Thanks for the comments on my blog
I've neglected it for quite a few months so I appreciate it, now that I'm trying to devote time to it, that you have taken the time not only to read but to respond to my thoughts. -- llywrch (talk) 18:40, 1 July 2008 (UTC)

Re: Checkuser
I am not sure what you are asking for re:the filed. Could you tell me what you are looking for? - Arcayne (cast a spell) 15:06, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
- These IP belong to the same network, and the contributions leave no doubt this is the same user (He is not saying otherwise). I don't see what a CU could bring to light here (it's not magic pixie dust ;)). -- lucasbfr talk 18:40, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
- Lol. Not looking for magic - that would mean I expect the user to become magically delicious and polite. I'm thinking that's a remote possibility. How does one request a range block? - Arcayne (cast a spell) 20:45, 3 July 2008 (UTC)
- Go to ANI, make your case with diffs and showing that all other options have been exhausted (I see he filled a wikietiquette alert a fer weeks ago, how did it end?). We'll look at the contributions of both of you, and you'll need to be very convincing (we don't like blocking ranges since most of the time good editors are stuck) -- lucasbfr talk 07:13, 4 July 2008 (UTC)
- I wasn't informed of any wikiquette alert, Lucasbfr. - Arcayne (cast a spell) 16:12, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

oh
Cannot even remember doing the edit - however in the past i have sufficently messaged others who i thought they were perpetraurs of similar travesties only to find that i have misread the diffs - so for that reason - i no longer do what youve done - risky stuff at the best of times SatuSuro 11:23, 6 July 2008 (UTC) 3 years and 30 thou edits bah im a new user SatuSuro 01:59, 7 July 2008 (UTC) Hey the good thing about all this stuff (wikipedia and its weird inhabitants) is it is not real - it doesnt exist in the real world - be thankful we dont have living species of articles, or trolls, or admins, or otrs complainers as embodiments of their energies - that would be something very different to cope with:| SatuSuro 02:45, 7 July 2008 (UTC)
No worries
I was simply reverting edits that appeared to me to have gotten BC blocked. I also believe (from just a brief perusal) that his interpretation of NFCC isn't clear-cut, and is hotly debated. But I won't revert you, and I'm stepping back from the discussion altogether. My views were more about whether BC's block was justified than whether or not his interpretation of NFCC was correct. S. - No worries :) I prefer considering edits on their own merits more than who their author is. -- lucasbfr talk 15:34, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
edits on the hank williams jr. page
Just a quick headsup:
Looks like a user named russellgn made an inappropiate contribution to the page. I've never edited before, so i just deleted the offending content and left a note on the talk page. If I screwed it up, please let me know.

Um . . . Question
How do you put a checkuser case on the main checkuser page? I just made Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/JeanLatore and I keep forgetting how to move it. :P Honestly, I need big flashing words on how to do that somewhere on my page... -WarthogDemon 19:39, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
- I believe you just edit section and transclude the case. –xenocidic (talk) 19:58, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
- Fixed both requests (misspelled username and transclusion problem). Thanks! -WarthogDemon 20:03, 6 July 2008 (UTC)
WP:HAU, Status, and you!
As you may know, the StatusBot responsible for maintaining the status of the Highly Active Users was taken offline. We now have a replacement in the Qui status system. This semi-automatic system will allow you to easily update your status page found at Special:Mypage/Status which the HAU page code is now designed to read from. If you are already using Qui (or a compatible system) - great! - no action is needed (other than remembering to update your status as necessary). If not, consider installing Qui. You can also manually update this status by changing the page text to online, offline, or busy. While it is not mandatory, the nature of HAU is that people are often seeking a quick answer from someone who is online and keeping our statuses up-to-date will assist with this. Note if you were previously using your /Status page as something other than a one-word status indicator, your HAU entry may have been set to "status=n" to correct display issues. Please clear this parameter if you change things to be "HAU compatible". Further questions can be raised at WT:HAU. This message was delivered by xenobot 23:06, 8 July 2008 (UTC)
Deletion review for Heath Town Rangers F.C.
An editor has asked for a deletion review of Heath Town Rangers F.C.. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article, speedy-deleted it, or were otherwise interested in the article, you might want to participate in the deletion review. ChrisTheDude (talk) 08:07, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks for the notice. I will try to have a look tonight at the notability guidelines for football articles. If you are correct I have no problems with speedy restoring it. -- lucasbfr talk 08:09, 11 July 2008 (UTC)
Edits to Romain Duris page
FYI user 71.206.10.52 added an xrated image to actor Romain Duris' page and keeps reinstated it. Can anything be done to keep this user from vadalizing this page?
--Filmbuffs101 (talk) 05:35, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
- Done I deleted the file, thanks. -- lucasbfr talk 07:56, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Hi Lucasbfr
Thanks for the welcome.
Last night my nephew and I were looking up the actor Romain Duris and found a picture of a naked man (don't know if it was the actor) but it was certainly not something I want a 10 year old to see. So I edited it out of the bio but to my astonishment, the user reinstated the picture a few minutes later! So I deleted it again... I have'nt seen the photo again, but now the site is on my watchlist.
We don't want to see any pornography on this site - too many kids do their homework with it - and this type of entry is simply a crime. Please keep the site and the editor (71.206.10.52) on your watchlist because it looks like from the user's history, it's unfortunately not the first time ..
Here's the verson that got us all upset: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Romain_Duris&oldid=225155992
Thanks for the good work. I look forward to contributing whenever I can.
All the best, --Filmbuffs101 (talk) 10:53, 12 July 2008 (UTC)
Hi Lucasbfr - [1] you moved the above request to the "completed" column. However, I'd actually just added a new request to it and relisted; is there something I should be doing with the old one (noinclude tags?) to prevent it from showing up in the transclusion? I'm not much for formatting things. Sarcasticidealist (talk) 12:17, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
- D'oh! I was wondering why the case was back in the pending section. I fixed it! -- lucasbfr talk 13:12, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

My Userpage
Hello, I noticed from the logs that you are online, could you please delete my userpage in order to remove personal identifiable information from the page history? I tagged it a while back but nobody seems to be sure as to whether to delete it. Thanks! - Toon05 17:33, 16 July 2008 (UTC)

I have been unfairly accused of using sock puppets...
I have been unfairly accused of using sock puppets. How do I clear my name up? This should be easy to do, just look up our IP address, locations, operating systems, browsers, and what not. I have my own site and often do this myself. I am not any of these people. When I tried to contact them to prove that they weren't my sock puppets, I saw this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:MGM87 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Swim19 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Soccer_mom_5
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_checkuser/Case/Grant23
These people have been blocked! None of these were my sock puppets and now my name as an editor is being tarnished. Please help!Grant23 (talk) 16:16, 18 July 2008 (UTC)
