Rollback and reviewer
Hello Raydann. Your account has been granted the "rollbacker" and "pending changes reviewer" user rights. These user rights allow you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes and quickly revert the edits of other users.
- Please keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin).
- The list of articles awaiting review is located at Special:PendingChanges, while the list of articles that have pending changes protection enabled is located at Special:StablePages. You may find the following pages useful to review:
- Wikipedia:Reviewing pending changes, the guideline on reviewing.
- Wikipedia:Pending changes, the summary of the use of pending changes.
- Wikipedia:Protection policy#Pending changes protection, the policy determining which pages can be given pending changes protection by administrators.
Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of reviewer or rollback. If you no longer want either of these user rights, contact me and I'll remove it, alternatively you can leave a request on the administrators' noticeboard. Happy editing! Defematory comments on our organizations page
Hi Raydann,
Kindly revert to my comments regarding the changes I tried making and wasn't able to (FII) Thank you Sourya936 (talk) 14:55, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
- Hi @Sourya936. Please understand that Wikipedia stands with Neutral Point of View, and articles must state neither positive nor negative aspects on any person/organization/entity, but it must state facts which are verifiable through primary & secondary sources. That is why sometimes articles about you or your organization isn't necessarily a good thing. The derogatory remarks you tried to remove from the page Future Investment Initiative Institute was supported by reliable sources and ergo if you try to remove the whole section, it will be seen as vandalism. Also, if you are paid by any employer to write about their organization/themselves, you must disclose a conflict of interest. Furthermore please see WP:COMPORG & Wikipedia:Libel. Thanks. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 15:20, 13 November 2022 (UTC)
Copyright assistance
I came across the page Indian National Centre for Ocean Information Services and conducted a WP:Copyvio check on it, and it resulted in possible violation of copyright [1]. The tool shows 79% similarity to Byju's url. It is a possibility that Byjuy's copied from Wikipedia and not the other way round as the text has existed on the article for quite some time (even if the suspected text is removed/rewritten, won't the revisions be eligible for revdel under criterion RD1, if so then a tedious amount of revisions must be deleted), but there is no timestamp on Byjuy's url, so how do I figure out if it is a copyright violation or not. Also see this report, the same text is also present in another website, which might indicate that the content was copied from Wikipedia. Quoting the documentation on copyright:
Some cases will be false alarms. For example, text that can be found elsewhere on the Web that was in fact copied from Wikipedia in the first place is not a copyright violation – at least not on Wikipedia's part. In these cases, it is a good idea to make a note of the situation on the discussion page.
So should I bring up this copyright issue on the article's Talk page? I wanted to get feedback from an admin before I would start this topic on the talk page or at Wikipedia:Copyright problems. Thanks. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 18:45, 12 November 2022 (UTC)
- Sure, you can go ahead and start the topic. Have you also cross-referenced the content with the article's references of The Hindu? The earliest Byju's content I see from the web archive is from October 2021. Much of the phrasing is different between wikipedia and Byju's. Per WP:Reliable sources/Noticeboard/Archive 387#Is Byju's considered a reliable source?,
Byju's is an exam prep website which just aggregates material... They are more or less questionable tertiary sources since they don't have any significant editorial oversight let alone academic peer review.

51.190.232.32 (talk) 11:39, 15 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hi there 51.190.232.32, in my opinion, the notability is not the issue here. The issue is that the draft is written in a way which publicizes the subject in a promotional manner, rather than stating facts. I suggest you re-write the draft to comply with Wikipedia's Biography of living persons policy. Happy Editing! ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 14:46, 16 December 2022 (UTC)
Ellen Corby
Her article on W. says: Corby in 1969 trained as a teacher of transcendental meditation.[7]
That sentence is a little terse, so I tried to complete that line by adding where the training took place and who trained her. Also I added that she was pracising TM since a few years already. For the latter there is no website to reference to. She said so herself during the Merv Griffin show, recorded on 27 March 1975 (to be broadcast on 14 April 1975) at the Hollywood Palace, Hollywood. However, for the sake of transparency, I must clarify that I will not publish any more drafts by LIUC students or of their/your Educational Project because other editors might think I have a conflict of interest, which is obviously not true. New page reviewer granted
Hi Raydann. Your account has been added to the "New page reviewers
" user group. Please check back at WP:PERM in case your user right is time limited or probationary. This user group allows you to review new pages through the Curation system and mark them as patrolled, tag them for maintenance issues, or nominate them for deletion. The list of articles awaiting review is located at the New Pages Feed. New page reviewing is vital to maintaining the integrity of the encyclopedia. If you have not already done so, you must read the tutorial at New Pages Review, the linked guides and essays, and fully understand the deletion policy. If you need any help or want to discuss the process, you are welcome to use the new page reviewer talk page. In addition, please remember:
- Be nice to new editors. They are usually not aware that they are doing anything wrong. Do make use of the message feature when tagging pages for maintenance so that they are aware.
- You will frequently be asked by users to explain why their page is being deleted. Please be formal and polite in your approach to them – even if they are not.
- If you are not sure what to do with a page, don't review it – just leave it for another reviewer.
- Accuracy is more important than speed. Take your time to patrol each page. Use the message feature to communicate with article creators and offer advice as much as possible.
The reviewer right does not change your status or how you can edit articles. If you no longer want this user right, you also may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. In cases of abuse or persistent inaccuracy of reviewing, or long-term inactivity, the right may be withdrawn at administrator discretion. signed, Rosguill talk 17:20, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
Gentle reminder on NACs
Hey Raydann, I noticed you closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Massacres of Azerbaijanis in Armenia in 1917–1921, an AfD I was aware of but not involved in. I would consider this to be a WP:BADNAC, which identifies situations where non-admin closures are inappropriate. This includes cases where "the outcome is a close call (especially where there are several valid outcomes) or likely to be controversial." To me, the discussion clearly indicates controversy, suggesting that a NAC is inappropriate in this case. Let the admins take the heat for this kind of closure! Thanks, Suriname0 (talk) 23:14, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hey there @Suriname0! Thanks for pointing this out. I agree with you, the discussion, as I came to realise now was indeed a controversial one. I assure you, I'll be more careful in future non-admin closures and you won't see another WP:BADNAC coming from me. See you around! ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 08:23, 19 December 2022 (UTC)
AFD review
Hello, I was hoping to discuss the Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Massacres of Azerbaijanis in Armenia in 1917–1921 closure. There is not a single reliable source on that article supporting there being any "large scale ethnic cleansing", and a source was provided in the AFD discussion showing that it is largely a fabrication. The sources in the article that are reliable are actually describing the Deportation of Azerbaijanis from Armenia, of which much of the massacres article is a mirror of. But much of the article is built on unreliable primary sources (the fabrications) and fringe scholarship. Would you be willing to discuss/reconsider overturning the result in order to avoid the WP:DRV process? The above WP:BADNAC discussion seems to be another reason why the result deserves reviewing. Dallavid (talk) 21:51, 19 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hello there @Dallavid! While closing the deletion discussion, I counted 10 Keep and 5 Delete votes, and seeing the consensus to keep the article, I went ahead with the closure. However, as Suriname0 pointed above, the discussion was somewhat controversial, so that's why my closure was a WP:BADNAC. If you are unhappy with the closure, I'm afraid there's not much I can do either, you'll have to take it to WP:DRV. I hope this gets a resolution. Thanks. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 17:15, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
AFDs
Hello, Raydann,
It's okay to close or relist AFD discussions a little early, but please do not do so 5 or 6 hours early. Some editors come in right before the week's discussion is about to end to add some final remarks. This isn't a race. I can see you're an eager new editor but please do not jump the gun and wrap things up too soon. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 22:07, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
- I see from the message above that you also chose to close Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Massacres of Azerbaijanis in Armenia in 1917–1921. This was a complicated discussion and NAC closures are only for uncontroversial closures where the outcome is obvious. You've only been editing for a few months, please do not take on more challenging tasks that you don't have enough experience to do correctly or they will likely be challenged here or at Deletion review which is rarely a pleasant experience. I'd stick with closing discussions where opinions are unanimous one way or the other. I'm glad you recognize that this was a BADNAC (that's a good sign!). Liz Read! Talk! 22:12, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hello there @Liz!
Thanks for the heads up. Sure enough I'll halt my closing/relisting of AfD's until I gain more experience. I'm always open to constructive feedback, and believe that is what a community is for, helping each other in righting their wrongs. See you around! ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 08:15, 26 December 2022 (UTC)

Thank you for taking the time to review my submission. I understand your concerns about the article being a news report of a single event, but I want to assure you that the government scheme that I wrote about is still ongoing. There is a significant amount of coverage about this scheme on the internet, including news articles, press releases, and official government websites.
I understand that Wikipedia has strict guidelines for what is considered notable enough for an article, and I am willing to make any necessary changes to ensure that my submission meets those guidelines. G11 declined – Al Mana Tower
Hi Raydann, I don't want this to feel like a dogpile (being the third person in a few hours to write about this), though I declined your G11 tagging on Al Mana Tower. While it's true that some of the sources lack significant coverage and don't help towards notability, the article text is not blatant advertising/promotion/spam (rather, it is mostly basic information about the building), and can be readily improved provided sufficient coverage in reliable sources exists. You may wish to familiarize yourself with the nuances of the speedy deletion criteria – I recommend reading WP:Field guide to proper speedy deletion if you haven't already – as correct use of CSD is a fundamental aspect of new page patrol. Complex/Rational 14:50, 26 December 2022 (UTC)

New Pages Patrol newsletter January 2023
Hello Raydann,
- Backlog
The October drive reduced the backlog from 9,700 to an amazing 0! Congratulations to WaddlesJP13 who led with 2084 points. See this page for further details. The queue is steadily rising again and is approaching 2,000. It would be great if <2,000 were the “new normal”. Please continue to help out even if it's only for a few or even one patrol a day.
- 2022 Awards
Onel5969 won the 2022 cup for 28,302 article reviews last year - that's an average of nearly 80/day. There was one Gold Award (5000+ reviews), 11 Silver (2000+), 28 Iron (360+) and 39 more for the 100+ barnstar. Rosguill led again for the 4th year by clearing 49,294 redirects. For the full details see the Awards page and the Hall of Fame. Congratulations everyone!
Minimum deletion time: The previous WP:NPP guideline was to wait 15 minutes before tagging for deletion (including draftification and WP:BLAR). Due to complaints, a consensus decided to raise the time to 1 hour. To illustrate this, very new pages in the feed are now highlighted in red. (As always, this is not applicable to attack pages, copyvios, vandalism, etc.)
New draftify script: In response to feedback from AFC, the The Move to Draft script now provides a choice of set messages that also link the creator to a new, friendly explanation page. The script also warns reviewers if the creator is probably still developing the article. The former script is no longer maintained. Please edit your edit your common.js or vector.js file from User:Evad37/MoveToDraft.js

Discussions with the WMF The PageTriage open letter signed by 444 users is bearing fruit. The Growth Team has assigned some software engineers to work on PageTriage, the software that powers the NewPagesFeed and the Page Curation toolbar. WMF has submitted dozens of patches in the last few weeks to modernize PageTriage's code, which will make it easier to write patches in the future. This work is helpful but is not very visible to the end user. For patches visible to the end user, volunteers such as Novem Linguae and MPGuy2824 have been writing patches for bug reports and feature requests. The Growth Team also had a video conference with the NPP coordinators to discuss revamping the landing pages that new users see.

Hello,
I wished to provide an update to the Draft:David B. Beck page. I corrected the WP:OVERCITE and tightened up the citations themselves across the article per your review notes. Thus I resubmitted the draft. Chimeric Link (talk) 22:48, 20 January 2023 (UTC)

Draft:Ginsparg–Wilson equation
Hi Raydann! Just concerning the declined article Draft:Ginsparg–Wilson equation; I'm not sure what more additional context the article requires for the type of article it is. The article is by subject matter a very technical article in a super niche topic, with the lead paragraph specifically putting it in context of lattice field theory, assuming the reader has a basic understanding of this area (it is its primary parent category). This is an article that will only ever be read by physics graduates/academics; people who are familiar with lattice field theory, or at least quantum field theory, so providing context beyond this is not necessary. This is however a general policy of Wikipedia. I mean look at any article in advanced mathematics. I'm a theoretical physicist and I have no idea what they are on about. But I'm not the intended audience.
On a more constructive note, what specific additional context do you think is warranted, given that the article is a very technical article? I do however agree that the article is a bit stubby, but that is besides the point. Best, OpenScience709 (talk) 11:18, 26 January 2023 (UTC)
Draft:Iker Unzu
Hello, Raydann. You previously had a look at Draft:Iker Unzu and I have some questions about the review.
First, I don't understand about the added sources being unreliable. Which ones aren't reliable? Because most of them are from well known newspapers in Spain, do you mean the ones that are not about Iker Unzu specifically?
Second, you mentioned that the article is a copy of another article written on the YouTube Wiki, however the article I've written hasn't been copied from absolutely no web, on the contrary: Some time ago I wrote the first draft about Unzu and an unidentified user copied and pasted the information on that Wiki, thus stealing my article. Unfortunately I don't know how to demonstrate this, but perhaps the Wayback Machine could be used?[1]
I do have the article code saved, his copy is badly done and contains errors, since he didn't copy and paste the article correctly when creating it in YouTube Wiki.
How can I improve the article/biography and what references should I delete to make it work?
Iker Unzu is a notable figure in Spain and I think he has the necessary articles/sources to be in Wikipedia, so I'll make the necessary changes to improve the article.
If necessary, I'll report the user who created the copied article on YouTube Wiki for copying.
I'd really appreciate your advice on how to improve it.
Thanks for your help!

Requested move closure contested: Ukraine after the Russian Revolution
I was the one who started the most recent move discussion in Talk:Ukraine after the Russian Revolution and only just found out about its closure. I must have bitten of more than I can chew with my schedule since I didn't even notice that comments had been made. I might be too late to make my case for the move but I find the counter-arguments that were made to be flimsy since it's been previously established here on Wikipedia that the Russian Civil War was part of the Russian Revolution (see there respective infoboxes) so I was wondering if it's possible to reopen the discussion. Charles Essie (talk) 23:18, 30 January 2023 (UTC)
- Hello @Charles Essie, I can totally understand your point. Even I have experienced the same many times. Since the move discussion has already been closed, you are free to open another discussion on the same title. If i revert my closure of the discussion, I'm not very sure how the RMbot will take it. The best way is ofcourse opening another discussion, and let me tell you, this closure doesn't reflect the consensus of the next discussion. So start another one and address the concerns if the move be opposed, and when consensus is reached, I or any other RM volunteer will be happy to act accordingly with the move and closure. Have a wonderful day/night ! ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 08:13, 31 January 2023 (UTC)

Title of AMS-Osram article starts with lower case after move
Hello @Raydann, i just noticed, that the title for the article https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMS-Osram is now written as "aMS-Osram". The version history says, you moved the article form "Ams-Osram" to "AMS-Osram", but the first letter now is lower case instead of upper case. This looks strange and I don't think it is intended. Unfortunately I don't know how to fix tis, maybe you could have a look Strohmi93 (talk) 13:13, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
- @Strohmi93, thank you so much for pointing this out. This is a rather strange case indeed. I moved the page to the correct title AMS-Osram and the page exists, but when you visit it, the first letter is automatically lowercased. I was thinking maybe I made a mistake while moving the page, but it doesn't look like it now that I am diving into the matter. I tried to move the page again, but it wouldn't let me. Could be an interface error, could be not. I'll gather more information and hopefully find a solution to it. Thank you again for bringing this into consideration.
Note that AMS-Osram & aMS-Osram both leads directly to the same page without any redirect involved. Unusual.❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 13:37, 15 February 2023 (UTC)- Strohmi93 the issue is fixed now. Basically there was a template called {{lowercase title}} in the wikitext that was forcing the page to display the title with the first letter in lowercase. It was fixed by Primefac. Now it all looks fine. Thank you. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 14:09, 15 February 2023 (UTC)
Timashevsky district
Just to note that I find this closure to be bad. I could have just reverted it because it is non-admin, but I will not do it. This one should have been closed as no consensus. The fact that Mzajac is massively disrupting the topic area should not be used as a pretext for further disruption. Ymblanter (talk) 09:29, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
- I'm sorry you feel this way. The prior closure of Timashevsk at Talk:Timashevsk#Requested move 11 January 2023 formed the basis of this closure as per WP:CONSISTENT. I have no grudges towards you or Mzajac, and I performed this closure as it deemed suitable to me. I also have no objection if you revert my closure, or if you want, I can revert it myself and relist it to generate broader consensus. Furthermore, you can even take this to Wikipedia:Move review, but please understand that I assumed good faith. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 09:49, 16 February 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for the courtesy ping. Ymblanter has a long history of objecting to me, personally, which has recently escalated to blatant insults (e.g., [2][3][4][5]) and disruptive behaviour such as this.

Please explain why you are reverting my edits containing factual and relevant information
The only reason I can see for reverting my edits is because it's factual information that doesn't fit a political narrative. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a PR vehicle. 121.200.6.242 (talk) 12:56, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
- I have once again reverted your edit because you did not provide a source for the content you added in Gary Maas. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 13:09, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
- It is fairly common knowledge that Maas resides in St Kilda. It is also mentioned in passing in several online articles about him. What would you consider a valid source for his home address, and would it really be ethical to link to it? 121.200.6.242 (talk) 13:16, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
- Exactly, that's the whole point. Why do you want the whole world to know where he resides. Wikipedia has real life consequences. I strongly suggest you do not add this information to his article. Thanks for understanding. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 13:33, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
- In practical terms, knowing the suburb someone resides in is about as useful as knowing the state they live in for the purposes of physically locating them. This is a spurious argument to exclude information you, for some reason, do not want in this page. 121.200.6.242 (talk) 14:02, 20 February 2023 (UTC)

Your dual name closures
Kia ora - can you please explain how you reached the verdicts for the move requests on both Te Pōporo / Bulli Point and Maniniaro / Angelus Peak? There are some fairly big logical holes in the arguments of those in favour of the move, and I don't believe their arguments hold enough weight to justify moving the pages. Turnagra (talk) 09:33, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
- Kia ora @Turnagra. There was nearly unambiguous support for the move. BilledMammal responded fairly to those who were in opposition. You stated your reasoning but others believed otherwise. My verdict was generalized on these facts. Best. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 09:53, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
- Some of the supporting votes clearly didn't have any regard for the substance of the discussion though - such as pointing to WP:COMMONNAME after it was demonstrated that the proposed title hadn't been used for over a decade. The comments were also boilerplate which those users post on literally every dual name discussion, making it less likely that it was actually based on the merits of the particular case. Turnagra (talk) 18:01, 20 February 2023 (UTC)
- Just as a heads up, given the lack of response I've listed one of them at move review - while I still disagree with the outcome of the second, I think the close is fine based on the discussion and the arguments held more weight there. Ngā mihi, Turnagra (talk) 00:29, 25 February 2023 (UTC)

Constant314 has now added a COI template to the page. Only minor changes have been made since 16 February. What should I do? G John Dick (talk) 10:53, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
- There is nothing you need to do. The COI template simply tells the reader that a major contributor has a possible COI. It is not an accusation of bad faith or that anything needs to be changed. Constant314 (talk) 13:24, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
- @Constant314 @G john dick: Hello there! I have removed the COI template as I don't think it was really needed because the article doesn't have any WP:NPOV issues. While it is true that the template informs readers about the conflict of interest, it also highlights that the article has neutrality problems. To quote,

Page mover granted
Hello, Raydann. Your account has been granted the "extendedmover" user right, either following a request for it or demonstrating familiarity with working with article names and moving pages. You are now able to rename pages without leaving behind a redirect, move subpages when moving the parent page(s), and move category pages.
Please take a moment to review Wikipedia:Page mover for more information on this user right, especially the criteria for moving pages without leaving a redirect. Please remember to follow post-move cleanup procedures and make link corrections where necessary, including broken double-redirects when suppressredirect
is used. This can be done using Special:WhatLinksHere. It is also very important that no one else be allowed to access your account, so you should consider taking a few moments to secure your password. As with all user rights, be aware that if abused, or used in controversial ways without consensus, your page mover status can be revoked.

- Hello @CrypticFella, articles about any individual or a company in Wikipedia is subject to it being notable enough to deserve an article. Even more so, we require sources in the form of citations to validate information. If you are just starting a company, getting an article for it will be difficult unless it is already notable. In the future, if you believe that your company is worthy of having an article, you can refer to Help:My first article and WP:42 for more in-depth knowledge. Potential Speedy Deletion for "Lisa Ch'ng"
Content might not be rich enough before the most recent edits, but you may identify the notability upon seeing the Chinese, Cantonese and Japanese version. And now, some further information and citations have just been added. Please reconsider.--Universehk (talk) 08:31, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for improving the article, I can still not ascertain if she meets the notability guidelines because I believe that there is no significance of importance here. She was the runner up (not the winner) of a decade old pageant. Even her filmography doesn't have any well known dramas/movies. After the declined Speedy Deletion, I was gonna take this to AfD, but @Timothy beat me to it (with a thorough analysis of the references). I firmly believe that this article should be deleted or at the very least, draftified.

Question from Miklosse (10:12, 3 April 2023)
I have just read an entry for Belgian Resistance Fighter Andree de Jongh. However, it cites a source as the Nightingale as a historical reference for her. This books is fiction and has little relevance to the real person, in fact most of the facts are wrong. I have researched the subject of the occupation of France and the escape via the Pyrenees via the Comet line, and this book of fiction is highly inaccurate. The writer doesn't bother to include a list of sources and should NOT be cited as a reliable source for Andree de Jongh. Someone has even written an article on what is wrong with it historically and generally and I could add to it. Could the entry be edited to remove this book as a reference? --Miklosse (talk) 10:12, 3 April 2023 (UTC)

Michael Liani
Thank you @Raydann: for the time and effort you took to review the draft article on Michael Liani. I am not sure I understand why it was rejected, since I believe there are at least 4 comprehensive articles about Liani in reliable sources (Israeli media): The Times of Israel, Haaretz, Calcalist and Ynet (refs # 1, 5, 12 and an external link). Can you advise me what else is needed? --Adig-pt (talk) 13:33, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
- Hi there! My source assessment was marginal in this BLP. However, as you've pointed out, I believe it's a real possibility that an editor can ascertain WP:NBLP on this. So I've resubmitted the draft to be reviewed by another reviewer. Best. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 15:22, 1 June 2023 (UTC)

Chandramukhi's screenplay was inspired by a tragedy that occured in the Alumoottil family. You took away the citations from Times of India and Manorama https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/entertainment/malayalam/movies/photo-features/top-horror-movies-in-malayalam/photostory/50159066.cms and https://www.manoramaonline.com/travel/travel-kerala/2021/08/08/alummoottil-meda-haunded-house-movie-manichitrathazhu.html and the family website when you reverted my edits. New Pages Patrol newsletter June 2023
Hello Raydann,
Backlog
Redirect drive: In response to an unusually high redirect backlog, we held a redirect backlog drive in May. The drive completed with 23851 reviews done in total, bringing the redirect backlog to 0 (momentarily). Congratulations to Hey man im josh who led with a staggering 4316 points, followed by Meena and Greyzxq with 2868 and 2546 points respectively. See this page for more details. The redirect queue is steadily rising again and is steadily approaching 4,000. Please continue to help out, even if it's only for a few or even one review a day.
Redirect autopatrol: All administrators without autopatrol have now been added to the redirect autopatrol list. If you see any users who consistently create significant amounts of good quality redirects, consider requesting redirect autopatrol for them here.
WMF work on PageTriage: The WMF Moderator Tools team, consisting of Sam, Jason and Susana, and also some patches from Jon, has been hard at work updating PageTriage. They are focusing their efforts on modernising the extension's code rather than on bug fixes or new features, though some user-facing work will be prioritised. This will help make sure that this extension is not deprecated, and is easier to work on in the future. In the next month or so, we will have an opt-in beta test where new page patrollers can help test the rewrite of Special:NewPagesFeed, to help find bugs. We will post more details at WT:NPPR when we are ready for beta testers.
Articles for Creation (AFC): All new page reviewers are now automatically approved for Articles for Creation draft reviewing (you do not need to apply at WT:AFCP like was required previously). To install the AFC helper script, visit Special:Preferences, visit the Gadgets tab, tick "Yet Another AFC Helper Script", then click "Save". To find drafts to review, visit Special:NewPagesFeed, and at the top left, tick "Articles for Creation". To review a draft, visit a submitted draft, click on the "More" menu, then click "Review (AFCH)". You can also comment on and submit drafts that are unsubmitted using the script.
You can review the AFC workflow at WP:AFCR. It is up to you if you also want to mark your AFC accepts as NPP reviewed (this is allowed but optional, depends if you would like a second set of eyes on your accept). Don't forget that draftspace is optional, so moves of drafts to mainspace (even if they are not ready) should not be reverted, except possibly if there is conflict of interest.
Pro tip: Did you know that visual artists such as painters have their own SNG? The most common part of this "creative professionals" criteria that applies to artists is WP:ARTIST 4b (solo exhibition, not group exhibition, at a major museum) or 4d (being represented within the permanent collections of two museums).

Hi - regarding your AFC acceptance of this, I've redirected it, as it was originally, for lack of sufficient content (check the refs) or notability (abbots, while often notable, aren't inherently so). I wouldn't normally bother you about this but this is one of very many drafts created by a prolific Australian IP editor apparently totally GF but lacking in discrimination (or copyediting skills), most of whose creations end up as redirects for lack of notability. If you come across any more mediaeval French abbots or bishops, they prob warrant some circumspection. Best, Ingratis (talk) 18:02, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thank you for notifying me, I shall keep that in mind. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 16:00, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
NPP Recruitment
Hey, since you are in charge of NPP recruitment, i think you should take a stab at creating the next MMS list. I can walk you through it, if needed. The short explanation is to move (without a redirect, ideally) one of the blank templates from Wikipedia talk:Mass message senders#Mass-mail subscription list shells to the NPP projectspace, then fill it up with the talk pages of users that we get from the relevant quarry, and inform Zippy about it. If you get stuck on any of the above, please ping me. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 03:28, 22 July 2023 (UTC)
- Hello there @MPGuy2824, thank you very much for the moving instructions. I have moved a shell to Wikipedia:New pages patrol/Coordination/Invite list 4. Now how do I add participants from a quarry directly without having to add each one individually. I tried downloading the data from this quarry, but it is downloading in the form of a table and not individual list of talk pages only. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 09:02, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
- You can download the results as a spreadsheet (search for the dropdown labelled "Download data"). Then hopefully you are familiar enough with a spreadsheet application to removed the now-unnecessary columns and then add the "User talk:" part for each username. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 09:14, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
- Understood. I thought there was a more direct way. Nevertheless, I'll do the necessary tweaks and add the participants. Cheers! ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 09:20, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
- Alternatively, you can fork any such quarry and then change it so that it only shows the data that you want. I've done that here: quarry:75393. You can try it yourself for the next quarry after comparing the two quarries. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 09:23, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
- Also, you probably would have figured this out, but you can "edit source" on an MMS list to add a whole bunch of talk pages at once. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 10:55, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
- Indeed that is pretty obvious. I just had doubts about formatting the quarry which thanks to you, no longer bugs me. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 12:40, 23 July 2023 (UTC)
- WP:PERM/NPP doesn't have a backlog at present. It should be ok to send the next batch of invites now. -MPGuy2824 (talk) 04:16, 27 July 2023 (UTC)
- On it. I had no access to my computer hence wasn't able to tweak the spreadsheet (not very comfortable doing it on a smartphone), but I have done it now. Since the MMS list has less than 60 editors, I will quickly go though them to see if any major issues persists, then will either ask @Zippybonzo to send the invitations or apply for the MMS user right. The latter will make the process smooth as I get more familiar with different quarry (-ies ?). Will try forking quarries too as you have suggested. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 15:51, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- I'm happy to send it for you, (I'm not sure the admins will grant MMS for sending out unsolicited messages), just let me know when you want it sending :). Zippybonzo | Talk (he|him) 16:10, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- Sounds good. I shall let you and @Novem Linguae know when I want the messages sent after screening. Thank you ZB for doing what you do! ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 17:04, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- Thanks for the ping. I think Zippy messaged everyone from our original campaign, which was a query of users with more than 10K edits that had more than 1K edits in the past month, minus Raydann's personal invites.
- It sounds like y'all are getting ready to do a new campaign? Just to double check, what criteria/query was used? Did we subtract out everyone that has already received a message from the first campaign and from Raydann's personal invites? –Novem Linguae (talk) 17:37, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- The next query was basically your idea =D. The SQL is here, published by @MPGuy2824, and the mailing list is situated here. I'm making sure to eliminate double invites and other possible issues, and will let you know when it's screened. ❯❯❯ Raydann(Talk) 19:45, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
- Cool, just double checking the gameplan. I think we should also hit AFC folks that have been active for like 6 months and aren't NPPs yet. Not sure if it'd be easier to do a separate blast for that or combine it with this one. Y'all can pick :) –Novem Linguae (talk) 21:14, 28 July 2023 (UTC)
