Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. One of the core policies of Wikipedia is that articles should always be written from a neutral point of view. A contribution you made to Strip search prank call scam appears to carry a non-neutral point of view, and your edit may have been changed or reverted to correct the problem. Please remember to observe this important core policy. Thank you. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 23:06, 12 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add commentary or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Strip search prank call scam. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Interpretations like "it is obvious she would have seen what was happening," "apparently," and "showing further lack of regard for the victim" are not neutral—unless the interpretations are attributed to a judge, attorney, newspaper columnist, or other party outside of Wikipedia. —C.Fred (talk) 05:26, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Username concerns

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username (AccuracyOfficer) may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because it suggests you hold an official position with Wikipedia and is thus confusing. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may file for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account and use that for editing. Thank you.

If you assert again that you are "Wikipedia's Accuracy Officer" in a talk page message, you will be blocked immediately. —C.Fred (talk) 05:14, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Quoting the username policy: "The types of names which can be misleading are too numerous to list, but definitely include usernames that imply you are in a position of authority over Wikipedia." Continuing, it says "As part of the rule against misleading usernames, your username must not give the impression that your account has permissions which it does not have. Thus it may not contain the terms 'administrator', 'bureaucrat', 'steward', 'checkuser', 'oversight', or similar terms like 'admin', 'sysop' or 'moderator'." The term "officer" falls within the scope of those misleading terms. —C.Fred (talk) 05:23, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to violate Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy by adding commentary and your personal analysis into articles, as you did at Strip search prank call scam, you may be blocked from editing. Please stop making unsubstantiated allegations against subjects of BLPs. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 07:30, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Strip search prank call scam. Users who edit disruptively or refuse to collaborate with others may be blocked if they continue. In particular the three-revert rule states that making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period is almost always grounds for an immediate block. If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the talk page to discuss controversial changes. Work towards wording and content that gains consensus among editors. If unsuccessful then do not edit war even if you believe you are right. Post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. -- Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 07:32, 18 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames that give the impression that the account holds an administrative or similar position on Wikipedia when in reality they don't, I have blocked this account; you are welcome to create a new account with a username that represents only you. If you believe this block is a mistake, please appeal this username block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}. Thank you. Wifione .......
