WikiProject Limnology and Oceanography is a group of editors who aim to improve the reliability and accuracy of Wikipedia pages relating to the study of inland waters and marine environments. If you would like to contribute, please add yourself as a participant in the project, inquire on the talk page, and see the to-do list, below.

Scope

[edit]
Video describing why it is important to contribute aquatic content to Wikipedia.
Video describing how to add aquatic information to Wikipedia

This WikiProject is a collaboration to improve articles relating to inland waters and marine environments, including the study of lakes, ponds, reservoirs, streams, rivers, wetlands, groundwater, estuaries, and oceans. We strive for a diverse editor base and aquatic science topics to help combat common biases in Wikipedia.

Goals

[edit]

Improve articles within the scope of the project through verifiable and objective editing.

Review and assessment

[edit]

Assessment

[edit]

Adopted from WikiProject Molecular and Cell Biology statistics page.

The standard system on wikipedia is for each article to be assigned two grades: one for completeness and another for significance. These grades as assigned to articles by adding and/or updating the {{Wikiproject Limnology and Oceanography|class= |importance= }} template on that article's talk page. If you have improved an article, you may adjust the entry in the template yourself, or you may simply put a remark in the talk page that improvements have been done.
