Regine Velasquez

[edit]

Hello:

The copy edit that you requested from the Guild of Copy Editors of the article Regine Velasquez has been completed.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

I have a couple of suggestions to make to help shorten the article's length. In the Legacy section, some of the musicians who claim she is an influence may be more or less important than others. This list could be dramatically shortened to six or so names.

The Honors and Awards section could simply be a list, in chronological order, like the Discography. You don't need text since the awards are explained where they are first mentioned.

Regards,

Hello @Twofingered Typist: thanks for the work you put into copy-editing the article. I found reading through your edits very useful at the same time. On your suggestions:
  • I have a couple of suggestions to make to help shorten the article's length. In the Legacy section, some of the musicians who claim she is an influence may be more or less important than others. This list could be dramatically shortened to six or so names.
- You make a good point, I'll definitely take out a whole bunch of names from the list.
  • The Honors and Awards section could simply be a list, in chronological order, like the Discography. You don't need text since the awards are explained where they are first mentioned.
- Her 'list of awards and nominations' entry was redirected to the her main article following a consensus last 2013, I recently spoke to an admin involved and he unsalted the article so I could work on improving the entry. Will start working on it in a few days. I figured, since majority of the awards are mentioned in the lead, I did resort to make it textual so I could cite my sources under the 'Honers and awards' section. It is being peer reviewed at the moment and this might also be a topic of discussion, and a list is not something I'm opposed to doing.

Thanks again for your help, I do hope for a future article/entry I put up for a copy-edit, I could seek your help again. Pseud 14 (talk) 04:42, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I understand what you mean about the list - perhaps it's best to leave it as is but remove any specifically mentioned in the article like Box Office Queen. Heading could then be changed to Other honors and awards. Good luck. Twofingered Typist (talk) 13:25, 20 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of awards and nominations received by Regine Velasquez, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jaya (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
