1902 Nobel Prize in Literature
[edit]Hi, could you have a new look at 1902 Nobel Prize in Literature that you created. It looks like you've mixed in some info from the 1901 price. Greetings, Tomas e (talk) 21:27, 15 June 2022 (UTC)
1948 Nobel Prize page
[edit]1. The link in the infobox is to a .jpg of a few past laureates. I'm not sure where you intended it to lead, so I didn't fix it.
2. You reversed my changes of Thomas Stearns Eliot to T. S. Eliot on the grounds that nobelprize.org uses his full name. The list of nominees reads "Thomas Eliot". There are several other differences between the official list and the Wikipedia one (e.g. Halldor Laxness, Winston Churchill, Colette, Dorothy Fisher). Is there a policy that lists like this should be as close as possible to the original? Hope this is useful to you. CohenTheBohemian (talk) 13:41, 21 June 2022 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for June 22
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 1956 Nobel Prize in Literature, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Harald Beyer. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Wikipedia and copyright
[edit]Hello JB Hoang Tam! Your additions to 1972 Nobel Prize in Literature have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 17:46, 2 July 2022 (UTC)

Links to draft articles
[edit]Please do not introduce links in actual articles to draft articles, as you did to Borongan. Since a draft is not yet ready for the main article space, it is not in shape for ordinary readers, and links from articles should not go to a draft. Such links are contrary to the Manual of Style. These links have been removed. Thank you. - Arjayay (talk) 14:42, 8 July 2022 (UTC)

User:Bruxton, while examining this page as a part of our page curation process, had the following comments:
Thanks for the article. I have reviewed it. I am not sure if this paragraph is copied, but it comes up that way in two sources. "On 25 March 2004, Tagore's Nobel Prize was stolen from the safety vault of the Visva-Bharati University, along with several other of his belongings. On 7 December 2004, the Swedish Academy decided to present two replicas of Tagore's Nobel Prize, one made of gold and the other made of bronze, to the Visva-Bharati University. It inspired the fictional film Nobel Chor. In 2016 a baul singer named Pradip Bauri, accused of sheltering the thieves, was arrested and the prize was returned." Perhaps you can write this in your own words?

Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you copied or moved text from Yasunari Kawabata into 1968 Nobel Prize in Literature. While you are welcome to re-use Wikipedia's content, here or elsewhere, Wikipedia's licensing does require that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied at minimum in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. It is good practice, especially if copying is extensive, to also place a properly formatted {{copied}} template on the talk pages of the source and destination. Please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor, and if you have copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, you should provide attribution for that also. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 13:34, 23 July 2022 (UTC)

The page needs constant updating which I was doing with reliable references from international news agencies. Unfortunately, you have reverted the page. If you find my updating unhelpful, then please do find ways to update the page. Thank you. JB Hoang Tam (talk) 07:56, 10 September 2022 (UTC)

Possible nominees
[edit]Thanks for your creation of individual articles for each Nobel category awarded in each year. I'm however doubtful that we should include any list of nominees or candidates in these articles – they are, as you know, entirely unofficial at present. The problem is that there is no well-defined criteria to determine who to include, and any such list (regardless of citations) is simply inappropriate speculation and original research. Without official confirmation from the Nobel Foundation, there is no good reason why a seemingly arbitrary list of prominent scientists who weren't awarded the prize should be worth mentioning at all. The best thing to do in this case is to delete such speculative sections and add a proper list of nominees 50 years later. — RAVENPVFF · talk · 14:22, 3 October 2022 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of The Children of Segu
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on The Children of Segu requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.publishersweekly.com/9780670829811. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Onel5969 TT me 12:58, 4 April 2023 (UTC)

List of Clarivate Citation laureates in Economic Sciences moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, List of Clarivate Citation laureates in Economic Sciences, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. Hi Hoang. Do you intend to still write the Nobel Prize in Literature pages for 1921 through 1926, 1932 through 1934, and 1958 through 1960?
[edit]Those years are missing. I'm interested in the lists of authors who died in those years without being nominated for the prize, as well as the winners and those who were nominated. 45kerdall (talk) 14:07, 10 August 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, I will continue creating the Nobel Prize in Literature pages for the missing years. JB Hoang Tam (talk) 11:04, 14 August 2023 (UTC)

Articles tone must be neutral, presenting unbiased information on all included perspectives. so please do not use this tone (wealthy, public figure, opportunity of meeting affluent people, Palace), you may clean all resume like information from biography section. Thank you
