Admin?
I see you got into a bit of a dust-up about Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/2016 Formula One season (3rd nomination). For what it's worth, I probably wouldn't have closed it so quickly. Sure, it was heading firmly in the snow-keep direction, but it wouldn't have hurt to let it run a couple of days. I don't think what you did was wrong, but maybe not the very best choice of action.
That being said, the big picture is I've seen you at AfD a lot and you seem to be like a pretty reasonable person, so would you mind if I nominated you to be an admin? You're already doing much of the work an admin does anyway, so why not get a mop of your own? -- RoySmith (talk) 00:11, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Roy, Looking back I could've and perhaps should've left it open longer,
- That means alot thank you but I dont have much patience (in the outside world and here) and plus from what I've seen It seems a more comfortable life not being an admin - But thank you for the offer it does mean alot so thank you,
- Anyway have a nice day,
- Regards, –Davey2010 • (talk) 01:14, 13 August 2014 (UTC)
Hi Davey2010, I'm not going to make a big fuss, take this to DRV, or anything like that, but I notice that you both opened and then closed the above AFD. Per WP:BADNAC, I don't think this was appropriate, specifically because you "expressed an opinion in the discussion". Even as an admin, I choose to leave discussions I start for someone else to close, even in cases where the outcome is obvious. Like I said, it's not a big thing, just a suggestion for you to keep in mind in the future =). Lankiveil (speak to me) 07:05, 13 August 2014 (UTC).
- Hi @Lankiveil:, Although I did express an opinion I never had an issue with redirecting but looking back I shouldn't of redirected whatsoever,
- Anyway Thanks for the message and suggestion ,

- No worries, thankyou for taking it in the spirit it was intended =). Lankiveil (speak to me) 10:09, 13 August 2014 (UTC).

Deleting changes made to article: Kemsey railway station
Hi Davey. I'm SoutheasternTrains but you can call me Chris. At 16:01 today I added content to the article of Kemsley railway station. Then, you deleted it. Why? I live in Kemsley, I use the station everyday and I am also a train entusiast. I added content about the services and you deleted it. I know the station and services through Kemsley like the back of my hand. I would just like to say that I think I have right to post extra content. Please let me know why you deleted my edit.
Thanks,
Chris
- Hiya @SoutheasternTrains:/Chris,
- I apologize for not using the edit summary, I reverted you as your username implied you worked for SE trains, I would strongly recommend you change your username as that way no one can say you work for the company,
- As for the reversion - I reverted as obviously assumed you simply worked for said company,
- I have absolutely no problems you readding your addition under a new name :),

Hello. Abellio London
Can I please get something straight here - why have you removed the bus types/allocated routes etc. from ONE depot which have been there for years without dispute or questioning and not any others? Why have you removed them when someone else was disputing against the only line that was left? I will say it looked far better before all the bickering. Now, just bare with no explanation. aycliffetalk 18:25, 27 August 2014 (UTC)
- I removed it because it was all unsourced but all the other depots have the exact same stuff .... Far as I'm aware London bus articles get the special treatment here!, Anyway I've reverted but don't be surprised if someone else reverts me!. –Davey2010 • (talk) 18:53, 27 August 2014 (UTC)
AfD closures
Hi. When closing AfDs as 'redirect' please remember to add the 'R from...' template to the redirect page so that it loads the correct message and populates the appropriate category. Example: {{R from school}}. Thanks. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 10:04, 28 August 2014 (UTC)
- Hiya Kudpung - I had no idea I was supposed too but will from now on :),
But what is the actual purpose of adding it ? I'm lost as to why it needs to be added (Not a lot confuses me haha!),just read the purpose. Cheers, –Davey2010 • (talk) 12:56, 28 August 2014 (UTC)

kline
Everything I changed on Kline is reliably sourced as I work for the damn company... soon to be Tiger Blue (brought to you by kline) but that's not until October... The 901 runs every Sunday through the year from Elland depot (kline driver tho) the 900 summer service on a Sunday has been replaced with the latter... and we have 4 new Kirklees drivers due to the cutbacks and we have been honoured with the access bus contracts. So before saying my sources arnt reliable do some research!! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.255.235.254 (talk) 14:19, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
- @Geebo the third: / @85.255.235.254: - Please stick to one account, and you shouldn't be editing the article as you're affiliated with it - You could always go the talkpage and use the Request edit template,
- Using 2 accounts and or editing an article you're affiliated with can get you blocked,
- As for the edits - You were reverted as you removed parts of the article that didn't need to be removed, and what you added was unsourced..... If a service has stopped running you should then find a cite that says just that,

Undid closure
I undid your closure because your speedy keep does not seem to be in one of the main qualifiers of WP:KEEP. Additionally, you mention 'socks' but also don't notice that the last three keep votes seem to be from SPAs as well. Poundland posting
Hi Davey, thanks for contacting regards posting of information on the Poundland Wiki. I can confirm all information is accurate and provable, with full documentation and supporting material, therefore not subject to being classed or regarded as defamatory or libellous. As such, I ask that the relevant information be included as there is true and proper public interest in the content. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.129.224.231 (talk) 00:36, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
- You're pretty much complaining about how shit they are and how shit there media pages are, Although to a point everything should be true here you should'nt use the 'pedia to say how bad they are, .... Anyway You should probably complain to Poundand, Cheers, –Davey2010 • (talk) 00:50, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
- In response I must highlight the fact the section in which I posted is dedicated to criticism of the operaton of Poundland and cites specific cases, no different to my own offering. It is in the public interest, and I feel the public have a right to be made aware of the risks they face in Poundland's handling of customers when things go wrong.
- If you feel and edited version could be better, feel free to help develop such an entry instead of a blanket ban on the information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.129.224.231 (talk) 06:25, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) There is no blanket ban on information but it does have to be taken from reliable published sources such as national newspaper articles. Social media are not regarded as reliable sources. Personal experience is not allowed here either. As you are new here you will not know that repeated reversions of an edit can get you blocked but please read our policies before continuingCharles (talk) 08:37, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
- I appreciate your comments, and will endeavour to post the relevant media sources when available. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.129.224.231 (talk) 10:22, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

Can you please figure out what happened and take the appropriate next step—or, since I see you've actually !voted, find someone else to do so? It needs to be rescued from limbo. Thank you very much. User:Buster7 submitted the following nomination for Editor of the Week:
- Davey2010 has been an editor since OCT 2010 but became more active JAN 2013 and now has over 24000 edits with almost 44% in article space. A New Page Patroller, he intervenes against vandalism and improper usernames. He has an additional 300 edits at Commons. Always congenial, he is willing to discuss differences without rancor and will admit to mistakes. This paraphrased comment from a newbee sums up Davey2010's way of being...."Although many others have tried to give me the same information, I got your message and yours was the first (I understood)". He improves many articles about various British TV Series and is vigilant in addressing promotional concerns on WP:UAA and WP:AIV. Davey also appears to be active in AfD discussions, where positive participation is valued. His interactions with other editors, even those he has reported, have been civil.

AfDs need more input
Hi.
There are a couple of AfDs the desperately need additional high-quality input, either because they are relisted twice so far or have extremely low inputs so far. I thought it was high time I publicized them. Here they are:
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/DATE (command)
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Date (Unix)
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nokia OS
- Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/VideoPad
Your input would be appreciated.
Best regards,
Codename Lisa (talk) 08:50, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
- Hiya Codename Lisa, I wouldn't say my input was high quality but I'll take a look, Thanks, –Davey2010 • (talk) 13:43, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
Circus
Hey Davey, I swapped your vandalism warning for a {{welcomelaws}} template. I think the edit was inappropriate, but not exactly vandalism. This is either a misguided newbie or (more likely) someone's sock; the former is served by the welcome template, while the latter should be blocked not for vandalism but simply for violating WP:ILLEGIT. If you want to flag an admin to look into the latter, that would probably be more useful than going the "vandal" route. Nikkimaria (talk) 20:46, 25 September 2014 (UTC)
- Hiya, He was supposed have had an "Only warning for disruptive editing" but I've only just realized that doesn't exist!, Anyway you're alot more friendlier than me so guess the welcome one's better all round :) Cheers, –Davey2010 • (talk) 20:56, 25 September 2014 (UTC)

- Ah a confused newbie. Dave your attempt to help was good but always try to be patient. Don't reply if you're angry. You can see few days ago someone called me a "newcomer" without proper research. They haven't even noticed that this is my alt account. But I haven't replied because she might think that I'm hounding. When you see someone not listening, just ask another editor to handle the situation. Anyway, are you still closing Afds? It seems you're not quite active there? You wandered into a war zone. The article is currently under semi-protection due to constant BLP violations, and I have requested full protection due to the same issues cropping up with autoconfirmed editors. Your edits got lost in the crossfire, though I admit that I reverted deeper to avoid using your date format change. ISO 8601 date format (2014-09-27) has been stable for months in this article, and that's what I prefer. This is the second time someone has unilaterally changed the date format in that article, but I'm tired of the constant edit warring there. If you really, really want it that way, I'll probably just go with it. But I will make a Jimbo Wales-style personal appeal that you revert back to ISO date format. It's specifically allowed by the MOS, and the MOS also recommends against changing date formats. If my policy-based arguments don't move you, how about a haiku?
- It may look ugly
- But it's what I always use
- Eighty-six-oh-one
Come on, I even wrote a haiku. Jimbo Wales doesn't even do that for you. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 04:20, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- After I wrote the edit summary I realized the warring so no worries :)
- I tend to change them per consistency & what not but I'm gonna be absolutely honest - I absolutely hate YMD/YDM dates anyway, IMHO they're just outdated and pointless BUT ... I can't do nothing about them being used and in all fairness both can be used, Anyway meh I'll revert :)
- Haha Jimbo doesn't do bugger all here for anyone except criticize and pretend to be useful! ...

- Someone once added a cleanup tag to an article that I created (it's kind of a long story, but that's the short version), and I talked him out of it by quoting Danger Zone, the old Kenny Loggins song from the 1980s. I'm tentatively going to say that quirky appeals work better than angry rants. Unfortunately, all I ever get are angry rants. The more persistent ones try to argue with me for a week before they give up in frustration with my lack of interest in debating them. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 08:11, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
- Well your quirky appeal had certainly worked on me :) - IMHO discussions work more effectively than simply ranting, I don't know how you stay so calm, I can't put up with someones crap for 3hours let alone a week!, Anyway thanks for your message,

List of Waterloo Road characters edit disuptes
Hi Davey, first of all I would like to say I am sorry for your loss. It must be terribly difficult when you lose a parent, so my upmost condolences.
I will totally understand if do not want to get involved in any article disputes at this difficult time, however the Waterloo Road articles are again coming under fire (that time of the year again, the juveniles tend to crawl out from under their rocks when that show comes back on), and again their is a dispute as to which series the next block of episodes belongs to - Series 9 or 10. As with every year, the BBC mini site and Radio Times have it listed as Series 10, and Shed and the Official WR website have it down as 9C (the latter of which I would take over the BBC or Radio Times as they don't have production rights). Would it be possible for you to take a look and perhaps give your imput? I know you have been a part of solving disputes on that article before. Regards 80.47.52.235 (talk) 21:34, 5 October 2014 (UTC)
- Hello 80xx,
- Thank you it means alot,
- Anyway you're absolutely correct in reverting the morons - As far as I knew S9 was continuing till the end of 2014 and S10 would start in 2015, I too would trust Shed & WR more since both make the programme & what not,
- It looks like the Media's just assumed S10 will air now, But yeah I'd say WR/Shed are correct,
- Thanks, –Davey2010 • (talk) 21:58, 5 October 2014 (UTC)

He is a banned user, and Wikipedia policy is that edits from sockpuppet of banned users are to be deleted. Radio City 96.7
Hallo, I've just attempted to add some omissions to the Past Presenters section, to have the page up to date for the 40th anniversary on Tuesday. For some reason you have removed the additions, and a great many other names, citing publicity. I notice I included [[]] in error round my name and John Henry's, but I hadn't finished editing and was trying to correct that when you intervened. I think you should restore the all names that were removed if that's possible. Best wishes B Bill Bingham (talk) 22:57, 19 October 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Bill, Past presenters should only be added providing they have an article otherwise we just have a huge long list,
- The main reason for reverting is because you were/are a presenter of the show and was/are affiliated with it so thus you have a Conflict of interest,
- With all respect we don't change articles just because they're having a Xth anniversary
- Cheers, –Davey2010 • (talk) 23:20, 19 October 2014 (UTC)

Intu
Hi, thanks for that. I'll review that as there seems to be more evidence coming up now which supports naming the articles with the Intu brand. It's also confusing when you take the Harlequin Shopping Centre as an example, as it's only really called the Harlequin in the title and opening line, but Intu Watford everywhere else in the article. Cloudbound (talk) 22:54, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
- Hiya, I completely agree the articles are confusing but I've tried numerous times to move/rename but have been met with COMMONNAME and general disagreements, Personally it makes sense to move them since that's there new name, Yet they'll probably always be known/called under the previous names, I think one huge discussion needs to happen to finally put this to bed!,
- Anyway thanks for your message :)
- Regards, –Davey2010 • (talk) 22:59, 22 October 2014 (UTC)
- Yes you're right. I'll see what I can pull together and start a discussion soon to try to clarify things. Cloudbound (talk) 18:47, 23 October 2014 (UTC)

Quick question
As you're a member of ProjectEurovision, here's one for you to ponder over. You know the EBU did a special show to celebrate 50 years, and called it Congratulations: 50 Years of the Eurovision Song Contest. Well all that happened before ProjectEurovision was thought of, so the creation of such article title was easy. The EBU have announced that there will be another special show to mark the 60th anniversary, and it will be held in London, which means a new article is imminently going to be created. Now here's the conundrum question: as the dates are unknown, as is what the show will be called - what do we do? Per WP:CRYSTAL and possible WP:NOR, we cannot assume what the shows title will be, as there is no confirmation from either the EBU or BBC. Without that show title, we're kinda stumped as to what to call the article. So do we:
- Entitle the new article as "60 Years of the Eurovision Song Contest", explaining in the prose that no official show title has been decided, and move the article once an official name is known at a later date?
- Store the information into a sandboxed draft article (which I have done for now) and then move it once we know what the show title will be?
Doing the first option could open things up for page move warring. Doing the second option, could risk the creation of a new article anyway, which would in turn put us back to the problem we'd have with the first option. Bit of a catch-22 this one, ain't it? Wes Mouse | chat 03:51, 23 October 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Wesley, I would say the bestest thing to do would be to create 60 Years of the Eurovision Song Contest and redirect it back to Eurovision and store the info in a sandbox,
- If anyone were to fuck around with the redirect you could always get it protected, Plus if you were to create the article no doubt some tool would AFD it!, Thanks, Regards, –Davey2010 • (talk) 03:59, 23 October 2014 (UTC)
- Now that's what I call a good idea. Even I hadn't thought of doing it that way around. Thanks mate, I really appreciate it. Big hugs. Wes Mouse | chat 04:06, 23 October 2014 (UTC)
- Haha well we all have different ways of doing things :), You're more than welcome - Glad I was of some help :), Big hugs :), –Davey2010 • (talk) 04:11, 23 October 2014 (UTC)

Rosemarie Burian
Hi Davey,
I hope I'm not bothering you and that you have recovered, if not, then please forgive this intrusion. If you have recovered and are working on Wikipedia articles again, then I am happy for you. I wrote an article for Rosemarie Burian, as I believe she is a remarkable person, I wanted to acknowledge that by giving her a page on Wikipedia. She has been a huge contributor to social justice by founding Bethlehem Center, now the Northern Illinois Bank. I don't mean to sound as though I'm pushing the Northern Illinois Food Bank. I am just looking for a way to speak to her contribution to humanity. I added sources. Is this still against Wikipedia standards? What do you think?
Best regards, CJ Moran 29 Oct 2014 Cjmoran (talk) 15:12, 29 October 2014 (UTC)

Clarification
Regarding your edit summary, I'll note that this message was intended to lighten the mood through jocularity (not incivility). If that was unclear, I apologize for any offense caused. —David Levy 14:06, 11 November 2014 (UTC)
- Hi @David Levy:, Before I say anything I sincerely apologize for not only the recent edit summaries but the replies too, IRL I've had a few tough weeks & whatnot which explains the sarcy rationale as well as the replies, IMHO you have nothing to apologize for but thank you :)
- Have a nice day and again apologies,

Blocked
Collapsed as the past is the past and plus it's taking up space - TLDR: misunderstood 3rr and unblocked providing I pack the edit warring in & don't edit Miss World related articles for the next couple of weeks. –Davey2010 • (talk) 00:31, 15 November 2014 (UTC)

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 72 hours for edit warring at Miss World 2014. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the following text below this notice:
{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} . However, you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. The editor who uses the pseudonym "JamesBWatson" (talk) 20:31, 13 November 2014 (UTC)
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).
Davey2010 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log)) Request reason: I admitted on the report I unintentionally hit 4rr and apologized for it, Decline reason: I think you still don't get the point. If you're carefully avoiding 4 reverts, it means you think you have a right to 3 reverts. You don't. You must not edit war. --jpgordon::==( o ) 22:47, 13 November 2014 (UTC) If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.
Davey2010 (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log)) Request reason: I originally thought I was allowed to revert 3 times and then after that it would count as edit warring but as seen from the above reply I had completely misunderstood 3rr entirely, Accept reason: Commuted to time served. --jpgordon::==( o ) 03:59, 14 November 2014 (UTC) Having reviewed the history, my suggestion would be to commute the block to "time served" provided Davey2010 agrees to stay away from the Miss World article for the balance of the 72 hours. Leaving here for other admins to comment. Newyorkbrad (talk) 00:58, 14 November 2014 (UTC)

By the way, why did you delete the Blevins AfD discussion? Right at the top of this page, you ask people to contact you if they disagree with one of your AfD closures. - Bbny-wiki-editor (talk) 04:14, 21 November 2014 (UTC)
- Yep which I indeed apologize for, With all respect both of you came here and quite honestly spoke to me like shite, Had you or him asked politely to revert the closure I would've happily agreed and reverted but instead he was ranting away with the fairies and you wasn't helping much either so instead of continuing the argument I thought it was best to remove the discussion and revert the closure anyway :),

Rollback
Hi Davey2010. After reviewing your request for rollback, I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:
- Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
- Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
- Rollback should never be used to edit war.
- If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
- Use common sense.
If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Beeblebrox (talk) 19:03, 23 November 2014 (UTC)

Hello. Your account has been granted the "pending changes reviewer" userright, allowing you to review other users' edits on pages protected by pending changes. Being granted reviewer rights neither grants you status nor changes how you can edit articles. If you do not want this user right, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time.

- Hiya MusikAnimal - Until today I've always thought "having rollback's pointless seeing as I have Twinkle" but I realized Rollback's helpful in different ways (I know I'm strange haha), Anyway thanks for granting them - Very much appreciated :)

Your revert was incorrect
Please do the math: If you are born in 1979, what year do you graduate high school? Oh that's right: 1997!!!! I am the same age as Aaron Paul -- the actor from Breaking Bad - same birthdate and all. EVERYONE our age graduates high school in 1997.
On the Wiki page, it states he graduated high school in 1998 -- which links to a newspaper article. So I'm certain it's probably correct. However, the PART I TAKE ISSUE WITH is the part that states, "graduated a year early, in 1998."
1998 is NOT a year early. It is a year LATE, if anything.
He would be turning 19 the summer of 1998 -- how is that a year EARLY??!!
What bugs me most is I EXPLAINED this to you in my edit. And you didn't read it.
A source is NOT NEEDED for this -- do the basic math -- graduating high school in 1998, as an almost-NINETEEN year old, is not "one year EARLY" now is it?! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Melissadab (talk • contribs) 22:48, 23 November 2014
- @Melissadab: - Firstly Drop the pathetic attitude and read this,
- Secondly I actually misread what you done - The info you removed is what I thought you added hence why I put you needed a source,
- Thirdly - We all make mistakes ... After all I am human! ...

Per your comments here, I feel that you lack the objectivity to appropriately close the "Cold Case Love"/"Stupid in Love" discussions as a non-admin. Particularly since both discussions (especially "Stupid in Love") did not see very much commentary aside from two editors who worked on the articles. Ebola Virus Disease
I do appreciate that you have noted that my edits were made in good faith (you were the first to do this, and I appreciate that!), but my passage was made less to allude to real encyclopedic articles and more to the benefit of anyone taking a quick glance at the article. In my experience, Wikipedia is used as a summary, and I was hoping to clear certain myths (I am an advocate for Africa, and I felt this issue to be close to my heart). I appreciate your diligence and I wish you happy holidays!Kieran P. Clark (talk) 01:25, 2 December 2014 (UTC)
- Hiya Kieran P. Clark - Some editos assume good faith - some dont, Sorry it all went tits up - I was supposed to have written more than "Nope" but smacked wrong key, Anyway personally the passage you're adding is IMHO unencyclopedic and jut doesn't belong there, Edit warring to get your own way will get you unblocked, Everyone's expected to use the talkpage once reverted ....

Username policy
Hello
Just to let you know that this is not a blatant violation of our username policy. A Google search shows that Shit is a surname, if the information I found is correct it comes from India. It could be that they are just using their name - I Shit - which is allowed under Wikipedia's policies. As for the 007 bit, that could be their house number or maybe they're even a fan of James Bond :D--5 albert square (talk) 14:02, 14 December 2014 (UTC)

Please don't revert my edits
Hello, Davey 2010 I am Gowtham avg you have been reverting my edits on the article Chutti TV. Col-3 is not better because it made the list look clumsy and congested whereas single list gives a neat appearance. The red links on Chutti TV have the very possibility of creation. I am the genuine contributor of 90% of content of Chutti TV article. It have been taken years for me to edit all the content that is present on the article. So, I am requesting you please not to revert my edits on Chutti TV. MERRY CHRISTMAS and HAPPY NEW YEAR.
- It doesn't take a genius to work that out!, If anything my version looks A LOT better - You've done fuck all but revert constantly ... Hence you being blocked for a week .... and now I get the article protected you come here all sorry and even decide to talk! ... Request as much as you like - aint happening, BTW edit warring with numerous IPs will only see you blocked indef so if I were you I'd pack it in. –Davey2010 Merry Xmas / Happy New Year 13:50, 25 December 2014 (UTC)
- Gotham, those contributions aren't something to be proud of (even in its improved state it's a piss-poor article). I have semi-protected the article to prevent you from redoing those disruptive and unhelpful edits, and if you don't leave it alone I'll protect it for a lot longer. They way you're going about it is simply the wrong way. Thank you. Drmies (talk) 16:11, 25 December 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks Drmies for your intervention - Very much appreciated, Merry Xmas & Hope you enjoy the rest of your day, Cheers, –Davey2010 Merry Xmas / Happy New Year 18:39, 25 December 2014 (UTC)

Notforlackofeffort
I noticed your report of Notforlackofeffort‡ at WP:AIV and the subsequent conversation while patrolling it yesterday. I do agree with the assessment here that is more of an issue for WP:ANI, of course. I am hesitant to be the one to open a thread, perhaps since I consider myself involved due to !voting in the relevant AfDs, but primarily because I feel that is your prerogative, if you choose to do so, as you seem to be the target of much of the WP:BATTLE and WP:AGF issues caused by this editor. I'm not going to sway you one way or another, but I did simply wish to let you know that your concern is noted and that, perhaps, having other sets of eyes look at his behavior might change his attitude for the better. --Kinu t/c 19:18, 28 December 2014 (UTC) ‡I intentionally left his username unlinked here, since I figure you don't need yet another response of the type he gives cluttering your talk page.
- On second thought, it's likely that he is wikistalking your edits and/or mine, given that he managed to find this thread even when he should not have been pinged. I've opened an ANI thread. Hope that's all right with you; feel free to chime in. --Kinu t/c 20:59, 28 December 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Kinu Apologies for the long delay (Been to the grandparents!), I tend to use AIV as a shortcut for everything and kinda hoped they'd help but technically it's not vandalism ... ,
Anyway thanks for opening it up :), Hope you have a great New Year ;),
Thanks, –Davey2010 Merry Xmas / Happy New Year 21:15, 28 December 2014 (UTC)
Well if he comes to my talkpage linked or not I'll simply revert and tell him to FO (probably a bad idea!
- Indeed, my friend. Here's to a happy 2015! --Kinu t/c 04:21, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
- Hi, Davey, just a piece of friendly advice. I'd not comment on people opposing a block of Notforlackofeffort at ANI. I'm sympathetic to why you do so, but I don't think it helps you. Either let it go uncommented, or let someone else comment. Most of the editors aren't idiots, and they hopefully will recognize the abuse you've had to put up with from this user, so commenting on it won't accomplilsh anything except perhaps make you feel better. Of course, what you do is entirely up to you. I just thought you might at least consider my "words of wisdom" (). In the meantime, I'm really sorry about your "shit year", and I hope 2015 brings a much better one for you. Regards.--Bbb23 (talk) 01:16, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Bbb, If I'm being honest - I'm just afraid one person's going to Oppose and the rest are going to follow suit so I feel I should defend myself if you like But nope I'll follow your advice and stop (Personally I believe you speak sense and when you say "shut up" you say it for a very good reason),
- Thanks - It means alot :), And I wish you and your family a very Happy and Healthy New Year,
- Thanks for your message - It does mean alot so thank you :)

NPA
Please don't say people are a "pathetic waste of space", that's a personal attack too. I say this for your own good, I would absolutely hate it if this were to be used against you. Instead you can do things like cite NPA, or wait for others to point out inappropriate behavior. BTW, I think it's awesome that you live in Strood. Someday maybe I'll get to visit London, it looks so nice. :) --AmaryllisGardener talk 04:14, 29 December 2014 (UTC)

- Haha difference is you can actually control your mouth .... I can't , Haha good luck in getting there! - Took 2 or 3 tubes from St Pancreas station & then there's the cost of it all ,
- BTW thanks for your message and for making me see sense! :),

Finding a standard for fleet sections
Hi Davey2010,
I have received a few queries regarding the fleet section on bus company pages, and I personally did notice a few of them were significantly condensed to one-liners.
I do understand (and personally do get annoyed) that fleet sections tend to get cluttered with several unsourced and unnecessary information. I support the removal of unsourced information. However, to reduce them to one-liner appears to be going the other extreme, especially if the details of bus procurement or disposal is recorded in several reliable sources including newspaper articles, books, etc.
I am thinking if a balance can be reached, a standard that can be universally applied across the project covering bus-related articles that is based on reliable sources. If let's say there is no reliable sources on the fleet, perhaps we do keep it brief as it is. For those with reliable sources covering the models though, perhaps the fleet section of airline articles is a possible standard that can be adopted (e.g. Qantas and British Airways). There is a brief table, well sourced, and lack of clutter. Thoughts? - Mailer Diablo 14:52, 29 December 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Mailer Diablo - I'm in 2 minds with the fleet On side I think the fleet (and routes) should all be kept as they may be beneficial to the reaser (we're an encyclopeia after all) but the other side thinks "well it's unsourced & since we can't cite every bus here it should be a one-liner, To be honest If it were a vote I'd go with the first!
- At one point we used to have tables and kept a small number, Anyway nope I wouldn't a mind a table at all :),
- You might wanna speak to Charles as he seems to hate them with a passion

Katja Glieson page fixing
Hey @Davey2010:! Just saw your contribution/discussion re: the page Katja Glieson i contributed to. I'd be more than happy to help fix the page with some guidance - most notably to fix the citations and ensure there is no 'promotion crap' as you say. It was definitely not my intention and I'm aware of the neutral requirements and did try to be. More than happy to even just delete anything non-factual or promo in nature. Thanks! Benjackson77 (talk) 22:44, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Ben, IMHO it looks somewhat promo but Meh the article overall looks fine :)
- Keep up the great work & BTW Happy New Year :) –Davey2010 Merry Xmas / Happy New Year 22:55, 30 December 2014 (UTC)
- Ok no worries! Feel free to make any edits or suggestions, I really do NOT want it to appear promo at ALL, that's not the point of Wikipedia. I created it just cos I felt her fans would benefit from the info, and used articles that I found as sources. But yeah, I want it to be a legit article, not promo :) Thank you for the reply and Happy New Year to you too! Benjackson77 (talk) 05:41, 31 December 2014 (UTC)
