If it's a case of not being notable enough, then almost every company listed in that group should be removed also. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Dbushee (talk • contribs) 12:16, 4 April 2007 (UTC).
- Hi again, you might be interested in this essay on the subject. The point is that a lot of articles that exists probably shouldn't and a lot of articles are missing. If after reading the policies I linked to you you really think the page should be there, I invite you to resubmit an other version of this article, emphasizing on qhy the company is notable by itself and citing independent and reliable sources on it. db-copyvio
Hey, I switched {{db-copyvio}} back to the older warning at {{nothanks-sd}} for the time being. I don't care which warning it leaves, except for one thing: {{uw-copyright}} doesn't produce its own heading, and I'm concerned about user talk pages becoming a jumble and warnings getting lost in the shuffle. As I explained on the template's talk page, I don't know how to make it leave a heading, or I would have done it myself. If you can do it, or if somebody else does, please feel free to switch back to {{uw-copyright}}. Thanks! --Butseriouslyfolks 19:51, 7 April 2007 (UTC)

Sockpuppetry at the Fellowship of Friends page
Hello Luca, I am a new user so I apologize for my lack of experience. REDVERS, an Administrator working on the Fellowship of Friends page, sent me the following message yesterday:
- Hi Mario, on the talk page of Fellowship of Friends, I offered Wikipedia's best way for how to resolve these disputes (basically WP:RS); sadly, this was basically ignored and very obvious sockpuppetry was resorted to instead, by people who held the high ground in the dispute. This led to the page being unprotected at your request and the edit war kicking off again, as it would when underhand methods are being used.
I asked for a checkuser for the 4 editors linked on the diffs (Veronicapoe, Nixwisser, Unicorn144 and Babycondor) by now I realize that Redvers was indicating that Babycondor is a sock puppet of Nixwisser. I am correct? How can you tell that comparing the diffs? Thank you for your help. MFantoni 12:12, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Checkuser question
There's a proposed community ban for discussion of a prolific sockpuppeteer here, which looks likely to result in a ban. The editor in question actually has two checkusers, one here and an older one here. The Rms125a account was well before my time on Wikipedia, and I was only made aware how far back the sockpuppetry went following the more recent checkuser. Now, given the abuse of sockpuppets to date, it's unlikely the editor will stop because of the community ban. When I was request a checkuser at any point in the future would it be best to use the O'Donoghue page with an explanation that O'Donoghue is actually Rms125a, or would I use the Rms125a page? Or would the pages be better off merged by say a checkuser clerk? Thanks. One Night In Hackney303 18:58, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

- They are currently in the suspected category, but based on the 216.194 prefixed IPs, exact same editing style and POV I'd say there's probably enough evidence to move them into the confirmed category per the duck test. I'll probably take this up with an actual checkuser, but thanks for the help anyway. One Night In Hackney303 22:11, 12 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi, from doc 'Rusty' Venture
Thanks for replying, I want to extend the stub on Paulo Lins, the author of Cidade de Deus, or the city of god. I reckon ive almost got enough stuff to write the article, but ive never been very good at making things official, i.e. citing reference sources, so i need a bit of help on making templates, and getting pictures. I want to make a worth while article so if you know how to do theese things then I would really appreciate the help. If you want you can e-mail me with a reply, if that would be easier, ill leave my e-mail address on my user profile page. PS, you may have noticed im a bit of a poor speller, im not dumb, but I am dyslexic (at least i can spell that), so please excuse any typos. User blocking
I am not sure as to why I had been blocked from editing. (All I have edited on Wikipedia myself, is an article about octagons, since it had no links to the other polygons. Now it does.)
The articles I have been said to have vandalised, I have not.
I am extremely angry (not at yourselves) that content of this sort: "jakes penis is soo small that even when seen with a magnifying glass it still remains tiny, however that is nothing compared to giacomo who actually has a vagina" has been added to Wikipedia somehow through my IP address.
I am confused as to why and how this has happened since I am not one to vandalise such a useful resource, which I use quite regularly and find to be of a great help.
I acknowledge that Wikipedia is made up of user added content. I am pleased that people such as yourselves do not allow this sort of content to be added and greatly appreciate the time taken to filter out these disgraceful alterations that people make.
I am sorry if I caused any inconvienience, but am angered that this has happened since I am not a person who would not carry out such immature behaviour. I am thankful that you have unblocked the allowance for editing, but am still thoroughly confused as to how your article on evolution and organism were edited under my IP address.
Many Apologies

Josef Szombathy
You applied a speedy delete tag to Josef Szombathy. A pretty usless article at present, but just as a thought did you try a quick Google before tagging it, and did you see the Ducth Wiki page on him? A poor article indeed, but a seemingly notable person who pass WP:notability. Rgds, - Trident13 11:01, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

- Agreed it is a poor article, but you then have two choices - apply speed delete for various piecs of rubbish, or if they/the subject is real and does pass WP:notability apply a notability tag, allowing time for the original creator or other editors to expand the article. If a quick search shows notability, then removing the article just means it will be replaced at some point - a notability tag means it should be expanded. Its a lesson I have learnt from applying speedy tags to articles, where a bit of research and an inexperinced editor can add up to better contributions. Rgds, - Trident13 11:11, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Tags
Actually, your the one whos mixed up {db-blanked} and {db-empty}. The article in question had been blanked by the only contributor to it, just like the blanked tag says. Empty is for articles of like a sentence, or just a title and a weblink, NOT articles that have been blanked. It does say to this affect quite clearly on both tags, but I'm sure it's a (relatively) easy mistake to make. DarkSaber2k 11:51, 20 April 2007 (UTC)

Hi there
Hi Lucasbfr,
i've created a page with subject: Genie-soft and you have kindly deleted the page. i didn't post it because i work at Genie-soft or something. i posted it because i believe such company should be supported and should be very well knows because it sets an example for other people about determination and well.
This is a third world company with international standards of excellence ... and they have an unprecedented record for being such a company in the Middle East.
I've checked other companies' pages on your website, such as Symantec, Acronis, Panda, and others ... and i wrote in the same manner these pages were written. no promotional material was included and it written in an unbiased way.
Could you please clarify the reason(s) why you deleted the page? and if so, could you please also check the pages i mentioned above and compare the one i wrote about Genie-soft with them and find if there is any difference between them?
Your prompt response is highly appreciated.
