Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted. The source in the note clearly states RPI, not RPI(K). AD(S) color

[edit]

Please don't change the color of AD(S) based on old and outdated flag. The color is not only similar to BJP but also incorrect based on the flag and colors on their socials. Dhruv edits (talk) 15:56, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar)

[edit]

Hello XYZ 250706,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar) for deletion, because it's a redirect from an article title to a namespace that's not for articles.

If you don't want Nationalist Congress Party (Ajit Pawar) to be deleted, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

@User:Marxist Economist Please stop. In Maharashtra election, it was added because of the splits in NCP and Shiv Sena. Their previous election vote percentage are not clear. Besides the alliances of parties are not clear also. But in WB election there is not such problem. Please revert your edit in WB election. XYZ 250706 (talk) 13:16, 12 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Tripura Legislative Assembly, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Opposition. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

and please read the full article. It is clearly stated that the margin of error (MOE) is ±3% to ±5%. Please read it carefully. I am re-reverting. Shaan SenguptaTalk 11:48, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Shaan Sengupta It writes FROM. It means that Congress got 78 seats last election. XYZ 250706 (talk) 11:49, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Shaan Sengupta It has written FROM. It means that BJP got 109 seats last election. XYZ 250706 (talk) 11:48, 31 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This is the clear quote
"In the 2018 Rajasthan Assembly elections, Congress registered an impressive victory, securing a total of 100 seats out of the total 200, comfortably touching the halfway mark. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), under then Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, was only able to secure 73 seats. Smaller parties and independent candidates together managed to secure 27 seats."

Hi, XYZ 250706 This is regarding your revert action at Next Indian general election#Surveys and polls. First if you are removing a data of survey, kindly donot remove it as a whole. The table should not be removed. I advised this earlier also to you. Shaan SenguptaTalk 05:53, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Secondly, I have a source to cite the numbers and the video source was used as secondary to futher clarify. Can you please show me where it says that tweets/videos from official twitter handle don't count as reliable. Shaan SenguptaTalk 05:55, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Previously Dhruv edits told me not to add video sources as reliable in 2022 Himachal Pradesh election. XYZ 250706 (talk) 05:57, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Shaan Sengupta You can check it in history of my talk page. XYZ 250706 (talk) 05:58, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The video source I was using that time was from Zee News. Please wait. Do not hurry to add opinion polls. The surveys at the time of election are more reliable. XYZ 250706 (talk) 06:02, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@Shaan Sengupta But according to the cite I have given to you says that he has discussed the matter on my talk page. XYZ 250706 (talk) 06:13, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It is in you talk page. You removed it at Revision as of 18:55, 26 January 2023. He says video links should not be used. But here I have given an article and a video only as a secondary source to clarify the doubts. Had it been just the video it wouldn't have been considered. Shaan SenguptaTalk 06:15, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No Shaan SenguptaTalk 06:25, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That is why I gave Twitter. Please read Wikipedia:Reliable sources/Noticeboard disscussion on Twitter being a source. All the discussions suggest that verified Twitter handle are reliable. Plus TimesNow has business verified mark. It is not just any other Twitter Blue because it's verified since Aug 2013. And blue started in 2023 only. So it is considered reliable. If you are ok then please add the poll. Because I am going offline for sometime now. Shaan SenguptaTalk 06:28, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Zee News is reliable also. Do not hurry to add opinion polls. Please wait. XYZ 250706 (talk) 06:38, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have added another link. Please see it. And there is no hurry in adding opinion polls. I told you above too. Please have a look at Wikipedia:WikiProject Indian politics/Election: Article structure#Surveys and polls and at the discussion at Talk:Next Indian general election#Opinion Polls. Its very clear that opinion polls after July 2023 (formation of I.N.D.I.A.) should be added. Shaan SenguptaTalk 09:58, 18 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @XYZ 250706. Hope this finds you well. I have reverted done of your changes at Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance. Those edits didn't seem constructive.

 • Abbreviation- Please se the disscussion at Talk:Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance/Archive 1#Abbreviation. We only got votes in favour of I.N.D.I.A. And the Abbreviation in the article was clearly mentioned with a notice in this form - <!--Donot change the Abbreviation this is what was agreed at the talk page discussion-->I.N.D.I.A.<!--Donot change the Abbreviation this is what was agreed at the talk page discussion-->. I just hope that you know Wikipedia's policy on consensus.
 • Patna meeting reference removal - Please tell me what made you to remove reference from Patna meeting section and add citation need tag. Shaan SenguptaTalk 18:55, 23 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Shaan Sengupta Oh sorry for removing the source in Patna section. That was done by mistake. But the alliance is only for Lok sabha, not for vidhan sabha or rajya sabha or mlc. So state seats or rajya seats should not be added. Predecessor of I.N.D.I.A. is UPA not UO. There is no citation for merger of Left Front. XYZ 250706 (talk) 04:42, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Shaan Sengupta The state elections were no contested on banner of I.N.D.I.A.. XYZ 250706 (talk) 04:45, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
There have been no state elections yet since the formation of this alliance. Shaan SenguptaTalk 04:46, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Wider audience doesn't match your thoughts. It was never officialy announced as till when this alliance will continue. All the Left front parties are part of this alliance. So it's a common sense. UO is added as predecessor because it was UO first when all the opposition parties came under one banner. Shaan SenguptaTalk 04:45, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
See [1] XYZ 250706 (talk) 04:46, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This isn't a well established source. Anyways all those information are based on theories and common sense. Shaan SenguptaTalk 04:48, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Can you please explain what made you to change the Abbreviation from I.N.D.I.A. to just INDIA? Shaan SenguptaTalk 04:47, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Shaan Sengupta I am sorry for that. First of all, I actually did not knew about discussion. Besides I did not thought about the other changes to be made. XYZ 250706 (talk) 04:49, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
That is the reason the notice was put there which clearly indicated the discussion. Anyways be careful in future. Cheers Shaan SenguptaTalk 04:50, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
According to CPIM website, Left Front still exists. As it says To make efforts to hold a convention of Left parties at the earliest and give a call for all-India campaign on a mutually agreed charter of demands.[2] XYZ 250706 (talk) 04:51, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Shaan Sengupta Besides, Left leaders have not announced the merger of Left Front. They are part of the alliance. That does not mean Left Front is merged. If you search upa renamed as india many sources will show that. XYZ 250706 (talk) 04:53, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please see Left front article. It is not marked as dissolved as UPA. Shaan SenguptaTalk 08:53, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Shaan Sengupta That is the thing I am telling. So why many editors have added in INDIA article that INDIA is formed by merger of UPA and LF? XYZ 250706 (talk) 11:38, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I.N.D.I.A. is a merger of now defunct UPA & existing LF. This is the best explanation that anyone can give you. Left is merged just like many other parties merged at one time into Janata Party. They to merged with their parties but later parted ways. Same is the thing here. The it is merged not succeeded. Hopw you understand the difference between merger and succeed. It has merged (temporarily) not succeeded (permanently). Shaan SenguptaTalk 12:42, 24 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

XYZ 250706 HAM is a state party in Bihar. RLD is a state party in UP. Para 10B of ECI States that two parties can be alloted same symbol. Please see ECI website. [3]. Sharad Pawar is not anyone. He is the party president. He clearly said that there is no split. Ajit Pawar also said same thing. It's just that some members of a party have joined the govt while some are in opposition. If none has left party then its evident that they will continue using same symbol. Shaan SenguptaTalk 11:05, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Just to let you know JMM & ShivSena both have same Bow Arrow as symbol. Shaan SenguptaTalk 11:13, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Shaan Sengupta RLD lost state party status in April 2023. XYZ 250706 (talk) 11:30, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
See https://eci.gov.in/files/file/15000-commissions-main-notification-dated-15052023-containing-list-of-state-parties-their-symbols-and-addresses-english/ XYZ 250706 (talk) 11:31, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Shaan Sengupta For your information, HAM is not a state party in Bihar. XYZ 250706 (talk) 11:32, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Your words regarding NCP do not make sense even if Sharad Pawar has said so. So why a separate page for NCP(AP) is formed? XYZ 250706 (talk) 11:34, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
NCP (AP) clearly stated that it is a political faction. Not a political party. And if you see it also carries same symbol amd flag and had Sharad Pawar name in president. Shaan SenguptaTalk 12:00, 25 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi let it be like won lost & contested only. If a situation arises where some seats are contested in and out then we can update it like that. But we can't decide on that now. Shaan SenguptaTalk 06:12, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Shaan Sengupta So removed the part inside and outside alliance. That's all. XYZ 250706 (talk) 06:16, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Shaan Sengupta State/UTs column should obviously before contesting seats. For example State - Bihar, Contesting Seats - 4, then total for all states - 45. XYZ 250706 (talk) 06:18, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah we can do that. Shaan SenguptaTalk 06:21, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding election symbol.
I think we should add symbols of the parties irrespective of whether they are recognised or not. Like everyone knows that RLD will keep using Handpump as their symbol. Parties once registered usually don't get their symbol changed. What do you say. Because it would be easy for readers if symbols are present. Shaan SenguptaTalk 08:03, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It is unconfirmed that they will contest on same symbol. Even state parties sometimes may not contest on their symbol in every state. For example, RSP contested on Bat symbol (not usual symbol) in Tripura even being a state party in WB and Kerala at that time. SUCI(C)'s common symbol is Torch. But if you see ECI data for 2019 Lok Sabha election, you can see that in Bihar it did not contested on same symbol in every constituency it contested. I did not check other states and seats. That can happen there also. XYZ 250706 (talk) 08:06, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If RLD contests on Hand pump symbol on every seats it will contest (although it will appear as original research, but it will contest in UP only), then it can be added. XYZ 250706 (talk) 08:08, 28 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Communist Party of India (Marxist) campaign for the 2024 Indian general election requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion discussion, such as at Articles for deletion. When a page has substantially identical content to that of a page deleted after a discussion, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Information icon Hello, I'm Yamla. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Nitish Kumar, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! --Yamla (talk) 09:50, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add unreferenced or poorly referenced information, especially if controversial, to articles or any other page on Wikipedia about living (or recently deceased) persons, as you did to Nitish Kumar. Thank you. --Yamla (talk) 10:05, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Yamla But I have added source in edit summary. XYZ 250706 (talk) 10:06, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That's not sufficient. Please see WP:CITE. Nor does that source indicate this is any sort of official alias for Kumar. It looks like an insult currently common in the tabloids, but that's not enough for you to make the claim that this is what he's generally known as. See WP:BLP. If you have a high quality source indicating this is what he calls himself, great! Let's discuss it! --Yamla (talk) 10:09, 30 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to articles about living or recently deceased people, and edits relating to the subject (living or recently deceased) of such biographical articles, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

 • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
 • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
 • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
 • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
 • refrain from gaming the system.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the template.

@Cross Indian That is not called 10000+ content. Many editors have said to add Full party name and colour. XYZ 250706 (talk) 03:28, 25 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Restoration

[edit]

Do not make a full restoration of an old revision if maintenance work - citation related, backlinks, date and lang formatting, etc., are done in between. Kindly restore the part you want, manually. Thanks. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:48, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at 2019 Indian general election. Your edits appear to be disruptive and have been or will be reverted.

Please ensure you are familiar with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, and please do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive. Continued disruptive editing may result in loss of editing privileges. Didn't you get the first time? I explained in the edit summary as well as the message above. Do not make a full restoration to an older version since maintenance work related to references, links and URLs, dates have been done in between those edits. Restore the part manually. Do not edit war. Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:32, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Fylindfotberserk I am well aware of the Wikipedia rules. But I restored the map with proper consciousness. I had given proper explanation also. XYZ 250706 (talk) 17:33, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I mean I then restored the old map. XYZ 250706 (talk) 17:34, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
BUt you have also restored older version of the article in the process, which were not up to date as far as references and manintenance are concerned. Restore the map manually please . - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:36, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
You want this map restored? All you need to do is replace with it in the infobox only without touching rest of the article. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:37, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have restored the older one [4]. The newer map was undiscussed anyway. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 17:42, 2 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi @XYZ 250706 I hope you are doing fine. I am currently working on the 1999 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly election#Results by constituency section and I am here to request you to join with me in filling up the data from the [5] in the table. Information icon Hello XYZ 250706. I appreciate your efforts to improve the article List of political parties in India, but some of your edits have been reverted or corrected, in part because your use of English was grammatically incorrect. If you speak a different language more fluently or require assistance, please feel free to ask for help with your proposed edits on the article's talk page. Please don't use an automated tool to alter spelling or grammar if you aren't fluent enough in English to know whether those changes are correct. There are multiple users who would be glad to help you fix grammar-related issues. To find out about other useful contributions you can make to Wikipedia which don't require absolute fluency in English, see Wikipedia:Task Center. Thanks! - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 08:21, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Sumanuil But your edits contain huge amount of wrong items of information. I restored an old good version only. But some changes in seats of parties are needed. XYZ 250706 (talk) 08:47, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not the one putting deleted files and spelling errors back. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 09:32, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Sumanuil No but I only restored a previous version with less informational error. You restoration has too many informational erros. XYZ 250706 (talk) 14:38, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Unverified edits

[edit]

@XYZ 250706

Recently you have deleted content from Parties & alliances section of 2024 Jharkhand Legislative Assembly election without verification. Don't do that. If you think that some content should not be in some article then first discuss it in talk page of that related article. Ritwik Mahatat@lk 08:30, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@RITWIK MAHATA First you learn Wikipedia rules properly. Then come here to notify/warn me. There is no term called verification. I explained in edit summary. You seemed to be quoted biased regarding your edits. Wikipedia is not the place for self-promotion or similar things. XYZ 250706 (talk) 09:04, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@XYZ 250706
In your edit summary you gave wrong information. There are reliable sources what I have added. Ritwik Mahatat@lk 09:22, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No there was no citation before that. Edit summary is explanation. I am saying that you should read Wikipedia rules before blindly promoting JLKM. You may have your political ideas. That's perfectly fine. But the way sometimes you are vandalising and making biased edits are problematic. You shouldn't do that. XYZ 250706 (talk) 09:36, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@XYZ 250706

BJP leaders one said they will not not fight in alliance with any party in WB

[edit]

BJP is fighting alone for last 4 years. Even in panchayat and local bodies they didn't formed alliance. They supported AIJUS in 2021 because there nomination rejected. 49.47.141.1 (talk) 09:58, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@49.47.141.1What you are doing is nothing but disruptions. https://www.telegraphindia.com/amp/jharkhand/bjp-leaves-one-seat-for-ally-ajsu-party-to-contest-in-bengal/cid/1808872 XYZ 250706 (talk) 10:00, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In last panchayat election and local bodies they're contesting alone 49.47.141.1 (talk) 10:03, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn't matter. The election article is not for local body election. XYZ 250706 (talk) 10:08, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have agreed on many of your disruptive edits. Now you've to agree on some of my edits. I have seen the link of the news paper you've given. It didn't said CPI(M-L)L didn't joined Left Front. 49.47.141.1 (talk) 10:02, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have not made any disruptive edits and what do you mean by "I have agreed". It is not that I have agreed or you have agreed. CPIML Liberation is supported by Left Front. Even their posters say that they are just supported by Left Front, not nominated by Left Front. But CPIM, CPI, AIFB and RSP candidates are nominated by LF. XYZ 250706 (talk) 10:08, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I can see that you are a member of Bangla Pokkho. It's perfectly fine. Then I think you can read Bengali atleast to some extent. The article clearly says that it's just support, not an alliance. XYZ 250706 (talk) 10:13, 23 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in 2024 Jharkhand Legislative Assembly election. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. Sam Sailor 12:32, 29 October 2024 (UTC) (please ping on reply)[reply]

@Sam Sailor Can you please explain in brief. Besides I was following Wikipedia Not all rule. XYZ 250706 (talk) 12:45, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Per MOS:NOSECTIONLINKS: for technical reasons, section headings should, among other things, not contain links, citations, or template transclusions. Sam Sailor 12:48, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Sam Sailor Is (===)  Mahagathbandhan(===) violating the rules? XYZ 250706 (talk) 12:50, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
In such a case, put the line into e.g. pre tags: <pre></pre> so it looks like
======
Yes, that would violate MOS:NOSECTIONLINKS as the heading contains both the templates legend inline, party color, and link. Sam Sailor 13:01, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Sam Sailor If there is problem in that, I can tell that almost every election article, atleast in India, follow this pattern. XYZ 250706 (talk) 12:54, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I have added

to a few articles yesterday. I am sure there are many more that needs a gentle edit. Sam Sailor 13:01, 29 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
