Problems with upload of Image:Fox Kids Network Logo 1996-1997.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Fox Kids Network Logo 1996-1997.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from, who created it, or what the copyright status is. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

To add this information, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the information to the image's description. If you need help, post your question on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Animal Crossing Wii Unoffical Logo.JPG)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Animal Crossing Wii Unoffical Logo.JPG. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:39, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You tried to add the image to Animal Crossing (Wii), but you made a mistake in the infobox syntax. I would have fixed the infobox myself, but after reviewing the image, I found a few reasons why the image might not be better than the image that was there before. See Image talk:Animal Crossing Wii Unoffical Logo.JPG. So instead, I reverted your change to the article. --Damian Yerrick (talk | stalk) 15:33, 20 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Mario Bandstand.JPG

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Mario Bandstand.JPG. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 17:32, 28 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Television channels

[edit]

Please stop adding international television channels to "original channel" lists (as there's usually only one original channel) in infoboxes and stop changing channel names to the programming block (Jetix, Fox Kids, etc.) as those are not channels.

I have been fixing these edits of yours for some time now. If you perform any of these similar edits again, your account will be blocked for a period of time.—Ryūlóng (竜龙) 13:59, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Spyro the Dragon (series). Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, your edits will be considered vandalism and you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. TheLeftorium 16:44, 21 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Power Rangers. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, your edits will be considered vandalism and you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia.

  • As a group, the article's editors consensually agreed on the fact that counting Rangers under a color if the color is not flat out in their name, or listing colors for upcoming seasons that have not seen any footage or promotion in the US (and thus, it's unknown what Disney may or may not change), violates WP:V. The hidden messages are there to keep people from making those edits. Please do not ignore the messages and make said edits anyways. Arrowned (talk) 15:23, 27 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (File:Nick on CBS Logo (2002-2004).JPG)

[edit]

You've uploaded File:Nick on CBS Logo (2002-2004).JPG, and indicated that it's used under Wikipedia's rules for non-free images. However, it's not presently used in any articles. Wikipedia policy requires that non-free images be either used or deleted, so if this image isn't used in an article in the next week, it will be deleted.

Thanks for uploading File:The Comedy Channel logo.jpg. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Non free images

[edit]

When you upload a non free image you need to add a non free image tag and a non-free use rationale to the image or the image will be put up for speedy deletion i removed the speedy deletion tags and added non free image tags (using FurMe) and non-free use rationales to last 3 images you uploaded but i can't add this stuff to all the non free images you upload. MGS4 World Flagicon

[edit]

Hi there. I reverted your change on MGS4 a few minutes ago - flagicons shouldn't be used in VG infoboxes (see WP:FLAG), instead you should use the vgrelease template. Though MGS4 was a single-day international release and so doesn't need a template (the INT in the template documentation is for International version). Thanks! Speedy deletion of Japan System Supply

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Japan System Supply requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. The article Youko Teppozuka has been proposed for deletion because under Wikipedia policy, all biographies of living persons created after March 18, 2010, must have at least one source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't take offense. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners or ask at Wikipedia:Help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. DAJF (talk) 23:26, 1 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Ubisoft Party Ltd. requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for organizations and companies. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please discuss controversial edits

[edit]

While it is encouraged to be bold in making edits, it is similarly encouraged for others to revert these bold edits if they disagree. The correct action is to discuss the change on the article's talk page, not to continue to re-insert your change without discussion. See Wikipedia:BOLD, revert, discuss cycle for details. Please do not repeat your change to Super Nintendo Entertainment System until after discussion at Talk:SNES#3 Consoles in the info box??? Two versions of the Super Famicom logo??? reaches a consensus. If you do continue to repeat such changes without discussion, you may be blocked from editing. Anomie 19:24, 9 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Non-English Information in VG Infoboxes

[edit]

Hello. Please do not add non-English-language detail (eg Japanese or South Korean) to video game infoboxes, as you did to the Halo series. Infoboxes (and articles generally) should only include this information if the game was developed in those countries - Halo was developed in the US, and so shouldn't have the detail. Thanks! Fin© 12:20, 14 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Again, please do not add the detail as you did to Mickey Mania: The Timeless Adventures of Mickey Mouse. Thanks! Fin© 10:34, 15 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of ThinkPoint, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.2-viruses.com/remove-thinkpoint.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. A tag has been placed on ThinkPoint requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a clear copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Achita Pramote

[edit]

Hi, I've made some adjustments to the Achita Pramote article that you created a few hours ago. You may want to review them, and in particular note that the WP:MOSFLAG guideline means that the Thai flag is inappropriate in this article.

I am slightly concerned that of the three references provided, two are non-functioning and the third is written in (probably) Thai. WP:NOENG provides guidance regarding the last website, the reliability of which I cannot ascertain because I have no idea what it is due to your failure to follow WP:Citing sources. Regarding the two deadlinks, it is highly unusual in my experience for links to go dead so soon after being cited. For this reason, unless they reappear or you can find alternate sources for the statements, I am inclined to delete both the links and the statements that they support. - Sitush (talk) 21:07, 15 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Adding reference on wiki articles

[edit]

Please do not forget to add references for the content you add to Wikipedia. Adding a well formatted references is very easy to do. While editing any article or a wikipage, on the top of the edit window you will see a toolbar which says "cite" click on it and then click on "templates", then choose the most appropriate template and fill as many details as you can, this will add a well formatted reference that would be helpful in case the link web URL becomes inactive after some time. thanks and regards -- ÐℬigXЯaɣ 12:20, 4 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sources - Third Warning

[edit]

Please note that this is your third warning on this subject.

According to Wikipedia's biographies of living people policy, all biographies of living people must include and be written based upon reliable, secondary sources. As you continue to edit without any obvious regard for these policies, I'll assume that you merely do not understand the policies in question.

Usually (not always, but usually), reliable sources refer to things such as newspaper articles, magazine articles or books published through a reputable publisher with an editorial process. A small number few web sites also meet this criteria, but most do not. IMDB is often not seen as a reliable source, nor is Wikipedia itself, nor is anything on a free hosting solution, Wikia, or even a random apparent list of job applicants at a Institute for Fashion Technology that bears no obvious relation to the biographies you are sourcing.

And by "secondary" sources, well, this excludes press releases, even reprinted ones, Facebook pages, the subject's own web site, and so on.

Learn more about reliable sources at WP:Identifying Reliable Sources.

Please stop creating biographies that are not backed by reliable sources. If you have questions about the appropriateness of a given source, discuss it first with another editor or ask at WP:RSN. It's clear to me that you really are trying to help build Wikipedia, and I respect that. But if you continue to push new biographies based on such clearly unreliable sources, eventually, you may eventually end up blocked as a result. Please drop me a line on my talk page if you have any questions, I'll be glad to help. --joe deckertalk to me 18:47, 7 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Non-free rationale for File:Zombies PAL cover.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Zombies PAL cover.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Voice actors

[edit]

Please don't create categories such as "Lithuanian voice actors", "Latvian voice actors" or "Slovak voice actors" unless you're prepared to immediately populate them with at least one or two appropriate articles. Wikipedia does not allow categories to sit empty — so if you create the categories without populating them, then they have to be deleted. Bearcat (talk) 05:55, 11 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I read about that - very sorry to hear that. But Sridevi is not only a Tamil actress - she is a very very famous Hindi actress also and the dubbing was required for her "Hindi" roles, not the Hindi dub-overs of her Tamil films. And yes, later on she did the Hindi dubbing for her own films. Varun.i1991 (talk) 06:04, 17 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your writing

[edit]

Hello,

To be frank, the quality of your writing is very poor. It is bad enough that it has to be corrected by others. Your recent edits at Skylanders are a good example of this. I figured I could use the first sentence to give some examples of where your writing needs improvement.

"Right before Activision switched developers to Toys for Bob, when it came to creating a new idea for a future Spyro game, Helios Interactive had a thought of making "Spyro's Kingdom" into a MMORPG game, where players can customize their own Dragon character, as well designing their own cave and level up their character by completing quests handed over by Spyro, Cynder and Sparx, which would have been the first Spyro game in the series, where players make their own characters."

  • This run-on sentence is far too long. You should never write a sentence that needs more than five commas, and usually four is too many. Also notice how many times you change subject in that sentence.
  • "had a thought of making" isn't grammatically correct. You'd be better off with something like "worked on making" or "considered making".
  • "where players can customize their own Dragon character" - you used the wrong tense; "can" is present tense, you should have used "could have". Also, it should have read "dragon characters", plural, because the different players would have had different dragons.
  • "as well designing their own cave and level up their character by completing quests" - you switch grammatical structure twice here. You shouldn't have used an -ing ending for design. Also, you shouldn't have broken up the two parts about the characters with the part about the cave. This sentence would properly have ended more like this:
"...players could customize and level up their own dragon characters, and design their own caves.
  • "by completing quests handed over by Spyro, Cynder and Sparx" - "handing over" isn't proper terminology for assigning a job to someone. You could have just used "given".
  • "which would have been the first Spyro game in the series, where players make their own characters." - This definitely should have been a new sentence, and comma doesn't belong in the middle. You don't need to say "the first Spyro game" and "in the series"; of course it's in the series if it's a Spyro game. Finally, more tense issues. Here's a better example:
"This would have been the first Spyro game where players made their own characters".

Hopefully that helps at least a little bit. If you don't know English grammar very well, it might be better for you to make suggestions for content on article talk pages rather than adding content to articles yourself. Some guy (talk) 06:28, 29 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Whether or not it is your primary language, you do not appear to have a grasp of grammar. Your response to me also had several errors. The problem is, if you write very poor-quality text, it is more work for other people to fix what you wrote than it would be to do it from scratch. In this case, an edit request on the talk page might be more useful. Some guy (talk) 05:15, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Prachi Save

[edit]

It is very easy to recognise her voice and she most definitely the voice of Aang or whoever the character is. I'm sorry, but I did not recognise any other voice in that cartoon - because it airs atan odd time, like 11:00 pm and it has stopped siring now.

Cardcaptors

[edit]

Yes, I am aware of that. But the Hindi dubbed version was must probably the dub that Nelvana did - the one with 39 episodes, because the theme song is the same as the English song - not according to the Japanese original and I think that they used the names Madison instead of Tomoyo, Tori in place of Toya, and so on... which is why I changed the name and the voice actress to the English version.

And you also had asked if I am involved in the Indian Dubbing industry - I am not, but I know voices quite well. :)

I don't know because I didn't watch the movie in Hindi. If you could provide a clip for me from the movie, then maybe I could figure it out - it is not available on DVD or VCD here. Varun.i1991 (talk) 05:30, 3 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Johnny Bravo

[edit]

Johnny's voice sounded vaguely familiar, but I can't seem to recognise it. Bunny Bravo was most probably voiced by Geeta Khanna. She's the one who voices most of the grandmothers and mothers. Eg: She voiced Queen Genevieve in Princess and the Pauper, Witch Gothel in Barbie as Rapunzel, and some characters in Looney Tunes - a witch.

That's a big thing that your'e talking about! :D But I'll think about it. Hindi wiki

[edit]

The work that you've done is amazing! But I don't think that I'll be able to create a wikipedia about Hindi dubbing actors right now. I'm trying to collect more information on the existing pages. I believe that I may have found more on Mona Shetty and Parigna Pandya Shah. So, I'm sorry but I wont be able to create a separate wiki on voice actors. But I'll continue to edit and make new pages about the same on this one. Varun.i1991 (talk) 04:20, 26 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

And Hindi does not have a word for dubbing. The translator may translate it as Dabinga, but that is according to Hindi language's pronunciation. A is pronounced very lightly, almost like u, so the English translation of dubbing in Hindi will be डबिंग whose pronunciation is "Dubbing" as it is said in English. Varun.i1991 (talk) 04:24, 26 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I found a long interview of Mona Shetty here -> http://www.sugarmediaz.com/nm_cat1_profile_Mona_Shetty.htm And Parigna Pandya Shah - I'm still finding some info on her. I'll let you know once I've found out. I found that Pinky Rajput also dubbed for Ursula in the 2 and 3the part of spider-man, In the 1st part, she voiced the town citizens and in the 3rd part, she also voiced a news reporter. Varun.i1991 (talk) 03:46, 27 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Parigna Pandya Shah voiced some characters in the Hindi dub of "Are you afraid of the dark?", the Canadian horror show. That's all. She also might have voiced Gwen Tennyson but I'm not at all sure about that (I don't have any iron-clad proof).

Varun.i1991 (talk) 13:49, 2 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

There's a mistake in the edit that you made on Parigna Pandya's page - Are you afraid of the dark has recently been dubbed and airs on Sonic Nickelodeon, not Nick India. And I think that it'll be best if the part of Gwen is removed, because the voice may not be same (but I'm quite sure about "Are you afraid of the dark"). If I find some proof of her role as Gwen, then I'll certainly let you know and you can put it on the page again. I am removing the edit of Gwen's role. I hope that that's fine with you. :)

I'm very sorry to have not replied before. I was really busy with my studies and college. I saw the clip before, but I can't seem to recognise the voice actor. Harry, Ron and Hermione are undoubtedly Karan, nachiket and Parigna. I also didn't recognise Lupin's voice. Sorry.

Um, no. I don't know any more roles of him. But I found out that Prachi Save voiced Lyra Belaqua in the Hindi dub of "Golden Compass" and Krishna in the 2012 Indian animated feature film "Krishna aur Kans". Her real name is 'Prachi Save Sathi' and maybe I've found a photograph of her too. But her page was deleted!

List of Indian dubbing artists

[edit]

Hello, how are you?. I am really amazed about the amount of information you were able to gather. I just had a query. Usually, when Tamil films get dubbed into Telugu, many Telugu actors dub for them. Especially if a character in the Tamil film was done by a popular actor, then usually a popular actor from Telugu dubs for that actor/role. I see that names of such actors haven't been listed in the article. So, can such actors be listed as well?. If so, just let me know and i might be able to help. Again, amazing work and thanks. Krzna (talk) 04:11, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

And also many Telugu/Tamil playback singers (like Chinmayi) do the same as well. Also let me know, if such names can be added to the list. Thanks Krzna (talk) 04:14, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Tamil films are made in Tamil Nadu and Telugu films are made in Andhra Pradesh, both are southern states in India. I can't help much with English dubbing in any Indian language. I might be able to identify or list many Telugu actors who usually dub for such movies. If you think those names can also be listed, then just let me know. I can add them to the list. Krzna (talk) 21:13, 17 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,

I have deleted the Prachi Save Sathi article as it was a recreation of the deleted Prachi Save article, which was deleted following a discussion at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Prachi Save - the article was substantially the same as the deleted version.

When I closed the discussion, in my closing comment I said that should someone find suitable sourcing I would not be averse to restoring it upon request - unfortunately, none of the new sourcing meets the reliable sourcing criteria - YouTube is not considered a reliable source as Wikipedia defines it.

Lion King Urdu

[edit]

Hi! I didn't reply on YT, because they were performing the site maintenance. Now, about the Lion King Urdu version, it's very confusing because I saw the page that you told me, and sure enough, what you said was perfectly correct. But when I saw the Urdu dub on YT (as it said), it is actually the Hindi dub, because the voices of Timon and Pumba are identical to the Hindi dubbed series of Timon and Pumba that airs on Disney channel, India. What's more is that Pumba's voice actor is the same one who performs the role of Pugzie in Tom and the Jerry (The Movie) and Spike in the entire Tom and Jerry franchise (films, cartoon series and all). He is an Indian voice actor, obviously. So, I am confused about this Urdu dubbing business. I'll try asking someone I know. So till then, I think we should let the pages and the names remain under Urdu category.. :/

Request reason:

I wish to be unblocked, because many websites show Veronica Taylor's real birthdate to be April 9, 1978. I don't understand how that is considered to be a violation to the page, if I just added her birthdate in. I also want to continue to make useful contributions to this site, by adding in more valid information, so I find this block to be very unnecessary, since there's some reliable resource sites that actually provide the actress's real birthdate.

Decline reason:

The edit you made may or may not be accurate, but although you say that there are reliable sources for your information you did not, in spite of having been warned before, produce any. --Anthony Bradbury"talk" 19:46, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I'd also like to be unblocked, so I can contribute on other articles as well, such as additional information for source material and adding reference links to provide evidence of the information I gathered. There are many other articles that I can contribute as well. If that's the case, is it acceptable to approve the unblock? I feel very uncomfortable with this block that I need to wait through. If I do manage to get unblocked, I will try not to repeat the same mistake again. And for Veronica Taylor's birthdate, check out websites such as IMDB or voicechasers.com, because they have her birthdate on there, since those are good resource websites to find valid information for various actors and voice actors. That will be solid evidence, so I can provide the truth of her birthdate, and that way, it can be used as reliable soruces, and I can be unblocked. My critique for this reason for me to be blocked, seems very harsh, because the other language Wikipedia sites that feature the actress, also provide the real birthdate for this actress as well, so there is really no reason on why her birthdate can't be displayed on the English language Wikipedia. Here's the references to show proof of her birthdate: [[2]], [[3]],

Decline reason:

You still obviously do not understand what constitutes a reliable source (hint:click this link!!). IMDB and other user-generated websites and databases do not meet the criteria. In order to ensure you do not continue to add poorly sourced information to articles your account will need to remain blocked. Jezebel'sPonyobons mots 22:21, 16 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

But I've now learned from doing this. And like I said, If I get unblocked, I would make sure that I don't repeat the incident again. And I will take responsibility of my own actions of editing or creating an article of a person, the next time I want to find the correct age, and obviously, I found the correct age for Veronica Taylor, and her birthdate is shown. I clearly just don't understand why it won't be allowed to be displayed, when the other different language versions of Wikipedia can display them without having to go through any detail. I would like to be unblocked, because there are other things that I'd like to contribute as well. I don't think I should edit certain actor's profiles for a while, until I am ready to find better reliable sources. Sure, Veronica Taylor has her own website, but her birthdate is not mentioned on her site. What else is there to do?

Decline reason:

Unfortunately you have still not grasped the point. You have been repeatedly given links to the guide to identifying reliable sources (first time 8 April 2012; most recent time 16 December 2012), but you still do not seem to understand that the sources you have provided do not satisfy that guideline. You repeatedly say things like "I will try not to repeat the same mistake again" and "I would make sure that I don't repeat the incident again", but on each occasion you then immediately go on to explain that you think what you did was right, showing that you have no idea what your mistake was. If you can't see what was wrong with what you did then you can't avoid doing it again. JamesBWatson (talk) 09:44, 17 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Alright, it seems that I didn't learn, after all. Truth be told. It's too long to read through all that important information, because I feel as if the frustration is getting into me, from preventing to have the patience to read through the entire article. It looks like I may have to suffer the consequences and just stay blocked until the time of the block expires. But I am still gonna feel frustrated on the fact that I can't be unblocked, because I want to contribute on other articles with other helpful information, other then just articles of people. There are some things that need to be fixed, and it seems harsh that I need to wait a whole week, just to be unblocked. I really am sorry about the incident I've done, and I don't think I can be trusted to add birthdates anymore without any references, even if their true birthdate displays exist on many other websites, but can't be reliable. If I want to request someone to add in a valid birthdate of a person with a trusted reference, what should I do?

Decline reason:

You've used the {unblock} template to bring me here, just to tell me that you don't feel like reading the rules? If you really can't read and understand the rules, then this block should probably be indefinite, rather than just a week. But I won't lengthen it. Maybe you'll change your mind about reading the rules, after all. I will, however, disable your access to this talk page for the remainder of your block, since a fifth similar request would just be a waste of another admin's time. Lesson Learned

[edit]

After I was blocked for a week, I was able to change my mind of what I've claimed and I decided to read through most of the rules. I apologize for my arrogant pent-up behavior. As an apology, I have undone the edit that I made on Veronica Taylor and now her birthdate is no longer on display, unless someone can find a true reliable resource. If anyone can add that in, please help find a real reliable resource. Thanks. In the meantime, I will start contributing on other things. -BlueMario1016 (talk) 17:55, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article List of non-English-language The Land Before Time voice actors has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No sources. Random listcruft. Non-notable people. Largely incomplete.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. A tag has been placed on Visual Reality requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. reddogsix (talk) 03:28, 6 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Pedro Cardoso (Portuguese actor)

[edit]

Hello BlueMario1016,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Pedro Cardoso (Portuguese actor) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks, GeorgeLouis (talk) 01:02, 16 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Pedro Cardoso requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G6 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an orphaned disambiguation page which either

  • disambiguates two or fewer extant Wikipedia pages and whose title ends in "(disambiguation)" (i.e., there is a primary topic); or
  • disambiguates no (zero) extant Wikipedia pages, regardless of its title.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time. Please see the disambiguation page guidelines for more information.

File permission problem with File:Soundandvisionindia logo.png

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Soundandvisionindia logo.png. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 16:40, 22 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced analysis, content and speculation

[edit]

Hi, in these edits you add unsourced analysis and speculation to the article The Nightmare Room. You have been blocked at least twice since 2008 for adding unsourced content and you have been warned numerously over the years to not add unsourced content to articles, as recently as August 2014. Please consider this your final warning to please stop adding unsourced content to Wikipedia. It is not a difficult concept. If you feel or believe something, but you cannot support it with reliable sources, then it doesn't belong in articles. And here you have created an article on a living person without providing any references. Someone who has been active on Wikipedia for six years should know that this is unacceptable. Thank you, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 21:27, 23 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The article Jeremy Dash has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Proposed deletion of Connor Del Rio

[edit]

The article Connor Del Rio has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Actor with no notable roles

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

A tag has been placed on Shailendra Pandey requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. I just don't seem to understand why we can't allow that list to be featured in the page. Is there actual terms of service regarding original research and listening by ear? That is a lot of original re-search provided and it's a pain to see all that gone. It actually takes time and effort to put it together, like with any other Wikipedia page. ~BlueMario1016 (talk) 19:48, 12 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Write a book if you think your material is so worthwhile. I came here to point out that self-published sources cannot be used, which includes wikis and personal websites. And simple links to media playback sources are not encyclopedic references. In your recent addition, the only good source is for the X-Files composer. Conservative template

[edit]

I don't think you are adding to this template, or adding it to people's pages per the intent of WP:SIDEBAR. Not least the Sidebar is meant to be mirrored by the footer, which isn't being done, and the list of names is now grossly inflated to be particularly useless for anyone hoping to read articles of significance to Conservative politics by now including a lot of what are little more than radio talking heads. There is a section on the talk page of the template that you should probably contribute towards to discuss further additions. Koncorde (talk) 08:08, 25 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Shubhraj Bhat requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Michael Kovach moved to draftspace

[edit]

An article you recently created, Michael Kovach, is not suitable as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. scope_creepTalk 20:21, 30 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
