I am a scientist (PhD) focused on characterizing carbon cycling, biogeochemistry and lower food web processes using optics and remote sensing. I have experience working in rivers, inland lakes, the Great Lakes and coastal ocean. My work predominantly focuses on characterizing spectral variability in colored dissolved organic matter and other aquatic optical constituents, developing algorithms for quantifying specific biogeochemical processes from satellites and considering new approaches for answering complex, non-unique math problems.
