At the risk of revealing my not-so-secret identity, most of my efforts in Wikipedia and in Wikimedia Commons are for improving rarely-edited articles connected with music, math/science, mortgages, markets, Metro NYC, and/or untimely mortality. Some choice examples are:

An extensive rewrite of the high-traffic OPEC article successfully passed the review processes for "Good Article" (top 1% quality rating) and for "Did You Know" on Wikipedia's Main Page (2016-05-13). An expansion of the Petrodollar Recycling article also passed the reviews for "Good Article" and for "Did You Know" on the Main Page (2017-01-17), and a new article on an old hymn tune was selected for "Did You Know" on the Main Page (Easter Sunday, 2017-04-16). An expansion of the Prayer of Saint Francis article passed the review for "Good Article". Two updates about United Nations genocide convictions were nominated and selected for "Wikipedia: In The News" at the top of the Main Page (2014-08-08), and a major expansion of the biography of deceased organist John Scott also received a last-minute nomination. One update, about the Sicilian hymn "O Sanctissima" providing half the melody for "We Shall Overcome", was directly cited by The New York Times (2015-05-08) and The Atlantic (2015-05-09). I hope someday to earn a Wikipedia Music Barnstar.
