Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Goodkenz95, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Bernard Chong, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's content policies and may not be retained. In short, the topic of an article must be notable and have already been the subject of publication by reliable and independent sources.
Please review Your first article for an overview of the article creation process. The Article Wizard is available to help you create an article, where it will be reviewed and considered for publication. For information on how to request a new article that can be created by someone else, see Requested articles. If you are stuck, come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can help you through the processes.

Speedy deletion nomination of Bernard Chong
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Bernard Chong, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:
- It is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. (See section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Wikipedia has standards for the minimum necessary information to be included in short articles; you can see these at Wikipedia:Stub. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Speedy deletion nomination of Bernard "Bren" Chong
[edit]Hello, Goodkenz95,
Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username BoyTheKingCanDance and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, Bernard "Bren" Chong, for deletion, because [[User:Explicit already deleted this page today|a consensus decision]] previously decided that it wasn't suitable for inclusion in the encyclopedia. If you wish to restore a page deleted via a deletion discussion, please use the deletion review process instead, rather than reposting the content of the page.
If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.
For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|BoyTheKingCanDance}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

- I want to understand why i can't create his personal professional page for Bernard Chong. Bren Esports is just one of the company he founded and there's a lot more about Bernard Chong outside Bren Esports. akosiken (talk) 16:20, 14 May 2023 (UTC)
Deletion discussion about Bernard "Bren" Chong
[edit]Hello, Goodkenz95, and welcome to Wikipedia. I edit here too, under the username BoyTheKingCanDance, and I thank you for your contributions.
I wanted to let you know, however, that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Bernard "Bren" Chong, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bernard "Bren" Chong.
You might like to note that such discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. And, our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|BoyTheKingCanDance}}
. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~

Speedy deletion nomination of Bernard Chong
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Bernard Chong requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Bernard "Bren" Chong. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
[edit]Hello Goodkenz95. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Bernard Chong, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Goodkenz95. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Goodkenz95|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 10:26, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
As previously advised, your edits, such as the edit you made to Draft:Joseph Calata, give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Goodkenz95, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Goodkenz95|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Spiderone(Talk to Spider) 10:12, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
- I am not paid to do the writing but he just requested me to update the previous published version . akosiken (talk) 10:20, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
- You didn't really answer the question. Are you being paid, or not? You weren't asked if you're being paid specifically to edit Wikipedia, you're being asked if you are being paid for any reason by the subject of that article. What, exactly, is your association with Mr. Chong? ~Anachronist (talk) 02:15, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
Joseph Calata moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Joseph Calata. Unfortunately, it is not ready for publishing because it needs more sources to establish notability and it is promotional and reads like an advertisement. Your article is now a draft where you can improve it undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Jamiebuba (talk) 14:41, 28 May 2023 (UTC)
- How come the article moved to draft? This was published way back a couple of years already, I just need to restore the old content. Had you read all the references that the content of the article was supported with news articles? akosiken (talk) 01:39, 29 May 2023 (UTC)
- It was moved to draft because it was not suitable for publication in article space without further improvements. Had it not been moved, it would be subject to deletion. As a draft, you have more time to improve it. ~Anachronist (talk) 02:13, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
- But it was published before you can check the history of the article? akosiken (talk) 04:08, 31 May 2023 (UTC)
- This was published before ? You can check the history on the previous deleted article. akosiken (talk) 05:45, 3 June 2023 (UTC)
- It was moved to draft because it was not suitable for publication in article space without further improvements. Had it not been moved, it would be subject to deletion. As a draft, you have more time to improve it. ~Anachronist (talk) 02:13, 31 May 2023 (UTC)

[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Steve Kerr, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Specifically per MOS:REPEATLINK, links are generally not repeated. —Bagumba (talk) 13:46, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
