Vandalism?
I just got on here and I have messages for vandalizing Rosie O'Donnell's page. I think it is wrong. Thank you. 71.206.10.52 04:42, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
- Mmm it seems to me that the vandal edits were done from your IP address, so either it was done from your computer or an other computer in your house. -- lucasbfr talk 04:45, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for clearing that up. 71.206.10.52 04:48, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
- No problem :) You should try to find up what happened (since it seems to be a personal line), this IP might get banned for vandalism if this behavior continues. Regards, -- lucasbfr talk 04:52, 9 December 2006 (UTC)
- Yea. It shows no sign of stopping vandalism, so I might just get a personal account. Thanks for all your help. 71.206.10.52 04:53, 9 December 2006 (UTC)

you're an uptight prick. spend more time outside and less time constantly checking wiki. oh, and unless World of Warcraft comes with a "vagina" upgrade, i'd also work on controlling that addiction...

- I think you are talking about this edit? oO
Thanks that was quick
How do I best get "bauduc chateau" and "bauduc, chateau" to link to the existing article. These are common searches as the term "chateau" is commonly omitted in wine guides and web references relating to wine.
Perhaps these will be picked up by a standard searc but this has not yet updated?
The non accented version already seems to link. See Chateau Bauduc -> Château Bauduc Thanks Chris Chris @ Optima 06:52, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for resolving my problem. I don't know why I suddenly had a problem with the URL. I seem to recall using the template in the past with the same syntax without any problems. Has the template changed recently? Thanks LittleOldMe 18:15, 13 December 2006 (UTC)

List of queercore bands
Please do use more care when issuing warnings, etc. My edits to that page were discussed on the talk page as well as being fully supported by the guidelines on external links and stand alone lists. Snap judgements are usually not a good thing, and I'm going to re-do my edit now, thanks. - 152.91.9.144 03:04, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

- hehe. Ok I got a starting headache right now. I might have done something wrong... But I can't see which edit I reverted. So I'll assume there was a mistake somewhere (even if I clearly remember your talk page and wonder what the hell it was). Sorry about the edit I reverted (or not) and about the warning I am removing right now (since there is no associated revert). I think I have misclicked on your name while reverting someone else's edit. Vandalism was crazy a few minutes ago. Sorry again :) -- lucasbfr talk 03:15, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
- In your defence, the edit in question did appear to remove a large amount of material, but for the fact this it was a long list of myspace bands. And I too clicked "history" twice and even purged the cache before looking at your history to seen that you'd made the warning but not the revert... Now I think I have a headache. - 152.91.9.144 03:20, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

Username
Well... There's a small section on my talk but it's a borderline breaching experiment to be frank. The formal benefits (in creating pages and a watchlist) are pretty minor, and the informal drawbacks (in getting treated like dirt) are pretty noticable. So while I could do the easy thing and log in, until we get secure sign-ons validated via email or something I'll keep slogging away with my little numbers and reminding "named" editors that IPs are meant to be respected members of the community, too.

Hello!
I noticed you recently deleted my edit to the Bowles Hall page. Admittedly, what I wrote was perhaps too harsh. But let me ask you: do you go to Berkeley? Because I do, and I spend a lot of time in Bowles. And they do frequent the sperm bank--it's sort of a joke between the freshmen. It's definitely becoming a tradition, especially after the University limited Bowles to freshmen only. So I am only telling the truth. Also, it's a wonder you caught that so quickly, when the vandalism--true vandalism, I might add--on another page associated with the University went unnoticed for days. --169.229.104.164 03:06, 14 December 2006 (UTC)

So if I did the same thing--sans the drug habit bit, because while it may be true, there's no way I can verify that--would it be okay? --169.229.104.164 03:56, 14 December 2006 (UTC)
Hulk Hogan
I did not add nonsense. The Hulk Hogan page said he was an "American rapist," and in the course of editing that I added information on names he went by when he wrestled.
For example, in the WWF and AWA, he went by "Incredible Hulk Hogan" before shortening it to simply "Hulk Hogan." When he originally joined the NWO he became "Hollywood Hulk Hogan" before eventually shortening it to "Hollywood Hogan."
These name changes, although minor, were distinct. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.201.244.25 (talk) 08:16, 15 December 2006 (UTC).
- errr... Perhaps you meant raper? Because xxx is an American rapist seems a weird sentence at best. If you are doing such edits, I would urge you to back them up with citations. -- lucasbfr talk 16:36, 15 December 2006 (UTC)

Re:Vandalism
No problem. Looking at the recent history of that page, you should definately consider getting semi-protection for your user page. (Wikipedia:Requests for page protection) Cbrown1023 13:50, 16 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi,
You have put yourself as interested in helping out atWikiProject on user warnings. We are now at a stage where we are creating the new templates and are wondering if you are still interested? If so please visit the overview page and choose a warning type you wish to work on. There is a base template available here, which you can copy and use to get you started. Have a look through the redirects and see what old templates are affected and incorporate them into the the new system. Anyway, any questions please don't hesitate to give me a shout. Wabash College change
Stories of the infamous sex-change alum have circled the campus, but few were curious enough to learn his/her name, as evidenced by my removal of (seemingly) a female from the list of of alumni from an all-male school. I do accept your change, but I would suggest you take your own advice, and provide reasoning for your switch back, lest it seem hypocritical. You teaching is about correction, and edification, is it not? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.255.216.178 (talk • contribs).

Non-Aggression Pact
Sorry for the mistake, from looking over the debate it had appeared to have just been POV pushing, but if that is a likely search term, than it does belong as a redirect, and I have restored it. Thanks for pointing that out. Cheers. Canadian-Bacon 07:11, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

Hi, Lucas -- always happy to learn, but can you be specific about what you mean about what should be changed? Are you speaking of the "hidden comments" with the backward arrow, followed with a !, then several dashes, the comment, then more dashes and the forward arrow? I have used those (tho I accidentally forgot the ! several times earler today. It can be useful to help other editors understand the reasoning behind added material. I have used them to ask for input -- but have since learned about using BANNERS where WP asks for expansion of sections.
I noted the table you have added, but have no notion in the world what it is for or how to use it. Again, can you help me out in understanding? Thanks --Kiwi 08:00, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
- Hi again, Lucas. After I finished all my moves and small additions, I went into history and SAW what you trying to tell me, so I used page search and changed all of the banners!!
- But I am still clueless about that table. Plus, there are tons more thing I need to learn. I am NOT a "complete" editor, but I guess most of us aren't. WP is, indeed, a team effort, a collaborative task. --Kiwi 10:17, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
