South Indian Film Industry

Please check this forwarded message at User talk:MThekkumthala

  • 1. POV, Each indian film industry is individual in its own terms and have individual articles in wikipedia.
  • 2. There is no single south indian film industry, Hindi film is also a part of revenue generation.
  • 3. The gross revenues of each Indian film industry varies each year, Hindi Film Revenue in 2011 is higher.
  • 4. There is no notability for this article, Instead it creates confusion and it not feasible to shift all the references and information from Cinema of India article.
  • 5. Please obey the three revert rule.
  • 6. The information in south indian film industry article is already provided in cinema of india article, please check it.

(GarylawyerNFA (talk) 10:05, 1 January 2012 (UTC)).

I only added categories to the above article, I think. In any case, just as there are articles on South Indian culture, South Indian cuisine with encompassing distinct state-wise cuisines etc., there can be a similar article for cinema as well. That is my point of view. --Ekabhishektalk 11:25, 1 January 2012 (UTC)

Hi. When you recently edited Zari, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Persian (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

DYK reviewing opportunity

Dear Ekabhishek,

Do you have any interest in WP coverage of meditation and other spiritual practices, sometimes called "contemplative practices"?

I created an article and submitted it for coverage in "Did You Know" - here is the page for my article at DYK: Template:Did_you_know_nominations/Contemplative_Practices_in_Action. One reviewer had some concerns, but after I addressed them, and indicated the hook & article need a new review in light of the changes, no one has done so. Perhaps you'd consider doing so, if you have any interest in the topic? (as you probably already know, I think essentially anyone can serve as a reviewer at DYK) Many thanks -- Presearch (talk) 00:13, 11 January 2012 (UTC)

Many thanks again for helping move it along! Have a great month! -- Presearch (talk) 00:40, 16 January 2012 (UTC)

I have noticed they have undone your edit too. They have done the same thing for my same edit in that article. It is unfortunate. Note

Dear Ekabhishek,

Given your interests, I am surprised that you ventured into the "uranium poisoning in the Punjab" since it is not particularly scientific and advances some of the conspiracy theories. I also was surprised to see no changes noted in 2011 or 2012 since substantial reference had been made to a bogus research study that claims that there was high level of uranium in the hair in Fallujah. This study, orchestrated by Christopher Busby and his phony charity The Cancer and Birth Defects Foundation (sounds like a charity, solicits donations, but actually is a private corporation and does not hold charitable status) and posted to an on-line for profit journal that appears to have a very weak peer review program, is bogus because depleted uranium never was used in or near Fallujah. Busby has as much as acknowledged the same by claiming that some form of "enriched uranium" weapon had been used instead. There is no such entity and the DU kinetic energy penetrator has not been used since 2003 during the drive on Baghdad. DU never was used in Afghanistan so the claims that the Indian uranium might be from DU used in Afghanistan are totally bogus and that used in the Gulf War has not travelled more than 100 meters from the target tanks, not blowing around the world as claimed by Leuren Moret, a Busby associate. I look forward to further correspondence. My direct e-mail is DUStory dash owner at yahoo groups dot com.

How can I add image to the article. If wikipedia doesn't allow new user to add pics then you can do this. rhanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Khaskhabarhp (talkcontribs) 09:42, 26 May 2012 (UTC)

  • Hi! Do you own the copyright of the image? That is, Is it taken by you, then you can easily upload it, when after a few days or a specific number of edits you are allowed to upload it, nothing to worry about that. Meanwhile, you might like to read Wikipedia:Image use policy for further details. Keep adding elsewhere in your areas of interest, there is so much to explore! --Ekabhishektalk 10:10, 26 May 2012 (UTC)

Hi, I see that you recently updated the page for Mohan Kapoor, that I originally started. He is the Official Hindi voice-dubbing artist for Kevin Bacon. I was wondering, since you are Indian, do you happen to know who did the Hindi-Voice-dubbing role for Elijah Wood's role as Frodo Baggins from The Lord of the Rings film trilogy? I asked several other Indian users on Wikipedia that are involved in the Dubbing Industry, but I have not yet heard a word from them, about the answer. If you can find out who did it, Please let me know, and you can leave a message on my Talk page. Thank you. --BlueMario1016talk 22:36, 5 June 2012 (UTC)

  • Where do you normally go to find Info about Hindi voice-dubbing artists, when it comes to re-searching, since there's not really a single Hindi-dubbing database online that exists at the moment (Unless you count SugarMediaz.com)? Are you also involved in the Indian Dubbing Industry? --BlueMario1016talk 13:34, 6 June 2012 (UTC)
  • Actually I normally don't work on dubbing artists articles, I added info of the above person as I am aware of his work as an actor, so I wouldn't be of much help here! --Ekabhishektalk 03:50, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
  • Oh dear! Looks like this might be a bit harder then I thought. Do you know someone on Wikipedia that's into Hindi dubbing artists, that can also try to help find the Hindi voice artist for Elijah Wood's role as Frodo Baggins from The Lord of the Rings film series? --BlueMario1016talk 07:29, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
  • Nope, no clue! --Ekabhishektalk 12:46, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
  • Wait! I have another idea! You can ask someone on Wikipedia that's from India and that's interested into finding Hindi voice dubbing artists. Can you hopefully do that and maybe one person may know a director that knows the person that gave Hindi dubbing voice to Elijah Wood's role as Frodo Baggins? It just may be worth a chance that's will enough to take! --BlueMario1016talk 16:15, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
  • OK Thank you, but how do I ask someone on Wikipedia:WikiProject Film/Indian cinema task force? Is there a talk page? I can't seem to find one. :( Please help me, if you know what to do on how I can get to this article's talk page, without having to vandalize a page by mistake. Thanks. By the way, If you have any friends that are interested into Indian Dubbing Industries and Indian voice actors, is it OK to ask them the Hindi voice for Elijah Wood's role as Frodo as well? If you ask one, you can show me who you gave the info to. --BlueMario1016talk 16:00, 8 June 2012 (UTC)
  • You are right this project doesn't have a notice board. You can ask project coordinators mentioned here, they might be able to guide you. --Ekabhishektalk 03:48, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
  • Alright, thank you for the info. I contacted this person named: Animeshkulkarni. Will you also please try to see if you can also ask some participants on that article to see if they can find the Hindi voice-dubbing artist for Elijah Wood's role as Frodo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings series too? It would actually make the job a bit easier. --BlueMario1016talk 12:12, 9 June 2012 (UTC)

Hi Ekabhishek! I want to bring article Diwali to your attention. As we all know, Diwali is primarily a Hindu festival. But right now, the article is not categorised as Category:Hindu festivals. Instead it is categorised as Category:Jain festivals, which gives an indication that Diwali is a Jain festival, not a Hindu festival. I feel that Category:Hindu festivals should be placed before Category:Jain festivals in the article. I can't edit the page as it is protected. The article Keshav Dev Temple has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

There has been a {{notability}} tag on this article for the past three years, and the issue has yet to be resolved.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Interested to nominate your name as an admin

Importance: High

I am interested to nominated your name as an admin. Following step 1 of nominating someone else, I have to ask a candidate before nominating his name. Please tell me what you think!

Some unnecessary details

--Tito Dutta 20:35, 3 August 2012 (UTC)

  • Some months ago another editor had also asked me about this, then the list of requirements he suggested, looked too daunting, so I declined. In the meantime I did released at times when encountering vandalism, rolling back or plain shifting or helping with someone's request, not having such rights was a handicap. So now if you are assured that the requirements are met as things stand, then do go ahead; I can devote whatever time I get in making fruitful contributions, be it content writings, or admin work. Thank you all the same for the faith... no matter how this goes.. --Ekabhishektalk 03:42, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
Part 1
Questions you'll be asked:
1. What administrative work do you intend to take part in?
2. What are your best contributions to Wikipedia, and why?
3. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or have other users caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
You can see sample additional questions here: Wikipedia:Requests for adminship
Part 2
You may have to open your edit counter page (point 6 here) --Tito Dutta 04:46, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
Sample question
(Please don't take it seriously, just sharing my opinion what I had asked if I was a reviewer/voter and I want to see how you answer it, again please don't take it seriously!
You are frequently creating disambiguation pages, but you are not following MOS:DAB always (As in here, here, here) – I have checked only first few articles and most of those had problems like a) in DAB page nothing else should be linked other than article title, b) punctuation (specially full stop should not be used at the end of short description etc! Please share your opinion!--Tito Dutta 05:04, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
I have checked most of your articles and image files. Overall excellent! Thankfully you are not Dr. Blofeld, otherwise I had to check 88 thousand articles :-D (I often wonder how that editor created 88,000 articles in Wikipedia, anyway...).
Sample questions
What do you think of using IMDb as reference in Wikipedia? Do you agree with Wikipedia:Citing IMDb?
At least two of your articles require Copyediting– 1) Devigarh, 2) National Bravery Award. Do you have any planning to work on these?
Thanks for creating the editcount page! --Tito Dutta 08:09, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
Part 3
I have checked your contribution in details (including your contribution in Deepa Mehta's articles etc in other languages wiki) etc. Over all excellent! I think we should go forward with nomination now. Tell me when you are ready, I'll start nomination procedure after next 24 hours! Also tell the name of the editor who asked you to become an admin, we can include them too in the procedure!--Tito Dutta 15:09, 6 August 2012 (UTC)

I thought of doing so. Are you sure it'll not be WP:CANVAS --Tito Dutta 02:13, 9 August 2012 (UTC)
It is kind of canvass and editors can take the topic for building opposes thus it would be much better to not to do that. If those editors in past had asked Abhishek to nominate him then yes, you can ask but not if they are not involved in similar things- I'd advise to not to do it as I don't think that it is the case here. Re: Thank you

You're welcome! Sorry for late reply. I have been busy with some new articles on Cinema Halls of Kolkata like– Globe Cinema (Kolkata), Metro Cinema (Kolkata), Paradise Cinema (Kolkata), Priya Cinema (Kolkata).. In last 1–2 month I have created few articles on Theatre auditoriums in Kolkata, see in {{Bengali theatre}}. Still at least 4 more articles on Kolkata Cinema (halls) to be created. I think after that Kolkata will be the first/only Indian city to have so many articles in Wikipedia on cinema (halls). I am mainly concentrating single-screen theatres and not multiplex. The worst problem is I have to study very hard to find reference for these articles. I have found this Telegraph article. If I find few more good articles like this, ho jayegi balle balle.
After completing works with Bengali theatres and Bengali cinema halls, I wish to start working (creating and expanding) articles related to Bengali little magazines
With my good wishes. --Tito Dutta 13:21, 21 August 2012 (UTC)

Bengali play

After creating articles on Bengali theatre groups, personalities, auditoriums (though lots of works to be done here), I have started working on individual plays– I have started with 2010 Bengali socio-political play Birpurush (play) and my dream work– 1944 classic Nabanna (play). Could you help in the second one (Nabanna)? Ut is a 1944 (IPTA) and 1948 (Bohurupee) play which is a milestone in both Bengali and Indian theatres.

After creating some more Bengali play articles, I have plan to work on at least two Hindi plays– Rudaali (not the film, I mean Usha Ganguli's Rudaali, I'll move the film article to Rudaali (film) and make it a disambiguation page or do you think we should have three different articles on it 1) novel 2) film 3) play? anyway...) and Mahatma Vs Gandhi (play)! I'll seek your suggestion about more best of the best Hindi plays we should work on in Wikipedia. --Tito Dutta 20:23, 22 August 2012 (UTC)

Growing up we have merely heard the stories of partition scars, thought such act were not humanly possible, holocaust was too far, so really our first brush with such tragic mindset was only during the 1984 riots, followed by 1992, but truly it was 2002 that left most people who grew up in a euphoric post-independence bubble of Indian secularism badly shaken when we saw the truth behind our collective facades...sad you saw all that..., but I have hope when I see your positive and realist outlook...--Ekabhishektalk 16:43, 1 September 2012 (UTC)

Sister Nivedita template colour

Greetings,
I am confused on the colour choice of Template:Sister Nivedita, earlier I used light black to express the sadness of Sister's life. Now, I have changed to bright saffron((with the meaning, though she was not a monk (Sannyasin but more than a monk). I am looking for some colur which will match the following themes–

  • In her young age she was committed to marry a Welsh young man who died somehow and Sister never married in her life.
  • In her epitaph it is written "Here reposes Sister Nivedita who gave her all to India." (this line is really striking)
  • She came to India in 1898 (at that time Sister was 30 years old, though she met Swami Vivekananda in London in 1895) and dedicated the rest of the life for the service of India, wrote multiple books, opened a school. She also worked for Indian nationalism and freedom movement.
  • Her life in India was not very happy one. Her attachment with Ramakrishna Mission broke for some reason etc.

Now, which colour matches these all? Any suggestion please?
Regards!
Tito Dutta

About colour you can choose the colour from here.--Tito Dutta 09:37, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
(talk page stalker) For being "Nivedita" (Dedicated to God) i would have suggested the same orange shade of Template:Swami Vivekananda. But as her work wasn't solely religious, some other colour would also work out. I didn't understand why Template:Ramakrishna is of sky blue colour. That could very well be of the same orange shade. I, in fact, was gonna suggest that blue shade for Nivedita; it sort of represents India. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 09:54, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
Also i am very glad Tito that you are putting such a thought process on colour selection. Good job! §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 09:55, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
Greetings,
Ramakrishna was not a Sannyasi, that's why saffron was not chosen. In The Gospel of Sri Ramakrishna (collection of all his sayings), he told many times that colour of Krishna/Kali or colour of sky/water these are symbolic. As colour of sky or water seems to be blue but, if we go closer we find it is colourless, similarly if we approach (try to find) Krishna/Kali/God, we'll find his colour is not blue/black. Bule/black here actually is the symbol of our ignorance. He has some more quotes on light blue/blue like light blue symbolizes vastness, eternity, that's why that colour was chosen! Please change if you want! --Tito Dutta 10:09, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
Oh no! This explanation is good. Glad i asked. But in such relation sky blue won't suit Sister Nivedita. §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 10:23, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
Don't know! That's why asking! --Tito Dutta 10:27, 12 October 2012 (UTC)
  • Hello Tito! If you had meditated on it, this task would have been fairly easy, simply tune in to her energy, as we don't go anywhere after we leave the mortal shell do we, all here near by... In any case, I am glad you and Dharma intuitively went for the blue shade, which is bang on!.. and light blue at that would be perfect for this very wise, loving and joyous lady! --Ekabhishektalk 17:13, 12 October 2012 (UTC)

Bengali theatre

I need some help in this template, Template:Bengali theatre, can you add few entries in Bangladesh section and comment on color combination? --Tito Dutta (talk) 10:19, 16 October 2012 (UTC)

  • The Nabanna image has some problems. Per commons consensus, all Indian PD images without PD-1923 tag will be deleted. The image may face problem then. The Academy of Fine Arts image is okay– under CC SA license. The Detroit template is simple and elegant. Bengali template size will get doubled, in next few months I'll create some articles on Bangladeshi theatre, they too have a rich heritage, the good point is their newspapers like The Daily Star etc cover their theatres regularly. About colours, I chose colors nation's common colours. • I'd go for the subtle colour variations in the Detroit template, (two shades of blue), so that it doesn't overshadow the article itself, also choose the image you find befitting.. Will add whatever comes to my mind... --Ekabhishektalk 14:30, 16 October 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the relook. Just a small note. You've retained the version which was vandalized, where the lead is completely missing. Perhaps you could retain the version that is the non-vandalized version. Thanks and regards. Wifione Message 10:14, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

Amity University

Dear Ekabhishek,

I am the President of Amity and would request for your help in rectifying a few things on the Amity University website. Not fully knowing how the environment on Wikipedia works it is very difficult for us, but you seem to be an expert. As you may be aware, Amity is a large non-profit foundation in India. We have 100,000 students across many schools and Universities. We are a very honest and hardworking group with a clear dedication to serving out Country India. Because of our honesty and the rapid growth of Amity, we have always faced problems. For some reason someone is very adament in writing all negative things on the Amity University Page. This very badly impacts the students who are studying at Amity. There are two issues that are not correct and keep coming up. One is about AICTE. The law of the land says that Universities do not come under AICTE and do not need any permission from them. Now it seems that some foreign journalist in one of the papers wrote that Amity does not have AICTE approval or it was withdrawn. There is no case of it being withdrawn as Amity University never had it in the first place. Now people keeping referring to this wrong statement and uploading on the page. This is creating a lot of confusion for our students as well as students wanting to apply and the industry who want to recruit from Amity. Not everyone is aware of the laws of the country and by reading this they think that Amity University is doing something wrong. We request for your help to resolve this. There is also the issue of some warrants against Dr Chauhan. This is also absolutely wrong. There were some people who tried to blackmail the group and used all their power with the media and politics as we did not relent. We have documentation which shows that there is nothing at like this. what happened is that a journalist published a false story in a magasine. This magasine subsequently removed the material when the owners realised what the journalist had wrongly done. But in the meantime other journalists saw the article and wrote about it thinking it was true. That is why there are wrong stories from many years ago still floating around the internet. It is now coming up again because someone is proactively putting it up on wikipedia. how do we solve this? It is very unfortunate that absolutely wrong information is being given about a living person.

Many thanks for your help. 165.123.45.193 (talk) 19:06, 7 November 2012 (UTC)

Please contact me at president@amity.edu. Many thanks. It is very urgent. 76.124.109.233 (talk) 08:37, 8 November 2012 (UTC)

I would request you to see doc on wifione.hpage.com 38.98.231.35 (talk) 04:37, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

I understand your concerns, wikipedia has elaborate ways for Dispute resolution, so please give this article a thorough read. Here you would be guided to take up the issue with one of the Disputes resolution Noticeboards or specifically Requests for comment or the next option Dispute resolution noticeboard, if you feel befitting, where it can be better handled.
Under WikiProject Cooperation, "employees working on assignments from their employers" or a "paid editor" are also offered help, see here, otherwise directly editing themselves puts them in a Conflict of interest. Hope this helps.. Thanks! --Ekabhishektalk 06:19, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

Akshay Kumar

Hi, I saw the note on WP:RPP for the protection but you haven't semi-protected the article yet. Could you please protect the article? Thanks. Torreslfchero (talk) 09:26, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

My pleasure. I just noticed the bot's comment on WP:RPP and just left a note to inform you about that. The article has been vandalized by many IPs earlier also. Anyways, thanks for protecting. Torreslfchero (talk) 09:36, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

Aruna Roy

An article edited by you a couple of years ago is now on WP:ANI. User RobertRosen claims RMAF is not a reliable source for sourcing personal details of Aruna Roy. I took him to WP:RSN which too failed to make things clear. I checked the article's history and found that a different version of the text subject to dispute was added by you in 2009. The same was removed by RobertRosen in 2011 stating that the entire section is copied from the source. What is your say? morelMWilliam 19:13, 9 November 2012 (UTC)

  • William, Thanks for bringing it to my attention, though I find it hard to believe as to why would anybody do such a defacing of the article, no matter what the pretext, unless they have a personal agenda. On the larger issue - Are we here to build wikipedia or to destroy it, one article at a time, using rules as an alibi? On my 2009 edits, all of it is gone now, I do not believe it was copied. RMAF is a reliable and respected organization and so is Aruna Roy, which saddens me more, as when it is is missing from our intentions behind editing here, we can go horribly wrong, no matter how justified. Otherwise we'd do everything to build wikipedia and use a bit of common sense. I wish you the best in your efforts.. --Ekabhishektalk 04:19, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
Could you post at WP:ANI? I seem to be the only one there who finds RobertRosen's intentions questionable. And you call it 'defacing', while at WP:ANI some elen of the roads warned that I would be blocked under WP:NPA if I use the word 'defacing'. This RobertRosen is more active in pages related to this India Against Corruption phenomenon and I also caught him removing controversies sections from the politicians who were named and shamed. morelMWilliam 06:10, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
His personal motives would get more clear if you have a look at this.morelMWilliam 06:12, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
@Ekabhishek. Hi (again). This is just to clarify that I removed that bio material from Aruna Roy as a COPYVIO (I didn't know then you had added it .. and it was not an edit-war, in any case that is irrelevant) during a general cleanup of the article because rmaf.org.ph was (and continues to be) a copyright asserted website and I can't find that material as published without copyright. About the new RS issue Williams is raising for text from the same source, the opinion on the WP:RSN notice board he took it to went against him. I am now coming round to the view that Williams is part of an off-wiki clique which edit-warred in the India Against Corruption article last week and which I had to clean up (as usual) after them. Take care. RobertRosen (talk) 07:21, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
Hi! I'm now thinking what if both of you are right, and since we all love being right, it would leave us with unending righteous wars and a vicious aftertaste, not to forget two editors in a very bad mood. This would be highly undesirable. As such, articles are not as important as your personal well being and peace, so I would suggest let's take a breather and give ourselves a fresh start, whenever we feel better. I am sure both of you would be able to reach a consensus, and there would be a better article, henceforth. I'd respect whatever you'd decide together... --Ekabhishektalk 08:45, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

Congrats on becoming an admin. I don't know how I missed that one. I have been asking Williams repeatedly to cool off, take it to the article talk page and then on to DR etc. I hardly get any time to edit at Wikipedia, so the most effective method I've evolved/devised to use my time here efficiently is to focus on BLPs of prominent Indians and "immediately delete" text which contravenes WP norms/policies. Frankly I don't have the time now to lovingly add well sourced material (which I would love to do at leisure after I retire). RobertRosen (talk) 11:54, 10 November 2012 (UTC)

Regarding Ms. Roy, I posted a question about something you wrote on the talk page a few years ago. Λυδαcιτγ 22:23, 17 November 2012 (UTC)

A request

Hi, Can you help, or even request others, to fix the article on Savita Halappanavar? Thanks, Lalmohan Babu (talk) 12:14, 15 November 2012 (UTC)

Hello, I see presently the article has been redirected under WP:BLP1E to 'Abortion in the Republic of Ireland', though the rule states: "WP:BLP1E should be applied only to biographies of living people.". Even though she is known only for single event, she can have a separate article, if the response to her death grows, you can re-create a separate article, provided you have a substantial text in it. I'd suggest you create a full article in your sandbox (see this), before recreating it. --Ekabhishektalk 02:54, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
Thanks for your note. I suppose that unlike the other Savita Bhabhi, this one deserves a decent Wikipedia obituary. Joe Stalin was right when he said, :"The death of one man is a tragedy, the death of millions is a statistic." For a beautiful woman, undistinguished in life, becoming a tragic figure in her adopted country, and lamented by thousands there after her death, indeed needs to be retold. Just think, how many Desi ladies actually become tragic figures in their adopted countries? This one did. For all expatriate ladies getting killed unnecessarily in India, none would have become a tragic figure, and be mourned by millions in India. Regards. Lalmohan Babu (talk) 13:03, 16 November 2012 (UTC)
Excellent work. Cheers !! Lalmohan Babu (talk) 08:05, 17 November 2012 (UTC)
Thanks! Right now it is in its early stages of development, so I hope you'll contribute therein, as you feel passionate about the issue. All the best. --Ekabhishektalk 11:20, 17 November 2012 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Actress Nanda in film Adhikar (1971).jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Actress Nanda in film Adhikar (1971).jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. VernoWhitney (talk) 19:54, 19 November 2012 (UTC)

Hi Abhishek!
Good work on the article. (Did you have edit conflict with me? Sorry for that.) I found something contradictory. Hence thought of pointing it out her. Was the 1971 film version of Shantata! Court Chalu Aahe actually her first film? This report says that she debuted in 1964 on the big screen. Which one is right? §§Dharmadhyaksha§§ {T/C} 04:39, 11 December 2012 (UTC)

Hi..can you also find the film's name, meanwhile I will make other changes, as in removing the debut film text from Shanata..--Ekabhishektalk 04:50, 11 December 2012 (UTC)

Crossings Republik

Hi, Thanks for spending time on the Crossings Republik page yesterday. Not sure if you are actually aware about the township .. I thought that such an integrated township should be up on wikipedia as well so i did upload the inital version yesterday ... With time i would be adding more sections (transport/entertainment/In the news ) alongwith some photographs as well . Cradlecog (talk) 07:23, 13 December 2012 (UTC)

Yes, I am aware of the name, though did some further research further, on google, plus had to move in as much of the text was copy pasted from the website, which is not allow under WP:COPYVIO, and read like an ad, so removed some and rewrote the rest.. You can add some other features, with proper references, thanks!--Ekabhishektalk 07:34, 13 December 2012 (UTC)

Padatik theatre group!

Did you create this redirect Padatik (theatre group) for this Dhaka based theatre group? I'll need that title for that Bangladeshi group (might need deletion of this redirect)! Lots of coverages out there! Do we have any chance to create the article on the Indian group, if so, we can make Padatik (theatre group) a disambig page! --Tito Dutta (talk) 12:22, 20 December 2012 (UTC)

Since it redirects here, it is not about the Dhaka group, it was a noted group formed by Shyamanand Jalan in 1972 in Kokata. You can add a DAB page, but make sure you have new link created simultaneously, since this one is linked to various articles. Though you can create both the articles, why not. Since you are prolific these days.. :) --Ekabhishektalk 04:42, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
I have started both articles–

Since you have started Padatik (theatre group), to keep the page history in track , please do the other works there too. Note, here is another disambigaution page Padatik, so, it might be a double disambig! --Tito Dutta (talk) 06:47, 21 December 2012 (UTC)
