The Chick Corea Elektric Band CD
[edit]I bought this CD from a local shop when it was released and it was one of the very first CDs that I ever bought. I was about 20 at the time and mad on Hi-Fi component systems, and I'd recently bought a Denon DCD-700 CD player and needed something to play on it. When playing this CD a mysterious 'emphasis' light would be activated and I had absolutely no idea what it meant. I remember that the CD player's manual did not explain what emphasis was, only that CDs recorded with emphasis would activate the emphasis indicator! I continued to use the same CD player on and off for 15 years (I was moving about a lot and it spent some time shrink-wrapped - and still is!) and I haven't noticed any other CD activate the emphasis indicator. Proposed deletion of "(he does not play any solos on the album)"
[edit]The comment "(he does not play any solos on the album)" has a slight negative connotation that downgrades the contribution of Jimmy Earl to the album. After all, he did play on every track, and helped to compose three tracks (For documentation, see his page.) . I believe the comment is technically true and probably entered without intention of negativity (by 128.214.205.4 (talk), on 16 May 2008), but if no one objects within a week or two I propose to delete it. - -Deer*lake (talk) 14:40, 25 January 2011 (UTC)

"History" section
[edit]What exactly is going on here? In the history section it is boldly stated in a subheading that Paint the World was the band's fifth album, yet according to the discography section it's their sixth. There seems to be some confusion about this in the text itself, too.
The grammar and general writing style of the history section are also sub-par. Very confusing, badly worded, clunky text. 193.210.183.146 (talk) 13:14, 10 July 2022 (UTC)
