For getting Regine Velasquez to FA status after four years of work. I am happy to see it finally paid off. FrB.TG (talk) 08:10, 22 February 2022 (UTC) |
- Thank you for this recognition FrB.TG, means a lot coming from you, whose work I am a fan of a great deal! You deserve as much credit as well for your valuable reviews on the related articles over the years. P.S. I may have just took inspiration from your userpage to keep track of my work, that's how big a fan I am :) Don't hesitate to shoot me a message if there's anything I can be of help. So glad to see you back on Wiki. Danke schön! Pseud 14 (talk) 14:00, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for the kind words. I am glad that my work here has inspired at least someone. As for help, I kinda need someone to do a source review for DiCaprio FAC. A request for one was placed here more than two weeks ago but it seems to have stalled. Don't worry about it though, I'm sure someone will turn up sooner or later. FrB.TG (talk) 17:55, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
- Hey FrB.TG, in all honesty, I'm probably not the right person to do a source review, as I am completely inexperienced (zero) and have only dabbled on prose/content review in the FAC/FLC space. I also don't want to screw up the DiCaprio FAC as it is on track to getting promoted post source review. I won't ping them here, but it may be worth reaching out to either Nikkimaria, Jo-Jo Eumerus, Ealdgyth, Mike Christie, or Amakuru. I noticed they've been actively participating in the source review drives for outstanding lists in the talk page. Especially because some of them claim points for WikiCup too. Pseud 14 (talk) 19:05, 22 February 2022 (UTC)
- No worries at all. I am sure someone will turn up any day now. Thank you for your response. FrB.TG (talk) 19:16, 22 February 2022 (UTC)

Regine Velasquez scheduled for TFA
[edit]This is to let you know that the Regine Velasquez article has been scheduled as today's featured article for April 22, 2022. Please check the article needs no amendments. If you're interested in editing the main page text, you're welcome to do so at Wikipedia:Today's featured article/April 22, 2022, but note that a coordinator will trim the lead to around 1000 characters anyway, so you aren't obliged to do so.
For Featured Articles promoted recently, there will be an existing blurb linked from the FAC talk page, which is likely to be transferred to the TFA page by a coordinator at some point.
We suggest that you watchlist Wikipedia:Main Page/Errors from the day before this appears on Main Page. Thanks! Jimfbleak - talk to me? 14:19, 7 March 2022 (UTC)

my story today |

Thank you today for Angeline Quinto, introduced: "After a brief break from tackling BLPs and focusing on other music related FACs, I've decided to start working on another Filipino singer. Angeline Quinto began her career after winning a reality talent competition around ten years ago. Since then she has released several albums and has recorded material which has been featured as soundtracks of various films and television series in the Philippines (at least 35 combined), earning her the nickname "Queen of Teleserye Theme Songs". She ventured into acting and has received praise and accolades for her work on film and television."! - I normally place this with the TFA announcement but wow, so much was added since! - Happy on a concert day, - the second this year. We sing the Mozart, and listen to da pacem Domine played by the strings. The video of our last concert is on yt, - see my talk if you are curious, or look for Misatango and Idstein ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 07:56, 26 November 2023 (UTC)

I'm just confirming that this will run at WP:Today's featured article/January 2024 on January 5, the date you requested at WP:TFAP. Feel free to edit or comment after the link turns blue, and let me know if you have any questions. - Dank (push to talk) 04:45, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
- @Dank: oh that’s wonderful thanks! I withheld putting the request as another editor had already submitted one on the date ahead of me. If it’s not stepping on someone else’s toes, I’d be delighted to have the Jan 5 TFA scheduled for Kyla and happy to write the blurb for it. Pseud 14 (talk) 05:16, 26 November 2023 (UTC)
- Certainly you can write the blurb ... it goes on WT:Featured article candidates/Kyla (Filipino singer)/archive1. It's between 925 and 1025 characters, including "(This article is part of a featured topic: Overview of Kyla.)". Don't worry about counting correctly or following rules, just write what you want and I'll probably fiddle with it a bit. - Dank (push to talk) 05:23, 26 November 2023 (UTC)

Today's story mentions a concert I loved to hear (DYK) and a piece I loved to sing in choir, 150 years old (OTD). -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:50, 22 May 2024 (UTC)
Thx for the support. I originally decided to leave out Pinus glabra and Pinus virginiana, but now I think they do meet the criteria, so I added those two rows ... they're just like the other rows but thought you might want to know. - Dank (push to talk) 01:49, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- Appreciate the note Dank. And great addition. Still has my support. Pseud 14 (talk) 02:03, 26 May 2024 (UTC)
- I had a request (more like an offer I couldn't refuse) to merge the Western US and Eastern US lists into one list ... which I did. That adds 7 rows that hadn't previously been reviewed in either the Canada list or the Western US list: Abies fraseri, Chamaecyparis thyoides, Pinus nigra, Pinus pungens, Pinus serotina, Pinus sylvestris and Torreya taxifolia, along some minor copyediting. Does this still look okay? - Dank (push to talk) 19:58, 1 June 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for notifying Dank. I added my comment/support in the nomination page for the revised list. Similarly, I may have a slightly older FLC in need of an extra prose review, If you have the luxury of time and interest. Not to worry if things are busy. Pseud 14 (talk) 20:08, 1 June 2024 (UTC)

FAC review request
[edit]Hi. Just wondering if you can review the FAC for AC/DC, if you can. — VAUGHAN J. (t · c) 06:07, 9 June 2024 (UTC)

- Time has ran out for the FAC unfortunately. :( — VAUGHAN J. (t · c) 21:51, 11 June 2024 (UTC)
- From what I gather Vaughan J., the problem wasn't that it ran out of time, but that the article has problems with source-to-text fidelity based on the spotchecks performed on many sources. There could have been 2-3 more prose reviews/support and the nomination would still fail because of that. Fixing this would have to be done off-FAC since you will need to check every source to make sure that it supports the relevant text. I would suggest double-checking each of your sources and resolving those issues, and inviting Ajpolino to revisit and do spotchecks (preferably in the talk page or at a PR), before you re-nominate. [edit]FAC review for Windswept Adan
[edit]Hi Pseud 14! I've recently opened up an FAC nomination for Windswept Adan, and I'm seeking experienced editors who can provide unbiased feedback on prose and/or source checks. I've recognized you as someone who has a proclivity for and expertise in writing quality music-related articles (the extensive coverage of Philippine artists is something I must thank you for as a kabayan - not sure if I used that correctly), and I believe that my nomination could use some impartial scrutiny in order to meet FA expectations. Of course, you are in no way obligated to conduct a review if you do not feel the topic is something of interest to you, and as it is a recent listing, you are at liberty to refuse as I can and likely should learn to be a bit more patient with the process. Feel free to let me know what you think about this, and I hope you have an amazing week ahead of you! joeyquism (talk) 23:35, 17 June 2024 (UTC)
- Hey Joeyquism, congrats on your first FAC nomination and best of luck! Sure, I'd be happy to have look in the next day or so, if not, no later than the weekend. It seems you're still looking good time-wise as it hasn't been a week yet since the nomination. As an FYI, FACs can generally be as short as 3-4 weeks or sometimes as long as two months or more, depending on what comes up during the reviews. So expect either scenario and definitely more patience. But it does appear it's going in the right direction. Pseud 14 (talk) 00:33, 18 June 2024 (UTC)
- Sounds great! Thank you so much for your response, and I look forward to hearing from you in the coming days! Have a great rest of your day :) joeyquism (talk) 01:21, 18 June 2024 (UTC)

Thank you today for the article, introduced: "After previously working on a Filipino music BLP of a band, here's my next work on singer and actress Rachelle Ann Go. She began her career in pop music after winning a talent show in the Philippines, before transitioning to musical theatre. Some of her earlier roles on stage include Ariel from The Little Mermaid and Jane Porter from Tarzan. She had her international breakthrough portraying a hardened bargirl in the 2014 West End revival of Miss Saigon, reprising the part on Broadway in 2017. She followed this with more prominent roles on West End, playing Fantine in Les Misérables and Eliza Schuyler in Hamilton."! - On Alma Mahler's birthday ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 05:14, 31 August 2024 (UTC)
