Rather (surname in Kashmir) moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Rather (surname in Kashmir). Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 05:10, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, TheBirdsShedTears,
I've noticed several times that occasionally your signature just includes your username without a time and date of the comment. Please remember to use FOUR tildes when signing your comments, not three or five. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 05:12, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Liz: Thanks for the heads-up! I didn't realize I was messing up the signature by not using the right number of tildes. I'll make sure to use four from now on. Appreciate you pointing it out! TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 09:54, 17 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have sent you a note about a page you started

[edit]

Hi TheBirdsShedTears. Thank you for your work on Roshni Act controversy. Another editor, Dcotos, has reviewed it as part of new pages patrol and left the following comment:

Nice work! I would suggest it should be renamed, as the majority of sources referred to it as the Roshni land scam.

To reply, leave a comment here and begin it with {{Re|Dcotos}}. (Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.)

Dcotos (talk) 08:15, 18 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Dcotos: Thank you! Since the case is still pending in court, I chose 'controversy' instead of 'scam' to adhere to WP:NPOV. Although not concretely, it appears there is a possibility of the case incident it overlapped by political rivalry in some cases. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 08:26, 18 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@TheBirdsShedTears That makes sense. Thank you. The article is large; it could be a bit shorter and please consider adding more reliable sources. Cheers! Dcotos (talk) 08:54, 18 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edits on page of EMAM

[edit]

@TheBirdsShedTears I don't know If you studied Islam or not but for your kind information I remind you that, we 'muslims' have a special law called 'shariah' in which there's a specific topic on images and paintings. It is agreed by all the prominent scholars of the old and the new era that Images with Faces (Eyes, Nose, Mouth etc.) are 'Haram' which means prohibited, No means No.

and If you're thinking to quote some Wikipedia references of Other personalities with faces then you'll be giving a proof of being an illiterate.

So let me do my work under the Shariah rules and Wikipedia rules too and good luck for your future edits. Itsmeaasifqureshi (talk) 11:23, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Itsmeaasifqureshi:, if you're promoting images you've designed yourself, it might be better to create a blog to showcase your work. Wikipedia has its own guidelines that don't support personal promotion or emotional attachment to content. Please stop engaging in edit warring, as it goes against Wikipedia's collaborative principles. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 12:48, 19 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to participate in a research

[edit]

Hello,

You do not have to be an Administrator to participate.

WP:G5 tagging

[edit]

Hi there, when you put a G5 tag on an article, the username to add is the sockmaster, not the sockpuppet. It's not a huge deal, but it saves admins the step of looking up the SPI. -- asilvering (talk) 02:15, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your email

[edit]

I'm not sure what you're wanting me to do with the information your sent me via email. You haven't provided any evidence or diffs of disruption and Checkusers can't link IPs to accounts, so there's little I can do there. I suggest you report your concerns via WP:SPI.-- Ponyobons mots 17:25, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you! I will provide diffs at WP:SPI or by email. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 17:52, 31 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Zakir Ali Khan moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Zakir Ali Khan. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. — Saqib (talk I contribs) 08:41, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I see that you reverted my draftification and wrote I was "disruptive editing" and "misuse of NPP rights". I think that’s a bit excessive since I’m not the only one who believes this fails WP:N. If you truly think it meets WP:N, you could have let it pass through AFC, but it seems you want to avoid that route. No problem, I’ll take it to AFD, though not necessarily right now, as I’m occupied elsewhere. But please AGF and refrain from calling our edits disruptive.Saqib (talk I contribs) 14:11, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Saqib:, Since we seem to have different views on the notability of this article, it might be better to take it to AfD so the community can decide its fate. I could be wrong about its notability, so I've also left a message on the article's talk page to seek the input of the editor who tagged it. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 14:26, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Like I said, I wasn’t entirely sure about its WP:N either, but when I saw the WP:N tag, I thought we should get it passed through AFC. Because AFC is a better way to preserve an article than taking it to AFD and risking deletion. However, your reversion of my draftification and labeling my edits as disruptive was quite disappointing. But no worries; I’m glad you started the discussion on the article's tp. I might join in later as well. Happy editing!Saqib (talk I contribs) 14:37, 2 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for the feedback

[edit]

Dear TheBirdsShedTears , Thank you for the editorial feedback on Draft:Anand Reddi. I have made the changes you have requested add more notable referenes, deleted primary referenes and inline website references and also shorted the prose and made it less promotional.

I have also added new editorial feedback from the Treehouse chat:

[7:56:13 AM] <A09> sources however aren't the only problem. I still think it'd be better to shorten the prose to just facts and statements indirectly related to Reddi. backgrounds on certain topics can be linked through other, less specific articles.

[7:57:13 AM] <A09> remove external links from the last prose paragraph and place them in external links section. links in article body should only link to wikipedia pages, everything else goes in a footer

[8:02:38 AM] <A09> I have spotchecked the prose and there is still lots of space to improve, especially as certain phrases sounded very promotional. I suggest you first try to improve these things I have listed above and then resubmit your draft.

[8:02:40 AM] <WhiteAlpaca38> will add this additional feedback Trex32 (talk) 16:43, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
