Can you please explain to me why my page is up for being deleted? The history of the club was written by guys from the club. I have cited other articles written on the club from the university's own website. All pictures on there we're taken by me. And Wikipedia has a category called "University and college rugby union clubs in the United States"

D. C. Douglas
Hello C.Fred, I just picked you out randomly. I came across the D. C. Douglas article a voice over actor who has been editing his own article. I thought this wasn't allowed. Has this rule changed? If not, Wikipedia will have very little respect left if this continues. I think this would be a bad precedent to allow some third rate actor to edit things "his own way" on Wikipedia. I find it highly arrogant on Douglas' part. I don't think he should be given the right to edit his own article if, in fact, it is still not allowed. Mr. Douglas brought attention to himself in the media by his own actions. Now he's trying to manipulate the article to justify himself. Perhaps, if he cannot stop editing his own article the article should be removed altogether. Anyway, I'd rather not be the only person to patrol this and thought that an administrator should get involved in a constructive way. I hope that you or another admin could look into this. Thank you for looking into this situation. Dwain (talk) 03:22, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
Dwain and Fred, I have been trying to fend off vandalism of this page that I started. yes, I did. If I no longer can add info to it, then we should delete it since it has never been relevant before. I have entered a comprehensive and well sourced section regarding this episode. mind you, it was my press release that got the attention. Ergot, my info is what the Huffington Post based their article on.
Dwain, your entry was so simple and misleading that it was essentially repeating errors and conflations by Matt Kibbe. Please see my new entry and let me know what is erroneous about it. I believe I covered it quite well.
Fred, if it's true that the person a page is about cannot edit the article with new information,y et I was allowed to create the initial one, then said article shouldn't exist at all. It would just be Dwain creating it (for reasons I'd be interested in hearing about) and it would be me asking for libelous info to be dropped. I have also posted more info on the Biographies page for people like me upset with erroneous info reported by FOX News taken as gospel. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Misterdc (talk • contribs) 05:21, 6 May 2010 (UTC)
Phi Kappa Psi controversial section
Hello, I'm a member of Phi Kappa Psi and I posted an RfC at Talk:Phi Kappa Psi#Possible move of the William Beebe rape section to new bio article three weeks ago to remove part of a section, and create a biography article that I believe is more appropriate to contain the incident. I then posted about this on the user pages of people who have been involved in discussions about this topic before. The only response has been another man who is also a member of my fraternity, and that response was not to the RfC.
If you could review this and provide some guidance, I would appreciate it. NYCRuss ☎ 13:13, 5 May 2010 (UTC)
- Some more info was added, so you can get a more complete view of the history of this issue. I also posted some questions. Please revisit Talk:Phi Kappa Psi#Possible move of the William Beebe rape section to new bio article and chime in. Thanks, NYCRuss ☎ 19:33, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Deletion of Wikipedia entry: TNVENT
I recently submitted an article on behalf of TNV Entertainment. TNV is an entertainment company. It is no less significant than other Wikipedia entries about other entertainment companies including Def Jam, Bad Boy Entertainment, etc. One could just easily make an A7 deletion on grounds of advertising for the aforementioned entries. I am requesting restoration of the tnvent entry.
Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Colella.nicholas (talk • contribs) 05:12, 7 May 2010 (UTC)

- Acting like a record label does not make it a record label. With no reliable, independent sources in the article, there was no clear assertion of notability about the group, so speedy deletion criterion A7 applied. —C.Fred (talk) 23:04, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Deletion of Wikipedia entry: TNVENT
On behalf of TNV Entertainment, I am requesting restoration of the Wikipedia entry. It said there was no explanation of the article's significance. I have two independent sources: http://www.bbb.org/boston/business-reviews/entertainment-bureaus/t-and-v-express-in-north-quincy-ma-114227/
TNV is a multipurpose entertainment company/booking agency. The EIN number is [redacted]. It is registered with all appropriate government agencies.

Note that this page contains links to other Wikipedia entries that have been deemed notability; therefor, it is my assertion that TNV is vicariously notable. RE: Deletion was primarily on the grounds of notability not being demonstrated of Tnvent. There were no independent reliable sources provided to show that the company is notable, as are required by the general notability guidelines. —C.Fred (talk) 05:15, 7 May 2010 (UTC) A listing with the Better Business Bureau is not an indicator of notability. Please review WP:CORP and indicate which of those enumerated criteria the company meets, or which independent reliable sources (e.g., newspapers) have given substantial coverage to the company. —C.Fred (talk) 00:42, 9 May 2010 (UTC) TNV_Nick 01:54, 9 May 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Colella.nicholas (talk • contribs)

AirTran Airways
Hey C.Fred, can you take a look at the history for AirTran Airways? If you recall, there was a user who sockpuppeted there in January. It appears that his main account's block expired (User:Airtran371), and began editing AirTran Airways again. He/she removed an entire section that was fully sourced, but negative towards AirTran Airways here. I undid that revision here. Airtran371 then logged out and "agreed" with himself as an IP here. This looks like sockpuppeting and a conflict of interest to me. Eagles 24/7 (C) 19:19, 18 May 2010 (UTC)

Hi, you helped me before with a problem involving WNBA pages and User:Infonerd2216. I'm not sure if you remember that, but I need your help again. Recently, on the Connecticut Sun page, someone has been making continuously bad edits to one specific part of the page. Here: Connecticut_Sun#Season-by-season_records. The IP user 71.235.140.89 continues to put in information that is unnecessary, cluttering, and inconsistent with other WNBA team pages. Six times now, that user has made the same edit...myself and User:MR.Texan281 have both reverted the edits at different times, yet they continue to be made. I know you specialize in stopping vandalism so I wanted to come to you first to figure out what to do. Thanks! Nickv1025 (talk) 14:38, 19 May 2010 (UTC)

Hello, yes it does say it. If you go down to underneath the schedule, it tells you the synopsis for the future season and the main characters, Lee Norris and Antwon Tanner aren't listed. Which is why I said they may possibly be recurring. I'm guessing you watch the show, on that note, I was going to say Paul Johansson has been removed too, the reason why I didn't include that was because I didn't know if he died or anything in season 7 or if he left?? That IP on List of Jonas L.A. episodes
I really don't expect the IP to engage in the discussion but obviously you had to try. It's interesting to note that the editor is able to maintain the IP address for an extended period of time if she so chooses,[1] but when she decides to disrupt, the IP changes after only a few edits. This was the case at List of Jonas L.A. episodes, where a constructive edit under 74.12.10.181[2] was followed by a disruptive edit under a new address.[3] --AussieLegend (talk) 19:48, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
Teen Sitcom Page Issues
I have been trying to explain to AussieLegend for the past couple days that I am only trying to improve the List of Jonas L.A. episodes page. I have been accused of vandalism, some of my questions have been ignored, and I am downright fed up. The ip on my computer changes frequently, but the first two numbers are always the same because my network doesn't change. I believe this user has assumed bad faith, possibly because I'm an anonymous user -74.12.5.123 (talk) 20:54, 25 May 2010 (UTC)
- There's an open thread at Talk:List of Jonas L.A. episodes for discussion of the merits of the colour change, if you'd like to participate. Then we can just worry about things on a go-forward basis rather than try to unravel which IPs did what in the past. It may also be worth creating an account so you're not mixed up with any of the anonymous editors who have contributed in a non-constructive manner in the past. —C.Fred (talk) 15:53, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
- I do not want to create an account. I already have accounts on other wikis, and don't want to have to be answering people's questions on this site. I really don't have as much time on my hands as other users -74.12.5.141 (talk) 17:47, 26 May 2010 (UTC)
- Then you'll just have to accept the fact that your contributions will be intermingled with other contributions from your IPs, so you may be treated the way those other users are. Additionally, you'll have to accept that some editors do pay extra scrutiny/less attention to the contributions of IPs because of the ease of misuse. —C.Fred (talk) 18:09, 26 May 2010 (UTC)

iCarly Wiki
User:Night Fight and I are engaged in an edit war over an external link to the iCarly wiki. This user is getting other users to undo my edits to circumvent the three-undo rule, and in turn I deleted his/her talk page. We need to resolve this conflict. -- Confession0791 (talk) 22:45, 30 May 2010 (UTC)
- Confession0791 is a new user to Wikipedia. I'm not familiar with the use of wikis as external links, so I recommended that he/she ask you. From what I can tell, Night Fight reverted the addition, and asked that Confession discuss it on the talk page. Confession did so, but Night Fight will not discuss the matter and has started an edit war to keep it off the article. The latest removal is from the anon 85.179.108.91, whose only edit was to remove the external link. I find it highly coincidental that an anon would randomly appear to remove it when Night Fight is at the 3RR limit, but it is only circumstantial evidence. Anyways, hopefully your expertise can help with this situation. Ωphois 22:57, 30 May 2010 (UTC)

Bring Flashforward Back- Deleted??
http://www.seattlepi.com/tvguide/421194_tvgif4.html
There is one of MANY media outlets that have mentioned the campaign.
In this article it gives a link to the "Save Flashforward" site created by the "Bring Flashforward Back" Fan campaign.
The article is about a massive protest coming up created BY the fan campaign.
That is not a blog.
http://www.i-newswire.com/fans-plan-protests-over-cancelled/41228
Also-
7 More NEWS articles about the upcoming protest.
Also- I am the head coordinator for the Detroit Protest and here alone as far as press coverage I have ABC News and The Oakland Press. I have an outgoing email to the Detroit Free Press and I am contact FOX and NBC News Monday. All of those are actual news outlets that will be covering our campaign.
WHY should it be recreated?
As people are reading about the protests and need a source to read about the campaign. About the Cause. The hope for result. What efforts have already been made. What future efforts are being planned, And a link for the campaign page to go to as a resource or to get involved.
That is why I created the page.

Reply to your comments on Bring Flashforward Back
Everything I wrote was from a neutral point of view.
No opinions were in there and by reading the article(Do not know if you did) you would not know whether or not I was a fan of the show.
I will give credit that it would be better as a part in the flashforward page versus it's own individual page.
I would like to create a "Fan Campaign" Part of that Wiki Page.
Is there anything I should know beforehand?
Thanks!

Hi C.Fred,
Can you please cite what was wrong with the article that was created for Injurylawyers4u?
Please can show me specifics including:
- what you deemed sales/promotion lead material or tone of voice - references - citations
I personally believe there was no reference to promote the business as it is a piece to show the existence of an established UK company. If this article has been deleted then may I point you in the direction of the article contained here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Accident_Helpline as the template and wording has been based on the grammar and content contained within this.

Northumbria Intra Mural league
I just wanted to ask why this page was deleted. Im new to this and as such perhaps am unaware fully however the page serves the purpose of establishing knowledge of the Northumbria Intra Mural League. Though im only dealing with the one league that is because I have knowledge of it and others intend to build up the other leagues. There isn't a great deal of information on it which is the crux of the matter as that is why I am writing the page. Though I have linked to the website that hosts the league table fixtures and results so it is obviously a legitimate topic.
Any feedback to make the page ok would be appreciated, and if I understand your intro on this a reply on this would be appreciated as I have no idea what my talkback page is!

Thank you for the welcome and alterations
Dear C.Fred
Thank you for the welcome. This is all very new to me so am still finding my way through all of the codes, and thank you for helping with the picture (I couldn't work out how to decrease the size)
In answer to your question I am not the subject of the page. I only know him from having seen his work in the theatre, and believe that he deserves to be listed on here. His body of work is steadily increasing along with the number of original roles he has created. Also, as he has now worked in both the UK and America I think it is another reason for him to deserve a listing.
I understand that you have to monitor the content and I would be happy to discuss any alterations that you think I should make.
I wasn't sure about putting the link to buy the cd on the page but am happy for you to delete it.
Regarding the banner that you inserted, I will remove it if you don't mind. I think that I have been very neutral as a start to this page and will now wait to see what others add.
Also, in terms of the photograph, in the UK an actor's publicity shot is allowed to have unlimited use on the internet.
Best Wishes

KPDO
Hello - Although we are currently broadcasting at a low range we are licensed and approved to increase our signal strength, and will be doing so later this month. We do not wish to be branded as a "low-powered" station so that when we make the transition to the stronger transmitter (one that would not be classified as "low-powered") our branding and marketing is in line with the power and range of our broadcasts. KPDO is currently, technically speaking, broadcasting at a low power, but does not fall into the "low-powered radio station" category. Nlossing (talk) 19:14, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

Unfair Warning
You stated if I continued to move pages, which I have only done once, so a general note NOT a warning was needed therefore you are abusing templates. - If you can put a link to the online publication at Talk:Guilty People, that will make it easier to evaluate just what the publication considers itself—and whether the article is eligible for A7 as a web publication or a company. —C.Fred (talk) 23:29, 5 July 2010 (UTC)

Rudy Gay Clause
The “Rudy Gay Clause” expressed by the user references an NCAA clause which banned colleges from scrimmaging AAU teams in November. Whether the clause is generally accepted as the “Rudy Gay Clause” is beside the point (and still not proven). No such clause exists, period. Associating the name to Rudy Gay is slandering his name. The secondary source is using opinion to back up this point of the argument; an argument to which references false information of a clause that does not exist per NCAA rules and regulations: http://www.ncaa.org/wps/portal/ncaahome?WCM_GLOBAL_CONTEXT=/wps/wcm/connect/ncaa/NCAA/Legislation%20and%20Governance/Eligibility%20and%20Recruiting/Recruiting/recruiting.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.188.160.91 (talk) 02:01, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- Actually, yes, it does exist. It was proposal No. 03-92, which passed:
Strikehold (talk) 23:49, 13 July 2010 (UTC)The Management Council approved another important proposal that affects men's basketball. Council members OK'd Proposal No. 03-92, which precludes teams from scheduling exhibition games against noncollegiate teams. The proposal alleviates pressure for basketball coaches to schedule exhibition games against "club" teams run by people with connections to high-school prospects.

Jesse Goldwater
Hi-
As the contributor on the Jesse Goldwater page, I would like to have access to the text so I can resubmit it to prove significance to wikipedia. It was deleted under the terms that there were not sources provided, and that he was related to other people of merit. While he is indeed related to such people, the purpose of the article was not for those reasons. I would like access so that I might provide sources, along with a clean up of the article to establish him as a notable person worth of inclusion in wikipedia's archives. Thank you for your consideration.

Those who dwell under bridges
In case you missed it, the IP who has been posting to may talk page and removed content from List of Jonas L.A. episodes is a troll. "She" has posted on my talk page in the past.[5] She commits subtle vandalism,[6] like changing colours on pages for no reason. She seems able to maintain an IP for as long as she wants but changes it as soon as she's identified as a vandal or her edits are reverted, as she's done at the Jonas article. I'm not sure what to do about her. --AussieLegend (talk) 13:17, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
Jason Steed (Book Series)
While I appreciate that you are keen to make Wikipedia a wonderful encyclopedia full of amazing facts, can I ask if you actually checked the article Jason Steed (Book Series) before you deleted it per "deletion discussion"? This delection discussion took place in June 2009 - more than a year ago - and, since then, new references have been added, a publication date set and tributes paid to the book by the author Joe Craig - who is officially considered 'Wikipedia notable.' Just thought I'd ask.--Onthemap (talk) 12:46, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
- Would absolutely love to C.Fred but, of course, you have deleted the page. So that makes it rather hard, or rather well nigh impossible, doesn't it???! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Onthemap (talk • contribs) 12:54, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
- Could only find an old copy, but here are a couple of refs: This one [7] is a newspaper article which gives most of the details. This [8] gives details of the publishing deal and how the book is an "internet hit", this [9] lists the book as a finalist in the Indie Book Awards and this [10] is an official interview with the writer from TeensReadToo.com. is this enough to be getting on with?--Onthemap (talk) 14:37, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
Jonas Color Revert
Is there a reason why everyone keeps reverting List of Jonas L.A Episodes? It's not vandalism, it's more of a 'edit war' which other users are doing, not me. As you know this user is being unreasonable about everything including sourcs for summaries for TSLOD episodes. I really dont know what his problem is - ElaineBenes —Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.12.0.252 (talk • contribs) 16:40, 19 July 2010 (UTC)
- At least one of your edits today was more than just a colour change. It added stray episode blurbs outside of the table, so I know that was reverted as disruptive. As for the colour changes, it's the same as the last time you asked: you have failed to generate consensus at the talk page to change the colours. Likewise, as explained at User talk:AussieLegend where you asked within the past 24 hours, you have not provided reliable sources for the episode summaries. —C.Fred (talk) 17:04, 19 July 2010 (UTC)

I recieved your message about my edits to the Samurai Sam's Teriyaki Grill article and I am aware that companies are discouraged from making edits to their own page. However, I contacted the Wikimedia Support Team about making revisions of a factual nature and I was told that fixing factual inaccuaracies was allowed. RE: Rudy Gay Clause
Now that you’ve done your due diligence instead of blindly taking a secondary source verbatim, we can discuss the real matter.
1.) Your secondary source calling the NCAA ruling “The Rudy Gay Clause” is not even noted by an author: http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2005/jan/09/20050109-125720-7898r/
The credentials of the writer are incapable of being ascertained.
2.) Apparently you aren’t a college sports fan. The source, while not specifying an author, is The Washington Times. Gary Williams of the Maryland Terrapins had a gripe against Rudy Gay for choosing Uconn over Maryland, and made his feelings know publicly concerning the recruitment process. College Park, Maryland (home of the Maryland Terrapins) is 15 minutes from the actual, physical, location of The Washington Post. Are you seeing where the local bias comes into play? Then is should come as no surprise that a source noted from The Washington Post would take creative license in an attempt to bash the former recruit that scorned his/her (gender is optional seeing as though no source is noted) team. Just because a bitter Maryland fan decides to adopt the term does not make this factual information. Rudy Gay has no clause for which he was named. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.188.160.91 (talk) 01:14, 20 July 2010 (UTC)

I was under the impression that Wikipedia was not a forum for humorous content, and that articles should be of an encyclopedic nature. If this is true, then why is the following article on Wikipedia?

List of Ice Age characters
Could you, please, defend your rush statements "..deliberately introducing incorrect information, as you did to List of Ice Age characters.. Some of the changes, such as from Neanderthal to Cro-Magnon, are clearly inappropriate..."?
Any references to Neanderthals still living 20'000 years ago (time of the Ice Age movie action), or possessing skills for making advanced tools and decorations of Upper Paleolithic, clearly shown in the movie, or domesticating animals (dogs)? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.204.92.203 (talk) 14:08, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
- The rest of the article uses the term "Neanderthal." Based on that, your spot changes are what appear inappropriate. Really, in this case, what's relevant is not whether Neanderthals or Cro-Magnons were the appropriate skill set but what the movie creators intended them to be; I'll go checking the reviews and secondary sources to see if they use one term or the other most of the time. —C.Fred (talk) 14:43, 29 July 2010 (UTC)

Then it should come as no surprise that a source noted from The Washington Post would take creative license in an attempt to bash the former recruit that scorned his/her (gender is optional seeing as though no source is noted) team. Just because a bitter Maryland fan decides to adopt the term does not make this factual information. Rudy Gay has no clause for which he was named. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.188.160.91 (talk) 17:15, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
- First, verbatim quote from the story: "The NCAA has adopted the 'Rudy Gay' clause when it comes to scheduling November exhibitions." Second, the byline is the Associated Press; it's probably not a writer from the Post, much less one from the Times, who wrote the story. Even if it were, it's been reviewed and vetted not just by a local editor's desk, but by the national wire service desk. The source is reliable and neutral, end of story. —C.Fred (talk) 18:07, 1 August 2010 (UTC)
Reverted your edits concerning fuze
My husband, who is an engineer and a recipient of the Charles Christian Lauritsen award, pointed out the misspelling. As he is a recognized expert in this field, I do believe he would know how to spell fuze. Here is the dictionary definition: [13] And as referred to in the article it deals with a proximity fuze. That is the correct spelling based on article usage and definition.

Highroad No. 28- more citations added. Please let me know anymore needed.
Dear Fred, I have added extensive citations to the Highroad No. 28 page to conform to the expectations of Wiki.
You stated "None of your assertions about the band that you made on my talk page (international touring, multiple major-label albums) were present in the article text"
On the Wiki page I never made any assertions that the band were internationally touring, or had multiple major-label albums. The albums were released via independent label(s) DSM99 Records. Distribution of the albums are by WJO Distribution. They are additional labels and distributors I added their, with citations present.
All the citations (apart from the Myspace and Facebook ones- and they are external refernces) are from independent sources.
Can you please let me know if anymore needs to be done, because I cannot see how the page does not conform to Wikis standards. Many Thanks, Warm regards —Preceding unsigned comment added by Hrno28 (talk • contribs) 23:41, 2 August 2010 (UTC)

C.Fred deletion of Mark Bowen Barron
Dear C.Fred
I was posting the bio for Mark Bowen Barron. It was flagged for copywrite issue with www.capitalcrew.com.
I was in the process of reading what to do about this as I do have permission to use the text from the website, but it was deleted by you before I could figure out how to remedy the situation.
After reading what is necessary to secure the needed permissions I will try and post this again in the future. I hope this deletion will not effect the future submission.

TDWT & Design Star
Hi C. Fred! We have come in contact with each other before with the Total Drama World Tour article! I was wondering, if you could maybe come back to the discussion about the elimination table? It would be of great help! Also, I have recently been constantly editing Design Star. The article is getting way too long, and I need your help. Can you create 5 separate articles for each DS season, and then place the info from the current main article in each of them? If you can, thank you so much! TDI19 (talk) 23:45, 12 August 2010 (UTC)

Woodinville Repertory Theatre deletion
I would like to discuss with you why you chose to delete the article I wrote about WRT. WRT is, yes, a small little company in a small town outside of Seattle but that does not mean it is not significant. It is referenced in the Peg Phillips article but gives no other details. So I looked them up as a way to help honor her and her work.
Since you cited "Article about a company, corporation, organization, or group, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject" as the reason you deleted the article; could you please explain to me what would give you the impression of importance of WRT? I will happily find more information if needed.
I thought a small theatre company would be important. That they offer a scholarship would be important. That they were founded by an Emmy nominated actress would be important. I know there are not a lot of community theatre entries on Wikipedia and I feel that is wrong. I think more small companies, more mom and pop outfits should have an on-line presence that includes Wikipedia. This is a user generated site and what one person finds important someone else may not. Small businesses make up the majority of businesses in this country and the majority of employers. They sadly do not make up the majority of the economy, but that does not make them any less important.
The Village Theatre in Issaquah, WA has an entry and they started as a small community theatre. Everyone starts small and builds from there.
Your advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,

Rugby Forum
It is debatable whether a forum really merits an article but this article really ought not to be in the rugby league category as this is not a rugby league forum nor should it be in rugby football since that category is generally reserved for sports that are akin to rugby but aren't rugby or the game pre the 1895 great schism. Nor should "rugby" be used to stand for "rugby union" as this goes against the manual of style as "rugby" can be used to refer to rugby league as well.GordyB (talk) 20:32, 14 August 2010 (UTC)
- It does not cover rugby league, you are allowed to discuss rugby league. I have yet to come across a rugby union forum that didn't have a rugby league subforum or a rugby league site that didn't have rugby union subforum but this is not a rugby league forum. It is 99% rugby union with rugby league given the occasional mention.GordyB (talk) 20:38, 14 August 2010 (UTC)

- Hi there. I came across this article about an unreleased album, and while there has been improvement since its AfD I think that it should be incubated until the track listing is complete. WP:NALBUMS does say that "an unreleased album may qualify for an advance article if there is sufficient verifiable and properly referenced information about it", but there's only a few sentences right now and the album's not to be released for about two more months. It can be covered at the artist's article until the track listing is complete. The artist's article should include a summary of the album anyway. Cliff smith talk 00:13, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

ZTA Notable Members
As a member of Zeta Tau Alpha, I can look up all members (living or dead) by name, chapter, or other demographics through the fraternity's official website ( http://www.zetataualpha.org/ ). Shannon James is not a member. There are five Shannon's from the chapter at the University of Central Florida (over years and years of members). None of them is a James. There has been one James in all that time, but, again, not Shannon.
It is common practice for a girl to RELINQUISH sorority membership if she chooses to participate in Playboy or other similar activities. So, even if she was a collegian member for a brief while, she is not, now. She can't be a notable member if she is not a member at all.
Austinzta (talk) 19:48, 20 August 2010 (UTC)
Neither of the sources listed (Playboy's site nor her Model Mayhem profile) state anything about Zeta Tau Alpha. Her own site simply re-directs back to Playboy. Neither of the sources cited claim that she is (or ever was) a member.

Succession boxes
Sorry. I will do that next time. But I would like the succession boxes in every manager that won the competition. I believe not only is it relevant but the template helps organize the navigational boxes.
As far as the admin, he is vandalizing a great deal of articles regardless of whether the edits are great, positive contributions or not.
As far as the table of results on the List of Copa Libertadores winning managers, the table at the bottom is a table of results; just a very basic one. I merely became more detailed. I want to ask you if you could help me fix a few details here and there on the list. It would make a great FL. Of course, I would be more than happy to help you promote anything you are working on as long as they meet whatever criteria required.
I am here to expand and help, not make enemies. Unfortunetly, some people (like the admin reverting like crazy) are more concerned with blocking then editing (look at the last 30 contributions).
Would you become my mentor? I still don't quite get why certain people on wiki are the way they are and I would like to have someone show me. You're the first one to actually be willing to talk about the edits. Super anode (talk) 17:29, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
Super anode (talk) 17:34, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- LOL I think you are confused. The table is of results but of managers, not teams. Look carefully, my friend. The tables are highly relevant to the list itself. I took the liberty of reverting the article.Super anode (talk) 17:43, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- Not to mention, the list is completely sourced; the tables at the bottom are there to facilitate the reader in figuring out basic info (who was the most successful coach, least successful, how many times have he won it); things that can't be done on the previous article. Super anode (talk) 17:45, 31 August 2010 (UTC)
- Plus, the Copa Libertadores article is full of details (the main reason why this sort of lists were created). It should be ready for FA status in a while so adding a really big table would dampen that goal. Super anode (talk) 17:47, 31 August 2010 (UTC)

Quack, quack
Hello C.Fred--can you please have a look at User:Not a Vet, Just a Pet Owner and see if its plumage resembles that of User:Is It Raining Underground?? Thanks! Drmies (talk) 03:54, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
- Drmies, please WP:AGF. Some of us just normally like to edit via IP, but since there are enough account registration nazis these days, that seems not very possible any more. You'll notice I'm not even bothering to edit the article, simply suggesting that you could have caught more flies with honey had you paid attention to WP:BITE and not gone around poking the WP:BEAR. Thanks, Not a Vet, Just a Pet Owner (talk)
- I do believe, Drmies, that calling someone names in a foreign language is still insulting and a violation of WP:CIVIL. Not a Vet, Just a Pet Owner (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 04:23, 15 September 2010 (UTC).
- Maybe you should learn that language properly, and you'd know what it meant. Drmies (talk) 04:25, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
According to Google Translate and my superheroic supersense of common sense, it means that you're calling me - without justification or cause - a sockpuppet. The paranoia is unwarranted and you really should sit back, practice a little WP:AGF, and start treating your fellow editors with the respect you seem to feel you deserve. Practice the Golden Rule and it will work wonders for you. Again, catch more flies with honey... Not a Vet, Just a Pet Owner (talk) ]
I have blocked Not a Vet, Just a Pet Owner indefinitiely for using Wikipedia only for trolling, so it doesn't matter whether it was a sockpuppet of Is It Raining Underground? or not. However, for what it's worth I am confident it was a sockpuppet. JamesBWatson (talk) 15:54, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

it is part of UGA thats why it is the UGA Fishing Team but all the other teams are NCAA regulated it is not therefor it does not belong with the others and if your going to take my page you need to put more than one sentence about it. I care about the sport it deserves its own page just like the others. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mary tolbert (talk • contribs) 18:22, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
This site is to inform and thats exactly what I was doing informing anyone who wanted to know there is a fishing team and they are working hard to better themselves as fishermen and as men. the sources are notable as well as the team. They are a UGA team. You can check the FLW website. The boys have appeared on ESPN U while in the National Championship. - Hey Fred,
It's upsetting for me to see that someone can falsify and deny the existence of true Turkish novelist F. Rifat Ulkuman just for not to get punished because of the vandalism. I really wonder if you did a complete research about him before deleting his article .Just because some random person claims that he doesn't exist, shouldn't give you a right to delete the article of such a big novelist and politician. Labeling the life and publications of such a person as 'Hoax' is a serious claim which needs to be supported by a great research aand as i can see you haven't done that ,did you? Even though doing that research should be your job let me help you to realize what a serious mistake you have done.

The page of "Genesys Logic, Inc."
Dear Fred,
We would like to add the page of our company but has been deleted by you because of A7 issue. Could you please let us know how to prove our notability to let our information stay in Wikipedia? There is indeed another page "Programmed input/output" reference our company Genesys Logic (afterward I changed it to the correct name Genesys Logic, Inc.), so I don't understand what is the matrix to judge a company is not notability.
We also found a similar company JMicron as us, and they do have their own page to express their company even the product list on Wikipedia. Kindly let us know what else information we should prepare to pass the certification, and please write to my talk page. Many thanks for your help in advance.

Clique Girlz vs Destinee & Paris
The Clique Girlz as a group withhold sufficient informational, creative, and influential artistic value as an individual entity to merit their own Wikipedia page apart from Destinee & Paris. Destinee Monroe and Paris Monroe are two sisters who have now formed a duo of themselves, but this duo (called "Destinee & Paris") is not a direct evolution of the Clique Girlz. These two groups were established by entirely different contractual obligations and built on unique motivational foundations with distinct rosters and their identities should remain as so. It is incorrect to refer to Destinee & Paris as a group that evolved solely from a group that in the past had a different name (Clique Girlz) with additional members; it is appropriate rather to identify these two sisters as past members of the Clique Girlz by establishing a new page apart from the withstanding Destinee & Paris page. - The Old Boys' Association logo cannot be added, since there's no way to verify that's what it is. It's just parked at somebody's website.
- The Association logo, by contrast, could be used, except I don't think the association is discussed at all in the article on the John Fisher School, and the association is a separate entity. —C.Fred (talk) 13:55, 12 October 2010 (UTC)
C Fred; The Old Boys Association is exactly that, an Old Boys Association for teachers and students in the English School Tradition, look at other schools if you don't believe me, Archbishop Tennisons in Croydon, Eton, Wellington College, Wilson's Grammar. All of these schools have wonderful crests and badges as does the John Fisher school. You however refuse to upload any of this wonderful history! I don't see why such a prestigious school is held hostage by you; are you even a former pupil? From what I gather you're American.
The graphic of the fish in a bed of reeds is the school badge, the school badge is also used by the association. Can you please provide this at the top of the page, because to be honest the John Fisher schools page looks drab and boring, there is only one terrible graphic of the comprehensive's headmaster.

The new cover is of tooo high quality to pass WP:NFCC and covers without the parental advisory sticker are preferred. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 14:10, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
- one can quite clearly see that the new cover has a much sharper contrast and color ratio etc. The older image is slightly blurier as well as more 'noisy' (to use a photoshop term), it would be classified as low quality whereas the other new one is much higher quality. the pixels refer more to relative quality to size. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 14:40, 17 October 2010 (UTC)
Not a violation
I do not believe that my username violates the username policy as it simply suggests that I am an officer (not a wikipedia officer) for accuracy. I stated that I was Wikipedia's Accuracy Officer because my username is AccuracyOfficer and I have joined wikipedia. Just as, on a forum called ElfShine, if I am called Bobblegog, I may say "Elfshine's Bobblegog". —Preceding unsigned comment added by AccuracyOfficer (talk • contribs) 05:18, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
One of the definitions of 'officer' is 'act as the commander of (a unit)'. I am acting as the commander of my own one-man unit for accuracy on the world wide web. Anotehr definition is 'a holder of a senior post in a society, company, or other organization'. I hold the post of 'officer' in the Organisation for Improving Accuracy on the Internet (OIAI). Thus my name is not misleading at all.AccuracyOfficer (talk) 05:27, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
- Sorry, but that just doesn't wash. On my Talk page you said "As Wikipedia's Accuracy Officer, I ask that you do not undo important edits in the future" - that is a clear claim to some position of authority on Wikipedia. If you do it again, you will probably be blocked. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 07:44, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
O.K. I added some personal analysis, but it was based on fact. Watch the video evidence. If you see a man looking at a giant orange, then to say it is obvious he would have seen teh giant orange is factually accurate unless he may have been blind. Summers was not blind. 'Apparently' simply means 'as far as one knows or can see' and therefore is not an attempt at asserting something as fact and so is NOT non-neutral. And other edits were changing bias in the article - such as the claim, without substantiation, that the pervert Summers "was not aware of" Nix's actions. There is no evidence whatsoever for that claim, other than the word of one woman, who incidentally refused to talk during an interview when asked how she could not have seen what was happening, so hardly a reliable witness.AccuracyOfficer (talk) 05:36, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
- Even if it turns out to be correct, you still cannot add your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles - Wikipedia editors must not perform their own evaluation of the evidence or judge who is and who is not a reliable witness. Also, describing someone as "the pervert xxx" is pretty much conclusive evidence that you are editing from a biased point of view. If you want to continue to edit Wikipedia I'd strongly suggest you have a read of WP:OR, WP:NPOV and WP:3RR. If you fail to follow them, your days here are likely to be few. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 07:44, 18 October 2010 (UTC)

I have both dogs and am fair enough, original text about Benedictine already says it is a claim and moreover it is recorder at December 17, 1970. Even this record valid and I know it is in some books since I don't have the soruce, am okay to keep it just as a claim. However, Collieuk's modifications are not fair and trying to show this claim is a lie which is not acceptable. akhmetov edit war
I already reported those 4 users for sock puppetry (one main account, 3 used solely for reverting the rinat akhmetov article). They (/he) keeps reverting each and every edit regardless of how well sourced or written it is, reverts when I fix numbers that are falsely sourced, etc. They don't respond on their talk pages and don't want to use the discussion page to explain the section blanking, just cite "vandalism" or "libel" and call it a day. It doesn't look like it's going to stop and he's just trying to own the article, unless there is a result on the sock puppetry case. Thank you for stepping in and (once again) deleting the page for the "Tamaskan Wolfdog" - we have been dealing with this individual for over 3 years now. Genuine and reputable breeders of the Tamaskan Dog are saddened and disheartened to see repeated vandalism and plagiarism of our Breed Page. No doubt he will continue to attempt to recreate his OWN breed page, which is essentially a spin-off "breed" (bred by him alone, at his Puppy Farm) that consists of Tamaskan Dogs mixed with various crossbreeds and real wolf hybrids. Thanks for being vigilant and helping to keep Wikipedia neutral and legitimate. Sylvaen (talk) 17:24, 27 October 2010 (UTC)
BS24, et al.
I'll assume your readd of tags to the Aces article was a good faith, non-disruptive edit. FYI User BS24 is an active sock of NYyankees51, as were ArchConservative93, and BBT2005 and many other accts. Currently BS24 is being investigated for sock puppetry and may or may not be blocked.[15]. The defense is that BS24 is a fresh start acct. Claiming so obliges BS24 to not return to editing the Aces article unless an admin approves. (In as short as possible terms, BS24 claims the the block for sock-puppetry was due solely to vandalism done to the Aces article This is untrue: the still indefinite block was actually placed last January for "abusive use of multiple accounts." Nonetheless, any editing of the Aces article by BS24, or socks thereof, would be an manifest abandonment of this defense.) If you see disruptive and sock-like behavior, you may want to inquire further. The Artist AKA Mr Anonymous (talk) 23:31, 27 October 2010 (UTC)

Please advise about my next step to progressing this. --Penbat (talk) 17:38, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
- I came here because I was curious about Sam Vaknin because of this documentary. I would suggest that the 2006 AfD can no longer be considered relevant for summary redeletion.. BalthCat (talk) 07:23, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
- See also User_talk:Penbat#Re:_Sam_Vankin. I agree. It was only at a much later date that User:Zeraeph was discredited and permanently banned and it looks very unlikely that the deletion would have happened without her influence. I wasnt involved and didnt know anything about the original afd and only happened to stumble upon it recently. Also since the afd Sam Vaknin has significantly increased Google hits so lack of notability as an argument for deletion doesnt stack up although I think his notability was high enough even at the time of the afd. --Penbat (talk) 08:28, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
- Ah, I see(C?) C.Fred's alternate reasoning on your talk page. I don't know enough about him, but maybe you can create a sourced stub :) - BalthCat (talk) 21:31, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
- As i said at User_talk:Penbat#Re:_Sam_Vankin it is easier to have something to work from and develop rather than start from a blank canvas. Why try and reinvent the wheel ? The AFD was about whether or not Sam Vaknin should exist or not, not an analysis of the quality of the article. --Penbat (talk) 21:45, 29 October 2010 (UTC)
- Ref Sam Vaknin it looks like User:Eugene van der Pijll produced a version of Sam Vaknin with private data stripped out.--Penbat (talk) 09:50, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
- "deleting version with private information" and "143 revisions restored: Restoring all versions without personal info" tells me he stripped out all versions with personal data. Cant you "see" User:Eugene van der Pijll/to delete ? --Penbat (talk) 14:52, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
- That was the piece of the puzzle I was missing. Restored and userfied at User:Penbat/Sam Vaknin. —C.Fred (talk) 15:11, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
- Much appreciated. I am in no rush to move it out to mainspace and i will try to improve it. His current notability is self evident simply by looking at Google. Im rather surprised that is currently in such a presentable polished state and well referenced.--Penbat (talk) 15:47, 30 October 2010 (UTC)

Hi, i've been trying to create a page for Snell Ltd, which you've deleted. Instead i've just gone into the snell & wilcox page and updated it so that it is now correct. However i need to change the page title to Snell instead of Snell & Wilcox but have no idea how to do it, can you help? Thank you for the welcome
Question for you that hopefully you can help with... as an experienced editor, how do you usually handle people who use Wikipedia only to harass? I am trying to assume good faith, but it seems to me that given the edit history for User:Deepsix66, he is mostly using Wikipedia to further his own agenda - specifically, to promote Frozen North Productions/Flips Twisted World and to attempt to discredit Emily Schooley and anything to do with her. (Apparently she is also involved with Futurecon, the second article he has nominated for deletion in his short time as a member here.) Thanks, Edfan77 (talk) 03:47, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
Kharne Question
Hello sir, The word kharne was not "just made up one day", it has been and is used by 100,000's of gamers every day. I have seen terms such as "newb" and "pwned" also written about on wikipedia, which is of the same as kharne. A slang term. I urge you to reconsider your deletion of the topic. Sincerly, Masterkharne (talk) 05:01, 1 November 2010 (UTC)Master Kharne (I made the account for this page solely, the name does not undermine the validity of the slang term)

Hello re connie meade-edge
I have recently altered this page, and I am not regular editor of wikipedia. I am however the nephew of Walter Malocolm Edge who is mentioned extensively in this article. Mac dissapeared in 1963 and has not been heard from since. I have checked everything on this page, and the old page for Mac, and none of it is true after 1963. There was no ministry, no gospel hour not 9 children. Nor can I find any mention of connie meade-edge, outside of this Wiki article. I am not real computer savvy and hope to nominate this artcle for deletion, or to encourage anyone to verify any information in this piece. I thank you for your time and any help you may be able to provide. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Carnieguy (talk • contribs) 15:31, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
I dont have any newspaper clips because i do not get on here always. But I have spoken first hand to the mans wife he abandoned, his daughter joyce, and got this information. Joyce wrote up about it in the Horry County newspaper. They have verified it. The truth is this man who claims he is a nephew likely had no idea what happened to Walter after he left and his mother Sabina died without knowing. So its ailen information to them but a detective located all of this for $400. The detective was hired by his wife Janet and he tracked all of this down. User:Penbat/Sam Vaknin ready for mainspace ?
I have done quite a lot of work cleaning up and updating User:Penbat/Sam Vaknin. I have tried to be balanced and NPOV. I think it is ready to be moved to mainspace and hopefully others will then work on it constructively. Unless you have any objections, please can you do the move and "watch" its progress ? I would be most unhappy if somebody tried to delete it, citing the old AFD. Obviously anybody is free to start a new AFD but see no chance that one would succeed. It may be that the article in mainspace attracts vandalism in which case semi-protection may be necessary.--Penbat (talk) 14:40, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- I am centralizing all discussion here for the purpose of being able to follow the thread, since multiple editors are likely to participate; talkback tags but not replies will go to other participants' talk pages.
- The major objection I have at this point is the introduction. The first sentence of it should make very clear why the subject is notable. All the current lede states is when and where he was born; it does not make clear why he is notable.
- The article's current structure is likewise not clear, as the first body section is "A varied life". While it may be appropriate to start the body of the article with early life of the subject (birth, schooling, etc.), it may also be useful to start it with the section about why he is most notable. That's my big concern right now—it's not clear for what thing(s) he should be considered notable. Is it as an author, for his film appearances, or for something else? It almost feels like the introductory paragraph needs to be something along the lines of (references omitted for convenience):
- Shmuel "Sam" Vaknin (born April 1961) is a journalist and author with a particular interest in narcissism. Vaknin claims to be a self-aware narcisisst, whereas most narcisissits lack self-awareness, and can give an inside look into the condition. Vaknin was also categorized as a psychopath in a documentary film, though he disputes this claim.
- This sets the framework for the article: he's an author, and it's for his work on narcissism that he's most notable. He's also appeared in a film that diagnosed him as a psychopath. Does that framing of the article make sense? —C.Fred (talk) 15:13, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- The lead says that he is primarily an author and journalist covering diverse subjects such as such as history, philosophy, politics, finance and mental health - that pretty much covers most of the ground. He has written about 20 books, written countless articles as a journalist in diverse high profile publications such as Global Politician of which he is Assistant Editor, he has had a Economic advisor government post in the Macedonian government. He must have been written about by every one of the worlds quality newspapers - such as NY Press, UK Guardian, UK Financial Times, UK Sunday Times etc etc so he is clearly notable as far as they are concerned. There is a lot of media interest in him. Ref also his CV - Sam Vaknin CV for things i have missed. The narcissism angle is probably the thing he is most well known for but he also writes about history, philosophy, politics and finance in his capacity as journalist and author.--Penbat (talk) 15:52, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- I have changed the orientation of article to deemphasis narcissism and emphasise that he is primarily an author and journalist of diverse subjects.--Penbat (talk) 17:19, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- If he's spread across a breadth of topics, then the question becomes, is he a notable author? Does he meet WP:AUTHOR? —C.Fred (talk) 17:37, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- He has had a long high profile career as a journalist. I think that alone makes him notable and he has managed to maintain that career. As for his books, each one stands or falls on his own merits. He does have a lot of citations and testimonials to his books by other authors and academics so they are generally well received and respected.[16][17][18][19][20]--Penbat (talk) 18:52, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- Just to add that Vaknin claims to have an IQ of 185. That could be a fabricated boast but I can readily believe that he does have a high IQ and that supports his ability to have a diverse portfolio of expertise.--Penbat (talk) 22:13, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- That's why we like to have secondary sources in the articles and not just the subjects' claims. —C.Fred (talk) 22:14, 1 November 2010 (UTC)
- Yep and that claim isnt in the article as i couldnt find any verification for it. However the idea that he has a high IQ seems quite credible to me.--Penbat (talk) 10:09, 2 November 2010 (UTC)
- Well ?--Penbat (talk) 21:28, 6 November 2010 (UTC)
- There seems to be foot dragging here.--Penbat (talk) 13:47, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
- This is getting very silly. Shortly I will be getting the involvement of other administrators.--Penbat (talk) 10:05, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- At this point, that may be the best thing to do. I don't see where more secondary sources have been brought in or the claim of notability is bolstered. I would suggest taking the matter to Deletion review, as in its current condition even if I didn't delete it, another administrator is likely to. —C.Fred (talk) 15:24, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- Well i can count 12 or more secondary sources. Vaknin has much higher notability than plenty of other Wiki articles. Take this one I spotted last night Chris Williams (cricketer, born 1983) - a cricketer whose sole claim to fame is that he played in 1 professional cricket match. I cant see any possible objection with the article. As i said before I have no problem with some body doing a fresh afd but the original afd was seriously tainted by a banned user and should be disregarded.--Penbat (talk) 15:41, 8 November 2010 (UTC)
- And I disagree that the AfD was tainted. Given that I don't see any more secondary sources than were in the version deleted at the prior AfD, if you think the article should be restored, open a report at DRV. —C.Fred (talk) 16:00, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

undo article
Hi C.Fred,
I've tried to change the page of Copenhagen Business School, as the figures and numbers that are currently there are outdated and wrong. I have spend a lot of time updating and trying to make it perfect however, only to find that you deleted all of it - is there any way that the new and updated version can be viewed? Perhaps if I deleted the links to the web page in the article, it would be lesser "promotional" and more focused on facts and figures? Or what can I do? Since I would like to add this more correct info for interested readers. I have btw changed my username now as you refered to not being according to username policy. As this is my first post on wiki I surely don't know all the rules and customs so any help is much appreciated. Thanks a lot. Kommunikation (talk) 00:45, 8 November 2010 (UTC)

Vegeta
Is there a reason you reverted my edit to Vegeta's ability list? I corrected SEVERAL inaccuracies in the translations... :/ Linkdude20002001 (talk) 18:30, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
- Where can I see this consensus? And as I explained in the talk page for Vegeta, ギャリック (gyarikku) does not mean garlic; garlic in Japanese is ガーリック (gārikku). Not only do Japanese dictionaries backup my claims, but the show itself does: Garlic Jr's name is written ガーリックJr. (Gārikku Junia) in Japanese. ギャリック砲 (Gyarikki Hō) translates to Gyallic/Galick/Garrick/Gyarik Cannon/Gun. The FUNimation's subtitles use Gyallic Cannon, and their English dub uses Galick Gun. Both use correct transliterations of ギャリック (Gyarikki). I don't know where people got the "Garlic Gun" idea from... :/ Linkdude20002001 (talk) 22:16, 12 November 2010 (UTC)
Alright. If you're not going to reply, I'm just going to make these translation corrections again. I brought up the "Garlic Gun" mistranslation on the Vegeta talk page four months ago and waited this whole time, but no one cared enough to discuss the issue with me, so obviously nobody cares. Besides, this isn't Dragon Ball Wiki; the pages shouldn't have mistranslations like this. I hope you understood my explanation as to why and how ギャリック (gyarikku) does not mean, and does not transliterate to, garlic. Linkdude20002001 (talk) 20:35, 13 November 2010 (UTC)

Re: logo use
I don't interpret the related Wikipedia rule as you do. And I don't think that your rationalr is correct:
"If four people have removed the logo, it's a good sign that Hammersoft is interpreting the Wikipedia guidelines correctly: club logos may not be used on the articles about the clubs' seasons. Generally, they are on the main article only, unless it's a one-off anniversary logo that clearly relates to one season only. —C.Fred (talk) 22:05, 14 November 2010 (UTC)"
Logos are not determined for one year and many people may make the same mistake.

List of The Suite Life on Deck episodes
Randolph3 made this edit on October 2, 10, 13 and then again today.[21][22][23] I don't really see the issue with the citation as ratings figures rarely, if ever, state whether they're talking about a new episode or a repeat. (Do they actually rate repeats?) The citation is for an episode on a day during which a new episode just happened to air so I think it's safe to assume that the citation is talking about the new episode. Do you have any thoughts on the matter? I'm a tad reluctant to approach the editor on his own as he tends to be somewhat dogmatic. It took an AfD to get rid of the template he insisted was absolutely necessary. --AussieLegend (talk) 22:48, 16 November 2010 (UTC)

BeaverTails
Hello C.Fred, I am new to Wikipedia and I was editing the fried dough entry. It suggests beaver tails is a generic term. BeaverTails is in fact a trademarked term in reference to fried dough products and restaurants offering such wares. BeaverTails Brands Inc. owns trademarks in Canada, the United States and numerous other countries throughout the world. BeaverTails Brands Inc. licenses the use of such trademarks to BeaverTails Canada Inc. (which franchises and licenses BeaverTails operations in Canada, the US and Saudi Arabia, as can be referenced at www.beavertailsinc.com). Please let me know if you have any questions on this. Hello! Regarding History of Myanmar
Hi C.Fred!
How are you? I am a guy from Myanmar. Regarding Cyclone Nargis in History of Myanmar, the estimated loss form Burmese official newspaper is $ 4 billions. It is true that government overestimated the loss to $ 11 bn immediately after it happened in the hope that they would receive more international help. But after 6 or 7 months, I definitely read in official newspaper by government that it was only $ 4 bn. I do not remember the date of the newspaper but it is The Mirror. I changed the actual fact and so marked minor change.
I'm a total new user on wiki starting from today. So I'm sorry if I make some errors. I'm learning.
Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Daniel7785 (talk • contribs) 05:26, 20 November 2010 (UTC)

Sigma Kappa Alpha questions on article
So someone other than anyone in our fraternity has to write an article about us.... Check "University of Redlands" wikipedia page or google "Sigma Kappa Alpha redlands" the reason why don't show up is because of another fraternity Kappa Sigma Sigma is too close to our name. We have several notable members that are pertinent, our founder for instance was one of the main developers for the maverick missile. Yes we don't have a website right now but the fact that we are apart of a major California University I think we should be able to write a article. I apologize if I am being a bother I just think that if other fraternity's at the University of Redlands have pages we should be able to have one as well. However, as an expert editor would you please step in to provide equal treatment to changes to pages and people who violate guidelines on specifically citations. User:Kylejumper has engaged in an editing war without following guidelines.
Please review The vandal that wrote "I suck at editing wikipedia entries." on my profile is as trustworthy as the vandal that is editing the David Harmer and Jerry McNerney entries. for POV and poor citations. If you compare his changes on Jerry McNerney you will find there are POV statements. Kylejumper does not incorporate what is on the web page he cites, just selective phrases. That category is much more extensive that is shown there. For American politics it is important to have all the facts. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Demshield (talk • contribs) 00:38, 30 October 2010 (UTC)
List of The Suite Life on Deck episodes
I'm not sure why these IPs are going to so much trouble to change the writers and directors. I have all of the episodes on my server so it was a fairly easy exercise to confirm that everyone of the changes they've made are wrong. --AussieLegend (talk) 22:04, 23 November 2010 (UTC)
How to link
Good afternoon.
Please can you advise how to link Patrick Waugh to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pop_(fashion_magazine) as he is the art director and we would like to confirm his position on Wikipedia, as well as make his Patrick Waugh wikipedia page permanent.
Kind regards

Help with vandalism
Hi, I saw that you recently warned a user about his behaviour on the project (User talk:Co3yy). However, I noticed several examples of vandalism by this user (e.g. Eric Campbell Geddes) and was wondering if you could tell me what the appropriate actions would be now or maybe even put them into effect. I don't have a lot of experience with wikipedia in general and these things in particular, so I thought you might be the person to talk to. Thanks. PINTofCARLING (talk) 17:51, 2 December 2010 (UTC)
Help with deleted page

Thomas Esposito
You just reverted this article to a version that although being a sub-stub is still factually incorrect. Congrats. I've been working with several admins on this. I guess I'll just have to take it to AfD if the admins can't help me out and delete it themselves. PBF1974 (talk) 15:57, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
- Yeah, fair enough for now, I suppose, although it is still unsourced yet totally true. It still violates WP:BLP, but it's not as nasty or wrong as it was. I'm going to back off on this matter until the admins I have contacted can resolve it for me. If the article can't be deleted or courtesy blanked and salted, I'll just have to let Mr. Esposito himself handle it, if he cares to. My impression of the man tells me that he would either do nothing and try to ignore it, or he would go the legal route and have his legal counsel (probably bro or sis) talk to Wikipedia's counsel and take care of it peacefully behind the scenes. I may actually have to contact him to let him know how he stands with regard to Wikipedia policies, which I know fairly well, but I don't know him, so I'm just going to back off and wait. PBF1974 (talk) 17:05, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
- PBF1974, as the admin you contacted, I am not going to resolve this to your satisfaction, contrary to your hopes above. I'm a volunteer busy doing other things. Please follow the instructions I gave you at User talk:PBF1974 to get this matter looked into. --A. B. (talk • contribs) 17:36, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Supporting Defamation
Defamation is illegal, please be sure your "reverts" are not promoting defamation. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.163.255.25 (talk • contribs) 04:23, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
Thank you, we had concern over the term "vandalism" by our members, as we viewed it simply as a difference of opinions, however, this clears up our issue. (134.163.255.25 (talk) 04:31, 8 December 2010 (UTC))
Thank you, yes, I understand after reviewing how wikipedia works. I also see that you were just doing your administrator duties. You have a great page going here. We have had problems on other sights involving interests, and negative writing, but I can see that is not the case here, I'm sure you understand :) Everything on this end is done in good intentions, as I'm sure yours is also. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 134.163.255.25 (talk) 05:04, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
St Kilda editor
Hello C.Fred. I am inclined to block User:AAC1996 as a sock of User:BrianBeahr. Do you disagree? Here is the background:
- BrianBeahr (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
- AAC1996 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log)
- Category:Wikipedia sockpuppets of BrianBeahr
- Category:Suspected Wikipedia sockpuppets of BrianBeahr
- WP:Sockpuppet investigations/BrianBeahr/Archive
The common element is the constant editing of St Kilda articles with no regard for consensus (and the denial of being BrianBeahr). Thanks, EdJohnston (talk) 04:52, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
- Thanks to the diff you found, I would be more inclined to put him in the 'Confirmed' sock category :-). EdJohnston (talk) 05:07, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
Proposed new Yazino page ready for a review
Hi C.Fred hope you're well. We've had another go on a new wikipedia page for 'Yazino'. I created it in my user space and would like to send it live as soon as I possibly can: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Kat4PR
Can you please review it and give me some feedback? I am more than happy to work on this with you.
The page 'Yazino' has been taken down before - this is a chat you had with my colleague Phil here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Theredrocket#Recreating_an_article_on_Yazino
P.S.: I'd also like to add Yazino's company logo...not sure how to do it at the moment.
Please let me know Cheers,

BLP
Yes, I know all that. I read the policies, as any reasonable person would do. It's really rather insulting to my intelligence to post boilerplate on my talk page. I'd really prefer you email me, and I think I made that clear at the top of the talk page. This is an extremely sensitive issue, and I quit. I tried to make the article truthful by telling the whole story. The current entry contains lies by omission which, as I'm sure a smart guy like you would know, are still lies. PBF1974 (talk) 16:06, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
- Fred, I spent some time looking at articles on Esposito and posted links to them on the talk page. Everything PBF1974 has written is verifiable based on those sources; I suspect he's probably unfamiliar with the technical arcana of our citation templates. I suggest we cut him some slack and work with him on the article talk page, letting him do the research and writing, with the more experienced of us helping with the wiki-specific clean up. The fact is that the most notable thing about Esposito is his work on behalf of the FBI as a "sting candidate", not his paying a $6500 bar tab for someone else. The changes PBF1974 are a definite improvement in substance, if not necessarily wikiness.
- --A. B. (talk • contribs) 16:20, 8 December 2010 (UTC)
- That's why I told him he needs to provide sources to back them up, rather than just say they're verifiable. I agree that his work as a sting candidate makes him notable and warrants mention in the article; however, it's a claim that BLP requires to be backed up by reliable sources. I do not feel that the story about the Kennedy election is relevant to Esposito—though if it's covered in another Wikipedia article, a one-sentence mention and a link to that article would be appropriate. —C.Fred (talk) 16:35, 8 December 2010 (UTC)

But the entire article from the Irish times '10 was about the cycle..... I can't cite everything in the time they( the Mods) seem to give after creation of the page.....
Mpodonohoe (talk) 22:46, 10 December 2010 (UTC)mpodonohoeMpodonohoe (talk) 22:46, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
- Not the link you gave above (http://www.irishtimes.com/newspaper/breaking/2010/0813/breaking26.html). The only thing mentioned was a fragment of a sentence: "On the sporting front, there's racing at Tramore and Dundalk, the hurling All-Ireland minor and senior semi-finals at Croke Park, the Tour de Munster cycling event in Co Cork and the Tomás Mulligan Memorial Cycle from Dublin to Wexford and back." Nine words. —C.Fred (talk) 23:08, 10 December 2010 (UTC)
Sorry my mistake.... Irish Times....Irish Examiner. You are of course correct.... On the other hand Irish Examiner, corks 96fm and spin south west gave been our media partners of the last number of years, I personally think somewhat to the detriment of coverage in the other national papers...
So radio coverage along with high profile coverage in the Irish Examiner and Tv coverage every year except 2009 does not do it for Wiki...

Hi. Thanks for your adition to the 'pages is need of attention' list at WP:WPSCHOOLS. The irony is, that in spite of 327 so called project members, I'm the only Wikipedian actively working as caretaker of that project! I need all the help I can get there, because even the bots are down and I also have to find time micro-manage another Wikipedia project, and also clean up NPPfrom the bottom of the pit.--Kudpung (talk) 03:55, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Considering the article he just created, I think a welcome is wasted on him... HalfShadow 06:07, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
- I think that, unless the user is getting a 4im warning, a welcome is useful. It provides some direction on how to do things the right way, and it removes the "nobody told me" defence for having read the key guidelines. —C.Fred (talk) 06:10, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
- Though having looked at the deleted edits of this user, I think the uw-voablock template was more called for here than welcome. —C.Fred (talk) 06:14, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
- Eh, it's a gift. Vandal-sense. You should see it; these squiggly lines come out of my head. Scares the crap out of anyone who sees it. HalfShadow 06:15, 11 December 2010 (UTC)
Cheers
Thanks for that. I occasionally forget that there's more than one Newcastle (deliberately ambiguous). :) -Danjel (talk) 14:02, 13 December 2010 (UTC)
Advice on CfD
Fred, could you take a look at this CfD and give me some advice? I recognize that I should have tagged each and every sub-sub-subcat, but no one is making an argument for why they want to keep the useless category. It was poorly populated, duplicative, and surely overcategorization. If I am just flat-out dead wrong, I can accept that, but I would rather an admin take a look and advise me. Thanks!!!! jsfouche ☽☾Talk 23:40, 14 December 2010 (UTC)
External links
RE: [24] Please read Wikipedia:External_links#Official_links "Minimize the number of links If the subject of the article has more than one official website, then more than one link may be appropriate. However, Wikipedia does not provide a comprehensive web directory to every official website. Wikipedia does not attempt to document or provide links to every part of the subject's web presence or provide readers with a handy list of all social networking sites. Complete directories lead to clutter and to placing undue emphasis on what the subject says.
More than one official link should be provided only when the additional links provide the reader with unique content and are not prominently linked from other official websites." Active Banana (bananaphone 00:31, 15 December 2010 (UTC)
