The Lives of Winston Churchill and Alfred Milner
Original Research (OR): I reviewed the above article on OR and believe you may be mistaken. It is cited by 24 references and 35 footnotes, and wherever possible linked to the Internet Archive. Every bit of it is credible. Please refresh yourself with wikipedia's original research policy: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:No_original_research My pseudonym: I am not related to Alfred Milner in any way, and the article shows no bias. We share the same last name, and if there is a family connection, is over two centuries old. Sincerely, Lord Milner (talk) 11:25, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- Never claimed you had a COI, but there are numerous examples of WP:SYNTH. Just one example is the line about them both being workaholics. That may indeed be true, but I doubt either of the sources referenced states that both of them were. More likely one states Milner was and the other that Churchill was, and you've synthesized the conclusion that they both were. That's original research. And the article is full of examples like that. Further down in that section, there is a paragraph which starts out colleagues, which is both uncited, and again is full of SYNTH. Onel5969 TT me 11:52, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
Under construction
Thanks for explaining your intervention and quick followup on Adam Clark Vroman. After your suggestion, I chose the Under construction template as better suited to what I anticipate will happen next. (This was sparked by my husband's indignation at A.C. Vroman not having a page in English besides his undeniably notable bookstore. On my part it was procrastination thinly disguised by an intellectual exercise: first use of the WP Translation tool in a mainspace article, first CS:EN translation via GoogleTranslate (as that pair isn't supported inside WP). Vroman the man does have well-established notability per his Wikidata item (with four dozen identifiers!). Some suggestions for further work are listed on the Talk page. A tribute to my former hometown, Los Angeles. Cheers! -- Deborahjay (talk) 13:12, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- Ah, yes, I should have mentioned the under construction template as an alternative. But you'll need 3 references which go in-depth about him from independent, reliable sources to show he meets notability criteria. Also, I removed a few of the links you had in the External links section. If a site has an official website, then their social media sites should not also be included. When you're done, if you want me to take another look, feel free to ping me. Onel5969 TT me 16:29, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
🙄
I can't believe all the effort you put into throwing my translation work away instead of looking up… what, you wanted *one* more reference? That would've been easily found. But you clearly didn't even try. It honestly blows my mind how much time it seems to me you'd rather spend trying to delete stuff than actually help improve an article, which would have taken far less time. Anyway now we finally have an article — that is an actual contribution to Wikipedia. Thanks for nothing! Excelsiorsbanjo (talk) 16:20, 1 December 2022 (UTC)

Copyvio accusation on Bruno Platter
Good afternoon, I noticed that you redirected the article on Bruno Platter and copyvio-ed all of my revisions on the article. There was no plagiarism on the article and I actually reworded numerous phrases in the article (the original versions are probably more infringing than my revisions). IIRC, there were around 8 sources on said article spread throughout the article, many of them being used on other language Wikipedias. As such I believe that you are mistaken in claiming that these edits violated copyright. Knightoftheswords281 (talk) 22:28, 1 December 2022 (UTC)

TWD characters
Hello again Onel. Hope you are keeping well! I’ve noticed lately that there was quite a few articles created for minor characters in The Walking Dead recently e.g. Dante, who I can’t even remember. I think there are far too many articles already for TWD characters, and adding these insignificant, minor characters into the mix isn’t necessary imo. AfD??? The Optimistic One (talk) 23:32, 1 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hi. Always a pleasure. Don't know how successful an AfD would be. There are a concerted cadre of editors who will !vote keep just because they are fans of the show (and when I say, I'm saying regardless of which show the character is from). And you will always find references in trade magazines which deal with recaps of episodes. Like the Dante article you reference, the two best in-depth coverage, from Forbes.com and insider.com are non-reliable sources, and the other 3 are simply dealing with in-universe stuff. But I'm in the minority, I think. I like to look at WP as an actual encyclopedia, and not just another wiki. Personally, I don't think any fictional character should have an article unless there is scholarly academic material which goes in-depth about them. To me, the Dante article doesn't come close to showing real-world notability. No one's going to remember many, if any of the characters on TWD 20 years from now. Sorry, didn't mean to go on like that, but I made an attempt a couple of years ago to push back on some of these types of articles, and got weary of the struggle. Onel5969 TT me 01:47, 2 December 2022 (UTC)
- I understand. And I used to be different where I used to see a benefit to having loads of articles for characters but now I see it differently. On my favourite TV series, I like to keep an eye on them from time to time, and improve them but when there are far too many like there is in TWD, I find it hard. It seems like every character has they’re very own article, makes it feel more like Wikia. The Optimistic One (talk) 11:24, 2 December 2022 (UTC)
- Just to let you know, Spencer Monroe's article has zero sources, so that should be redirected straight away. I would normally do it, but I’m on holidays at the moment. I’d say a good five or six other articles would be easily redirected if an AfD is created for them. I’ll try and do them when I get back. The Optimistic One (talk) 17:16, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks. I see another NPPer has marked Dante as reviewed. I've redirected Spencer Monroe for now. Onel5969 TT me 19:40, 6 December 2022 (UTC)

Lodz city VS Expo 2024
I don't understand why the Expo 2024 page would redirect to the Polish city of Lodz. There is no such event as Expo 2024.
Since I am unable to delete that redirect page, I simply removed the redirect. If you know how to do it, could you delete the Expo 2024 page? Cheers Nyoome
- Hi Nyoome - it doesn't just direct to the city article, but to a specific section of that article, "Horticultural Expo 2029", which talks about Expo 2024. It does appear to be a viable redirect imho. However, if you disagree, you can always submit it to RfD; you can do that either using Twinkle, or follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Redirects for discussion#How to list a redirect for discussion. Speedy deletion nomination of Crime Ring (disambiguation)
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Crime Ring (disambiguation) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G14 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a disambiguation page which either
- disambiguates only one extant Wikipedia page and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic);
- disambiguates zero extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title; or
- is an orphaned redirect with a title ending in "(disambiguation)" that does not target a disambiguation page or page that has a disambiguation-like function.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. You recently made a page I created, Centre Slush Puppie, into a redirect, citing notability guidelines. I would make the argument the page meets the guidelines, considering that every other Canadian Hockey League venue has an article. Hcoder3104☭ (💬) 20:09, 4 December 2022 (UTC)
- WP:OSE isn't really a valid argument. In order to show notability you need at least three in-depth references from independent, reliable, secondary sources. Your article had none, a press release and a link to the center's site. Onel5969 TT me 22:36, 4 December 2022 (UTC)
Hello, Onel5969, thank you for the review here. Though, personally I'm a bit unsure how this is notable though, the award nomination (not a win) seems fairly minor, whereas the other refs seem to be quite routine announcements, I also doubt that 1, 2, 3, 4 are RS, seems like celebrity gossipy sites with little editorial policies. Additional sources on Emilis Velyvis to support notability
Dear Onel5969,
I have added two additional references, one of them from yet a fourth independent, reliable, secondary source, a newspaper Kauno Diena. The new additions are not interviews. Now we have a total of three non-interviews from independent and reliable sources. I believe I must have eliminated your doubts about Emilis Velyvis' notability.
It is not impossible for me to reference the discussion on the Talk:Emilis_Vėlyvis#Silver_Crane_award_effect_on_notability as outlined in the Help:Maintenance_template_removal to remove the notability tag itself. To repeat, Wikipedia guidance on award notability states, The award may be presumed notable by meeting general notability guidelines when: 1) It is granted by a nation and the award is at the level of the highest and most prestigious awards that can be granted by that nation. Further, Wikipedia:Awards and accolades explains, Awards with their own article (e.g. Academy Award for Best Actor) are presumptively appropriate for inclusion, both for winners and often for nominees. The consensus of the award aspect discussion is, you disagree, I agree, and two other editors (David and Maxim) either agree or tend to agree.
But first, I feel indebted to ask you,
1) Will you object to me removing the notability tag?
2) Will you kindly yourself remove the notability tag?
The question of the effect of a national filmmaking industry award may and likely will remain open to decide on articles beyond Emilis Velyvis alone.
Thank you for your patient attention and participation to improve Wikipedia,
Yours, Tom Ttk371 (talk) 11:19, 5 December 2022 (UTC)
Monica Cyrino
Hello Onel5969, I don't think that it is acceptable to repeatedly tag a Wikipedia page (Monica Cyrino) as not meeting notability criteria without explanation when this is clearly not a consensus issue. These tags are not constructive. It would be a better use of time to improve the page to demonstrate the subject's notability. How does the subject not meet the notability criteria? Thanks very much, Srsval (talk) 17:10, 6 December 2022 (UTC)
- I have no interest in the subject, therefore have no interest in working on it. The person may or may not be notable. Currently, they do not meet GNG standards. A claim that they pass WP:NACADEMIC is problematic. As they don't easily pass those standards either, as they do not meet any of the 7 criteria. Onel5969 TT me 19:24, 6 December 2022 (UTC)

I wanted to drop a real quick thank-you for reviewing the recent stub articles I created to help bring the neglected second-order administrative divisions of Iran into the light. I have a couple of years ahead of me to improve the other 450 counties and have made quite a bit of headway (and some head-scratching along the way). Reviews
Good evening from down under. Thanks for reviewing some of my articles. I noted you tagged Elijah Tsatas and Cameron Mackenzie for notability.
Please note I have removed these tags per WP:WTRMT 3 – template does not belong. Significant coverage in WP:RS is apparent through a basic Google search and so both players meet WP:GNG. Further, per WP:ATHLETE “people who have competed at the fully professional level of a sport” are notable. Subject are team members of Australia’s national football league which is the highest professional level.
While both had at least two RS included, I do concede I didn’t include all the coverage out there. Given the above, please will you consider re-reviewing them and marking as reviewed if comfortable doing so?
Thanks and good day!

However, they both clearly meet WP:NACTOR. So I think tagging them is warranted. Onel5969 TT me 10:41, 9 December 2022 (UTC)

@Onel5969 Many items of information are derived from Wikipedia articles. I had given the links of the articles of wikipedia from where I derived the information like 2006 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly election. Is there any need for giving citation of those items of information? I had added the information after verifying them from different articles of wikipedia and other resources. I did not add any speculative thing. I have added many citations and submitted it for review please check it. I am adding more citations if possible. XYZ 250706 (talk) 06:05, 9 December 2022 (UTC)
- Here is the issue, the entire context of the article is WP:OR. While the article does talk about temporary alliances formed from time to time, my audit of the references did not show that there is a cohesive "Left Front" in India. There are regional organizations which use that name, but not one single overriding group, which is what the article suggests. I think you should follow Rosguill's advice, "While Left wing politics in India would be a notable topic, the article as written synthesizes a list of alliances without reference to any sources grouping these coalitions as a whole. I would recommend reorganizing this as a prose article about the history of the Left in India" I would recommend renaming the article something like History of left wing politics in India, or something similar, and talk about all the different alliances that have occurred throughout the years and in the different regions. Disambiguation and notability
Hello @Onel5969,
I'd like to create an article on a 2018 Kosovar film, Nëntori i ftohtë. The English language title is Cold November. Coincidentally, an American film with the same title was released in March 2018, although it premiered in 2017 at the Woodstock Film Festival. On Rotten Tomatoes, IMDb, and a number of other "sources", it is listed as a 2017 film. Should we consider it as such? If not, how do I proceed with a disambiguation?

Greetings. Articles about music bands are not part of the scope of Wikipedia:WikiProject Music/Music genres task force and do not need to be marked with {{WikiProject Music/Music genres task force}} template. Section headers and layout / splitting article
Hello @Onel5969,
How would you reorganize this article? There are supposedly "too many section headers dividing up its content" since most of them are very short subsections with only 1-3 sentences. Would creating a few "region" subsections (Europe, Africa, Asia-Pacific) without additional country subsections be a good way to proceed? I would keep "United States" and "United Kingdom" as separate subsections due to the length of the paragraphs.
Also, could you take a look at Ashkali and Balkan Egyptians? Over a year ago, a contributor brought up the topic of creating a separate page for each ethnic group on the article's talk page, but nobody ever joined the discussion. Should I start a new discussion on the talk page and invite certain editors who might find an interest in the subject matter, or should I just proceed with making sure each ethnic group has its own page?
Thanks for your time! Mooonswimmer 13:18, 13 December 2022 (UTC)
- In answer to your first question, that's easy. Simply convert each country into a bullet point, with any text below it. In other words, the countries become a list, instead of each one having its own subsection. Regarding your second questions, WP:BOLD would apply. It would be different if there were objections to the idea of splitting the article, but no one objected, so go for it.Onel5969 TT me 13:29, 13 December 2022 (UTC)

Need to do a better job
Onel, yesterday you posted on my page that you moved the article Alaskan Creole people to drafts, directly after two months of it being public on Wikipedia and already having a considerable amount of good sourced material; the following quote is your reasoning why you moved it to drafts:
"I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. I did this rather than removing the uncited material in the article, which I felt would be more disruptive."
I recommend next time rather than being uncommunicative and timid about the perceived "disruption" of an article, that you either communicate effectively on the talk page of the article, boldly remove the unsourced content, or simply place a "citation needed" tag. You can't expect an editor to know what is in your mind nor have knowledge of your concerns if you choose to remain silent.
I responded to your post yesterday, to which you still haven't replied back to me yet:
All of the information in that article is from other articles in Wikipedia, so while you're putting that article into a draft, you should also move all the other articles that the information was copied from to draft space too as apparently they don't fit "veritability."
XXXXX
In regards to the information of the Alaskan Creole people article, the majority of its composition came particularly from the two articles Russian America & Promyshlenniki, with bits of information interspersed from Starozhily, Ninilchik, Alaska, and Kodiak, Alaska; there may be other articles i'm missing, but I don't have access anymore to the history of the Alaskan Creole people article to verify this.
I had the Administrator UtherSRG delete the Alaskan Creole people draft; your quick decision to move the article to a draft state indicated that the information within wasn't worth keeping public. I have also moved the two primary articles that composed the article, Russian America & Promyshlenniki to drafts so that you can do your job better and ensure that the information within them is worthy of public view. Harry C. Hindmarsh
I see that you placed a peacock tag on the new article I created about one of Canada's most influential journalists and newspaper executives. I removed a few words and I'm wondering if the tag can also be removed. Everything in this article is backed up with citations from reputable sources. I think it is no longer accurate to say that it promotes the subject in a subjective manner without imparting real information. Bwark (talk) 19:35, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
- Yes, you've done a nice job on the peacock terms, but phrases like "competitive instincts and talent for spotting, then publishing, powerful photos", "into one of Canada's most financially successful and politically influential daily newspapers", and "including his passion for social justice", should not be said in WP's voice. These types of praise and commentary need to be turned into neutral phrasing. For example, the first sentence should read something like, "Harry Comfort Hindmarsh (January 13, 1887 – December 20, 1956) was a reporter, editor and newspaper executive under whose leadership the Toronto star grew into one of the most financially successful newspapers in Canada." Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 21:33, 18 December 2022 (UTC)
- Obviously you have not reviewed the citations. For example, the phrasing "competitive instincts and talent for spotting, then publishing, powerful photos," is a paraphrase of one of my main sources, the noted Canadian journalist and popular historian, Pierre Berton. As an American, you may not have heard of him, but in Canada, he's considered an authority on Canadian journalism in the period when Harry Hindmarsh was an executive editor at the Star. And, as a retired journalism professor myself who taught the history of journalism at the University of King's College for 15 years, I know that this statement is accurate. Please check this citation for yourself to determine if the paraphrase of it "promotes the subject in a subjective manner without imparting real information." And before you check the citation, please consider your own subjectivity in determining what is and isn't "WP's voice." I would argue that Wikipedia articles require background to provide our readers with the context they need to understand complex subjects: https://archive.macleans.ca/article/1952/4/1/hindmarsh-of-the-star Bwark (talk) 00:17, 19 December 2022 (UTC)
- Obviously, you did not read what I wrote. It does not matter that those phrases are in the citations. They should not be used in an article as WP's voice. You are stating an opinion, however authoritative, as fact. Please see WP:WIKIVOICE. Onel5969 TT me 01:38, 19 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for your feedback and guidance. I appreciate your efforts. I took your advice and reviewed, Wikipedia: Neutral Point of View. It is certainly helpful. I'm familiar with NPOV having worked for 20 years as an editor and reporter with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation. NPOV was an obsession there. For example, CBC reporters were not allowed to use the words "I think" in on-air debriefs. "CBC reporters don't think, they just report the facts," our managers used to say. Fortunately, the policy has been relaxed a bit in the last decade and perhaps Wikipedia editors will learn to recognize informed reporting based on verifiable sources, especially when there's a consensus view. Yes, it's fine to report that under Harry Hindmarsh's leadership, the Toronto Star grew into one of the most financially successful newspapers in Canada. But what leadership did he provide to achieve that success? I notice that NPOV says explicitly that there are three fundamental principles and core content policies and all must be considered jointly to determine the type and quality of material acceptable in Wikipedia articles, and because they work in harmony, they should not be interpreted in isolation from one another. NPOV, verifiability and lack of original research. I'm guided by those principles in everything I contribute. I think it is a mistake to focus solely on words --- the so-called "peacock" ones you're calling me out on. The three principles work together and must be considered together. Let me just say in closing that I've been a contributor since 2007. I worked months on my first feature article on Harold Innis which became a Wikipedia featured article of the day. I had a lot of help from other editors, all of it encouraging and constructive. Nowadays, the help tends to be discouraging. Before December 7th, Wikipedia had no entry on Harry C. Hindmarsh. I created one and ever since, I've been dealing with criticisms. First the big conflict over the public domain photo (So far, I've prevailed) and now the peacock tag that appeared with no consultation undermining the credibility of my work on this new article. I had been planning to expand the entry, but now, I'm not so sure my work would be welcomed. Bwark (talk) 12:56, 19 December 2022 (UTC)

Leyden Publishing
Hi Onel5969
I do not understand the "Multiple issues" you have just placed on this article
- A. Notability issues. Surely a publishing house that has products in just about every primary school in Australia is notable?
- B. This is not a biography, though it does have a few biographical details on the founder, explaining why he set up the publishing company and how he operated it.
- C. Of 22 references given, I see only 2 that are primary, namely [8,15]. These are hard to avoid. To what do you refer?
- D. Which of these references is "not reliable"? Worldcat and National Library are references very commonly used throughout wikipedia and regarded as highly reliable.
Redabyss1 (talk) 12:35, 23 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hi. Fact one is irrelevant. What establishes notability is in-depth sourcing from independent, reliable, secondary sources. Of which the article had none, from what I remember. I tagged it with both company and bio, since the lead is for a bio of the individual, but the article is about the company, and while I thought you probably were writing an article about the company, I was not quite positive. It's okay to have info on people involved with the company, but they should be down in the body of the article, usually in a section regarding the founding, or in a "Founder(s)" section. Regarding C, you're correct in your assessment of primary sources, but those are the only two which go somewhat in-depth about the company. Regarding D, using another Wiki is not a reliable source. Hope this helps. Onel5969 TT me 13:40, 23 December 2022 (UTC)
Marvel oversized hardcovers
Hi...I was made aware of this issue last night. Apologies as this was my first Wikipedia article, and I definitely dropped the ball on including citations. I'm curious as to your thoughts on how much citation would be appropriate for an article like this? I've added several citations (including supporting images) for the intro paragraphs, but most of the page consists of a table of approximately 600 books. Do those all need individual citations? They do all have ISBN numbers which should allow them to be looked up by any user. Anyway...I appreciate your time reviewing the article in the first place. I hope you have a happy holiday season! Jjreader545 (talk) 17:23, 23 December 2022 (UTC)
- Actually, I think there are enough citations there as per WP:VERIFY. Where the issue lies is with the in-depth coverage to show that this is notable. You need at least 3 in-depth sources from independent, reliable, secondary sources. It's a very well-structured article, but it lacks those in-depth sources. Onel5969 TT me 15:38, 24 December 2022 (UTC)
- Appreciate the feedback! I've tried to include more secondary sources on my draft version and submitted it for review. I'm hopeful that will move it closer to establishing notability. Jjreader545 (talk) 14:03, 26 December 2022 (UTC)

Hi, not questioning that the author does have a COI, and I have nothing to do with the article, but just for my edification could you explain your comment about an obvious link to the subject? I am not seeing it, but I don't usually swim in these waters. Just wondering what it is that I am not seeing. Elinruby (talk) 13:25, 25 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hi. Reviewers don't really publish what we look for when reviewing that gives us a clue to UPE/COI. That only helps those editors get around our reviews. And I'm not the most adept at uncovering UPE/COI, it has to be pretty blatant for me to see it, there are other reviewers much better than I at recognizing it. However, would be more than happy to share with such an experienced editor off-wiki, if you email me. Oh, and Merry Christmas! Onel5969 TT me 13:33, 25 December 2022 (UTC)
Undraftifying NER Class Z
Hello, I’m Ilovejames5. You might not be pleased about this, but I have undraftified [[NER Class Z] since there are articles with less citations yet they aren’t draftified. Sorry about messing with you (especially during Christmas).Ilovejames5 16:14, 25 December 2022 (UTC)
- Not sure how they can have less, since there is only a single one in this article. And not a single footnote. Currently, it does not meet notability criteria. But no worries, about undraftifying, which was done so you could work on it uninterupted. But if it isn't corrected it'll probably end up at AfD. And Merry Christmas to you as well. Not sure why you moved an article to Draft without following good practice
Please read WP:DRAFTIFY. "As a matter of good practice, the editor moving a page to draft should mark its talk page with the tags of any relevant projects as a means of soliciting improvements from interested editors." Yet, you left the talk page completely blank. Please follow good practice. JasonMacker (talk) 15:35, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
- Have no idea what you're talking about, but if it is Draft:2022 China-Arab States Summit, the talk page already had the pertinent projects. I suggest you take your own advice. Onel5969 TT me 15:40, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
- "the talk page already had the pertinent projects." You seem to be confused. You may want to look at who put those project tags in place, as well as when they were added. Spoiler: it was me, after I noticed you failed to follow good practice. Not sure what "advice" you suggest I take, considering that it was you that did not follow good practice on WP:DRAFTIFY, not me, leaving me to have to clean up your mess. JasonMacker (talk) 16:02, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
Notability
Hello. You made this edit and this edit to a pair of new articles, extracted from a parent article. I’m trying to add sources to show notability but having read WP:SIRS, I’m a little unsure about a couple of things. Do news articles count as secondary sources for this purpose? For example, I added this bit about an operation where troops from the unit were involved and are mentioned including some words attributed to a spokesperson. The reporting organisation is ARY TV, which I assume is a good source. The thing is, how much depth does it have to go into? Also, is there a minimum number of such sources before we can safely say notability is demonstrated? Sorry for bombarding you with questions. Gedrose (talk) 18:07, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
- Good faith questions are never a bother. But there are several issues with what you are asking. References can be broken down into lots of different categories depending on what you are talking about. E.g. what's a primary, secondary or tertiary source; what's independent or not, etc. Then there are also what sources can be used for. For example, you can use certain primary sources to satisfy WP:VERIFY, but not to satisfy WP:NOTABILITY. Having said all that, to get to your questions, news articles can be either primary or secondary sources, but are usually considered secondary sources by most editors. The source you listed, however, since it is really quoting a spokesperson is a primary source, so you could use it to verify something, but does not really go to notability. Regarding Ary News, there hasn't been a discussion on whether or not the source is reliable, but I do not see anything in this article to suggest they may not be. A rule of thumb is that if an article talks about a subject in-depth for three or more paragraphs, than that's in-depth. Sometimes two paragraphs is enough. A single paragraph is little more than a blurb. It also depends on the source. Something from the Wall Street Journal counts more than something from Scream. Also, it can also depend on what is being covered. Certain Indian newspapers are considered reliable for some things, but are unreliable for anything to do with entertainment. And finally, a safe bet is to have at least 3 in-depth references from independent, secondary, reliable sources to show that something is notable. And that's one of the longest responses I've ever written. . Hope it helps. Onel5969 TT me 19:11, 27 December 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for the detailed reply. I can see it will be a case of looking at each reference individually. Please keep up the good work. It’s highly encouraging to find my brief efforts at articles are being reviewed. ☺️ Gedrose (talk) 21:28, 27 December 2022 (UTC)

- Well, you obviously do not know what GNG is, since you keep restoring an article which clearly does not meet it. Obviously you have formed the opinion that Pendal Group is not notable enough to article which you are well within your rights to do. But as the article has been created on two occasions and edited by a few more editors, appears not clear cut. Per WP:BRD, I have thus reinstated. The subject is one of the 200 largest in Australia with assets of over USD70 billion, not just a [John H. Norton and Company Store|small time corner store]]. That it has been the subject of articles from six separate news organisations does demonstrate a reasonably broad coverage compared to an article largely relying on one government application form. Notability of Champions Chess Tour
I thought that DAB pages/set index articles don't really have the same notability rules as actual articles? The point is just so that when people type that in or links are made to it, people can be pointed to the right article (Champions Chess Tour 2021 or Champions Chess Tour 2022). Endwise (talk) 23:01, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
- You're correct, although I'm not sure it's an SIA. It looks like a stub article, with an SIA tag. Although, admittedly, it's really a grey area. Feel free to remove the tag if you disagree. Onel5969 TT me 23:05, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
- I don't really know if it should be a disambiguation page, set index article, or an actual article (as a stub now); I have no experience with this. I just put the set index tag because I was more or less copying how the Nord Stream article was formatted. Should I just remove the extra line of information with the source, or? Endwise (talk) 23:12, 30 December 2022 (UTC)
- You know, I'm not really sure. There are pages for each of the years, so having an overall article about the annual event makes sense, but then it would need more sourcing. SIA's, to be frank, have always seemed confusing to me. I mean, in essence, I understand them, and I can see that they have some difference from, and yet in some instances some overlap with, dab pages. You might ask a question at Teahouse, or on the project page on how to handle this. Sorry, wish I could be more help. Onel5969 TT me 23:15, 30 December 2022 (UTC)

Within 2 days, 7 of 15 new pages I created were reviewed by you. You're awesome. BUT after one of the pages Joseph Marwa (actor) was reviewed, it's talk page (Talk:Joseph Marwa (actor)) popped up on search engines leaving the main article unindexed, unlikely the other 6 reviewed articles. I didn't know if that was normal or I've done the right thing taking a step to ask. HAVE A NEW YEAR EVE ANUwrites 17:41, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
- Hi. Thanks for the complement. Not sure what's going on with the indexing, that's not something I'm very conversant in. If it persists, you might ask a question at the Teahouse. Onel5969 TT me 18:31, 31 December 2022 (UTC)
Happy New Year, Onel5969!
Onel5969,
