Shoulder pads move
Hi, I think your close of this RM is incomplete. You made the base name Shoulder pads into a redirect to Shoulder pads (sport) (and another user then changed it to point to Shoulder pads (fashion)). Either the fashion article should be moved to the base name, or a disambiguation page should be placed there. The hatnotes for both articles also need to be updated. - Colin M, this is all my fault. When i closed the RM i copied the discussion destination, but it accidentally went blank and i moved the page without any edit summary for example, "moved par RM". The another user might not be aware of RM, but they should atleast visit talk page before moving. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 23:18, 28 February 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not sure we understand each other. The issue is not the lack of edit summary, but the moves themselves. I don't think the net result of the moves you performed reflect the desires of any of the participants in the RM. i.e. no-one suggested that the basename should redirect to a parenthetically disambiguated title. Colin M (talk) 00:14, 1 March 2022 (UTC)
- It seems 6 participants suggest Disambiguate with oppose 1st, support 2nd and Support 4. It seems i closed it as per RM consensus. What did you want me to do with this? TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 02:18, 1 March 2022 (UTC)
- Those who !voted "Disambiguate" were indicating that they didn't think there was a primary topic. If that was the consensus, it is not satisfied by making Shoulder pads a WP:PRIMARYREDIRECT. I think it might be best if you just reopened the discussion so that someone else can close it. Colin M (talk) 03:00, 1 March 2022 (UTC)

User:Khestwol edits
Please check this user doing undiscussed controversial edits at ancient Taxila (UNESCO World Heritage Site) and Taxila, Pakistan He is removing historical content and merging both article turning them into article of a city.
Please check his edit history he was involved in nationalist propaganda edits on Pakistani articles.

- It seems a redirect not a content removal. Taxila and Taxila, Pakistan are one article. Why not you create a Wikipedia account? TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 21:48, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
technical request moves of tocopherol pages
I see you performed moves of Delta-Tocopherol and Gamma-Tocopherol as requested at WP:RM/TR by Iztwoz. Did you check the page history and/or the history of the redirects you were swapping the articles with and see that they was moved last September, among the most recent edits? This past uncertainty about the best title would make the requested move clearly not a technical request and should have been contested rather than moved. The title you moved it to does not conform to WP:CHEMPREFIX. This has been resolved with the requester and I am happy to move the pages back.
In my opinion, the majority of requests brought to WP:RM/TR are actually not uncontroversial, and my hope is that page movers working there do just a little bit of basic investigation in the page history/redirects to see if there has been any evidence of past moves or other uncertainty over the name that would mean 'someone could reasonably disagree with the move' (such as the user making the previous move) and therefore require it to go through a normal RM. Given the typically short (hours to a day) incubation time at TR, and the fact that it most users don't watchlist that page (as it would be overwhelming to try to keep up), it is nearly impossible to object to a technical request before it happens, causing messy and somewhat laborious page swaps when it needs to be reverted. (That said, I should do some work there myself if I care so strongly...). Cheers, Mdewman6 (talk) 21:23, 9 March 2022 (UTC)
- Mdewman6, Thank you for your advise and i agree with you. I will be more careful while dealing with such requests. If i make any mistake regarding page moves in future, please let me know. I am very new to WP:RM/TR project and will be glade to hear from you in the future. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 04:26, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks, I appreciate your reply and your efforts! Rest assured, it is not just you has made requested page swaps without much investigation, but IMHO just a little bit of checking can save a lot of hassle and moves back and forth. It's not clear that there is consensus that this should be part of a page mover's role, but I certainly think it should be. I'll be thinking of ways we can improve technical requests, and if I start any discussions I'll try to ping you. Cheers, Mdewman6 (talk) 04:33, 10 March 2022 (UTC)
Dab moves
Hi and thank you for closing the Shakers RM! I thought I'd drop a few suggestions:
- When making a move, it's usually a good idea to provide a link to the RM in the edit summary. Otherwise, it takes some effort for people further down the line to first figure out which page the move was on and then to find that move in that page's archives (hunting like that for a past RM can be annoying!). Also, not all editors can be assumed to understand what "RM" stands for.
- For multiple moves, it's always a good idea to check every redirect points where it's supposed to. This isn't something that the automated tools can do in all circumstances.
- When a move involves a change in primary topic, it's necessary to make sure all the articles remain accessible after the move. For example, the disambiguation page in this version has no link to the former primary topic, and one needs to be added (typically, with a change of formatting: MOS:DABPRIMARY and MOS:DABENTRY are relevant here, but don't worry about those too much, what matters is for the the link to be there).
Thank you again, and have fun with those moves! – Uanfala (talk) 14:05, 27 March 2022 (UTC)
- I accidentally forgot to provide edit summary. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 03:38, 28 March 2022 (UTC)
Script error
Hi TBST! You moved Talk:List of people killed for being transgender/Archive 1 to Draft talk:Move/Talk:TDoR deaths/Archive 1, Talk:List of people killed for being transgender/Archive 2 to Draft talk:Move/Talk:TDoR deaths/Archive 2, and Talk:List of people killed for being transgender/Archive 3 to Draft talk:Move/Talk:TDoR deaths/Archive 3. I think these need to be moved back. DanCherek (talk) 01:47, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- DanCherek, is there any error with the script? TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 01:50, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- I'm not super familiar with the script so I have no idea, just wanted to point out those few moves that didn't seem like what you were trying to do. DanCherek (talk) 01:52, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
- DanCherek, I think i fixed the issue. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 09:11, 30 March 2022 (UTC)
