This article is in serious need of de-fanboying.--Kintetsubuffalo (talk) 09:27, 2 July 2015 (UTC)

A new copy-paste detection bot is now in general use on English Wikipedia. Come check it out at the EranBot reporting page. This bot utilizes the Turnitin software (ithenticate), unlike User:CorenSearchBot that relies on a web search API from Yahoo. It checks individual edits rather than just new articles. Please take 15 seconds to visit the EranBot reporting page and check a few of the flagged concerns. Comments welcome regarding potential improvements. These likely copyright violations can be searched by WikiProject categories. Use "control-f" to jump to your area of interest.--Lucas559 (talk) 22:32, 25 June 2015 (UTC)

@Lucas559: There's nothing for WP Japan on the page you linked (after doing a "control-f" search, as you mentioned). Is your bot malfunctioning? ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 16:16, 29 June 2015 (UTC)
日本穣 that might just mean there were no copyright (copy and paste) concerns for your area of interest in the period the bot checked (every 1.5 hours if things run smoothly). Or, an article in question is not current categorized as WP Japan. Let me know if you never find anything in your Wikiproject area because that would be odd and would imply the bot needs tweaking. Thanks for checking out the Eranbot project --Lucas559 (talk) 14:18, 1 July 2015 (UTC)

Anyone is welcome to do the comparisons and see what's up. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 00:00, 2 July 2015 (UTC)

My edit for the page Empress of Japan is actually a page-move from the old Japanese empresses page. (Page history: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Japanese_empresses&action=history)
The source being compared to (http://self.gutenberg.org/article/WHEBN0006868677/Japanese%20empresses), seems to be in-turn sourced from the World Heritage Encyclopedia, a mirror site of the old Wikipedia article. An example page from World Heritage Encyclopedia - http://www.worldheritage.org/articles/Empress_Michiko is quite obviously similar to the Wikipedia article Empress Michiko. Sounds good. Thanks for checking. ···日本穣? · 投稿 · Talk to Nihonjoe · Join WP Japan! 05:01, 9 July 2015 (UTC)

Confirm a hoax?

Can anyone confirm that the article Kawasaki city birds and beasts park is a hoax? The article had the zoo's name in Japanese and a search didn't bring up anything other than Wikipedia, Uncyclopedia, and some mirrors of the two, so I'm leaning towards this being a hoax. I admit that I don't speak/read Japanese, so I'd prefer that someone who is fluent perform a search. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 03:44, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

Tokyogirl79, I've had a look and satisfied myself that it is a hoax. Absolutely no mention of it on the city's website (the city supposedly runs it) is a giveaway. AtHomeIn神戸 (talk) 04:35, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

"King of Hell"

The usage and primary topic of "King of Hell" is under discussion, see talk:King of Hell (disambiguation) -- 67.70.32.190 (talk) 05:18, 20 July 2015 (UTC)
