artists moved weren't actually the writers, but co-writers. 3. Most of the artists in the category were the writers too. If the editor feels that any of the artists should be credited as writers then there is the established list of Category:Lists of songs by songwriters. --Richhoncho (talk) 18:46, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Yeah I agree with you. I did look at Keys too, but had forgotten. I didn't touch that one because there were songs included that she wrote for others, but as you say, we don't need another stylisation, and for songwriter lists should be kept separately from recording artist lists. –anemoneprojectors18:59, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Mariah's is a work in progress, because as you can imagine, putting in every song from all 13 albums as well as the remaining ones out of the 250 on BMI, takes a long time. But Mariah has written quite a few songs for other artists too. What should be done about Alicia's and Emeli's as they have written songs for other artists too. The thing is with just labelling as 'recorded by' is that all of these list have songs which are listed on BMI and credits them as songwriters, but no one knows if they were ever recorded. I think different stylisations apply to different singers. Alexandra Burke and Cheryl Cole have hardly written any of their own material, so I think that they should be 'recorded', but for others like Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Adele, Alicia Keys, Emeli Sande, Mariah Carey etc they write all their material. So I think written by applies, but so does recorded by. Keys and Carey produce all their material too.  — AARONTALK 19:14, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Awkward that discussion is now taking place across two pages. I do think we should just keep the lists as songs recorded by a recording artist. Songs written by a writer, I think should go on a different list if there's enough. Is it even worth including all the songs that are listed on BMI that have been written but never seen the light of day? They're not notably written by a songwriter, especially if there are over 240 of them! –anemoneprojectors20:01, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
I think if there is going to be a list dedicated to only songs which have been written by X and not recorded then it makes perfect sense to include the BMI entries, as they are songs written by X. That would constitute most of the content.  — AARONTALK 20:10, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
I think for the most part, it should be lists of songs recorded by X, unless, like Emeli Sandé, they write loads of songs for loads of artists and are known as a songwriter. –anemoneprojectors20:20, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
So you think Emeli should have a "List of songs recorded by Emeli Sande" and a "List of songs co-written or written by Emeli Sande" ?  — AARONTALK 20:23, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Just "List of songs written by Emeli Sandé" should be fine, because she's written all her own songs as well as those for many others (and co-writing is still writing, and it's clear from the list which ones she co-wrote). All the songs recorded by her are written by her, so there's no need for a "recorded by" list. –anemoneprojectors20:30, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Okay, do you want to rename the current article back to that then? That's how it was originally.  — AARONTALK 20:32, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, if you're in agreement I guess. Does that just leave Alicia Keys? I'm not sure what to do about her, because she's written songs for herself, written songs for others, and had songs written for her by others. It was previously just "recorded by" and I think you added all the songs she's written. You've worked really hard! –anemoneprojectors20:37, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Yeah, that's how it was originally and what i nominated it for FLC as. I don't know about Alicia Keys either. She hasn't written 100% of her songs, yet she has also written a lot for others. Thanks, her list is the is longest one and most time consuming so far. Maybe Keys should have a "List of songs written by" and a "List of songs recorded by", the former being all songs (BMI included) and the latter meaning only including songs from albums, ?  — AARONTALK 20:41, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Perhaps Alicia Keys is the one to have two lists, yes. I only have the Leona Lewis one on my watchlist, but then I checked your contributions and then I opened this whole can of worms ;-) So if you want to do two lists for Alicia, I'll leave you to it. :-) –anemoneprojectors20:43, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Okay lol. Can you change Emeli's back to "List of songs written by Emeli Sande" then please? I have a feeling if I do it then it will be reverted. BTW, Alicia's list is at FLC at the moment as "written and recorded", what should I do? lol  — AARONTALK 20:45, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

() Done Emeli's move. Not sure about Alicia, maybe just leave it as it is and see what happens at FLC. –anemoneprojectors21:06, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

I'll just leave it  — AARONTALK 21:18, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Cool. While you're here, do you mind if I ask you something? I just wondered where in Hertfordshire you live, cos I've not come across many of my Hertfordshire neighbours on Wikipedia before! Sorry to be off topic and of course you don't have to say! :-) –anemoneprojectors21:22, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Lol, we had this conversation like 2 years ago! I live in Bishop's Stortford  — AARONTALK 21:27, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Lol I honestly don't remember. But yeah, knowing me I probably did ask. Sorry! Probably the first time in two years that I looked at your user page ;-) Well I've still never been there! –anemoneprojectors21:38, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Where do you live then?  — AARONTALK 21:39, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
Currently about 30% Stevenage, 70% Sandridge. Anyway, back to the topic of lists... –anemoneprojectors21:47, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

() Because Aaron put a talkback on my talkpage I have responded on his page. The argument about Alicia not been moved because it is at FLC does not wear - Aaron moved it unilaterally and without consent - nobody else. Furthermore, having reverted most of the moves, there doesn't appear too much of an argument for not reverting the rest of the moves! --Richhoncho (talk) 21:43, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

So what do you think should happen with the Alicia Keys list? –anemoneprojectors21:47, 18 June 2013 (UTC)
No one said that the FLC makes it immune. But because it is at FLC, changing the title will have an impact of which list is nominated. Written by or recorded by. I like the idea of Keys having two separate lists, but I don't want to withdraw the nomination as it has a support.  — AARONTALK 21:51, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

Talkback

I've responded to another editors message about Adele's list at the bottom of my talk. I'd like you opinions on the suggestions I made.  — AARONTALK 19:29, 18 June 2013 (UTC)

Moves

Please can you move User:Raintheone/Annie Campbell to Annie Campbell. Please can you move User:Raintheone/Heath Braxton to Heath Braxton. The last is incomplete - but on this rare occasion it has to go.Rain the 1 11:21, 16 June 2013 (UTC)

Done both. I'll leave you to do any cleaning up. You might want to move the stray references to the talk page for now. –anemoneprojectors11:46, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
TY. It was the only way right now. The character has had so many storylines - I had to give in.Rain the 1 12:04, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
Please may you protect the List of Hollyoaks characters once again. It is the same old story and there are no signs of improvement.Rain the 1 21:34, 20 June 2013 (UTC)
I may. Gimme a minute - I've had a tough day :-) –anemoneprojectors14:22, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
You have clogged up my watch list again. lolRain the 1 21:46, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
Just ignore my edits. It's only removing importance from talk pages in Wikiproject EastEnders. Soon be finished :-) –anemoneprojectors21:47, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
And it serves you right for having so many EE pages on your watchlist ;-) –anemoneprojectors21:53, 29 June 2013 (UTC)
I lied, there's loads more to do, because the only way I can see to empty Category:NA-importance EastEnders articles is to save each page (even if it's not changed, but if it's not it won't come up on your watchlist). –anemoneprojectors09:02, 30 June 2013 (UTC)

Could you please comment at the discussion at Talk:Collide_(Leona_Lewis_and_Avicii_song)#Sampling seen that you have been involved in the article in the past? — Lil_niquℇ 1 [talk] 12:40, 21 June 2013 (UTC)

TemplateData is here

Hey AnemoneProjectors

I'm sending you this because you've made quite a few edits to the template namespace in the past couple of months. If I've got this wrong, or if I haven't but you're not interested in my request, don't worry; this is the only notice I'm sending out on the subject :).

So, as you know (or should know - we sent out a centralnotice and several watchlist notices) we're planning to deploy the VisualEditor on Monday, 1 July, as the default editor. For those of us who prefer markup editing, fear not; we'll still be able to use the markup editor, which isn't going anywhere.

What's important here, though, is that the VisualEditor features an interactive template inspector; you click an icon on a template and it shows you the parameters, the contents of those fields, and human-readable parameter names, along with descriptions of what each parameter does. Personally, I find this pretty awesome, and from Monday it's going to be heavily used, since, as said, the VisualEditor will become the default.

The thing that generates the human-readable names and descriptions is a small JSON data structure, loaded through an extension called TemplateData. I'm reaching out to you in the hopes that you'd be willing and able to put some time into adding TemplateData to high-profile templates. It's pretty easy to understand (heck, if I can write it, anyone can) and you can find a guide here, along with a list of prominent templates, although I suspect we can all hazard a guess as to high-profile templates that would benefit from this. Hopefully you're willing to give it a try; the more TemplateData sections get added, the better the interface can be. If you run into any problems, drop a note on the Feedback page.

Thanks, Okeyes (WMF) (talk) 21:21, 28 June 2013 (UTC)

Help

Hey, could you please remove the protection from Holly Hoyland? I think it's been salted. The character is returning to Neighbours in a few weeks and I need to create a redirect. - JuneGloom Talk 15:09, 23 June 2013 (UTC)

Done! Yes it was salted. –anemoneprojectors15:13, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
Thank you! I probably should have requested it ages ago, but it just wasn't important then. I always thought the powers that be would bring her back eventually though. - JuneGloom Talk 15:56, 23 June 2013 (UTC)
Hi, could you please protect List of Home and Away characters (2010) again? A day after coming off protection and the sock returned to disrupt the article. - JuneGloom Talk 00:17, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
Done :-) –anemoneprojectors07:57, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
Thanks! - JuneGloom Talk 18:45, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
I'm currently working on an article for an episode of Neighbours, but I'm not sure which title I should go with. Should it be "Episode 6646" or "The Eclipse"? The latter is what the episode was called in all the publicity and on the Channel 5 site, but I don't think it was the official name (since the show doesn't use them, just numbers). - JuneGloom Talk 16:58, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
Perhaps go with the one used in publicity, since it's probably the WP:COMMONNAME for it. You might need to clarify somewhere that it's not an official title, but you'd have to find that out... Sometimes I wish the soaps did name their episodes! EastEnders just dates them. –anemoneprojectors17:09, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll go with "The Eclipse" then. It sounds a lot better too. Neighbours did name their episodes from 2004 to mid 2007. I reckon they would have run out of names by now though. - JuneGloom Talk 17:45, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
Doctors seems to name their episodes and they've had 2500+. I don't think soaps can really go for names because each episode is a continuation of the last anyway. Better to name the storylines, I reckon. –anemoneprojectors17:50, 8 July 2013 (UTC)

Could you please move User:JuneGloom07/Sheila to Sheila Canning for me? - JuneGloom Talk 15:17, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

Done. –anemoneprojectors15:20, 14 July 2013 (UTC)
Thank you! - JuneGloom Talk 15:35, 14 July 2013 (UTC)

Why isn't anybody answering me?

I was just wondering, why do you think nobody is answering me on my Duration change! Section on the Peggy Mitchell talk page? Thanks. Tinamckintyre23 (Come and talk!) 17:02, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

I can't speak for anyone else, but I go through my watchlist from oldest to newest and am currently still on yesterday's edits, because I haven't been on Wikipedia today. Maybe also you're too impatient and haven't left enough time, because not everyone edits every day. Also, there aren't as many interested people as there used to be - the EastEnders project regulars are vanishing. I've replied now because you posted here, otherwise I would have replied when I got to it. –anemoneprojectors19:06, 13 July 2013 (UTC)
Tina, I don't edit every day at the minute because I'm very busy at work. When I do log on I check ClueBot is working ok first and I check the bots messages first before I even do any admin work, look at my watchlist, check my own messages etc etc etc. I'm one of the EE project regulars and I only got to your post a few minutes ago but my fellow admin beat me to it :)--5 albert square (talk) 22:11, 13 July 2013 (UTC)

What do you think of this?

Here. Very interesting. I remember reading somewhere else that radio stations had been informed that Leona was releasing another unnamed single from the album too.  — AARONTALK 15:26, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

It's interesting, yes, but we'll have to wait and see. Be nice to have another single, though I wasn't expecting one. –anemoneprojectors15:43, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
I've been hearing for months and months that a third single would be released. She said herself last October that she wants to release an up-tempo song, but said her preference was "Shake You Up". I really wanna set up some sort of petition or something to get "Glassheart" released as a single. It would do so well.  — AARONTALK 15:47, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
I love "Shake You Up" though. –anemoneprojectors15:53, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
I do too, but I think "Glassheart" has more of a dance edge to it. It's unlike anything she has ever done.  — AARONTALK 16:11, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

I take offence by that comment

Excuse me, I want to let you know that I took offence by your comment on my talk page saying: "Sometimes I wonder if you're just here to cause trouble". I am only 9 years old and I will be reporting this comment. Tinamckintyre23 (Come and talk!) 19:31, 15 July 2013 (UTC)

I'm sorry, but I don't think someone your age should be editing Wikipedia. I kind of assumed (from your user name) that you're 23. –anemoneprojectors08:03, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

I'm not nine years old, I'm 28, I was just joking. Tinamckintyre23 (Come and talk!) 14:35, 16 June 2013 (UTC)

Well that's not funny. I do assume good faith but I don't understand how you can think Pauline Fowler is better known to anybody as Pauline Macer, when she never even took the name. Your page move (and changing Abi from Branning to Cross) didn't seem genuine to me. –anemoneprojectors14:38, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

What do you mean "doesn't seem genuine"? Tinamckintyre23 (Come and talk!) 14:42, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Pauline never took the name Macer and Abi has never had the name Cross, so I don't know how you can think they did. –anemoneprojectors14:44, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Well, I've just watched back Pauline's wedding episode on YouTube, and she took the name Macer. She was also credited as it from May 2006 until November 2006. Also, Abi took the name Cross in 2011, according to Sharon Marshall. Tinamckintyre23 (Come and talk!) 16:36, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Pauline specifically stated that she was not going to take the name Macer. I was editing Wikipedia at the time and moved the page accordingly. It was promptly moved back for that reason. I had missed her saying it. Even if you are correct, how does 3 months as Macer trump 21 years as Fowler? According to Sharon Marshall where? –anemoneprojectors16:45, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
Google has 120 results for '"Pauline Macer" EastEnders' and 31,300 for '"Pauline Fowler" EastEnders'. '"Abi Cross" EastEnders' has just 8 results which are largely unrelated. That tells me that Abi never took her mother's maiden name. Why would she? It's false. It never happened. –anemoneprojectors16:55, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Sharon Marshall stated that Abi had changed her name to Cross on an episode of This Morning in June 2011. Plus, I've just looked, and Google has 37, 760 results for "Pauline Macer" EastEnders' and only 26, 456 results for "Pauline Fowler" EastEnders'. Plus "Abi Cross" EastEnders' has 85, 578 results. That means that the articles should be changed to state this, and I will change them now while I get time. Tinamckintyre23 (Come and talk!) 17:57, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

(edit conflict) Well if Abi changed her name then it clearly was never referenced on screen or in credits (therefore didn't happen). I don't know why Sharon Marshall would say that. Nope, still only 120 results for '"Pauline Macer" EastEnders' and 8 for '"Abi Cross" EastEnders' You're wrong. Results will come up for 'Pauline Macer EastEnders' because the pages are mentioning both Pauline Fowler and Joe Macer, so the words "Pauline" and "Macer" are on the pages and will come up. This is not the correct way to check. No, you will not change the articles because it is false information. Pauline didn't take the name Macer and Abi didn't take the name Cross. –anemoneprojectors18:08, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

No, you're wrong. I'm absolutely right. I'll keep changing the articles until you admit you're wrong. Tinamckintyre23 (Come and talk!) 18:30, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

That is not the right attitude to take and not how Wikipedia works. I would suggest taking your views to the talk page, so others can weigh in and form a consensus. I would also suggest you have a read of WP:DE. - JuneGloom Talk 19:37, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

I'm sorry. I realise how serious disruptive editing can be, and I would like to apologise for my comments and making a fool of myself in general. However, I will still be reporting Anemone's comment "Sometimes I wonder if you're just here to cause trouble". Tinamckintyre23 (Come and talk!) 19:45, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

Hello Tinamckintyre23. I could not help but notice your disruptive attitude. AP is clearly correct in what he says. I rarely speak on behalf of the wider WP:SOAPS community.. but I doubt anyone will agree with your proposed article moves. I think AP could be spot on - after all - this is a right disruptive drama developing right here. It really is not necessary or needed.Rain the 1 21:10, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

I know and I understand. I apologise. Tinamckintyre23 (Come and talk!) 21:31, 16 July 2013 (UTC)

I do not understand why you had to revert Eileen Grimshaw's infobox image either. The earlier version was very poor, yet you restored it without any given reason. AP, please can you delete the old versions of File:Eileen Grimshaw CS.jpg as there are too many. Leaving the one I uploaded though - which is I believe is a much better representation of the character.Rain the 1 23:22, 16 July 2013 (UTC)
Yep doing that now. –anemoneprojectors08:03, 17 July 2013 (UTC)

Why do you keep saying nasty stuff to me, like "She has proven to be a menace to Wikipedia" on the Janet Mitchell talk page. I want answers now. Tinamckintyre23 (Come and talk!) 16:49, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

I've already given three examples of your obvious vandalism. You're lucky you haven't been blocked. –anemoneprojectors09:01, 23 July 2013 (UTC)

I know, but I'm not vandalising anymore. I've realised I was wrong and I will make good contributions from now on. Tinamckintyre23 (Come and talk!) 09:33, 23 July 2013 (UTC)

Good then. In that case I take back my menace comment. –anemoneprojectors11:17, 23 July 2013 (UTC)

I noticed...

Hey AP, sorry but I couldn't help but notice this...it's obvious that this user should be punished...getting rather boring now. GeorgePing! 22:49, 23 July 2013 (UTC)

I think the SPI will lead to both users being blocked anyway. –anemoneprojectors06:55, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

Why will I be blocked? I told you I've stopped vandalising! Tinamckintyre23 (talk) 09:08, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

Sockpuppetry. Have a look at the SPI if you haven't already. I'm sure it's been linked on your talk page. –anemoneprojectors09:10, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

But I'm not a sockpuppet, I promise you! Do you believe me? Tinamckintyre23 (talk) 09:12, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

To be honest, no, but if checkuser proves otherwise then I'll owe you an apology. If not, then you'll owe everyone an apology. –anemoneprojectors09:13, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

But when will the check user happen? Tinamckintyre23 (talk) 09:24, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

Whenever someone who can do it decides to do it. –anemoneprojectors09:38, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

And that could be up to how long? Tinamckintyre23 (talk) 10:47, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

I don't know. Keep the page on your watchlist. –anemoneprojectors10:49, 24 July 2013 (UTC)

X Factor edits

Hey!

Thanks for your edits on X Factor (UK series 10). They are really helpful in creating a good article. However, I did revert one - the removing of Simon Cowell's picture. I feel that his role within bootcamp, j/houses and live shows warrant the picture. He will be on the 'panel' during the live shows giving critique, he'll just be doing so via satalitte link. I think the picture should remain, just with the not mentoring tag. Otherwise, we need to change picture heading from 'judges' to 'mentors'. I would ask for you not to change yet, but if you have any issues or would like to make a suggestion please reply.

Thanks, Bruno Russell (talk) 10:55, 27 July 2013 (UTC)

Thanks, I'm still working on cleaning up the page a bit (going through it section by section so I may not have come to the satellite link but yet if there's been new info added in the last week). My main issue is that five images makes the image box really wide (also not sure why Sharon's picture was made smaller). I'd prefer to have the four images, we can change it to "mentors" if we have to but they are called "judges". I was going to move Simon's picture somewhere else but couldn't see a good place. –anemoneprojectors11:01, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
Why not reduce the width of all the pictures slightly? I could do that. I'm not sure why Sharon's is smaller though... I would prefer to keep all five than have to change the heading. I'm also helping to clean up the article as well, and working on finding references for currently un-sourced material, and then removing material that is un-sourced. Bruno Russell (talk) 11:08, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
I personally can cope with five images but not everyone has a screen resolution the same as mine. I guess we're both cleaning up at the same time, which can lead to edit conflicts. I reverted your image size change, but I'll have a play around in a bit to get them looking nice. –anemoneprojectors11:17, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
That will be good. Maybe there is a way to just shrink the width, while keeping them all the same height. Bruno Russell (talk) 11:18, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
I've sorted it, looks quite good now. All I want to do now is sort out the returning auditionees bit and have a look at the controversy, so any other stuff you want to clean up you can do - I'm signing off for a little while now and will do the other bits later. –anemoneprojectors11:20, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
That looks perfect now, thanks! I agree the returning auditioness needs a re-think. The section dosen't flow very well, and I can't find references for 2 of the names included. I'm just correcting some flow issues. As for the controversy bit, it seems fine but I'm wondering if the absence of Leon Jackson should also be included. Bruno Russell (talk) 11:23, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
I think you've just done what I was going to do with the returnees - i.e. move the references to the names instead of all at the end. Good job. Yeah when I read the controversy section before watching the video, I expected to see Leon Jackson! Jackson is mentioned in the reference, so can be added. –anemoneprojectors11:58, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
I cleaned up the trailer part. The stuff about record labels is nonsense because Vickers and Ferguson are/were both signed to Sony subsidiaries, like all the others have been. Not all were signed to Syco, but have all been signed to either Columbia, Epic, RCA, Syco - all parts of Sony. –anemoneprojectors12:14, 27 July 2013 (UTC)
OK, that's perfect. I have renamed 'criticism' with 'controversy', as it has been this in all past 'X Factor' articles. Good team work! Bruno Russell (talk) 16:29, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
The reason I changed that is because it's only about the trailer and it's not really controversial, it's just been criticised. If there's more stuff added it should be renamed "controversy and criticism", which has been used before. The section name doesn't have to be the same every year, it should depend on the content. –anemoneprojectors16:32, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

List of EastEnders episodes

Hi there, I wondering if for the page, User:AnemoneProjectors/List of EastEnders episodes it would be ok if I was to help and add in each episode description when a character has arrived/returned/departed eg on 7 January 2013:

4565[1]
7 January 2013
Tim MercierSally Abbott9.54
Note: Dexter Hartman arrives

I hope this is ok and that you can get back to me soon!

--~~eaststreetlover~~ (talk) 11:17, 28 July 2013 (UTC)

Hi, I wasn't planning on adding short descriptions of episodes, though I did start for 2013 and commented them out in the end because I didn't see much point. I decided to add production notes if any are available, but didn't want to add anything other than that. I started putting them under the short description but I think I need to revert myself to put them under a notes column - I think adding a description row will mean the tables don't sort correctly. You could add them but I'll probably not use them and have them commented out. –anemoneprojectors18:35, 28 July 2013 (UTC)
HI, so to confirm would that be a yes or a no. I could add a notes collum which states if a character has arrived or left or returned? --~~eaststreetlover~~ (talk) 09:50, 29 July 2013 (UTC)
I've thought about it - yes you can do this, put the info in the short summary section rather than a new column. I'm starting to think a bit of episode info might he helpful too. –anemoneprojectors10:03, 29 July 2013 (UTC)

Re Comics\Fictional\Video characters indroduced by year

I had added a navigation box to adjacent years back to 2000 eg see Category:Fictional characters introduced in 2000 etc; this will also make it easier to check for articles in 2013/2014 and copy the category forward when required. Hugo999 (talk) 05:04, 1 August 2013 (UTC)

Good idea. –anemoneprojectors08:08, 1 August 2013 (UTC)

Karissa & Kristina in Celebrity Big Brother 9

Hi, Big Brother did refer to them as K & K in their nominations list, there is a discussion on the talk page. --MSalmon (talk) 12:32, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

An old one! They were never called K & K by name. The on-screen list would have been purely to save space. This is an encyclopaedia so we should use their official housemate name. –anemoneprojectors12:41, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
No but it's a nominations table and that is how they were referred to as during the process. --MSalmon (talk) 12:45, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
I think it's wrong to call them "K & K" in the nominations table. Did anybody nominate "K & K" or did they nominate "Karissa and Kristina"? When they were against the vote, did Big Brother say "K & K" or did they say "Karissa and Kristina"? If on screen is the only place they were called "K & K", which I suspect it was, and that it was purely to save space, then we shouldn't call them them. We should be encyclopaedic about it. If you want to call them "K & K" in the table, you'll have to call them "K & K" everywhere else, which is ridiculous because it's not how they were named in the series. –anemoneprojectors13:03, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
I have used their full names for Against Public Vote and Evicted rows but left as K & K for the nominations --MSalmon (talk) 13:09, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
If you're going to do that, you should probably explain what "K & K" means, since there was no housemate with that name and there's no other reference to "K & K". –anemoneprojectors14:08, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
How about now? --MSalmon (talk) 15:01, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
That works, but I'd personally put "Karissa and Kristina" on top and "(K & K)" underneath. –anemoneprojectors15:06, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
Look, just do it how you want --MSalmon (talk) 15:08, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
That wouldn't be consensus though. You need to be happy as well. –anemoneprojectors15:21, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
You were the one who wanted to change it, not me. I was just trying to make a compromise but you still criticised it. --MSalmon (talk) 15:24, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
I wasn't criticising, I was giving my opinion. –anemoneprojectors15:25, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
I'm not doing your dirty work for you, do it yourself! --MSalmon (talk) 15:26, 4 August 2013 (UTC)
I might do, when I get through my watchlist backlog. –anemoneprojectors15:29, 4 August 2013 (UTC)

Celebrity Big Brother housemate template

You've undid all my good faith templates for Celebrity Big Brother housemates. Nearly all celebrity reality show participants have separate templates for the series they were in. I'm a Celebrity... Strictly Come Dancing, Dancing on Ice etc. so why is Celebrity Big Brother different? It's not like it ran for a few series, there have been eleven so far, with the twelfth just around the corner, meaning Celebrity Big Brother and I'm a Celebrity now have the same amount of series as one another. Plus C5 announced they will be having two series per year, so does it not make sense to have an individual for each series. The template looks a mess with every series lumped into it. For example winners are included on the main Big Brother template, so having the housemate template with all series included, it's like having two lists of winners, which seems unnecessary. That type of template works better for the non-celebrity series, where not as many housemates have articles. Perhaps this can be resolved by a vote to Keep or Delete, rather than just an individual opinion. Livin'InAGhostTown (talk) 20:47, 5 August 2013 (UTC)

I know lots of other programmes have individual templates for each individual series' contestants, and when you did what you did and I did what I did, I was thinking there must be another way, perhaps to just have one template instead of potentially dozens. For example, one template but only that particular series' section appears on those pages within that section, with an option to show/hide the others. Not sure I explained that very well. I think I've seen something like this somewhere else, possibly something Doctor Who-related. But yeah, eventually one template would become too big. –anemoneprojectors08:33, 6 August 2013 (UTC)
If you haven't already done so, feel free to revert my redirects and restore your templates. –anemoneprojectors08:37, 6 August 2013 (UTC)

'Others' in EastEnders in 2007

Hello there! Well i'm almost there... i'm on the final lap of changing the tense & adding actor names to all the EastEnders character lists and articles. I'm now up to 2007 (I think from 2008 things are mostly are ok??), however on the List of EastEnders characters (2007) article quite a few of the 'others' have no entries for their 'Circumstances'. I was just wondering if you had any idea where I might find out what they did? Would DigitalSpy or the BBC themselves have details on the episodes they appeared in? (thankfully the dates of their appearance are listed). In the meantime i'm going to crack on with the main body of the list itself, and the characters that have their own pages from it. Cheers! - Bleaney (talk) 15:58, 13 August 2013 (UTC)

You're doing a great job, I can't really thank you enough. The cleaning up of all the character lists was on my to do list but I've just been too lazy! Yeah you might find some info on Digital Spy or perhaps BBC Programmes, but if they were just minor characters they won't necessarily be mentioned so it might be a case of having to track down the episodes on YouTube and watching them! Then again, one of the other EastEnders wikis might have the information. –anemoneprojectors18:33, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
I'm finished!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well at least ive done the tense and actor names for all the lists and character pages. I couldnt trace those few blank characters by the way. All EE articles should now be in the right tense with linked actor names (though I will check if this is true of some of the family articles). Anyways just to let you know im going to start updating the storylines for the current cast soon. - Bleaney (talk) 14:47, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
Oh good. Storylines need updating for many characters. If they're 2012 or 2013 characters, I would quite like to see episode references added. I have most episode references from the last year pre-filled out plus some episode notes so I know what happened when, so if you don't have episode dates and refs to hand I can always check. Yes I do this all just for the sake of Wikipedia :-) –anemoneprojectors15:07, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
Well i'll add and 'cut down' storylines for current characters. I'm gonna try to be brief so may leave you to reference them with whatever episodes you think are appropriate... Any ways on we go! - Bleaney (talk) 15:33, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
I don't mind doing the referencing, it's really only for 2012 and 2013 characters, especially the lists (starts there, then moves into articles when split off, there aren't many). I'm finally caught up on my Watchlist backlog (have been about 3-4 days behind for the past 2 weeks!) so should be able to spend more time on referencing (especially as I'm trying to remove lots of articles from my watchlist). –anemoneprojectors15:52, 17 August 2013 (UTC)

List of soap opera villains

Hello. Just a quick message to watch List of soap opera villains and an editor named SMacaG. They are deliberately trying to deceive and I suggest that a block is more than apt here. After all they are going out of their way trying to deceive and probably laughing about it. The worst kind of vandal IMO.Rain the 1 23:13, 13 August 2013 (UTC)

People have been trying to do that for a while, adding the EastEnders villains (also Emmerdale) reference name. I'm not sure it's deliberate but you've given a warning so if I see them doing it again I'll continue to give warnings, so hopefully they'll stop before it comes to a block. –anemoneprojectors08:28, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
You sometimes do assume too much good faith. It seems intentional because they add a source - which looks like they would like to sneak information in and fool other editors. Hopefully they do stop as it will be a waste of my own time if they are allowed to run riot without correct supervision.Rain the 1 22:35, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
Just keep sending warnings :-) –anemoneprojectors08:03, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

CBB13 & BB 15 UK

Is it too early to create pages for Big Brother 15 (UK) and Celebrity Big Brother 13?--MSalmon (talk) 17:48, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

Definitely. I have redirected them. –anemoneprojectors08:09, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
Someone thinks that BB15 is not too soon, even though auditions are open and it is a year away--MSalmon (talk) 11:05, 22 August 2013 (UTC)
Just because auditions are open doesn't mean it needs an article right now. I've posted to the talk page. What do you think? Maybe you could post there too. –anemoneprojectors11:15, 22 August 2013 (UTC)

Another move request

I'm so sorry to keep making requests, but could you please move User:Raintheone/Sasha Bezmel to Sasha Bezmel? - JuneGloom Talk 17:51, 7 August 2013 (UTC)

Yeah and don't worry about it, keep asking cos I'm happy to! –anemoneprojectors07:55, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
Thank you. I might have another one soon. Neighbours just announced that they are reintroducing someone from 1986 and I completed work on that cast list not too long ago. - JuneGloom Talk 12:27, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
Ooh –anemoneprojectors12:33, 8 August 2013 (UTC)
Ooh, are you online? Could you just move User:JuneGloom07/Toyah to Toyah Battersby for me? - JuneGloom Talk 22:18, 11 August 2013 (UTC)
Nope, I made one edit after coming in from the pub and then went to bed :-) Doing it now. –anemoneprojectors07:58, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. Clearly I wasn't quite quick enough to catch you. I still have that Neighbours list to move, but I'm kinda reluctant to part from it at the moment. - JuneGloom Talk 12:07, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
I know that feeling! I really should put my AJ Ahmed draft into mainspace but something's holding me back! –anemoneprojectors12:12, 12 August 2013 (UTC)
Hey, non-free images are not really my thing and I was just wondering if you could revert to the first image and delete the others? [19] Rain taught a new user how to upload images and they've gone a little crazy with them, uploading images to lists and updating images that don't need updating. - JuneGloom Talk 13:36, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
Oh god it's doing that thing where it doesn't revert properly. I'll delete the old ones anyway. –anemoneprojectors13:39, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
Thank you, I had no idea when it comes to reverting images. Btw, they've started on the EE articles. - JuneGloom Talk 13:55, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
Oh dear –anemoneprojectors13:58, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
Is the image displayed on Toadfish Rebecchi the one you wanted? –anemoneprojectors14:01, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
Yes, the one with the greenish shirt collar showing. - JuneGloom Talk 14:10, 13 August 2013 (UTC)
Yep that's the one, I don't know why we always get this problem where the image page doesn't show the correct image but the article does. –anemoneprojectors14:12, 13 August 2013 (UTC)

I know how you feel: [20] Same thing happened to me and Rain recently. A new user, who I suspect previously tried to get the article speedy deleted, moved our draft of Sasha Bezmel to AFC. I wasn't sure what to do and had to go to the help desk in the end to sort it out. - JuneGloom Talk 13:45, 14 August 2013 (UTC)

Oh, do you think you could semi-protect List of Coronation Street characters (2013)? Someone keeps removing sourced content and changing Jake Windass to Joe McIntyre. - JuneGloom Talk 13:52, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
When you use the userspace draft template, someone just has to come along, click the link that says you're ready and press save, then a bot moves it to AFC. We don't need that because we can move the pages ourselves (and we especially don't need it when it's not ready - the plot section is far from finished in my draft let alone the rest). Yeah I'll semi-protect that. I've seen the Jake stuff a lot and think it needs it. Internet's really poor at the moment though so I might not be able to do it tonight, but I'll try (I'll probably not even be able to save this!) –anemoneprojectors16:13, 14 August 2013 (UTC)
Thank you for protecting that list. What do you think of List of Coronation Street characters (1975)? I've had a go at expanding it. - JuneGloom Talk 17:22, 16 August 2013 (UTC)
That's much better :-) –anemoneprojectors11:06, 17 August 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. Rain's currently improving the 1976 list and it looks pretty good. I wanted to ask about the ibox used in the Ferreira family article. Can it be used for other soap families? I've been thinking about creating an article for a Neighbours family and that ibox would be great. - JuneGloom Talk 23:10, 18 August 2013 (UTC)
Yes I ought to move it to {{Infobox fictional family}} and make updates. –anemoneprojectors07:07, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
Oh that exists. {{infobox soap opera family}} then! –anemoneprojectors07:55, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
I moved it, turns out it didn't need changes as I had already set it up for use in all series. –anemoneprojectors11:38, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
That's brilliant, thanks! - JuneGloom Talk 12:18, 19 August 2013 (UTC)
Ooh, before I disappear for the evening, could you please move User:JuneGloom07/Doug to Doug Willis for me? - JuneGloom Talk 15:58, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
Done, needs categories. –anemoneprojectors16:02, 21 August 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. Will add them now. - JuneGloom Talk 16:07, 21 August 2013 (UTC)

I've got an article to move, but the punctuation in the title is causing a little headache. Should it be "Who Pushed P.R.?", "Who Pushed P.R?" or "Who Pushed PR?"? - JuneGloom Talk 18:12, 28 August 2013 (UTC)

Depends on what the reliable sources say :-) –anemoneprojectors08:08, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
They're all mixed. Who shot J.R.? uses the full stop before the question mark, so I might go with that. Someone with a better knowledge of these things will probably come along and correct it at some point. :) - JuneGloom Talk 14:21, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
What about official show sources? If still mixed then perhaps it doesn't matter. I'd say copy the J.R. one :-) –anemoneprojectors14:25, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
I don't have many official show sources, but it still seems mixed. I'll go with the J.R. example. Btw, your Who Killed Archie? article was totally invaluable during the creation of the Who Pushed P.R.? article. - JuneGloom Talk 16:10, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
Oh good, glad I could help ;-) –anemoneprojectors16:12, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
Oh, don't forget to create a redirect without the question mark, because when typed directly into the address bar, the question mark won't work :-) –anemoneprojectors16:14, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
Will do! - JuneGloom Talk 16:15, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
While you're here, I have a question! I've been working on User:AnemoneProjectors/List of EastEnders episodes (2013) for ages, and 2012, etc, and was originally working with Frickative, but she doesn't edit anymore so isn't around to ask. I used to use Holy Soap to reference the episode numbers, but just listed it as a general reference at the bottom because it easily confirmed the episode number and date. I've since had to change to Radio Times, but after the episode is broadcast, it doesn't tell you the date, just the number, which is why I've been adding individual references to each episode number along, archived so the episode date is preserved. Do you think I need to do that, or do you think I could get away with just linking this page as a general reference at the bottom? –anemoneprojectors16:19, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
I think you could get away with just linking the RT episode guide as a general reference. I would probably do that if I ever got the desire to create such a list. - JuneGloom Talk 17:22, 29 August 2013 (UTC)
The page would certainly look neater... maybe I'll do that, but comment out the refs and continue to archive them, just in case it ever comes up in future. Yes, I'll do that :-) –anemoneprojectors17:35, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

WYDYTA

I do know the running order - so I've reverted this and added dates. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hannah0904 (talkcontribs) 10:56, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

How can you possibly know? Do you have a reliable source? If you do, I suggest you add it. –anemoneprojectors11:00, 15 August 2013 (UTC)

- I am the reliable source! Oh, never mind. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hannah0904 (talkcontribs) 15:06, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

No you're not. –anemoneprojectors15:12, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

Hi - just picked up your message. That's fine, but just for the record I do know the running order to be accurate. I wouldn't put it on there if I didn't know, and I'd just thought people would like to have the info. But that's fine if you want to wait for online sources. Thanks, Hannah — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hannah0904 (talkcontribs) 15:03, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

That's ok. I don't know how you know, perhaps you work for the production company, but we really can't allow you to publish your personal knowledge unless it can be verified. There's only three episodes left with no date, and it won't be long until Radio Times publishes the dates. –anemoneprojectors15:24, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

Ok that's fine. Thanks — Preceding unsigned comment added by Hannah0904 (talkcontribs) 15:49, 29 August 2013 (UTC)

Stricly 2013

Hi, someone has requested that an article I created for Series 11 be speedily deleted when I have provided sources and which starts next month. --MSalmon (talk) 13:30, 25 August 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion was declined by Dlohcierekim. The criteria under which it was tagged were invalid. They should have gone for prod or AFD, not speedy, if they really wanted it deleted. But probably shouldn't be deleted. I don't watch the show or edit/read the articles about it. –anemoneprojectors14:06, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
It's ok now, but thanks anyway --MSalmon (talk) 17:43, 25 August 2013 (UTC)
You contested the deletion, which was all you could do, and it was rightfully not deleted. –anemoneprojectors18:51, 25 August 2013 (UTC)

EastEnders characters ages and other info not yet listed.

Hi there as I am an avid EastEnders viewer I often keep tabs on the ages and birthdates of characters and even parents names. Some of them are not yet listed on Wikipedia articles but how do I go about sourcing them to verify the info is accurate? Or will an edit summary do and an explanation as to where I heard the info sufficient? I want to add the name of EastEnders Steve Owen's father as I saw him visit his dads grave once and it said "Richard Owen" 1945-(forgot death year). Also I believe Steve may have been born in 1965. An old website in 2000 listed his DOB as 19/03/1965, it may have been the old BBC website for the show. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Benny1982 (talkcontribs) 21:56, 26 August 2013 (UTC)

I think an edit summary of a hidden comment next to the information would be fine, or actually add a reference to the exact episode, explaining in the edit summary where the information came from. –anemoneprojectors08:25, 27 August 2013 (UTC)

Martin Kemp moved back per WP:BRD

My apologies, I just saw your latest comment and have immediately moved back to (entertainer) and closed. I misunderstood your RM template as opening discussion rather than specifically opposing (actor). Observing WP:BRD is more important than the which dab issue. I hope this meets with your approval. Obviously further discussion can continue, but you evidently are a regular contributor to East Enders articles and therefore your opinion carries weight. Cheers. If someone else proposes I'd support, but am quite happy to leave as is. All the best and thanks for your nice attitude. In ictu oculi (talk) 09:54, 3 September 2013 (UTC)

Oh. Now I'm a bit confused :-) But never mind. I didn't even think of BRD at the time, but wanted to get consensus for the dab. I guess essentially you were doing the R part of BRD, even with a 5-year delay! I just felt it was better to discuss it than just moving it again - I prefer to discuss page moves (unless done in bad faith) if I disagree. No problem anyway - you moved the page, you self-reverted, so that ends the discussion! –anemoneprojectors10:10, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
Well.. by way of explanation I felt somewhat uncomfortable arguing the RM from the wrong end, from the point of view of having already moved, something I would normally never do, and my own move back to (actor) couldn't possibly count as WP:BRD since the guideline clearly says "recent" which normally would be 6 months at most. ... as you correctly pointed out. No biggie, I must say (entertainer) for Martin Kemp doesn't fly in the face of sources as much as some of the rapper stubs. All the best, keep up the good work :) In ictu oculi (talk) 10:33, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
Ah. Well, if there was a better way to describe someone who notably acts and plays bass guitar, then I might support that move. Is there actually a guideline about how to disambiguate someone who does two things? I suppose I was comparing him to Madonna (entertainer), whose musical career outweighs her acting career. –anemoneprojectors10:44, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
Then again, perhaps the actor/musician is the primary topic for "Martin Kemp", and his article could replace the disambiguation page, especially as there are only two Martin Kemps. He certainly gets 10 times the views of the art historian. –anemoneprojectors10:46, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
Ha! I've just realised that all edits from before 16 May 2006 made to Martin Kemp need to be merged with Martin Kemp (entertainer). I need to do a history split/merge. Martin Kemp used to be the location for the entertainer, but it was never properly moved, just copied and pasted to a new title. –anemoneprojectors10:51, 3 September 2013 (UTC)
Re (entertainer), Not as far as someone who does two unlinked things in different contexts, no unfortunately not. "the entertainer Fred Bloggs" is typically used in sentence for someone who combines both in one act as vaudeville, wheras "entertainers (pl)" might be a National Insurance category. Wesley Johnson (entertainer) for "2Play (DJ) also known as Wesley Johnson (martial artist)" is a bit of a mess. Also Anglo-saxon culture is generally less tolerant of multi-talents than e.g. Brazil or Korea, even in the case of Madonna.

X Factor USA

was really surprised to hear that cowell had got rid of judges houses and bootcamp. The former especially was what made X Factor different from The Voice and Idol. Maybe recession finally hit FOX and they realised they couldnt afford to be spending that much money chauffeuring around contestants. I wonder what they'll replace it with. Maybe a top-twent round like Idol does? → Lil-℧niquԐ 1 - { Talk } - 17:02, 9 September 2013 (UTC)

Maybe. This is the first I've heard. I don't watch the US one, I just don't have time. That does seem strange and surprising though. –anemoneprojectors17:05, 9 September 2013 (UTC)
Yeah cowell told the press earlier this week. Its an incredibly surprising move. Off camera he said it was a test for the UK version which could see the same change for series 11 should the double auditions decide to be replaced. He said he was confident the show would continue on ITV and was considering a three girl-one guy panel should Louis not return. All very interesting indeed. I agree though don't have much time for the US version, just doesnt have the same charm the UK one did. → Lil-℧niquԐ 1 - { Talk } - 17:10, 9 September 2013 (UTC)
Oh I don't think they should get rid of judges' houses... it brings so many classic moments. But they should scrap the double auditions and just have the audition room, followed by bootcamp with an audience. I don't see the point in double auditions followed by bootcamp. In fact I'm not too keen on any of the reported new formats for this year. –anemoneprojectors17:20, 9 September 2013 (UTC)

X Factor final

Greetings, I understand what you are saying - referencing is very important. However the X Factor final was at Manchester Central in 2012 - it happened. It is not a future event and does not need confirming with a verifiable reference. Your argument about referencing 'things' is bemusing. Why are the Fountain Studios not referenced? Why are the Wembley finals not referenced? Stevo1000 (talk) 23:44, 13 September 2013 (UTC)

Because references get removed when they shouldn't be, and it doesn't always get noticed or reverted. They should all be referenced. Everything needs confirming with a verifiable reference, regardless of whether it happened yesterday or 500 years ago - that's how we verify facts on Wikipedia. –anemoneprojectors08:10, 14 September 2013 (UTC)

Article move

Hello AP - I started a discussion on Talk:Steph Forsythe - but it is more a case of that it should never have been moved back in the first place. After all Emmerdale didn't stop naming her Steph Stokes. Will you move it back to her correct name?Rain the 1 12:13, 15 September 2013 (UTC)

Oh dear, this should have been reverted in 2006 - it was a cut/paste move anyway! I shall move the page and merge the histories to fix this. –anemoneprojectors12:21, 15 September 2013 (UTC)

DOB removed from infobox soap character 2?

I thought it was agreed that ALL information would be retained when the templates were merged? That was the agreement and birth dates and death dates were included in "ALL" information.--Nk3play2 my buzz 18:16, 17 September 2013 (UTC)

EE updates

Hey... just a quick note to say i'm rather behind on EastEnders (I have only just seen Cindy arrive) so I haven't been able to update character storylines... but I will, i'm on a rapid catchup on my Sky +. BTW I know we have our clashes (and this probably wont change!), but I do really appreciate all of your work on the EE articles, so a big thanks! :) So keep going chum, and don't give up on us! - Bleaney (talk) 18:40, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

Oh wow, I had no idea you were so far behind. My edit summary wasn't aimed at you by the way, but we used to have lots of IPs who updated storylines regularly, and it rarely happens now. They added too much info but that was better than none. I wish I had more time/motivation to update them myself, especially as I'm usually no more than a day behind. –anemoneprojectors20:24, 1 October 2013 (UTC)

Mike Reid (entertainer)

Hi - you had originally !voted that this person was the PRIMARYTOPIC for "Mike Reid", then changed your !vote when it was shown that the American football player/singer had more pageviews than thought at first. After your change, however, I posted the following: "Combining the football player/singer and the golfer only adds up to around 7,000 pageviews - well less than the 14,000 gotten by this person. If 2/3rds of our Mike Reid-searching users are looking for this person, that seems like a pretty strong case of WP:PRIMARYTOPIC."

Would that have had any effect on your PRIMARYTOPIC decision? Thanks. Dohn joe (talk) 18:47, 3 October 2013 (UTC)

I'm not sure really that 2/3rds is a big enough majority. The actor is more popular, but is it enough? There's no proper rules (per PRIMARYTOPIC ) so it's hard to say, but I'm inclined to say no at the moment. –anemoneprojectors08:24, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
Okay - 2/3rds seems like a pretty comfortable margin, especially when the guideline just calls for "more likely than all the other topics combined". And 2/3rds likely is an understatement. I checked a random month (March 2013), and the golfer got 462 views, while the football player/singer got 1,863 - a combined 2,325. The erstwhile (entertainer), though, got 6,095. That's actually 73%. Don't you think that qualifies as "more likely than all the other topics combined"? Dohn joe (talk) 16:26, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
Well yes, in that case it would be more likely than all others combined. I hate changing my mind, but I think you've convinced me. I feel like I'm going to be responsible for a page move now! –anemoneprojectors16:32, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
You know, I really appreciate you keeping an open mind and considering what I had to say. These things aren't life and death, of course, but I'm often impressed at how seriously WP editors take their "job" of improving the encyclopedia. With your permission, I'll show this conversation to the closer of the RM. It may not even make any difference, but it's worth the effort. Thanks again. Dohn joe (talk) 17:23, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
You may. Actually, had you asked me during the discussion, I probably would have changed back to my original !vote. –anemoneprojectors17:25, 4 October 2013 (UTC)

Merge

Thought I'd start a new section, since the other one was pretty long. Could you please move/merge User:JuneGloom07/Persuasion with Persuasion (2007 film)? It's not quite done, but myself and User:Ruby2010 have significantly improved upon the original article. - JuneGloom Talk 11:36, 6 September 2013 (UTC)

Actually I'm not sure I should, because of the overlap in edit histories of the current page and your userspace (Wikipedia:How to fix cut-and-paste moves#Parallel versions). Perhaps just cut and paste your copy in, with an edit summary linking User:JuneGloom07/Persuasion and naming the users involved in the edit history, and placing the {{copied}} template on the talk page. Is that ok? –anemoneprojectors12:09, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
Okay. If I have User:JuneGloom07/Persuasion deleted when I'm done, won't the history be gone too? I wish I'd read about the parallel versions thing before asking for this to be merged [21]. I hope it was okay. - JuneGloom Talk 12:32, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
Tbh I only read about it quite recently and I think I've merged pages I probably shouldn't have before. If your userspace page is deleted, the history will still be visible to administrators so I don't think it would be too much of a problem. –anemoneprojectors12:38, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
Okay, I've done that. Could you just check I've filled out the {{copied}} template right? - JuneGloom Talk 22:24, 6 September 2013 (UTC)

I think you have as well. I shall unprotect, and move (you could move it but might look better coming from an admin given the history). –anemoneprojectors16:37, 6 October 2013 (UTC)
That's what I thought too. ;) Thanks. - JuneGloom Talk 17:47, 6 October 2013 (UTC)

DOB Removal from Soap infoboxes?!

Hi AP, I quite like the merge of infoboxes for soap characters - but the removal of DOB/DOD dates I find extremely confusing. I understand there is the occasional problem of characters being SORAS'ed, but in the case of Corrie characters for instance - the official ITV page itself includes dates of birth for many of the characters? I feel like this really has removed some essential information that in the most part is kept consistent throughout the soaps. Is there a debate continuing or has this decision been done and dusted? Seems ridiculous if you ask me. Alex250P (talk) 14:15, 29 September 2013 (UTC)

Perhaps I should have just done the merge without mentioning the birth and death dates and kept them in, but the reason I didn't was because of prior consensus to keep them out of the template, at one of the relevant WikiProjects or something somewhere. I can understand your point - that the dates of birth can actually be verified and reliably sourced, but there are a few problems. These are fictional characters and therefore aren't technically born - especially if they joined the show as an adult. They might have a backstory but it's purely fictional, made up at some point closer to the character's arrival. It's for this reason I also don't like the use of the word "née" in the lead sections. Another reason I personally don't like birth and death dates in articles is that, using EastEnders as an example, episodes are shown in different countries at different times. EastEnders is a few weeks behind in South Africa, for example, so the dates wouldn't make much sense to someone from that country reading Wikipedia. Additionally, the episodes can be viewed on YouTube, for example. And thirdly, the infobox should mostly include real-world information about the character, and dates of birth and death are in-universe information. If a character's date of birth is really that important, it can be mentioned in a development or characterisation section. WP:WAF says "Features often seen in an inappropriate, in-universe perspective include: [...] an article or section about a fictional character written like a biography (placing, for example, undue emphasis on titles or birthdates despite their being unimportant to the plot or interpretation)." So unless a character's birth date is important to the plot, which is rarely is, it shouldn't really be mentioned. Age can be mentioned, as it is in Lola Pearce, which talks about her being a teenager, and having her 16th birthday, but this shouldn't really be used to calculate a date of birth. You could start a discussion but I can't see it ending the way you would like. –anemoneprojectors15:40, 29 September 2013 (UTC)

I understand that it is in-universe information - but why does that make it any less factual? I won't bother attempting a discussion I can see it's a bit of a losing battle. I just feel that these constant changes to the soap pages are removing more and more information. This is meant to be an encyclopedia after all. Alex250P (talk)

It's not less factual, it's just, in the vast majority of cases, not important to the plot. And if you watched an episode today that was 20 years old, the date of birth would be incorrect by 20 years. In fact in that case, it would be less factual! –anemoneprojectors16:19, 29 September 2013 (UTC)

I know you probably don't care about it, but I felt that putting the birth dates and the death dates in the article somewhere in the pages made it easier to keep track of a character's age so one doesn't have to assume their age. Arjoccolenty (talk)

Only if a character's age is important to the plot and can be reliably sourced. Again, see Lola Pearce for an example. There's another article I used as an example once where it says "the character is aged 19 upon her arrival", with a reliable source, but I can't remember which one is was. Michael Moon's age probably isn't important, for example. We know he's an adult, and there's a photo so we can kind of guess how old he is. –anemoneprojectors08:17, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
Also, imagine watching this year's episodes in 10 years' time - say, for example, they are repeated on some channel and you're watching them for the first time, but you don't know how old the epiosdes are. You come to Wikipedia to read about Michael Moon. It says he was born in 1972, so from that you infer that in the episodes you're watching, he's about 51 years old, when in fact he was supposed to be 41. Because fiction can be accessed at any point in time, dates of birth become completely meaningless. –anemoneprojectors09:04, 4 October 2013 (UTC)
Interesting that in both Corrie and EastEnders this week, we've seen Carol, Jay, Eileen and Billie mark their birthdays - on dates that were in keeping with the wiki pages. Any more support for bringing them back that you've heard of? Alex250P (talk)
And also you mentioned how people can "kind of guess" how old a character is... really? This is meant to be a source of information, in and out of universe information. Regardless of the fact they are a fictional character they have a set date of birth within the show and date of death (which can't be SORASed) understandably it does not apply to all fictional characters (e.g The Simpsons but UK soap characters I think it really does. I just feel like information is being removed in an attempt to make the pages appear 'cleaner' and 'tidier' instead of more informative. Alex250P (talk)
You can start a discussion on the infobox talk page to bring it back if you really feel that strongly about it, but when you watch EastEnders or Corrie, is it really relevant to know how old a character is? It's much more important to know what their storylines are. Again, you could watch those characters mark their birthdays at any time because you can watch the episodes at any time. They're available on demand, on YouTube, can be recorded and watched years later, might be repeated on other channels years later, and are delayed by a few weeks in other countries. If it's really really really important to know Carol Jackson's age, it can go in the main text of the article (but a year of birth should never be inferred from a character's age), and the infobox should contain as little "in universe" information as possible, and what it does should be the most relevant, most character-defining attributes. –anemoneprojectors08:04, 10 October 2013 (UTC)
Also, saying that Carol was born in 1962 is incorrect. Carol Jackson was not born. She was created in 1993, and didn't exist before then. –anemoneprojectors08:28, 10 October 2013 (UTC)

The X Factor (U.S. season 3)

Hi, I don't know if you follow the X Factor USA, but do we need to include the table for the Four-chair challenge in Season 3? --MSalmon (talk) 22:20, 6 October 2013 (UTC)

I don't watch it, but from what I understand, it replaces both bootcamp and judges' houses. Is that right? Normally we'd say who was eliminated at judges' houses, but the article has a table similar to the judges' houses one, listing the final 40, so as we don't normally list performances at judges' houses, maybe we shouldn't include this. However, I'd be happy to include judges' houses performances if we knew all the songs that were performed (we know they do two songs but see what the final 12 performed on Xtra Factor). So no major feelings either way really! –anemoneprojectors08:07, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
That is right, there is no bootcamp or judges houses' but I just wanted to see what you though about including it. --MSalmon (talk) 08:47, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
I don't object to it staying, that's for sure. –anemoneprojectors09:14, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
Ok, it's just that there hasn't been a source provided for the songs yet. --MSalmon (talk) 09:22, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
If it's been broadcast and there isn't a reliable news source, {{cite episode}} can be used. –anemoneprojectors09:41, 7 October 2013 (UTC)

You had better change this as well then....

The_X_Factor_(UK_series_10) since Cowell is shown as a judge on the series article for 2013. Leaky Caldron 11:14, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

He's reported to be a guest judge. The revert I made to the infobox at The X Factor (UK TV series) is because we don't list guest judges there, but we do list them in individual series. –anemoneprojectors11:18, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
It matter's not one iota that he is a guest on a video link. If he turns out to be a voting judge then he needs to be added and will be if that turns out, in fact, to be the case. Leaky Caldron 11:24, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
We don't know what he's going to do, if anything at all. He hasn't been mentioned in recent news. But we should wait and see before putting him as a judge in the infobox. –anemoneprojectors11:32, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
Indeed. So he should be removed from the Series 10 article until it is known. Leaky Caldron 11:37, 9 October 2013 (UTC)
Well, sources say he will appear as a guest judge. They'll probably announce it on the night. But as nothing is currently known for sure, maybe we should. I'd suggest a discussion on the article's talk page about it. –anemoneprojectors11:39, 9 October 2013 (UTC)

Hello there. Two lists that need protection - the one that has been protected many times but just keep getting targeted. One Direction grammar

Hi, I'm not a fan but am required to frequent the One Direction page because of work. I'm curious if British English uses different grammar with regard to singular vs plural subjects. In the US, One Direction is considered a single band, thus the need to use "is." Are there different rules for such uses in British English? Just curious. Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by PennyLane415 (talkcontribs)

Indeed. In US English, "One Direction is a band" but in UK English, "One Direction are a band". As they are (not "it is") British, the article should be written in British English. I can't find the exact Wikipedia guideline about the difference but WP:ENGVAR might help. –anemoneprojectors19:27, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
Comparison of American and British English#Formal and notional agreement explains it. Also you might want to read WP:BRD because you re-inserted your edit once I reverted it. –anemoneprojectors19:30, 15 October 2013 (UTC)

Is this an obsolete dupe of File:Mitchell family tree.png? If so, are both needed? I was thinking of nominating the unused one for deletion. --Stefan2 (talk) 22:23, 18 October 2013 (UTC)

Yes it is indeed. Also, File:Moon ft.JPG and File:Moonfamilytree.png are obsolete dupes of File:Moon family EastEnders.png. –anemoneprojectors22:29, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
@Stefan2: Thanks for nominating them for deletion. There are also two trees for the Watts family: File:Watts family tree (Eastenders).png and File:Watts Family tree.png, but neither of them use the same format as the others. I could create one and upload it over one of them. What do you think? –anemoneprojectors14:47, 19 October 2013 (UTC)
It seems that the Watts ones are unused. Does this mean that the Watts ones aren't needed at all? --Stefan2 (talk) 14:50, 19 October 2013 (UTC)
Well, Watts family does use a family tree, but it's using the family tree templates rather than one of the images. Some of the other trees are unused but there's no article about those families, and they exist so that people can see the trees if they want to know it (which is kind if why I didn't want them transferred to Commons and left in the enwiki category, though it's not really a problem as there's a link to commons), rather than to put in articles. So the Watts ones could be deleted for that reason. But the larger trees that are used in articles aren't really replaceable by {{chart}} because they're just too large and complicated for that - a picture is much simpler. –anemoneprojectors14:58, 19 October 2013 (UTC)

Favour

Hey, when you get time any chance you could move User:D4nnyw14/Hollyoaks Later (series 6) into the main space over the current Hollyoaks Later (series 6) page? My version still isn't 100% finished, but the other article looks bare. Thanks! D4nnyw14 (talk) 23:56, 18 October 2013 (UTC)

When you get the time

Apparently, Ricky and Bianca are now divorced (either in 2012 or 13.) and so are Roxy and Sean, so when you get the chance, you should change the family tree to reflect said changes. Arjoccolenty (talk) 19:14, 18 October 2013 (UTC)

Oh yeah, I'll try to remember :-) –anemoneprojectors19:21, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
Sonia and Martin - apparently they're not divorced, but we'll probably discover that they are soon. Anyway I'll do the others. Affects 3 images I think? –anemoneprojectors19:29, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
Done! That was quick. –anemoneprojectors19:35, 18 October 2013 (UTC)
On the Branning family tree, it still says that Bianca and Ricky are married. But if you click on the image and go under the "current" file, it says that the one that says Ricky and Bianca are divorced is the current fileArjoccolenty (talk) 03:06, 21 October 2013 (UTC)
That's a Wikipedia problem, not an image one. Have a look at Branning family now, it should be correct (changing the image size tends to fix this problem, we have it all the time with character images). –anemoneprojectors08:41, 21 October 2013 (UTC)

There's not really enough info though. A Mary Christmas and especially Wrapped in Red (assuming that's the two albums you mean) have lots more information. But in fact there's stuff that can be added, like the early reports that it's Motown influenced. –anemoneprojectors08:22, 27 October 2013 (UTC)

Are you accusing me? If so you are in violation of Wikipedia:Conspiracy theory accusations

Wammy3 (talk) 17:10, 28 October 2013 (UTC)

No. I'm saying what I see. You told me not to refer to rules on "your" pages and on another page you asked people to personally show you sources before making changes. To me, that looks like you're trying to claim ownership of articles. –anemoneprojectors17:13, 28 October 2013 (UTC)

X Factor (U.S.) year/dash

"are they not the present judges?"

2013 is present. That's the "present" part. Adding a dash would indicate that the person is continuing on past 2013. And since it's too early to know if they are, then that's a WP:CRYSTAL violation. Unless you can give an MOS that says otherwise... --Musdan77 (talk) 18:18, 28 October 2013 (UTC)

To me the dash implies the person is currently in the programme and no dash implies they already left. But fair enough. People will interpret it in different ways. It's probably not in the MOS. –anemoneprojectors18:20, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
I don't watch or follow the American version of The X Factor... have those two judges said they're going to leave, or not? The reason I ask is there was a dash for Demi Lovato (and no end date for Simon Cowell), so are those two judges confirmed to be coming back for series 4 and the other two not yet confirmed? Surely it's a CRYSTAL violation to assume they won't come back as well? I've edited the UK X Factor articles for many years and generally it's safe to assume the judges will return until we hear otherwise. –anemoneprojectors18:27, 28 October 2013 (UTC)
There have been no announcements (as far as I know). I know it's a tricky thing. I knew that it's not in an MOS because a while ago I started a thread on an MOS talk page (but I can't find where it is) about the subject and there were differing views and no definitive answer. I guess it depends on the particular article, but that can be confusing and contentious when there's no general WP guideline. Some would say that there should be no parenthetical years in infoboxes at all. --Musdan77 (talk) 19:57, 28 October 2013 (UTC)

You may be interested in the following, seeing as you made this edit to Template:James Arthur: I am currently working a userspace draft for Alonzo Holt at User:Launchballer/Alonzo Holt (which Jimfbleak was kind enough to restore for me), hence why I've temporarily isolated it with a redirect. An article is on its way. While I'm here, what do you think of Template:YMBI?--Launchballer 12:00, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. You should create the article first, before adding it to navigation templates. The template's ok, I guess, though it's probably just as easy to write "You may be interested..." –anemoneprojectors12:07, 8 November 2013 (UTC)

Viv Slater Move advice

I've been contemplating whether to move her from The list of Spinoff characters to the 2001 list. I figured, she appeared in 2001 in flashback form before appearing in the spinoff Pat and Mo which showed her as a child. Since you're pretty much Mr. EastEnders here, I thought I'd seek your opinion on it. Conquistador2k6 8 November 2013 19:00 (UTC)

Oh I didn't realise she appeared in a flashback. And I never saw Pat and Mo... I would say move her, yes. But perhaps some trace of her should be left at List of EastEnders spin-off characters in case people wonder where she's gone. –anemoneprojectors19:08, 8 November 2013 (UTC)

Fine I'll leave a little redir. Conquistador2k6 8 November 2013 19:13 (UTC)

Wood Street Counter article

Dear Anemone,

This is the first of two requests and I will handle them in separate messages. Please could you move Wood Street Counter to the existing Redirect page Wood Street Compter

REASON: The place is universally known as Wood Street Compter. Even the article Wood Street Counter refers to it exclusively as "Wood Street Compter." so article and redirect need to be swapped.

My botched attempt summary:

  • Wood Street Compter is an existing REDIRECT page
  • I edited it, removing the order to redirect.
  • However, Wikipedia wouldn't then let me move the article.
  • There are now three edits on that REDIRECT page.
  • Please could you perform the move - swapping the article and the redirect.

As in the past, thanks for your kindness. All the best, FClef (talk) 17:58, 10 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi, I have moved the page now (have been out for the last 9 hours). The usual way to request a page move is through Wikipedia:Requested moves. –anemoneprojectors00:04, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
Thanks! I will go to Requested moves in future if I can work out how to contact them. hope you had fun. FClef (talk) 00:15, 11 November 2013 (UTC)
Actually, you could just tag the redirect with {{db-move}}, and an admin should come along and delete it, so the other page can be moved. That should be a quicker process. –anemoneprojectors08:14, 11 November 2013 (UTC)

Assistance

Hi there, I am aware that you make loads of sandboxes that you don't have time to complete them because you are busy editing a lot so I was wondering if I could be of any assistance and help you complete them?

Thanks, --#Soaper1234 (talk) 12:18, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

No, it's fine. I'm working through them. (Also, to be honest, you remind me a lot of User:Tinamckintyre23 so I definitely don't want sockpuppets editing my drafts). –anemoneprojectors12:26, 13 November 2013 (UTC)
Ok then - I was just wondering and I do hope I don't remind you of her as I have just had a look at her talk page and I don't want to turn out like that. I am sorry, --#Soaper1234 (talk) 20:16, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

Mitchell Family Tree: Joey Reynolds

Just a mistake that I saw on the tree. I don't know WHY it took me so long to see the mistake. I blame college. And car payments. Anyway, obviously it should be Joel. Arjoccolenty (talk) 03:52, 15 November 2013 (UTC)

Done well spotted! –anemoneprojectors10:13, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
Glenda's gone wonky since I removed Danny from the tree. I'll fix that next time! –anemoneprojectors10:14, 15 November 2013 (UTC)

A question about Natasha and Vivienne Hobbs

Natasha Butcher was aborted and Vivienne Hobbs died before being officially named, but their names were used in the character profiles of their relatives (Ricky, Bianca, Liam, Tiff, Morgan / Garry, Lynne, Kat, Charlie, Zoe). But a year ago, Tracy Barlow on CS had a miscarriage but officially named her babies (Lucas and Raymond I think) and their names weren't included in her profile. How come Natasha and Vivienne Hobbs were different? I'm trying to get my head around it. And I know you probably don't watch CS, but it was the best example I had. Arjoccolenty (talk) 19:18, 16 November 2013 (UTC)

I do watch Corrie but not as closely as EastEnders, but I don't edit the articles. I know that Bianca had to give birth to Natasha, which is why she's included. According to Lynne's article, Vivienne was stillborn, rather than miscarried. Tracy miscarried. So it depends how far along the pregnancy was (the difference between stillbirth and miscarriage). –anemoneprojectors19:26, 16 November 2013 (UTC)

Whoops

Sorry about this; rest assured it was an accident. Theopolisme (talk) 22:22, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

I hadn't noticed yet :-) I've rolled back by accident before when I've mis-clicked via my watchlist - I guess something similar happened with you. So no worries. –anemoneprojectors22:55, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

It seeems this is the only one of your updates here I'm not able to fix, so, would you please replace the content of the redirect as follows (formatting is per WP:RE/SG):

#REDIRECT [[List of EastEnders characters (2009)#Theo Kelly]]
{{CharR to list entry|EastEnders}}
[[Category:EastEnders characters|Kelly, Theo]]

Also, should you ever decide to make similar RCat changes to other groups of redirects, it'd be nice if you'd put them in their own Category (as I've now done for EastEnders).

And nice Page notice pics...

Thanks,

Cbbkr (talk) 23:48, 20 November 2013 (UTC)

I didn't think it mattered that the redirect template was on the same line or not. I've always put the redirect template on the same line. All I did was use AWB's find and replace to change {{R to list entry}} to {{CharR to list entry}}. To put the template on a new line I'd have to figure out complicated Regex or edit the pages manually, which I didn't want to do. I have many more redirects to edit. I only discovered {{CharR to list entry}} yesterday, and always used {{R to list entry}}. After a while, I noticed that it was possible to put them all in their own category, but I didn't see the point of that, so I didn't bother. –anemoneprojectors09:37, 21 November 2013 (UTC)
I've edited that one for you. Not sure why it's full protected. I can also put the template on a new line with a regular expression, it's quite simple really. So I'll carry on with the rest. I was going to check other soaps as well. Emmerdale also has a category for its redirects (but only one redirect is in it), but I shall create them for the others. –anemoneprojectors09:47, 21 November 2013 (UTC)

Hey

While looking at my userspace drafts, I just noticed this User:JuneGloom07/Georgia. Can you delete it, please? The user who created it has copied your talk page too, so I think they're a sock of Truman. - JuneGloom Talk 18:55, 15 November 2013 (UTC)

Done. So he's back again. I expect there will be more. You'd think he'd have matured a bit after 6 years. –anemoneprojectors18:59, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
Thanks, I'll have to keep an eye on my userspace. Not that I would, but if I did sock, I'd probably give up after a couple of days. - JuneGloom Talk 19:09, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
Are all your deleted pages on your watchlist? I know that the last time Trueman was active, he was re-creating someone else's drafts that were red linked on this page. –anemoneprojectors19:39, 15 November 2013 (UTC)
They aren't. I stop watching them when the draft is moved to the mainspace. - JuneGloom Talk 20:30, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
Same. I don't know how to catch it. –anemoneprojectors20:42, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
If he recreates something with my username in the title, then I'll see it. I'll tell Rain to keep an eye on his drafts too. - JuneGloom Talk 21:12, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
Does it come up as a notification? It also happened to Conquistador2k6 who had asked me to move drafts to mainspace. –anemoneprojectors22:09, 16 November 2013 (UTC)
No, I can see here: [23]. - JuneGloom Talk 16:25, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
I have so many I wouldn't even know if one wasn't meant to be there! I just deleted one of mine that I didn't even remember existed and is redundant now. –anemoneprojectors16:40, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

I've just blocked two socks - one who said a bunch of EE characters were leaving and one who added a retired template to my page. So I guess there are at least 10 other sleeper accounts in waiting. –anemoneprojectors22:58, 16 November 2013 (UTC)

Oh dear, guess he really is back for the time being. - JuneGloom Talk 16:25, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
Yep, loads more popped up! I've requested checkuser. –anemoneprojectors16:40, 17 November 2013 (UTC)
Please may you delete this sandbox as I moved it myself. But if you know which template I need to add to sandboxes in future please do say. JG often tells me but I always forget. I do not think an edit summary of capital letters and blanking the page worked for me.Rain the 1 23:55, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

For the background ...

Good evening AnenomeProjectors,
In respect of this editing, I have copy 'n' pasted from my Talk page:

Peter Capaldi
What's the thinking behind the "DO NOT REVEAL THIS UNTIL IT HAPPENS" note - WP:SPOILER, or that we shouldn't report him being in a thing until that thing has aired? (In which case, why are we listing The Musketeers and Maleficent?) --McGeddon (talk) 10:47, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
Good morning McGeddon, Not a WP:SPOILER
It is just absurd to show 2013 – present, when it has not happened
Cheers! — | Gareth Griffith-Jones |The WelshBuzzard| — 10:59, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
So in which case, why are we listing the 2014 productions of The Musketeers and Maleficent? WP:FILMOGRAPHY does seem silent on the issue of whether confirmed future roles should be listed. --McGeddon (talk) 11:41, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
The information is hardly hidden. It is at the end of the first paragraph of the Lead. — | Gareth Griffith-Jones |The WelshBuzzard| — 12:01, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

I hope this explains my motive.
With best wishes, — | Gareth Griffith-Jones |The WelshBuzzard| — 17:39, 22 November 2013 (UTC)

Thanks, it does. It does seem odd to say "to present" when it hasn't started yet, but I don't see that as a reason to remove it totally. Maybe remove "present" until it's started and just leave it open ended? –anemoneprojectors17:44, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
I am glad that you see my point, and of course I did not actually remove the copy. I think I shall leave it be. After all, we only have to wait four and a half weeks. Cheers! — | Gareth Griffith-Jones |The WelshBuzzard| — 17:56, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
Ha! I see you have done it. Thanks! (again) — | Gareth Griffith-Jones |The WelshBuzzard| — 18:00, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
Turns out it wasn't even that long. –anemoneprojectors23:14, 23 November 2013 (UTC)
Indeed!
This might amuse you: (Participants: Adding name to project ... had not realised it existed before reading AnemoneProjectors' User page today.) Cheers! — | Gareth Griffith-Jones |The WelshBuzzard| — 17:11, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
Oh nice. Do you know much about Hertfordshire? I'm currently working on a couple of local articles. –anemoneprojectors17:17, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

Updates

I've updated Betty Spragg, Yasmin Masood, Tanya Branning and Tyler Moon. I dont think Zainab Masood, Ray Dixon or Jean Slater need updating, though maybe a general review and 'cu' of their storylines could be useful. With Ayesha Rana I think it generall is updated but the way its written is odd with Tamwar realising shes back after she left??? Any way if you find any more give me a shout. - Bleaney (talk) 18:32, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

Thanks. Those are the only departed characters I had on my list that were potentially out of date. Good to see not all of them were. –anemoneprojectors18:38, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
Hello. Would either of you object to me cutting down two lengthy quotes placed in Carol Jackson's article? There is one in the characterisation and reception sections. I would like to do some more on that article.Rain the 1 18:50, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
Please do. I think lengthy quotes should always be cut down or paraphrased. Carol's a good article to target for cleanup at the moment because of her big upcoming storyline. –anemoneprojectors18:54, 24 November 2013 (UTC)
I agree Rain, go for it! - Bleaney (talk) 20:56, 24 November 2013 (UTC)

"Ralfie"

Did Alfie and Roxy marry as of 11/26? I didn't get a chance to watch the episode (because nobody uploaded it to YT yet…) so I don't know. Did they get married or did he leave before they could? Also, it says that Roxy and Sean's marriage ended in 2011. When was this decided? I tend to just go with more dominate personalities but I am curious Arjoccolenty (talk) 00:59, 27 November 2013 (UTC)

They were unmarried at the end of the 25/11 episode. The 26/11 episode hadn't aired when it was added to Wikipedia that they were married. They married in that episode. Roxy and Sean's marriage should not say it ended in 2011. I've always reverted edits to this. We don't know when it ended. That must have been a recent edit because I only reverted it recently. –anemoneprojectors09:43, 27 November 2013 (UTC)

Leona's Art on Ice Tour

Do you think an article should be made? It had twelve dates and went to Switzerland, Finland and Stockholm. The set list was similar to the Glassheart Tour.  — ₳aron 16:56, 30 November 2013 (UTC)

No idea. Is it notable? Too many tours get articles that are just a list of dates and songs performed. –anemoneprojectors16:59, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
Or if it could be weaved into Glassheart Tour somehow? It's near enough the same set list, but a bit shorter. The set list is Bleeding Love, Fireflies, Better in Time, Happy, A Moment Like This, Run and Glassheart.  — ₳aron 17:01, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
If it's not part of the Glassheart Tour, then I wouldn't put it in there. Maybe we could create List of Leona Lewis concert tours, like some of the ones found in Category:Lists of concert tours. –anemoneprojectors17:06, 30 November 2013 (UTC)
Yeah could do. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Calvin999 (talkcontribs) 17:07, 30 November 2013 (UTC)

The three hander with Janine, Michael and Alice

Hello. I keep updating the page as I do believe it was intended as a three hander.

Scenes featuring other characters other than the three listed were 50 seconds for Kat, 40 seconds for Alfie, 3 seconds for Carol, Tiffany and Morgan, 8 seconds for Lucy, Lauren and Whitney. These scenes put together then last for 1 minute and 41 seconds. Every other shot in these scenes is only of Michael.

The rest of the episode features Michael, Janine and Alice solely.

Yet Den and Sharon's two hander features Dennis and Vicki for a good 3 minutes 10 seconds and you have that down as a two hander.

The two hander of Pat and Peggy includes the appearance of policemen.

The two hander between Sonia and Dot features Jim and Jamie.

The three hander with Martin, Sarah and Sonia also features Jim and Pauline.

The three hander with Ronnie, Bianca and Dot also features Roxy and Joel and Stephanie Reynolds.

Other characters have always featured in two/three/four handers in a small capacity, from the first of Den and Angie featuring a window cleaner.

Lisa Maxwell has also mentioned several times that the episode in which she appears is "essentially a four hander" with she, David, Carol and Masood. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.244.208.60 (talk) 15:09, 1 December 2013 (UTC)

Hi,
  1. With all those characters, it's not a three-hander unless a reliable source states that it is intended to be one. Otherwise it's just your opinion.
  2. Regarding "you have that down as a two hander" - not me. Other people wrote most of the page so I can't comment on that.
  3. I don't think minor characters like policemen and window cleaners count, but regular characters might do, unless a reliable source says otherwise. However, again I cannot comment on the other episodes listed.
  4. The three hander with Ronnie, Bianca and Dot was called a "(nearly) three-handed episode" by the Executive Producer, and the listing clarifies that.
  5. Maxwell has said that of her episode but that's her opinion, not that of the producers and writers, so it was probably not intended to be a four-hander. That episode featured nine credited characters.
  6. The whole page needs more sources to confirm the episodes are two-, three- and four-handers (and to show they are actually notable.
You could bring this up on the talk page where more people might see it, but I don't think any others will comment. –anemoneprojectors15:29, 1 December 2013 (UTC)

Leona's discography

Re this edit, it's just a list of other chart songs. And yeah SK only stands for Slovakia. I wasn't sure if it was that or SL at first. Sweden is SE, Slovenia is SI.  — ₳aron 11:48, 6 December 2013 (UTC)

I know it states the country in the reference but I wanted it to be more obvious. I started a discussion at Wikipedia talk:Record charts#Country abbreviations in chartsanemoneprojectors11:56, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
It's obvious for people who know it. We're just used to the more common ones like UK, US, SCO, IRE etc.  — ₳aron 12:41, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
I just think it should be standardised. It'll never be obvious - I'm imagining if my mother wanted to look up Leona's discography - she'd never know what SK meant, and would probably question AUT, but could tell what GER, SPA or FRA meant. However, she might not knowo what DE or ES means. As for SL - that's technically Sierra Leone. But feel free to join that discussion if you haven't already. –anemoneprojectors12:55, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
SL isn't Sierra Leona. If you look on iTunes, it shows you what they are. CH is Switzerland for example. That's what I mean, if you know it, it's easy. Applies to all of them.  — ₳aron 12:57, 6 December 2013 (UTC)
SL is Sierra Leone. See ISO 3166-2, specifically ISO 3166-2:SL. I'd rather use an official list than iTunes. –anemoneprojectors13:34, 6 December 2013 (UTC)

Ella Henderson page

Hello,

I see you reverted some changes I made to the Ella Henderson Xfactor page https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ella_Henderson#Ella_Henderson. Just to explain why I made the changes:

1. I was notified by Ella Henderson's father, who I communicate with on twitter, that Verity Keays is not a cousin of his wife Michelle- that was misreported in a Grimsby newspaper

2. I have written a new main page for Ella Henderson (singer), so was linking to it as a 'main page'-- but would appreciate advice on how to fully implement this change.

Regards

Allison — Preceding unsigned comment added by Allisonuk (talkcontribs) 20:22, 12 December 2013 (UTC)

Hi Allison. Your work is not gone, so don't worry. I moved the page to Ella Henderson (the correct, un-disambiguated title) and then reverted to the redirect. The history is now here. The reason I reverted to the redirect is because of Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ella Henderson (Singer). I know that was more than a year ago, and I know she has a record deal now but I'm not sure she's yet considered notable outside of The X Factor. If her album is out in March 2014, then it's not very long to wait. Perhaps closer to the time when the album has a release date and a title, then the article can be recreated (reverting to your last version would be a good idea). I hope that all makes sense. If you disagree then perhaps a wider discussion could take place, probably on Talk:List of The X Factor finalists (UK series 9), to see if other people think she's deserving of a stand-alone article at this time. –anemoneprojectors08:56, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
Thanks for getting back to me. I would disagree, in part due to precedent in that the likes of Leah McFall, Carolynne Poole have main pages with similar profiles; and also that Ella Henderson has released 4 promotional songs, appeared on RTE, the NTA awards and with Labrinth at the Capital Summertime ball since she left XFactor. I know she is this week doing a load of promo work, which may be worthy of comment in the next week or two.
If you still disagree with that logic, do you want me to post on that 'Talk List'??
Just for info, I did peer review what I wrote with 5 people, and her father kindly proof read it for factual accuracy- he had 2 comments the Verity Keays point and he would like a nicer photo! I asked him to provide photos we can get license permission for.

McFall has had charted singles. I'm not sure why Poole has an article. However, "other articles exist" isn't considered a good reason. So we should just look at Henderson without comparing her to others. Was it peer reviewed by Wikipedia editors? I'm going to guess it wasn't because the manual of style hasn't been considered. But that's easy to fix. Anyway, I've lookws at what Henderson has done since The X Factor, and much of it isn't out of the ordinary for someone who was a finalist on The X Factor but hasn't yet released anything. Note that people like Christopher Maloney, MK1 and The Risk have released singles but they haven't been successful so they don't even have separate articles. However, Henderson has done a lot, and maybe it's enough. Not many people would be invited onto the National Television Awards, for example, if they didn't have a single out. The page needs cleaning up, but I'm going to revert my redirect. :-) –anemoneprojectors11:11, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
But you shouldn't have recreated Ella Henderson (singer). –anemoneprojectors11:19, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
Ok thanks.Yes understood re the style tidy, but hopefully it is a good/clear starting point (it was 3 days effort!)
Can you explain specifically why you dispute the 'neutrality' of the article?
rgds — Preceding unsigned comment added by Allisonuk (talkcontribs) 11:48, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
For example, "finishing a shock 6th place", is not neutral (though "The exit has been described as the 'one of the biggest shocks'..." is fine). But yes it's a good starting point, nice job. –anemoneprojectors11:54, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
It actually said 'finishing a shock 6th place after being a strong favourite to win' with a reference showing she was a strong favourite! Not sure that warrants disputing its neutrality to be honest. Anyways thanks for your help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Allisonuk (talkcontribs) 12:05, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
A favourite according to whom, though? A bookmaker? We shouldn't include bookmaker odds and favourites - they vary between different bookmakers and change all the time, and are generally unencyclopaedic. The fact is that she didn't get the votes, and to say it was a shock is not neutral. Nobody knows the reason she didn't get the votes, but maybe it wasn't a shock many people. –anemoneprojectors12:15, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
It was very widely reported, in many national newspapers, that it was one of the biggest shocks on XFactor, even the show acknowledges it. To ignore that wouldn't do the article justice as that shock is attached to her, to suggest that saying that is 'not neutral' would seem very unreasonable, especially as the shock can be referenced to many reputable sources.
Is that the only point you dispute re neutrality? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Allisonuk (talkcontribs) 13:55, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
Like I said, the line "The exit has been described as the 'one of the biggest shocks'..." is fine, though should really say who called it that. To say "it was a shock" is not neutral, but to say "[person or publication] said it was a shock" is factual. I haven't read the whole article fully (only scanned), but that stood out. There's probably nothing else. –anemoneprojectors14:01, 13 December 2013 (UTC)
"Much anticipated" is also non-neutral. –anemoneprojectors14:11, 13 December 2013 (UTC)

Thanks. Please can you use an edit summary to explain your reasons next time, as it saves a lot of trouble for everyone involved, and be aware that the burden of evidence lies with the editor who adds or restores material. –anemoneprojectors14:23, 13 December 2013 (UTC)

No worries

I just wanted to give more detail on stuff, but if you want to revert it, that fine to me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jimmy875 (talkcontribs) 09:18, 15 December 2013 (UTC)

Woohoo! Thank you. =]Rain the 1 14:11, 15 December 2013 (UTC)

When information sourced from books was added to Carol Jackson's article - the page numbers were not cited. I have made a start but I only have two books used. So I hoped you could help out? Do you own "Albert Square & Me" and "Eastenders: The First 10 Years"? If you did would you be able to cite the page numbers to the relevant parts?Rain the 1 16:07, 15 December 2013 (UTC)

I don't own any EastEnders books but I think User:Gungadin does. She doesn't edit much these days but you might be lucky. –anemoneprojectors16:33, 15 December 2013 (UTC)
Call yourself an EastEnders fan! Tssk. Well in that case I will ask her then. One of the books is cheap enough to buy if not. The other is expensive. I normally remove incorrectly sourced information. The problem is the book supports the entire casting section!Rain the 1 16:45, 15 December 2013 (UTC)
The first book is available to read on Google Books. Not sure about the second. But please don't remove the info just because we don't have the page number. –anemoneprojectors17:03, 15 December 2013 (UTC)

National Cycle Network routes

Hi. I think you're a bit confused about NCN national/regional routes.

National routes are those where the route number is signed in white with a red background. All of those on List of National Cycle Network routes are such.

Regional routes are those where the route number is signed in white with a blue background. These have county-wide numbering - i.e. there may be two Regional Route 43s in different counties.

Regional routes are actually being phased out, and the routes are becoming National routes. Sustrans' own page explains it well:

Sustrans is currently embarking on a project to re-number and re-classify Regional routes as National routes, which comprises the allocation of new two- and three-digit numbers to the routes in the same fashion as detailed above, making each route a branch of an established National route.

So if you could please stop editing the page to call the 2/3-digit National routes "Regional routes", that'd be great. Thank you.

If you have any more questions, please post here. I'm a Sustrans ranger who has recently worked on renumbering a two-digit Regional route to a two-digit National route, and am also involved in setting up a new three-digit National route. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.208.138.137 (talk) 14:35, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

Thanks. I didn't see that Sustrans are phasing out regional routes. Do you know when it'll be done by? I think Wikipedia should wait until it is done (or at least mention that it's in progress). I live near Route 12 and it has a red background. (Also, could you have a little read of WP:COI? Thanks!) –anemoneprojectors14:46, 18 December 2013 (UTC)
Actually the edit you made is good. In the article, they were called "primary" and "secondary" until someone changed them to "national" and "regional" on 12 December [24]. I disagreed that "regional" was an appropriate name until I checked the website that said (and still says) they are called "national" and "regional" routes. But the fact they are all called "National cycle route [number]" and not "Regional cycle route [number]" implies they're all national anyway. –anemoneprojectors15:05, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

Merry Christmas!

Have a good one! :)

Good, but not really a 5x expansion though, is it? –anemoneprojectors23:06, 15 December 2013 (UTC)
It qualifies as a new article.--Launchballer 23:13, 15 December 2013 (UTC)
I thought that articles split from list entries had to be 5x expansions of the list entry. Is that no longer the rule? –anemoneprojectors23:14, 15 December 2013 (UTC)
I've never seen that rule before. Could I not simply reword the content of it, like I did with The Voice UK discography?--Launchballer 00:04, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
Doesn't it fall under 1b of WP:WIADYK#Eligibility criteria? - JuneGloom Talk 00:57, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
According to that, that is acceptable once it is reworded. I'll get on that when I get back from school.--Launchballer 07:18, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
Maybe if nobody mentions it, nobody will know ;-) I'm sure plenty of DYKs like this go through. I seem to remember questioning one before and it was still allowed. –anemoneprojectors08:18, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
Okay, now please could you weigh in there. We need an independent reviewer to review the hook, as it was suggested by the reviewer, Matty.007.--Launchballer 18:50, 23 December 2013 (UTC)
Glad to have helped, and very pleased to see Sam Bailey, Leona Lewis and EastEnders all on the main page over Christmas ;-) –anemoneprojectors18:18, 26 December 2013 (UTC)

Mick

Your article is so impressive. I can't believe the amount of info you've found, considering he hasn't even appeared yet! I was wondering if you had/seen All About Soap issue 309 (9–22 November 2013)? There's an article about the Carter family, which gives some details about each member (except the dog). - JuneGloom Talk 20:51, 7 December 2013 (UTC)

I should have it as I haven't missed an issue of any of the soap mags for a while. But I'm not at home now until Monday. I shall have to re-check that one. Perhaps I didn't think there was anything worth adding, or maybe I just forgot to use it after I read the mag. Thanks :) –anemoneprojectors20:57, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
Oh by the way, I'm hoping to make the article live early next week if I can, to go for DYK in time for his arrival. Any suggestions for a good hook? I put a couple on the talk page of the draft. –anemoneprojectors20:59, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
Okay. If you can't find it, let me know and I'll scan you the article. If you decide to do a Carter page, there's a great quote from DTC about the creation of the family. I quite like the hooks you've got, especially the Carl one. I think it would work even if you didn't get your Carl draft finished in time. I'll have another look and see if I can come up with anymore. - JuneGloom Talk 21:05, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
Oh yeah, because I was concentrating on Mick, I didn't start collecting sources for the family. When I do, I definitely plan on going back through the magazines - I don't throw them out. My Carl page needs some expansion but as it stands it would be a pretty fine article, so I think he'll be ok for next week as well. –anemoneprojectors21:10, 7 December 2013 (UTC)
I found the article. I had conveniently written "Carter family" across Tina McIntyre's face on the front cover! And yes I can use something in it for Mick - as well as all the Carters when the time comes. So thanks for that, I must have just forgotten it. –anemoneprojectors15:43, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
No problem! I'm glad you found the magazine and the article was useful. You better get this week's Inside Soap, there's a three page Danny Dyer interview/feature. - JuneGloom Talk 18:16, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
Is it still out tomorrow as normal. I get confused at this time of year, especially as the last one was a double issue... –anemoneprojectors18:29, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
Oh, it is. I should pay attention to the back pages :) –anemoneprojectors18:30, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
It's out now! And the next one's out on 28 December. - JuneGloom Talk 18:32, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
Last issue says "on sale Tuesday 10 Dec". But I had assumed no issue would be out this week because last week's was a double. 28 December is a Saturday... so I'll probably end up buying it on 2 January! Depends how New Year pans out for me. I'll try to get them all on the day. All About Soap and Soaplife might come out on funny days too. Next ones are 17 Dec as normal, phew! –anemoneprojectors18:38, 9 December 2013 (UTC)
Got it, added it. Not done the "Wedding drama!" box yet. Wondering if Nancy should be moved (and Wayne added) to 2014. –anemoneprojectors16:48, 10 December 2013 (UTC)
Hmm, Mick's page is definitely ready to go, even with more to be added, so I could try to get that for a DYK. Carl's draft isn't complete yet but could still go to mainspace now, not fully completed. Hmm. Not having a Christmas DYK wouldn't be a major issue though. @JuneGloom07: any thoughts? –anemoneprojectors10:09, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
For something that isn't fully completed, Carl's article looks really good. Personally, I think the Christmas DYK would be great, but it's up to you. - JuneGloom Talk 20:28, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
I worked a lot on Carl's page today and I think I can move both to the mainspace tomorrow. Christmas Day would be good as it's Mick's first episode. I'll ask for it, but there are loads in the Christmas Day holding area, all about Christmas, and many with a photo - I wanted Danny Dyer's face on the main page! So I could ask for Christmas Eve instead. –anemoneprojectors21:36, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
Christmas Eve could work. - JuneGloom Talk 23:29, 16 December 2013 (UTC)
The Original Barnstar

Bearing that in mind, could you please move this to here? - JuneGloom Talk 14:21, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
Thank you so much! I couldn't have done it without Danny Dyer though! It's because he's so well known, controversial and outspoken! And done ;-) –anemoneprojectors14:24, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
And thank you! I do wonder what the article would have looked like if they hadn't cast Danny. - JuneGloom Talk 14:36, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
Not very long! Imagine if he took on the Carl role! Erk. –anemoneprojectors14:48, 17 December 2013 (UTC)
He would have been wasted as Carl. Anyway, I think we have a sock problem: User:Hannahhld1972, User:Hannahhld1d and User:Hannahhld1 must be the same person. They've all edited the same articles, such as Stella Price. - JuneGloom Talk 19:34, 18 December 2013 (UTC)

Done. Shall I restore the old history or leave it deleted? –anemoneprojectors00:24, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
Thank you and I'm not sure. I don't think either answer will affect the article's chances of getting to DYK, will it? - JuneGloom Talk 01:05, 29 December 2013 (UTC)
No, it won't make a difference. I don't think I need to. I'm just not always sure if I should or not! It's not a merge - it's replacing the redirect. –anemoneprojectors01:08, 29 December 2013 (UTC)

EastEnders Pets

What is the EE pets list about? Were you requesting help?Rain the 1 00:19, 27 December 2013 (UTC)

I just wondered if anyone can fill in the gaps. I don't think it'll become an article. It used to be one but was AFDed. –anemoneprojectors00:30, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
Would you like me to add some information to it? I could try.Rain the 1 00:34, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
Yeah go ahead. –anemoneprojectors01:12, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
In the case you did not reply until tomorrow, I made a start. Not sure how to add it though as there is a table then a written list. I'll copy and paste what I did so far.Rain the 1 01:27, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
Well I made a bit of a start. There does seem to be even more information for some obscure pets. If you think it is worth carrying on, I'll continue - if not then I won't.Rain the 1 02:13, 27 December 2013 (UTC)
That's brilliant! Thank you. If there's more and you don't mind! –anemoneprojectors10:24, 27 December 2013 (UTC)

Would you consider semi-protecting Clare Devine? Problematic IP's for the last couple of months. It would just enable the capture of the socks when they inevitably use their account to revert.Rain the 1 13:34, 28 December 2013 (UTC)

Yeah, I'll consider it. Though it was almost a month between the last two times that IPs had to be reverted. –anemoneprojectors13:52, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
Well keep it watched? No one cares. False promises from a group of admins who kind of let these anons run a muck.
Now. The pets list - would you be able to add some information for Lady and the Tramp?Rain the 1 18:51, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
I already watchlsited it. Something could be added about the dogs with articles and list entries, though not too much. Yeah I can do that, one day :-) –anemoneprojectors18:56, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
Thanks. One day? We could complete that list soon though. =] It is already shaping up. But there are two styles. do you want tables or no tables used throughout?Rain the 1 18:59, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
Not sure I like the tables, so I was considering a complete revamp. I wasn't thinking it would be an article though, which is why it's not been worked on, and I didn't expect real-world information, just dates and story and stuff. But we could get it to be an article now, so I'll have to think harder. –anemoneprojectors19:15, 28 December 2013 (UTC)
