Mirrors
[edit] Thanks for contributing to the article [[]]. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable and attributed to reliable sources. You have recently used citations which copied, or mirrored, material from Wikipedia. This leads to a circular reference and is not acceptable. Speedy deletion nomination of Yousuf Deedat
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Yousuf Deedat requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Gbawden (talk) 06:35, 17 January 2020 (UTC)
Refnames
[edit]When you're creating refs for the (completely valid) articles you're writing about members of the Parliament of Ghana, please don't use the default ":0, :1, :2" names. Those are useless, and too easy to confuse with each other. Try using a word from the reference's name. DS (talk) 00:53, 29 January 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Invitation to participate in the upcoming WPWP Campaign
[edit]Hello Wikipedians,
This is to invite you to join the WPWP Campaign to help improve Wikipedia articles with photos and win prizes. The campaign will run from 1st July 2020 to 31st August 2020.
The campaign primarily aims at using images from Wikimedia Commons on Wikipedia articles that are lacking images. Participants will choose among Wikipedia pages without photo images, then add a suitable file from among the many thousands of photos in the Wikimedia Commons, especially those uploaded from thematic contests (Wiki Loves Africa, Wiki Loves Earth, Wiki Loves Folklore, etc.) over the years.
Please visit the campaign page to learn more about the WPWP Campaign.
With kind regards,
Thank you,

Please do not mark your edits as "minor" if they do not meet the criteria
[edit]Hi DaSupremo! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Abigail Ashley that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. Melcous (talk) 05:43, 25 July 2020 (UTC)
- You've ignored User:Melcous' advice, and are continuing to mark every single edit you make as minor. Please stop.
- In this edit to COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana, for example, you marked the edit as minor, with an edit summary of "improved content", but you reduced the count of active COVID-19 cases where the cited reference actually said it was higher. That's not an improvement, and it's certainly not minor. Capewearer (talk) 05:56, 31 July 2020 (UTC)
Sorry...it was a mistake. Thanks for the prompt. DaSupremo (talk) 07:20, 31 July 2020 (UTC)
Nana Oti Akenten moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Nana Oti Akenten, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. [edit]Hallo, Thank you for your work on creating stubs for Ghanain festivals. - I see you're adding the {{stub}} template: please remember to put this at the very end, after the categories (see WP:ORDER). Government responses during the pandemic
[edit]I will like for an addition of Government responses (financial, economic etc.) as a sub topic of COVID-19 Pandemic in Ghana. There isn't any as they are all found in the Timeline of COVID-19 Pandemic in Ghana . I want to try doing so but I'll have to attribute you. If you will permit, can I copy your texts and attribute you? Also if possible I want to create the page Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic by the Ghanaian Government and I might possibly copy your texts. Will you permit me so I can attribute you? Kwesi Yema (talk) 19:58, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
Thanks Kwesi Yema for contacting me. We created a separate article called the Timeline since the pandemic is here with us, it is a continuing thing which means the main article will be full of information that might not be 'relevant' and certain vital information will not be noted. Moreover, the article might be cumbersome for readers who might be able to get the information they need. I hope it answers your concern? But you can still create the Response to the COVID-19 Pandemic by the Ghanaian Government. I think it is also important. Thanks DaSupremo (talk) 22:28, 17 October 2020 (UTC)
Take this for example,COVID-19 pandemic in Argentina, you notice that they have a sub(==) part for responses and additional sub(===) for medical responses, government responses etc. It is the same with the US, South Africa, China and even Rwanda. But it seems Ghana lacks that information. If readers want information on the responses by the nation, they'll have to search the timeline part before they can find any. Kwesi Yema (talk) 12:56, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
Yes, I have seen it and it is a nice observation. You can help with that as I earlier indicated. DaSupremo (talk) 22:24, 19 October 2020 (UTC)
Please help with a Ghana related article
[edit]Hi, I'm sorry if this will be bothering but could you help me save the images in;
They are images of disinfection exercises which I would like to upload in the COVID-19 pandemic in Ghana and the Ghanaian government response to the COVID-19 pandemic. I have a lot more images but I'm having trouble uploading. Many Ghanaian articles on covid barely have any image. Kwesi Yema (talk) 03:22, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
This is also the other website with drone fumigations and other WHO approved methods. https://www.myjoyonline.com/news/national/zoomlion-local-government-ministry-disinfect-2585-markets-in-13-regions-photos/
Kwesi Yema (talk) 03:29, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
I have checked the pictures and I have uploaded some. The pictures you have, try uploading them on Commons. I think that might help. Some of the photos are copy-writhed and can not be used on Wikipedia. DaSupremo (talk) 11:54, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
Thank you very much. I had problems with it because i wasn't using the laptop, however, in regards to the ones you saved, the website is claiming it will delete it after 7 days because there isn't any legal consensus or so. I don't really understand. Kwesi Yema (talk) 18:59, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
Then it has to do with a copyright infringement. Let us hope it wont be deleted. DaSupremo (talk) 12:15, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
Thank you very much by the way. In any case, I'll re upload the image again in the worst case scenario. Kwesi Yema (talk) 12:40, 25 October 2020 (UTC)
Guess you have seen the images have been accepted? DaSupremo (talk) 22:40, 26 October 2020 (UTC)
@DaSupremo, the images weren't accepted but they aren't deleted yet. I had to upload new ones which were of less quality. There isn't any problem with yours at all, all you have to do is put attrition copyright 4* at the attribution tag. I even did it for you but I might get in trouble since I don't have your permission. You can simply just edit the attribution and put the copyright*4 ( free for use) at the attribution tag. Please delete my edit on the attribution and replace it with yours. The images you saved are of higher quality and will be much preferred. Kwesi Yema (talk) 01:35, 28 October 2020 (UTC)

DaSupremo it won't get deleted if you copy and paste this:

at the part written: "insert copy license here" I copied and pasted it on the drones image titled "drones for disinfection" and it isn't getting deleted. Since I'm not the uploader though I'm uncertain. However, if you copy and paste the license I just shared in all your pictures (including the one I edited), I'm very sure it won't be deleted since you are the uploader.

Is it necessary to remove yours or it is okay?DaSupremo (talk) 01:15, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
Let's wait first for the 7th day deadline. An administrator will have to remove the deletion tag on the 7th day(I think 2 more days left) and if the image is successfully accepted then you can remove my lesser quality images. Kwesi Yema (talk) 01:15, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
Okay..thanks for the help. Sometimes it is frustrating after you upload a pic then it is tagged for deletion. I appreciate you man. DaSupremo (talk) 01:20, 29 October 2020 (UTC)
DaSupremo things are getting complicated. I decided to give a check to the images we worked on last time and I saw that one of the administrators are asking for an email to prove that the image is free or else it might be deleted tomorrow by God's grace. So annoying. Is not really any big deal but is just tiring. Kwesi Yema (talk) 02:08, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
Kwesi Yema (talk) Wiki Commons is sometimes frustrating. Let them delete it. DaSupremo (talk) 09:57, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
Yes. You can simply upload it again later with the addition of copyright type 4 as well. Kwesi Yema (talk) 15:26, 7 November 2020 (UTC)
It is ok. I won't bother myself again. I have raised a concern on the Government responses article you created. Thanks DaSupremo (talk) 22:18, 8 November 2020 (UTC)

Copyright violations in logo uploads
[edit]Hello DaSupremo, You're doing a great job from the amount of work I have seen you contributing to. Kudos, but I want to raise some issues relating to some uploads you have made on Wikimedia commons relating to articles on Wikipedia. You violated the copyright laws with respect to logo so I have nominated them for deletion. The right means of uploading them must be used. You could upload them through Wikipedia under the fair use upload method with a low resolution size or then if they qualify as government agencies then they could be loaded under the public domain method with trademark sign. I would recommend you try and use these two methods. The easier way to do it is to try the fair use approach. Thanks Ampimd (talk) 10:05, 2 February 2021 (UTC)

Sakib Bamba moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Sakib Bamba, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:

Tuba (disambiguation)
[edit]Please note that disambiguation pages like [[:*Tuba (river), a tributary of the Yenisey in Siberia, Russia ]] are meant to help readers find a specific existing article quickly and easily. For that reason, they have guidelines that are different from articles. From the Wikipedia:Disambiguation dos and don'ts you should:
- Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
- Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
- Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry that mentions the title being disambiguated
- Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
- Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
- Do not insert external links or references - Wikipedia is not a business directory

Speedy deletion nomination of Kwame Nkrumah Festival
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Kwame Nkrumah Festival, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
Bbb23 (talk) 17:11, 14 September 2021 (UTC)

16 December Editing Team Community Meeting
[edit]hi @DaSupremo! Following the Community Meeting the Editing Team hosted on 16 December, you asked two questions:
- Would the the new project we're working on will be available in all languages?
- Will the new project be available at the Wikimedia Incubator?
With regard to "1.": yes, we are designing – what we're currently calling – "Edit Check" to be available for all language versions of Wikipedia.
With regard "2.": no. At this time we are designing Edit Check specifically for Wikipedia projects.
Please let me know if the above brings new thoughts/questions/ideas to mind.
And by the way, thank you for attending the Community Meeting! I'm looking forward to collaborating more on this feature in 2023 :)

Copyright and Wikipedia
[edit]Hello DaSupremo! Your additions to Philip Kojo Metz have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, it's important to understand and adhere to guidelines about using information from sources to prevent copyright and plagiarism issues. Here are the key points:
- Limited quotation: You may only copy or translate a small portion of a source. Any direct quotations must be enclosed in double quotation marks (") and properly cited using an inline citation. More information is available on the non-free content page. To learn how to cite a source, see Help:Referencing for beginners.
- Paraphrasing: Beyond limited quotations, you are required to put all information in your own words. Following the source's wording too closely can lead to copyright issues and is not permitted; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when paraphrasing, you must still cite your sources as appropriate.
- Image use guidelines: In most scenarios, only freely licensed or public domain images may be used and these should be uploaded to our sister project, Wikimedia Commons. In some scenarios, non-freely copyrighted content can be used if they meet all ten of our non-free content criteria; Wikipedia:Plain and simple non-free content guide may help with determining a file's eligibility.
- Copyrighted material donation: If you hold the copyright to the content you want to copy, or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license the text for publication here. Please see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Copying and translation within Wikipedia: Wikipedia articles can be copied or translated, however they must have proper attribution in accordance with Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. For translation, see Help:Translation § License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices. Persistent failure to comply may result in being blocked from editing. The article John Bentum-Williams has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. UnTixic (talk) 13:48, 10 January 2024 (UTC)

Deletion discussion about Ngleshie Amanfro Senior High School
[edit]Hello DaSupremo, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.
While your contributions are appreciated, I wanted to let you know that I've started a discussion about whether an article that you created, Ngleshie Amanfro Senior High School, should be deleted, as I am not sure that it is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia in its current form. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Ngleshie Amanfro Senior High School.
Deletion discussions usually run for seven days and are not votes. Our guide about effectively contributing to such discussions is worth a read. The most common issue in these discussions is notability, but it's not the only aspect that may be discussed; read the nomination and any other comments carefully before you contribute to the discussion. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.
If you have any questions, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Cabrils}}
. And don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~
. Thanks!

Speedy deletion nomination of Mona Lisa Brookshire
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Mona Lisa Brookshire requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mona Lisa Brookshire. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. ~ Eejit43 (talk) 03:29, 20 March 2024 (UTC)

A tag has been placed on Category:Buildings and structures in Savannah Region (Ghana) indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 03:06, 27 May 2024 (UTC)

Bankoman Senior High School moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to Bankoman Senior High School. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Ibjaja055 (talk) 08:36, 28 July 2024 (UTC)
Please don't add redundant categories
[edit]I've reverted/cleaned up several of your category additions. Please look to see if the page is already in a more specific category or needs other categories removed after you add a more specific category. For example, Algiers 1 University was already in a more specific category of Category:Universities and colleges established in 1909, when you added Category:Educational institutions established in 1909 [1]. If you add a more specific category, Alana_Nichols being added to 21st-century American sportswomen, please remove them from 21st-century American women [2].
