Slap Bass
[edit]Should this article say something about Jackson's attitude towards slap/pop technique. I know he is strongly opposed to it but I can't think of a source so am reticent to add anything. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.133.94.170 (talk) 23:53, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
Six String Bass
[edit]Fender released the Bass VI in 1961. Anthony Jackson would have been 9 years old. I am having trouble understanding how "His idea... precedes any modern six string bass by at least twenty years". Is this statement based on his choice of tuning? The statement is not accurate and not encyclopedic. It is a boast, and not true. I am confident that Mr. Jackson made many important developments to the electric bass, but building the original six string bass is not one of them. Rainbow-five (talk) 23:01, 21 November 2010 (UTC)
Les Claypool does not own Anthony Jackson's 6-string Carl Thompson. Les owns the first 6-string fretless bass created by Carl, which was later converted to a fretted bass. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 206.83.238.179 (talk) 22:14, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
Rewrite?
[edit]The prose in this article smacks of people copying text into this article. Looking at it's history, it appears that other editors have waded through this but only removed one chunk of the article, which was just what I did. What a mess. --Leahtwosaints (talk) 00:20, 2 December 2011 (UTC)
