Hi! I have noticed that you have edited quite a few album articles. When doing so, I'd like to suggest that you add the {{album}} tag to their talk pages (unless its already there) and thus add the articles (talk pages to be precise) to Category:WikiProject Albums articles where project members and others can find / process them. Where do you get the Alberts as producers from ? My copy has Clifford Davis RGCorris (talk)

this is definitively an error (I was sloppy and took Midnight Wire Infobox as a starting point ...). According to http://www.discogs.com/Curved-Air-Lovechild/release/1023179 it should be Clifford Adams. Since you say its Clifford Davis I don´t really know who is the producer. Italics/Quotation marks

Hi, just a quick note to say that the style for songs on Wikipedia is to put the titles in quotation marks ("), not to italicize them; such as your edit to "Shadow on the Wall". 1) Dave Edmunds appears on Christmas At The Patti, as a guest for a one off gig, he was never a "member" of the band.
2) Vic Oakley left when they were still the Bystanders.
3) Rick Martinez took over on drums for several months when John Weathers was ill.
4) There was a stray bracket by Gareth Thorrington (I never know if he should be Gareth Llewellyn Thorrington?)

Album cover rationales

I am confused by your addition of duplicate rationales to images such as File:Elvis züri west.jpg. That image now has a rationale using {{album cover fur}} plus the duplicate manual rationale you added. The advantage to {{album cover fur}} is that it adds links that bots look for when they look to see if an image has a valid rationale.

Now I am confused and maybe have misunderstood something. Since I am doing quite some image maintenance (mainly album covers), I try to strictly follow the guidelines. WP:RAT states that for non-free images a basic copyright tag as required, like "non-free album cover" for albums and singles. This template then requests a second detailed fair use rational for each use of the image in an article. Initially I used the template "Non-free use rationale" only, when I uploaded my first image. After max. 1 day I had a message from a bot (probably BetCommandBot) telling that there is a violation of the fair use rational and the image will be deleted if not a second fair use rational is added. So I started doing what I am doing at the moment. Since then I never had such a message again and assumed this is the right way to do it. You do need a rationale per article. Thus, if an image is used in three articles, you would need three copies of the rationale. You can use {{non-free use rationale}} for any image, but there are several rationales that are tweaked for specific image types; {{album cover fur}} is designed specifically for album covers. See Category:Non-free use rationale templates for more. Adding extra rationales does no harm, but it is redundant and a bit messy. Again, if you use FireFox, then FurMe makes life so much easier. Hi there. Thanks for all the work you do improving album articles. I noticed you are using Cite4Wiki and I thought it would be a good idea to mention some points when it comes to sourcing, using this as an example. First, note that the "year=2011 [last update]" is incorrect and misleading. The review may have been written in 76 for all we know. Most websites give today as the last update, no matter what it really is. It is best to completely remove this field if you don't have a proper date for the review. Second, when using webarchive, the source is not webarchive itself, it is the original source. Use archiveurl and archivedate to specify the correct source, you can see the example Front Parlour Ballads. I hope this helps. Red Link Recovery

Hi. My source was Allmusic and the version I own myself, which is the Butt release NOTT 002 from 1976. So at the time when I made this edit the information (label, release date) looked consistent. Just saw you edit at that page, which looks quite fair. My copy is one of the "no label" issues with the "catalogue number" scratched into the deadwax. But I don't know if record info boxes are meant to list the first label of issue, or all labels, or the most popular. I'm intrigued as to why an English group of musicians got a deal with a major label but only for Italy, and then had to re-issue it themselves in UK. Changes to SuggestBot's suggestions

We have changed the number of suggested articles and which categories they are selected from. The number of stubs has been greatly reduced, the number of articles needing sources doubled, and two new categories added (orphans and unencyclopaedic articles). We have also modified the layout of the suggestions and added sortable columns with various types of information about each article. The first two columns are:

Views/Day: Daily average number of views an article's had over the past 14 days.
Quality: Predicted article quality on a 1- to 3-star scale. Placing your cursor over the stars should give you a pop-up describing the article's quality (Low/Medium/High), current assessment class, and predicted assessment class.

The method we use to predict article quality also allows us to assess whether an article might need specific types of work in order to improve its quality. The work needed might not correspond to cleanup tags added to the article, since our method is not based on those. We have added five columns reflecting this work assessment, where a red X indicates improvement is needed. Placing your cursor over an X should give you a pop-up with a short description of the work needed. The five columns seek to answer the following five questions:

Content: Is more content needed?
Headings: Does this article have an appropriate section structure?
Images: Is the number of illustrative images about right?
Links: Does this article link to enough other Wikipedia articles?
Sources: For its length, is there an appropriate number of citations to sources in this article?

Just Another Band from L.A.: Scaruffi's self-published source

Per the discussion at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Albums#Piero_Scaruffi_-_Final_Verdict_on_using_him_as_a_source_in_reviews - there's a very clear consensus here that Scaruffi is not to be used as a source in music/album articles in any capacity. Do not add his reviews to review charts, or his opinions in reception sections. Since this is a long running dispute, any contributor warned by the situation and who doesn't respect it, would encounter sanctions and could be blocked from editing. Thanks.
