Welcome to project WP:QAI, and thank you for your contributions to the Recent deaths corner. I'm collecting references for Karl Berger, - would you have time to help? Several albums are commented out, and could return with a ref. One by one, please, to avoid edit conflict. A simple support would also help, if you can get behind it. -- Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:24, 17 April 2023 (UTC)

Audience bias moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Audience bias, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more in-depth coverage about the subject itself, with citations from reliable, independent sources in order to show it meets WP:GNG. It should have at least three, to be safe. And please remember that interviews, as primary sources, do not count towards GNG.(?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 14:52, 19 April 2023 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Mac Jones 2021 NFL awards.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Mac Jones 2021 NFL awards.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. ITNC formatting
Hi there. You might not have been aware, but the convention at WP:ITNC for marking the status of a nomination (e.g. "closed", "ready", etc.) is to use parentheses, not brackets e.g. [Closed] (Closed). Brackets cause a problem if someone wants to wikilink to the section, as they need to be encoded to work, while parentheses do not. Regards.—Bagumba (talk) 15:46, 4 May 2023 (UTC)

Hello
Hello! Remember me? I'm Knowledgegatherer23. You welcomed me the other day. I have a quick question. I am working on this article and the most reliable source I can find for something in it is a secondary source that refrences a primary source (the company that makes the product). Is this okay? It's the best one I can find, if there was a better one I would use it. Thanks, Knowledgegatherer23 (talk) 14:59, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Knowledgegatherer23: Hey! Yeah, that seems fine, at least to me. Besides, it's a good faith, bold addition of a reliable source, you're probably good. If you have anymore questions, don't be afraid to ask me here, or use {{ping|Fakescientist8000}} on your talk page to ping me. I'm here to help you! :) Cheers, atque supra! - If you've ever created or contributed to any good articles, do you have any tips on making an article good? Knowledgegatherer23 (talk) 21:34, 16 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Knowledgegatherer23, Unfortunately, I haven't created or contributed to any good articles. :( However, you basically need to make a big (but not unreadable) article with lots (no WP:CITEBOMB) of citations, all with the tone and style of Wikipedia. Hope this can help! Again, if you need to ask more questions, I'm always available. :) Cheers, atque supra! Fakescientist8000 22:35, 16 May 2023 (UTC)

Lambertus Nicolaas Holsboer moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Lambertus Nicolaas Holsboer, is not suitable as written to remain published.
When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.Onel5969 TT me 11:26, 30 May 2023 (UTC)

my story today |
---|
Thank you for improving articles in May. - I had a good story on coronation day: the Te Deum we sang that day. And the following day we sang it for the composer ;)
I nominated Soňa Červená for GA just to give her a bit more exposure, and I took some pics of bright scenery - click on songs. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:39, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
- @Gerda Arendt Thank you, for continuing your work on WP throughout the years. :)
- I noticed some of your most recent pictures have been of scenery you took while biking. I like biking, and wish I got to do it more often, but with the love for cars in the US stronger than the love for bikes, I can only ever do it so often. If only... Cheers, atque supra! Fakescientist8000 20:10, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
- I agree that where I lived in the US bike routes were rare. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 20:12, 20 May 2023 (UTC)
- Pentecost was full of music, and my story today is that 300 years ago today, Bach became Thomaskantor, with BWV 75, writing music history. - Did you see my reply for the RD nom for the Mexican composer: works are on IRCAM? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 19:52, 30 May 2023 (UTC)
Chuvash and Tatars
Hello. I'm sorry to bother you. I want to revert Muslim Chuvash defined themselves as Tatars part in Chuvash page. Source is very non academic and problematic in various ways.
First Durmus Arik, Turkish writer of journal who studied on religions is not a historian to claim anything about old Chuvash people without using referances. Second is, journal states that "Chuvash people are Volga Bulgarians who first converted to Islam in Turkish history." Can you understand what I mean? This will create a misconception to think Chuvash people are Christian Tatars. I mean even if its true, that's a result of misconception and assimilation. I mean Ukrainians used to call "Little Russians" by their neighbors but they are different people despite being related and no one would mention the concept of Little Russians in page of Ukrainians. As a senior Wikipedia user, please fix this problem. Again, I don't use Wikipedia that much and I didn't know edit rules or "Good faith revert." But I'm a history student and can see this definetly not academic and maybe biaded. Please reconsider your decision.

- @176.54.69.134 Apologies. Now that you've explained in further detail, I'll reverse my revert. (Also, see WP:AGF on what 'good faith revert' means). Cheers, atque supra! Fakescientist8000 20:43, 1 June 2023 (UTC)
- No problem. I reviewed the WP:AGF when you added a link in Good Faith. Cheers friend, die dulci fruere! 176.54.69.134 (talk) 21:24, 1 June 2023 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of NoBull
If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on NoBull requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company, corporation or organization that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. LuGusDeclanBibaElodieBarnaby 22:33, 4 June 2023 (UTC)
- @LuGusDeclanBibaElodieBarnaby: for future reference, please do not CSD a page with an {{Under construction}} or {{In use}} template on them unless they have not been actively edited in multiple days. Thanks. Cheers, atque supra! Fakescientist8000 22:38, 4 June 2023 (UTC)

- @ToBeFree Huh, weird. I genuinely thought I tagged the article with the under construction tag before the placement of the CSD tag, but no matter. Cheers, atque supra! Fakescientist8000 22:55, 4 June 2023 (UTC)

- Following an RfC, editors indefinitely site-banned by community consensus will now have all rights, including sysop, removed.
- As a part of the Wikimedia Foundation's IP Masking project, a new policy has been created that governs the access to temporary account IP addresses. An associated FAQ has been created and individual communities can increase the requirements to view temporary account IP addresses.
- Bot operators and tool maintainers should schedule time in the coming months to test and update their tools for the effects of IP masking. IP masking will not be deployed to any content wiki until at least October 2023 and is unlikely to be deployed to the English Wikipedia until some time in 2024.
- The arbitration case World War II and the history of Jews in Poland has been closed. The topic area of Polish history during World War II (1933-1945) and the history of Jews in Poland is subject to a "reliable source consensus-required" contentious topic restriction.
- Following a community referendum, the arbitration policy has been modified to remove the ability for users to appeal remedies to Jimbo Wales.

- anywho, I had about 2,000~ or so edits before I got rollback, but it doesn’t matter the amount of edits so much as the type of edits. I took a look through your contributions, and saw that you use RedWarn a lot. I recommend (and use heavily myself) WP:TWINKLE. Silas Nacita
Hello, I have noticed your new article Silas Nacita. Please note that biographies of living persons must have at least one source, otherwise they will be tagged with WP:BLPPROD. As there is an under construction template on the page, I've given you this notice to add sources to the page to avoid a BLPPROD nomination rather than immediately tagging it. Concerning WP:MINIMUMDEATHS
I kinda regret jumping down your throat on the ITN thread where it was discovered you had bluelinked WP:MINIMUMDEATHS to a userspace essay. I admire your intentions, actually. I noticed that a few people recently were intentionally !voting "Oppose per WP:MINIMUMDEATHS" and that was something I found a bit perturbing, so if you created the essay in response to that, great idea. However, to be consistent with essay and userspace guidelines, you really should move that essay into project-space so that it can then be treated as a proper essay rather than as a personal opinion. The community had deleted IntoThinAir's redirect of his "Things that won't get posted to ITN" essay for that reason. I would support your essay's inclusion in project-space.
Actually, I had adapted the content of that essay into my current project-space essay WP:HOWITNWORKS and did momentarily consider seizing the MINIMUMDEATHS redirect for that purpose. So I guess in a way, I feel lapped. :-) Cheers, ⛵ WaltClipper -(talk) 20:16, 20 June 2023 (UTC)
- @WaltCip Ha! All is well, my friend. I had actually thought of the idea for a few months and decided to to it proactively as opposed to reactively. Smart, eh? Not really, I know. My big concern in regards to moving it from userspace to projectspace is that I'm afraid it'll get redlinked once again if it's moved by myself or someone else. If enough people say they're fine with it being in project space (besides just you and I) then I'll move it, but until then, I can't do it for the good faith of the project. You get what I'm saying?
- I guess what goes around comes around. I steal your redirect, you steal my signature, etc etc etc. Hope you're doing well and continue to do well during these fine summer days. Cheers, atque supra! Fakescientist8000 20:49, 20 June 2023 (UTC)

Hello, Fakescientist8000,
I think this was moved prematurely into project space. It's not really an essay, it's a thought or opinion. Considering the time and care of most Wikipedia essays on policies and practices, this page seems like it was just written hurriedly and it needs much more time and work before it can be presented to the community as an essay. Also know that while it is in project space, any editor can change it to reflect their point of view, it's not really yours any more. Just a suggestion. Thanks. Liz Read! Talk! 03:10, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
- Hi @Liz,
- It was indeed, following a redirects for discussion started about WP:MINIMUMDEATHS. Considering that the redirect can't be used for a userspace essay without getting a discussion involved, and by moving it into projectspace shows that it is sloppy, I'm not sure what to do here. Cheers, atque supra! Fakescientist8000 03:12, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
- I don't have any problem contributing to the essay to help develop your point, if you'd like. You're also free to merge it into my essay WP:HOWITNWORKS, since that one is in project space and it is a bit more developed. I had intended it as sort of a beginner's guide or FAQ to WP:ITN. Cheers, ⛵ WaltClipper -(talk) 12:34, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
- @WaltCip I think that’s the best course of action. Just give me credit - somehow. Cheers, atque supra! Fakescientist8000 13:49, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Fakescientist8000 You've got your wish. Now just because I primarily wrote this essay, that does not mean other contributors are prohibited from doing so. I feel I've sufficiently echoed both your point and that of community consensus, but if you feel any edits need to be made for any reason, have at it.
- Have a beer on me, mate. Cheers, ⛵ WaltClipper -(talk) 15:29, 21 June 2023 (UTC)
- @WaltCip I’ve actually got one last question for you: is it a hard C or a soft C in WaltCip? Cheers, atque supra! Fakescientist8000 05:03, 22 June 2023 (UTC)
- It was meant to be a soft "C", like "sip", or short for "Cipriani" (this originated from my Chūnibyō days, don't ask how exactly 😅). However, I've found over the years that people referred to me as "WaltChip" or "WaltClip" despite my name being relatively easy to spell, at least I thought. So I parodied those errors with my current signature, WaltClipper - and now I'm finding people are starting to call me WaltCip again. Can't win. 🤦♂️ So short answer is, it's a soft "C" but I really don't care either way. Cheers, ⛵ WaltClipper -(talk) 12:55, 22 June 2023 (UTC)

About RFC/U
2023 has not been HiLo48's first rodeo with ITN/C. Ten years or so ago, back when WP:RFC/U was still a thing, he was an active participant on ITN/C and was equally loud and uncivil (perhaps more so, I don't remember) about a supposed U.S.-centric systemic bias that existed on ITN/C and how he had never heard of these people/events in Australia and how we'd never do the same nominations for Aussies, etc.. His interactions were so unpleasant that it did eventually lead to an RFC/U about him (which he promptly blew off, again, with all-caps and exclamation points), and then later, a topic ban from ITN/C. It seems like he's back to his old behaviors, but then again, I was no saint back then either. Cheers, ⛵ WaltClipper -(talk) 18:44, 30 June 2023 (UTC)
- @WaltCip So he’s been throwing Aussie-related temper tantrums on Candidates for a decade now? Impressive, and yet so unimpressive. Hopefully, in 10 years time, I’ll be able to look back at my comments on ITN/C now and chuckle. Or maybe cringe. Perhaps both. Cheers, atque supra! Fakescientist8000 21:13, 30 June 2023 (UTC)

Non-free images of living people
Hi,
You have uploaded some non-free images of a living person. Almost all such images are not compliant with Wikipedia's guidelines for non-free content. In particular, it contravenes policy point 1 which covers replaceability. From the guidelines, "Non-free content should not be used when a freely licensed file that serves the same purpose can reasonably be expected to be uploaded, as is the case for almost all portraits of living people." Please don't upload any more non-free images of living people. They will just be deleted. Regards. -- Whpq (talk) 01:48, 2 July 2023 (UTC)

Diego Fagot moved to draftspace
An article you recently created, Diego Fagot, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
